We had a truly wonderful stay. We stayed for two nights with our 1-year-old daughter. Dinner and breakfast were included, and the food was outstanding. They thoughtfully accommodated our child’s meals, taking her egg allergy and the size of the ingredients into consideration, and she was very happy. The staff also looked after her throughout, so we could enjoy our meal with peace of mind. The Room has special touches that help you forget the busyness of everyday life. Thanks to that, we were able to enjoy an extraordinary experience we don’t usually get to have. We would love to return again next time.

We were able to relax and take our time. Mount Asama, visible from the lobby, was absolutely beautiful and truly soothing. We enjoyed strolling through the expansive gardens, with places to sit and take a break here and there—everywhere we looked was stylish and lovely. Our child especially loved the house that can be used as a library. Both inside the building and throughout the gardens, everything felt beautifully designed wherever we walked, and even the small decorative touches were charming. The buffet dishes were also delicious, and in the calm atmosphere we could enjoy our meal at a leisurely pace. It was a wonderful hotel where we could truly unwind. We would love to visit again.

The Onsen in our Room was spacious, and it was relaxing to see greenery through the window. I also used the large public bath once; it had an open-air bath, ReFa hair dryers, and a drink bar in the changing area, which was a nice touch. We stayed in a dog-friendly Room, and it was very clean with no odor at all, so we were very comfortable. Since we had a Multiple Night Stay, I would have been happy to receive dog treats and water on the second day as well. I also couldn’t find any pet toilet sheets. The Nespresso and Mikado Coffee provided in the Room were much appreciated. Breakfast offered a great variety, and the dishes, juices, and fruit were all delicious. Next time, I’d like to visit when the weather is nice.

It was a quiet, standalone Accommodation. All the staff were pleasant, and the food was very delicious. I also liked that they used Okura China coffee cups (perhaps because there is an Okura outlet in Karuizawa). The Room consisted of two rooms—a bedroom and a Japanese-style room—unified in beige tones, giving a neat and clean impression. There were two open-air baths, which seemed like they may have originally been private open-air baths for guest rooms. They were hinoki-wood baths with plenty of hot water. However, it seemed I was the first to use them that day, so the water was extremely hot and I couldn’t soak for long. The large public bath was also free-flowing from the source and had a more comfortable temperature than the open-air baths. Dinner was Western-style. Everything was delicious, including the seaweed salad, assorted terrines, grilled char (meunière), and roast beef. Breakfast was Japanese-style. Overall it’s a good Hotel, but perhaps due to the location there were many stink bugs. There were about 10 dead ones on the window frame in my Room, and I felt they probably weren’t from that day. Also, I noticed some staining on the washbasin. If these two points are improved, I think it would be an even better Hotel. Overall, it’s a Hotel I would like to visit again.
