We had an incredibly fulfilling stay. From the interior and exterior design to the furniture, decor, fixtures, amenities, lawn, and open grounds, this was a wonderfully comfortable Facility where you can feel the attention to detail everywhere. The interior is unified in a calm design, with very high ceilings that create an airy sense of openness, allowing us to fully enjoy a special time away from everyday life. The vanity area and bathroom were especially spacious and impressive—made with high-quality materials and kept impeccably clean down to every corner. The amenities also felt thoughtfully chosen; for example, Aesop hand soap was provided at the sink. All essential cookware and appliances were available, so we could stay comfortably without any inconvenience. We even enjoyed handheld fireworks in the garden. The views of Mt. Fuji and the Southern Alps were also stunning—scenery you could gaze at for hours without noticing time pass. Most memorable of all were the wood-fired sauna and cold plunge bath. The wood-fired sauna was exceptional—enjoying it while feeling the flicker of flames, hearing the crackle of burning logs, and breathing in the scent of wood was truly special. Unlike an electric heater, it had a gentle heat that warmed us slowly from deep within and helped us relax completely. A large amount of sauna stones were thoroughly heated, so we could also enjoy pleasant steam from löyly. It’s an ideal setup that I would highly recommend even to dedicated sauna lovers. They added ice to the cold plunge bath multiple times for us, so we could cool down properly. Paired with the wood-fired sauna, it was perfect—we fully enjoyed every session. In the evening we enjoyed a BBQ, and we really appreciated that the owner prepared everything—from lighting the fire to setting everything up. On top of that, we received a generous gift of fresh vegetables grown by his wife. They were all rare varieties you don’t often see day-to-day, and you could feel careful attention not only in each vegetable but also in their labels and packaging. We tried them right away at our BBQ—especially the eggplant, which was unbelievably tender and delicious. Beyond how wonderful both the Facility itself and its location are, we were truly moved by the owners’ thoughtful hospitality as well. In this extraordinary setting—with beautiful views, a wood-fired sauna experience like no other،and BBQ—we spent a luxurious yet deeply comfortable time here. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much for such a wonderful experience.

The building features German architecture with meticulous craftsmanship down to the smallest details, and the striking fireplace is lit with logs at dinnertime, soothing you with the gentle crackle and flicker of the flames. The meals were also outstanding French cuisine. The tableware and cutlery are excellent as well, making the dining experience even better. Elegant Lladró pieces add a touch of color to the Room. In every respect, you can truly feel the host’s heartfelt hospitality.

We were soothed by the greenery visible through the large windows and enjoyed a relaxing, luxurious stay. The weather was great, and it was wonderful to have tea and breakfast outside while listening to birdsong. We were also deeply moved by an unexpected surprise—a herd of deer came to graze nearby. We would love to visit again.

Just as shown in the photos on IKYU, the Accommodation is surrounded by nature, and the location overlooking the Kofu Basin is truly spectacular. The Room is compact, but its tent-like design makes it fun. The bath isn’t an Onsen, but the night view from the open-air bath was stunning and more than satisfying. Before dinner, we relaxed by swaying in a hammock on the terrace and taking our time by the campfire. Dining while watching the scenery gradually shift from dusk to a sparkling night view felt wonderfully luxurious, and the food was delicious. From the Room facilities and amenities to even small details like tableware and cutlery, everything showed careful attention, and overall it felt very tasteful. In the morning I woke up before dawn and spent time watching the Kofu Basin slowly brighten while looking out at Mt. Fuji. Having coffee by the campfire was a truly memorable experience—one I’m sure I’ll remember for a long time. I highly recommend this Accommodation, though breakfast is self-prepared, so that point may come down to personal preference.

We stayed for one night with dinner and breakfast included as a family of three. While the building feels a bit old, it is well maintained and very clean, so we had a very comfortable stay. We chose a meal-included Plan, and the food was excellent—we were able to relax and enjoy our meals. The drink bar with alcohol was fantastic, and I ended up getting refills many times (a bit tipsy). Breakfast also had a wide variety, and I went back for both Japanese and Western dishes. The houtou noodles were delicious as well. One thing that concerned me slightly was an odor in the Room. It didn’t bother us while we were in the Room, but when we returned after bathing, the smell stood out—so I think this could be improved. The bath area is small but includes an open-air bath and a sauna, and it was great that we could use the private bath for free. There were also massage chairs and computers available to use for free as part of the Facility offerings, plus unlimited manga—it felt like there wasn’t enough time to enjoy everything. Overall, it was a very good Accommodation. I would like to stay again. Thank you very much.

A friend recommended Kiyosato to me, and my long-awaited 3-night, 4-day stay during the Obon holiday finally came true. We were very well taken care of at Country Inn Orchard. The owner welcomed us warmly, and everything—from the meals to the interior design—was beautiful, making our memories in Kiyosato truly unforgettable. By the time I boarded the train out of Kiyosato on the last day, I already wanted to come back again soon. Thank you very much!

This accommodation is highly recommended for a multiple night stay. One night is simply not enough. There are plenty of experiences to enjoy, such as cooking in a fully equipped kitchen, gathering herbs on the property, watching movies with a projector, reading books available in the room, grinding and brewing your own coffee beans, and sitting by the campfire. During this visit, I stayed for one night and felt reluctant to leave. I promised my friends that we would definitely come back again. The open space with high ceilings and large windows was incredibly pleasant. Next time, I plan to stay longer to enjoy drawing, knitting, reading books, relaxing in the sauna, or taking walks. This is the perfect place to escape from the busyness of city life and take time to reconnect with yourself—highly recommended!

I’ve stayed here several times, and I don’t think there’s any other Accommodation like this. I experienced something similar once in Switzerland, but I’ve never come across anything like it in Japan. It’s the kind of Facility that could seem almost too ambitious—like the sort of place you build and then it gradually deteriorates—but instead, it’s an incredible space, with amazing wood-fire cooking, and above all, a truly wonderful setting where you can freely enjoy a campfire. I genuinely have so much respect for what you’ve created! And on top of that, Kiyosato is one of Japan’s best resort areas for fresh air. This was a new discovery for me: When coming from central Tokyo to Kiyosato, do you usually drive all the way? This time I took the Azusa to Kofu Station and then rented a car from there, and it was honestly perfect! So I’d love to stay with you again very soon. Thank you for such a truly wonderful Accommodation! By the way, I especially recommend the villa.

I wanted to relax on my own for a change, found a great-value Plan, and made a Reservation. The staff welcomed me with warm smiles and guided me smoothly to my Room. They even told me where to buy delicious peaches, and I was already so happy I chose to come. After resting in my Room for a bit, I headed straight to the Onsen. It happened to be quiet at that time, so I ended up soaking for ages. I felt like my skin looked better and it really lifted my mood—so after dinner, I went back in again. Finding an Onsen I truly love was the best part of all. The ice cream after the bath was also great. Breakfast was a half-buffet featuring mainly fermented foods—and it was amazing! I especially loved the dried daikon radish and hijiki simmered in tomato sauce so much that I want to make it at home. The salmon served first was also plump and delicious; it made me think, “Is it really okay to enjoy something this luxurious in the morning?”—such a wonderful escape from everyday life. Each dish was light and refreshing, so you may find yourself eating too much—in that sense, be careful (lol). I also loved that check-out is at 11:00, which meant I could enjoy another relaxing soak in the Onsen in the morning. Everyone on staff was kind, and this has become an Accommodation I definitely want to stay at again. Thank you very much, Ryokan Meiji.

Because I booked just two days in advance, only the No Meals Included Plan was available. However, I brought my own ingredients and was allowed to use the irori hearth, so I really enjoyed cooking and eating there. Everything was prepared so that starting the fire was easy. I also took my time in the open-air bath and was very satisfied. When I decided to make a Reservation, the No Meals Included option that had been available until the day before was already fully booked, which was disappointing at first. But there was a separate Plan called “No Meals Included (Self Check-in),” and I could book that instead. Since the self check-in plan is not shown prominently, some guests may give up on making a Reservation. It would be better to unify it under No Meals Included and explain it in a message during booking (as self check-in is standard for this type of Accommodation).

It was wonderful!!! Everything was clean, and it had almost everything we needed for a comfortable stay. A campfire, sauna, outdoor grill, pool, jacuzzi, starry skies—and a quiet, safe private space where we could truly relax. Nearby there were supermarkets for groceries, a specialty ham and sausage shop, a delicious soba restaurant, and day-use Onsen facilities as well, so our family was able to unwind and enjoy our time together. The Southern Alps mountains were absolutely stunning!! The staff were also kind. We would definitely love to come back again.

Stayed in an 8-tatami mat Japanese-style room without a toilet or bath. I usually stay in a double room at a business hotel, but the absence of a toilet and bath made the room feel more spacious. The bath was not very large, but compared to a unit bath, it was much more spacious and relaxing. The ryokan had a charming atmosphere, which was delightful. Since I didn't have high expectations due to the lack of toilet and bath, I was very satisfied with my stay.

The soothing sights of the surrounding hills and the sounds of the river and insects were truly relaxing. The room was clean, and dinner was a delightful BBQ on the terrace while enjoying the sunset view. The meal included vegetables, rice balls, pickles, and an abundance of delicious meat. The private bath in a separate building was spacious and refreshing! Morning and evening walks were incredibly pleasant! Breakfast was absolutely amazing—homemade bread, homemade bacon, freshly picked vegetable salad—it made for a luxurious and blissful morning. There were two adorable dogs guarding the fields; they were so friendly and cute! This wonderful accommodation is filled with the kindness of its warm-hearted owner family. We also received plenty of fresh vegetables as souvenirs—they were incredibly delicious. Thank you for such a fantastic time!

Stayed at the end of October with my wife. It was indeed a charming pension inspired by the Green Gable House with its gable roof and fireplace. The interior was polished and exuded cleanliness. The elderly owner was very friendly, kind, and accommodating. The family bath was spacious and spotless. While there were mentions in reviews about the aging facility, it was meticulously cleaned, so I didn’t find it bothersome at all. The family bath was also exceptionally clean. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh vegetables that my wife thoroughly enjoyed as well. Although it is set to close by the end of next year, I am determined to visit again before then. This is a pension where families can stay comfortably without worry!

It is very quiet as it is slightly away from the main street. Although it was fully booked, the number of rooms was just right, providing a calm atmosphere unlike large hotels. The room was well-cleaned. The meals were delicious and satisfying, leaving me full. It would be nice to have an option for smaller portions. The bath had excellent water quality and ambiance. It was an accommodation I would like to stay at again.
