The entire property was spotless, and it felt incredibly comfortable. As others have mentioned, the meals offered a wide variety of dishes and were very filling—but everything was delicious. The flavors were gentle and well-balanced. My eyes, heart, and stomach—down to every last cell—felt completely satisfied! Even my husband, who is usually picky about food, ate until we were absolutely full. Despite that, we didn’t feel heavy at all afterward. The stairs and hallways creak as you go up and down, giving a sense of the building’s history. Although it was my first visit, it somehow felt nostalgic—like coming home to my parents’ house—and I could truly relax. It says the toilets and washrooms are shared, but they are separated for men and women. Both are spacious and easy to use. The toilets seem newly renovated; each time you open the door there’s a soothing scent of wood, and the washlet is a modern model. The kirie (paper-cut) artwork displayed throughout the building is said to be a hobby of a priest with ties to this place—but it’s far beyond hobby level and truly impressive. With such meticulous cleanliness throughout creating a calming atmosphere—and such wonderful energy—it almost felt like staying at a temple lodging. You can feel thoughtful hospitality in every detail. I slept deeply and was able to rest well. Thank you very much.

It was my first visit, and it turned into a truly fulfilling stay! The villa was spotless, with plenty of amenities and well-stocked supplies, so we felt comfortable throughout. Even though it’s surrounded by nature, there were effective insect-repellent items provided, which we really appreciated—bugs never bothered us. The sauna was especially memorable. After warming up with löyly, the flow from the cold plunge to outdoor relaxation was perfect, and we enjoyed repeating it again and again. It feels like a villa you can enjoy in many different ways depending on the season and how you choose to spend your time. We stayed with children this time, and they were thrilled and absolutely loved it. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t great, so we’d love to come back in a different season for a do-over!

This was my second stay. The room had just been renovated, and the air conditioner, air purifier, and bidet toilet seat were especially new and pleasant to use. The room was thoroughly cleaned down to every corner and very comfortable. The on-site restaurant serves Vietnamese cuisine for both lunch and dinner. The breakfast set is reasonably priced at 800 yen. There were many international guests, but it didn’t bother me. They kindly allowed me to leave my car in the parking lot for a while after checkout, which was very helpful. I would like to stay again.

Thank you for the wonderful experience at the end of the year. I requested a hotel with a view of Mt. Fuji, and this one seemed perfect! Even from the room on the second floor, Mt. Fuji was fully visible through the window, and I was deeply impressed by how much I could enjoy and admire it from there! In the past, I’ve stayed at accommodations with views of Mt. Fuji from Lake Kawaguchi (with an open-air bath in the room), but sometimes the angle wasn’t ideal... Here, you can truly appreciate a clear and beautiful view of Mt. Fuji’s shape! I chose a plan with breakfast only, but for dinner, we went to a nearby Houtou restaurant! The breakfast offered both Japanese and Western options and was very satisfying! The biggest gratitude goes to all staff members for their excellent service—definitely 5 stars!!! Although I am Japanese, there were staff at reception who seemed skilled in languages, always smiling throughout our stay—it made me feel so comfortable! Since it was during New Year’s season, they had lucky bags available for purchase; when I bought one, I couldn’t believe how luxurious it was—it felt like such an amazing deal! Thank you so much!!

We visited last year for a tennis training camp with friends and family and were extremely satisfied, so we came back again. We stayed around mid-May this year as well. It rained on check-in day, but it started to clear around 4:00 pm and we were able to play for about two and a half hours. Having bathrooms/showers on each floor (two in total) was great, as it helped avoid congestion after sports. The tennis locker room is also directly connected to the entrance, which was perfect. For dinner, we picked up supplies at a butcher shop and Watahan about 15 minutes away by car and had a BBQ on the terrace. Since it’s covered, rain during the meal wasn’t an issue at all. The kitchen is well equipped too—if you bring your own seasonings, you can cook just about anything. We also had a lot of fun playing table tennis after dinner. On check-out day, we could use the tennis court until 12:00 pm, so we stayed active until we were fully satisfied, then headed home after eating Yoshida udon. It was an amazing one-night/two-day stay. We’d love to stay again.

This villa is run by a couple, and they were both very welcoming. Everything was clean, and we had a very comfortable stay. You can’t see Mt. Fuji from the Room, but from the terrace in the backyard you can enjoy a panoramic view of Mt. Fuji in all its grandeur. We had dinner at the adjacent restaurant run by the same couple; every dish was high quality and we were very satisfied.

We stayed here with our dog. The Facility was clean, and it was great that dog supplies were provided. The kitchen was also convenient, with everything we needed. This is a Facility we would like to use again.

Thank you for taking care of us again this year, just like last year. We were very happy that the owner remembered us. The Room was as clean and cozy as before, with a warm wooden atmosphere. The kitchen and amenities were well-equipped, making our stay comfortable. The space for children was truly wonderful, and they had so much fun playing from the moment we arrived. Adults could enjoy BBQ at a relaxed pace, which was very satisfying. The starry sky was incredibly beautiful, allowing us to unwind while gazing at it and refresh both body and mind. My spouse, our daughters, and our grandchild stayed here and were very well taken care of. Twin-bed Japanese-Western Room with breakfast and dinner included Separate bath and toilet, two TVs The Room was very spacious and comfortable. You make your own futon. Dinner was prepared in the Room. We were able to eat together at a relaxed pace. Steamed pork and lots of vegetables in a bamboo steamer Rice, three small side dishes, and bite-sized dessert (kuzumochi). Miso soup and tea were brought in a pot. For our grandchild: omurice, potato soup, and vanilla ice cream. There was a slightly larger fridge (freezer on top, refrigerator below), so even guests without meals could stock ingredients for cooking. Cooking utensils and plastic wrap were provided. There were separate trash bins for bottles/cans and burnable waste. There was a DVD player, and many DVDs were available to borrow in the lobby. On the balcony there were chairs and an ashtray. The women’s bath had four washing stations. Shampoo etc. were provided. Hair dryers were available (Dyson and ReFa). There is also a water dispenser. Breakfast was delicious too: Bread, rice, curry, scones, yogurt, dashi ochazuke, etc. On the 1st floor there is the dining area, baths, laundry area, ice machine, vending machines, table tennis, massage chairs— all free to use. There was also a kids’ room. Our grandchild played on the day we arrived and played plenty until check-out the next day. There was a large TV and lots of Yogibo cushions/beanbags. It was our first time staying at this type of Accommodation, but it was really great. Some guests were having BBQs in the garden as well. We’d like to come again. However, maybe because the elevator doors are slightly misaligned, they made an extremely loud roaring noise every time they opened or closed. It made us a bit worried. The majestic view of Mount Fuji can be enjoyed from the living room, balcony, and even the bathroom, making it an exceptional experience. The Room was warm, clean, and free of unpleasant odors, ensuring a comfortable stay overall. With parking space available, it is perfect for staying with family or friends. It is also conveniently located near Kawaguchiko Station and close to a famous Lawson convenience store and restaurants. Initially, I thought I needed to use the QR code provided during pre-registration but realized that wasn’t the case. After some confusion, I called the management company for assistance. They responded promptly but mentioned an email had been sent; however, as it was sent after 5 PM on the previous day, I hadn’t noticed it. The system required entering a passcode to unlock the door; knowing this process earlier would have been helpful. Additionally, when pressing the button to fill up the bathwater, a message appeared on the panel saying "Please open hot water outlet," but no water came out initially. Upon checking instructions on the table, it mentioned either using a hot water outlet or faucet; in this building’s case, it was through faucets. If this had been indicated directly on the button itself (e.g., "Use faucet"), confusion could have been avoided. There were only bath towels and hand towels provided per person; having face towels would have been appreciated as well. While there was a washing machine with detergent pods available (which was great), only towel racks were provided for drying laundry—adding hangers or clip hangers would make things even more convenient. I’d love to stay here again if given another opportunity! Thank you very much!

My mother stayed at this facility to celebrate her 77th birthday, a special milestone. Everyone was kind and provided very polite service, warmly welcoming us. Both dinner and breakfast were carefully prepared, with attention to every dish and sauce. Everything was delicious from start to finish, leaving us feeling truly happy. My mother was also very pleased and had a wonderful time. We would love to visit Auberge Mermaid again in the future. Thank you for creating such wonderful memories!

It was a very clean Ryokan. I could walk around barefoot comfortably and had a pleasant stay. They provided black tabi socks for indoor use, but since they were unisex, the men’s size seemed small (lol), so I stayed barefoot. The meals were just as described in the Reviews—very satisfying. Each dish was carefully prepared and delicious. I’d love to stay again. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

Although it’s an older building, it was very clean and well maintained. Best of all, the view of Mt. Fuji is spectacular! The service was excellent, and thank you for your thoughtful hospitality. We’ll be back!

A hideaway-like rental villa nestled in the forest, the chic yet comfortable space was very pleasant. The sauna heated up well, allowing us to relax while enjoying the forest view during the outdoor air bath. The bath is home-sized. As it is unmanned, there are no particular services, but the pre-arrival email guidance was very clear, allowing us to enjoy a comfortable stay without any inconvenience. I would love to stay again next year!

Check-in is between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM. After receiving a brief explanation, the hotel staff left, allowing us to enjoy a completely private space for a luxurious experience. This time, we did not hire a private chef but brought our own wine and food for dinner. Every item and piece of furniture is carefully selected, creating an atmosphere that feels like stepping back in time to a historical drama. You can rent out this incredibly luxurious space exclusively. The bedroom is also meticulously designed, and from the second-floor bedroom, you can wake up to an amazing view of Lake Kawaguchi right in front of you—a perfect location. For Onsen lovers, you can use the Onsen at the nearby Ashiwada Hotel. While I didn’t use it myself, my companion did and said both the indoor bath and open-air bath were fantastic. As for drawbacks, there are no izakayas or shops nearby where you can casually walk out to dine or shop. Renting out this secluded traditional house for multiple nights would make for an exceptionally luxurious trip (this time we stayed one night but would love to stay longer next time when we have more time). Since it’s still newly opened, prices are quite affordable now; however, I predict they will gradually increase over time (it feels too cheap at the moment). We stayed as four adults this time and everyone was extremely satisfied—we’ve already decided to visit again in September! Unfortunately, due to bad weather this trip, we couldn’t try kayaking; next time we hope to challenge ourselves with early morning kayaking while enjoying views of Mount Fuji reflected on the water!

We were truly impressed by the breathtaking views that let us fully enjoy Lake Kawaguchi, the sauna and open-air bath, the campfire, the teppanyaki grill table, drink-inclusive service, and more than ample Facilities/amenities—above all, by the heartfelt hospitality of the staff. We would love to stay again.

This was our first time glamping, so we were a little nervous, but the staff were very kind and attentive, which really helped. It was easier to enjoy than we expected. The views were beautiful, the food was delicious, and having drinks while looking at Mt. Fuji was amazing. We felt truly relaxed and had a perfect day. We would definitely like to come back again.

We had an amazing time surrounded by peaceful nature. The interior was clean and spacious, making it easy to relax, and it was very helpful that so many essentials were provided! First of all, the owner was very kind and helpful. The Room was clean, and it had most of what we needed. Above all, every BBQ ingredient was delicious, and everyone in our group was very satisfied with the meal. If you’re staying here, I recommend booking a plan with meals included. Please note that the bath is shower-only, so we used a nearby Onsen Facility.
