We had an incredibly fulfilling stay. From the interior and exterior design to the furniture, decor, fixtures, amenities, lawn, and open grounds, this was a wonderfully comfortable Facility where you can feel the attention to detail everywhere. The interior is unified in a calm design, with very high ceilings that create an airy sense of openness, allowing us to fully enjoy a special time away from everyday life. The vanity area and bathroom were especially spacious and impressive—made with high-quality materials and kept impeccably clean down to every corner. The amenities also felt thoughtfully chosen; for example, Aesop hand soap was provided at the sink. All essential cookware and appliances were available, so we could stay comfortably without any inconvenience. We even enjoyed handheld fireworks in the garden. The views of Mt. Fuji and the Southern Alps were also stunning—scenery you could gaze at for hours without noticing time pass. Most memorable of all were the wood-fired sauna and cold plunge bath. The wood-fired sauna was exceptional—enjoying it while feeling the flicker of flames, hearing the crackle of burning logs, and breathing in the scent of wood was truly special. Unlike an electric heater, it had a gentle heat that warmed us slowly from deep within and helped us relax completely. A large amount of sauna stones were thoroughly heated, so we could also enjoy pleasant steam from löyly. It’s an ideal setup that I would highly recommend even to dedicated sauna lovers. They added ice to the cold plunge bath multiple times for us, so we could cool down properly. Paired with the wood-fired sauna, it was perfect—we fully enjoyed every session. In the evening we enjoyed a BBQ, and we really appreciated that the owner prepared everything—from lighting the fire to setting everything up. On top of that, we received a generous gift of fresh vegetables grown by his wife. They were all rare varieties you don’t often see day-to-day, and you could feel careful attention not only in each vegetable but also in their labels and packaging. We tried them right away at our BBQ—especially the eggplant, which was unbelievably tender and delicious. Beyond how wonderful both the Facility itself and its location are, we were truly moved by the owners’ thoughtful hospitality as well. In this extraordinary setting—with beautiful views, a wood-fired sauna experience like no other،and BBQ—we spent a luxurious yet deeply comfortable time here. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much for such a wonderful experience.

We traveled with my elderly mother-in-law, and as on our previous stay, everything—such as preparing chairs—was arranged with extra care, allowing us to spend a very comfortable time. The meals were consistently excellent as well. Since we stay around the same time every year, we would appreciate it if you could consider adding a bit more variety to items such as the hassun. To all the staff, thank you very much for your help and thoughtful attention.

This is a wonderful Ryokan that moves me every time I visit. The Room, baths, cuisine, the staff’s smiles, and the overall atmosphere throughout the property are all exceptional, and time seems to slow down. Both the fresh enthusiasm of the younger staff and the understated attentiveness of the experienced staff naturally bring a smile. The welcome service includes soft drinks as well as wine—and that wine is surprisingly delicious. Breakfast also comes with a choice of drinks; the 100% peach juice is pure peach—peach! peach! peach!—and absolutely worth trying at least once. And the cuisine is outstanding. Though the chef is young, everything—from seasonal menus and presentation to masterful use of dashi—is superb. The creativity is remarkable, and the expressive artistry of each dish (including the tableware) is truly next level. The view from the open-air bath in our Room—sunlit green trees against a blue sky—was beautiful, and soaking in an open-air bath during a sudden downpour was an experience with its own special charm. This is a lovely kappo-style Ryokan that soothes me every time I stay. Having visited in spring and summer, I would love to return in autumn next time.

The Room allowed smoking, but it was very clean and had no smell at all. There was no noise from outside; the only sound I could hear was the refrigerator motor near the pillow, so I was able to spend my time quietly. If you go by car, the parking lot is spacious, and it is conveniently located right next to a main road. It was excellent.

The free-flowing, continuously fed Onsen was wonderfully abundant, and each private bath had a calm, relaxing atmosphere. The cuisine was perfect for wine lovers, with rare wines to match. The interior design—and the lamps placed throughout—were all beautifully chosen. Right in front of the Accommodation, there is a row of cherry trees along the riverbank; I can only imagine how stunning the view must be during cherry blossom season. I won’t wait until then—I will definitely return again soon. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

We stayed here with our family again after a long time, and we felt the service had improved even more. All the staff were very courteous, and we were truly happy that they remembered our previous stay. The meals were excellent—not only dinner, but especially breakfast, which offered an impressive variety and was delicious. We were also surprised to see the owner personally serving guests at breakfast. This is an Accommodation we would love to visit again. Highly recommended!!

From the moment we stepped inside, it felt like entering another world—an elegant Room full of charm. The Japanese garden unfolding before us was simply breathtaking; with colorful koi gliding through the pond, we could enjoy a view as if it were a perfect landscape photograph all to ourselves. The exquisite traditional craftsmanship in the Room’s fittings also conveyed the Accommodation’s attention to detail. Every in-room meal was carefully prepared and outstanding, and thanks to our cheerful, friendly attendant, we enjoyed an even more pleasant dining experience. The spotless private open-air stone bath sized for two was also wonderful, leaving us truly refreshed in both body and mind.

This was our second stay, following last year. We visit every year during peach season and have stayed at various Accommodations, but we returned because we were so comfortable here last year. We stayed in a Japanese-style Room, which was standard, but the lounge and private dining rooms were spacious. Above all, the meals were outstanding. They were great last year as well, but this time they were even more enjoyable. The hot spring water also felt wonderful and left our skin feeling pleasantly plump. All of the staff were welcoming, and we’re already looking forward to next year.

All the staff were incredibly kind! The Room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. We had a Multiple Night Stay, and the dinner menu changed on the second night (even for kids!), and the main meat dish was especially delicious. Since we travel with children, we’ve often stayed at Accommodations with buffet-style dinners lately, but at this Accommodation our child enjoyed the food so much that they ate a lot, which was great. There are lovely vineyards and a houtou restaurant nearby, so we could enjoy the area as well. We also used the Hotel pool, and even without a car our family had plenty to do. It was also nice that towels were always available in the large public bath. There’s a convenience store just a short walk from the Hotel, which is very handy. A wonderful Hotel that’s very welcoming for families with children!

The large public bath opened at 5:00 a.m., so I was able to enjoy it comfortably on my own. The entire property was very clean. Having to tap the room key to access each floor made me feel safe.

I was impressed by how automated check-in and check-out are now, but since I was with my daughter, we got through it smoothly. The welcome drink grape juice was so good that I kept going back for more—even after the late-night noodles. The coffee was great both hot and iced. After walking around Kofu, I headed to the large public bath to avoid the crowds. Soaking in the Onsen and seeing Mt. Fuji from the open-air bath was breathtaking. Feeling refreshed, I took another stroll around town before dinner at a restaurant I had reserved. There are plenty of dining options from the station to around the Hotel, which will be helpful next time as well. After dinner, I went back to the large public bath for another soak, then enjoyed the late-night noodles. Since it was Saturday, there were many families and inbound travelers. As a local specialty, those late-night noodles were delicious—especially the seasoned egg topping with just the right level of flavor. Despite how many guests there were, it stayed quiet inside, and you could even check how busy things were during late-night noodles and breakfast. Breakfast also featured lots of local ingredients, with so many small side dishes that it was hard to choose. There were stewed offal dishes (motsuni), beef stew, and rice porridge as well (made fresh upon request). I relaxed with coffee until check-out and really enjoyed my first Dormy Inn stay. The staff struck a perfect balance—attentive without being intrusive—which made it very comfortable. Of course, I also enjoyed both the post-bath ice cream and lactic acid drink service.

All staff were pleasant overall, and the check-in explanations were detailed and courteous, so I had no trouble during my stay. This time I booked a Multiple Night Stay for two nights, and the breakfast side dishes had a good variety with some changes each morning, so I enjoyed it without getting bored. As for the Room, on the first day we were assigned one at the hotel’s discretion; it was a twin Room with plenty of space. The second day’s Room (single) was simple but more than sufficient, very clean, and comfortable. It was also great that each Room has its own air conditioner, making the environment comfortable throughout. The only downside is that getting around by elevator can take time, so it’s best to allow extra time when moving around. In addition to the in-room bath, there is a large public bath on the top floor with panoramic city views, as well as an open-air bath, which made for a very relaxing experience. There are also good restaurants nearby, so unless there is heavy rain or similar weather, you shouldn’t feel inconvenienced. There are many affiliated parking lots nearby; if you park at places like Yodobashi Parking, you can choose covered parking as well, which made driving there feel reassuring.

This was my first stay, and every staff member I met in the Hotel offered truly wonderful greetings and service. The meals were delicious, the service was attentive, and being able to enjoy several types of wine at the wine server corner was a great Facility for wine lovers. These days, when staying at foreign-owned Hotels, services are often simplified; however, this Hotel feels like it carries on Japan’s heartfelt hospitality from a better era. Thanks to the staff’s excellent attentiveness and consistently comfortable service, it became a wonderfully relaxing trip. Thank you very much. I would love to visit again.

Thank you very much for your kind hospitality. I would love to visit again. Access was easy if you have a car, and this Hotel offered plenty of enjoyment with the baths and hot stone sauna. The Japanese-style room felt a bit small for triple occupancy, but it would be perfectly fine for two, and offers great value for money!

Because our Room was on the 2nd floor, we were disappointed that we couldn’t see the koi in the pond. My wife is pregnant, and it was difficult because it was a long walk to the elevator. Not only in the garden but also around the open-air bath in the large public bath, many decorative stones were placed throughout, which made it very relaxing. I thought it was very rare to have an outdoor cold plunge bath for the sauna. Next time, we’d like to stay at the Ryokan longer and relax in the open-air bath.

Welcome drinks are available, such as coffee and lemon detox water. The Room is compact and cozy, so you can relax as if you were in your own room. The recommended peach smoothie at breakfast was delicious, and the ochazuke was light and tasty too! There are also waffles you can bake yourself, which made the kids very happy. My favorite was the hearty curry. With reasonable prices and breakfast included, this Hotel offers excellent value for money. There are plenty of restaurants nearby for dinner, so you won’t have any trouble finding a place to eat. I’d like to stay here again if I visit Yamanashi.

It was our first time staying here. There were so many different baths that one day wasn’t enough, and we were very satisfied. My husband was also very pleased. We would like to stay again.

We visited as a family of four, meeting up at Yamanashishi Station with our eldest son who lives in Tokyo and the three of us who drove from Kansai. As we got closer to the Accommodation, the country road shown by the navigation system made us think, “Could it really be this way?” and we struggled a little. If I had to mention any negatives from this trip, it would be that—and that the washbasin sink was black, so water marks were slightly noticeable after use. Upon arrival, we were surprised by how distinct and impressive it looked compared with its surroundings. We arrived about 30 minutes earlier than planned, but we were warmly welcomed and smoothly shown inside, which left a great first impression. The moment we opened the tasteful sliding entrance door set back from the gate, we were moved by the view stretching from the pine tree in the center courtyard all the way to the kura storehouse building across it. While preserving many historical elements—such as exterior walls, tiled roof, and pillars—the interior has been renovated into a clean and refined space that feels wonderful to spend time in. In both the audio room at the back where you can listen to records and the second-floor study stocked with everything from relatively recent Japanese literature to art books and foreign titles, there were chairs and ottomans in different styles arranged throughout. We were able to forget everyday life and relax at length. These spaces became favorites for my wife and daughter, who have a strong appreciation for music and art. My eldest son and I also used the sauna in the separate kura building across the courtyard before dinner. It’s available 24 hours; he enjoyed it late at night, while I went again after breakfast the next morning. In addition to a cold plunge bath there is also a regular bathtub; together with the indoor hinoki cypress bath in main building where you can fully stretch out your legs, there are two bathing options. Dinner and breakfast were served in another kura building on opposite side , featuring thoughtfully crafted dishes using plenty of local ingredients. We thoroughly enjoyed everything—especially Koshu-style sukiyaki with beef and horse meat paired with three dipping sauces—alongside wine we picked up on our way there. After dinner we projected onto a large screen with projector held family drama viewing night for all four of us. We slept in bedroom where four beds could be lined up comfortably side by side. They even provided charging cables at each bedside equipped with three types of connectors—we were impressed by such attention to detail. Speaking of details: along with alcohol , refrigerator was stocked plenty chilled mineral water which was very helpful given season . There was also an assortment of nostalgic snacks card games insect-repellent items etc., showing both thoughtfulness playfulness. A location completely removed from noise spacious layout well-maintained Facilities lacking nothing an endlessly interesting interior blending old new perfectly—and being able enjoy all without interference as family four. It exceeded our expectations imagination. We’re glad chose this place for one those precious few times each year when whole family can gather . Thank you for your attentive hospitality .

The private open-air bath and sauna were absolutely amazing, and I felt completely refreshed with an Oropo after the cold plunge! The meals were also very satisfying, with plenty of ingredients from Yamanashi Prefecture. Since the Room was separated as well, it felt very private and relaxing without worrying about others. I’d love to come again.
