This was my first stay here, and I was impressed from the start by the unique tea served on arrival. The room was thoughtfully stocked with every amenity you could hope for. I also enjoyed the private bath and the meals. The attentive, detailed hospitality was wonderful. One small thing: perhaps it was just bad timing, but when I visited the shop a few times there was no staff present, so I hesitated to call someone—though I was able to shop the next day without any issues. Thank you for taking such good care of me.

We had an incredibly fulfilling stay. From the interior and exterior design to the furniture, decor, fixtures, amenities, lawn, and open grounds, this was a wonderfully comfortable Facility where you can feel the attention to detail everywhere. The interior is unified in a calm design, with very high ceilings that create an airy sense of openness, allowing us to fully enjoy a special time away from everyday life. The vanity area and bathroom were especially spacious and impressive—made with high-quality materials and kept impeccably clean down to every corner. The amenities also felt thoughtfully chosen; for example, Aesop hand soap was provided at the sink. All essential cookware and appliances were available, so we could stay comfortably without any inconvenience. We even enjoyed handheld fireworks in the garden. The views of Mt. Fuji and the Southern Alps were also stunning—scenery you could gaze at for hours without noticing time pass. Most memorable of all were the wood-fired sauna and cold plunge bath. The wood-fired sauna was exceptional—enjoying it while feeling the flicker of flames, hearing the crackle of burning logs, and breathing in the scent of wood was truly special. Unlike an electric heater, it had a gentle heat that warmed us slowly from deep within and helped us relax completely. A large amount of sauna stones were thoroughly heated, so we could also enjoy pleasant steam from löyly. It’s an ideal setup that I would highly recommend even to dedicated sauna lovers. They added ice to the cold plunge bath multiple times for us, so we could cool down properly. Paired with the wood-fired sauna, it was perfect—we fully enjoyed every session. In the evening we enjoyed a BBQ, and we really appreciated that the owner prepared everything—from lighting the fire to setting everything up. On top of that, we received a generous gift of fresh vegetables grown by his wife. They were all rare varieties you don’t often see day-to-day, and you could feel careful attention not only in each vegetable but also in their labels and packaging. We tried them right away at our BBQ—especially the eggplant, which was unbelievably tender and delicious. Beyond how wonderful both the Facility itself and its location are, we were truly moved by the owners’ thoughtful hospitality as well. In this extraordinary setting—with beautiful views, a wood-fired sauna experience like no other،and BBQ—we spent a luxurious yet deeply comfortable time here. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much for such a wonderful experience.

This is a heartwarming hotel where every detail reflects genuine care for guests. Our whole family became fans. They also shared information about nearby sightseeing spots, and later put together brochures along with a handwritten message. The children’s amenities were well stocked, and when co-sleeping with a child, they prepared the room by pushing the twin beds together—very family-friendly. I feel this is a one-of-a-kind hotel that truly values its guests. Highly recommended!!

You can enjoy Maruki Winery, one of Japan’s oldest wineries, all day long while taking in a beautiful Japanese garden. For dinner, we had a tea-ceremony kaiseki meal—one delight after another. The Room also comes with a private Onsen bath featuring 100% free-flowing natural spring water rich in sulfur. We learned how to spend time slowly and luxuriously in true bliss—an ideal adult getaway. This is truly the best Accommodation. Next time, we’ll book a Multiple Night Stay.

We stay here mainly for Arashi no Yu, and every time it’s one moving experience after another—thank you again for this visit. The table tennis & darts Room was a hidden gem, and the kids were thrilled! If I had one request, it would be to have some board games the kids can enjoy (even something like UNO) in the table tennis Room or at the front desk—then children wouldn’t get bored even during a Multiple Night Stay. In any case, thank you as always for another wonderful experience.

The free-flowing, continuously fed Onsen was wonderfully abundant, and each private bath had a calm, relaxing atmosphere. The cuisine was perfect for wine lovers, with rare wines to match. The interior design—and the lamps placed throughout—were all beautifully chosen. Right in front of the Accommodation, there is a row of cherry trees along the riverbank; I can only imagine how stunning the view must be during cherry blossom season. I won’t wait until then—I will definitely return again soon. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

Both the Room and the staff member who assisted us were wonderful, and we were able to truly relax. As I casually looked out from the Japanese-style Room at the beautiful garden, a large grey heron was resting its wings by the waterfall. It was my first time observing one from so close, and I was thrilled. The thoughtfully prepared cuisine is always delicious, and this time again every dish was deeply impressive. Staying in a detached guesthouse felt perfect just being there, but I went out to make sure not to miss the live music in the lobby—and it turned into another wonderfully romantic moment. As often as time and budget allow, I would love to return again and again to unwind. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

All staff members were courteous and attentive. The meals were thoughtfully prepared with enjoyable touches, and we could even have dessert in the lounge after dinner, which was very refreshing. The bath was a spacious unit bath, and since it can be filled with Onsen water, we were able to relax and enjoy the Onsen in our Room. We would like to stay again.

The Room allowed smoking, but it was very clean and had no smell at all. There was no noise from outside; the only sound I could hear was the refrigerator motor near the pillow, so I was able to spend my time quietly. If you go by car, the parking lot is spacious, and it is conveniently located right next to a main road. It was excellent.

I always look forward to the seasonal parfaits, and whenever a new one comes out, I can’t help but come back. This time it was the grape parfait and the Shine Muscat parfait. I went for a drive with a friend from Yamanashi, then met up with my husband at the Hotel, and I checked in from the evening. I relaxed in the Onsen and slept soundly. For breakfast, I had my usual favorite cheese omelet. It was truly delicious—I keep wondering how they make an omelet that tastes this good. And then came the grape parfait. I shared it with my husband’s Shine Muscat parfait and enjoyed both. They were beautifully presented—like works of art—and absolutely delicious. I had them last year too and never forgot them, so I was happy to have them again this year. The staff’s smiles always make me feel at ease as well. I can’t wait to see what the next parfait will be!

I planned to go to Yamanashi to buy grapes and initially looked for a Ryokan, but couldn’t find a suitable one, so we decided to stay at Dormy Inn. We had a twin Room, and since it was an upper-floor corner Room, it was slightly larger than a standard twin. Both the front desk staff and the dining staff were courteous. Breakfast also featured Yamanashi specialties and was delicious. On the morning of the second day, I went to the bath at 5:00 a.m., expecting it wouldn’t be crowded, but five older Asian women took over both the indoor bath and the open-air bath, talking loudly nonstop. They also left towels in the washing area, so I couldn’t relax. I think it would be helpful if guests could be reminded about bath etiquette in advance.

You can see the castle very close from the window! This Hotel has a wonderful atmosphere. It’s ideally located near the station. I’d love to stay here again next time.

The front desk staff were very kind and left a warm impression. There was an incredible variety of amenities—more than I’ve ever seen before. I was especially happy to find the foot fatigue relief patches and hair oil. There were also many items available to borrow for free, and I really appreciated the extension cord in the room. As others have said, breakfast was truly satisfying. The small dishes made it easy to pick up items, and there was a great variety—I ended up eating too much. The hoto noodles and curry are especially recommended. If I had to mention one thing, the bath drain seemed to clog slightly at times, but it was more than made up for by how comfortable everything else was. I would definitely like to stay here again.

I usually stay around Lake Kawaguchi when traveling, but this time I spent one night in Kofu. This is the Hotel I used to think “What a lovely exterior” when commuting during my junior high and high school days. It’s such a long-established place that just about every local knows it. The calm lobby has the dignity of over 100 years of history, and it feels wonderfully relaxing. I was also very satisfied with the spacious Room. I was impressed by how spotless everything was and how well it was maintained. The bath on a different floor is small, but full of charm and really lovely. Soaking in the cute pot bath was soothing, and it kept me warm afterward—an excellent Onsen. For dinner we had Chinese cuisine at “Ran-en,” which is also famous for its great food. It lived up to expectations. The service was attentive, and I understood why it’s so highly rated. After dinner, we stopped by the lounge bar. The young bartender’s service was sincere and thoughtful—so much so that even I, who don’t usually drink much, ended up ordering a glass. Thank you for looking up the recipe and making a cocktail that wasn’t on the menu. With acquisitions of Hotels progressing in Yamanashi these days, this is exactly the kind of Hotel I hope will keep going strong. I’ll be back again at year-end.

We visited as a family of four, meeting up at Yamanashishi Station with our eldest son who lives in Tokyo and the three of us who drove from Kansai. As we got closer to the Accommodation, the country road shown by the navigation system made us think, “Could it really be this way?” and we struggled a little. If I had to mention any negatives from this trip, it would be that—and that the washbasin sink was black, so water marks were slightly noticeable after use. Upon arrival, we were surprised by how distinct and impressive it looked compared with its surroundings. We arrived about 30 minutes earlier than planned, but we were warmly welcomed and smoothly shown inside, which left a great first impression. The moment we opened the tasteful sliding entrance door set back from the gate, we were moved by the view stretching from the pine tree in the center courtyard all the way to the kura storehouse building across it. While preserving many historical elements—such as exterior walls, tiled roof, and pillars—the interior has been renovated into a clean and refined space that feels wonderful to spend time in. In both the audio room at the back where you can listen to records and the second-floor study stocked with everything from relatively recent Japanese literature to art books and foreign titles, there were chairs and ottomans in different styles arranged throughout. We were able to forget everyday life and relax at length. These spaces became favorites for my wife and daughter, who have a strong appreciation for music and art. My eldest son and I also used the sauna in the separate kura building across the courtyard before dinner. It’s available 24 hours; he enjoyed it late at night, while I went again after breakfast the next morning. In addition to a cold plunge bath there is also a regular bathtub; together with the indoor hinoki cypress bath in main building where you can fully stretch out your legs, there are two bathing options. Dinner and breakfast were served in another kura building on opposite side , featuring thoughtfully crafted dishes using plenty of local ingredients. We thoroughly enjoyed everything—especially Koshu-style sukiyaki with beef and horse meat paired with three dipping sauces—alongside wine we picked up on our way there. After dinner we projected onto a large screen with projector held family drama viewing night for all four of us. We slept in bedroom where four beds could be lined up comfortably side by side. They even provided charging cables at each bedside equipped with three types of connectors—we were impressed by such attention to detail. Speaking of details: along with alcohol , refrigerator was stocked plenty chilled mineral water which was very helpful given season . There was also an assortment of nostalgic snacks card games insect-repellent items etc., showing both thoughtfulness playfulness. A location completely removed from noise spacious layout well-maintained Facilities lacking nothing an endlessly interesting interior blending old new perfectly—and being able enjoy all without interference as family four. It exceeded our expectations imagination. We’re glad chose this place for one those precious few times each year when whole family can gather . Thank you for your attentive hospitality .

Because our Room was on the 2nd floor, we were disappointed that we couldn’t see the koi in the pond. My wife is pregnant, and it was difficult because it was a long walk to the elevator. Not only in the garden but also around the open-air bath in the large public bath, many decorative stones were placed throughout, which made it very relaxing. I thought it was very rare to have an outdoor cold plunge bath for the sauna. Next time, we’d like to stay at the Ryokan longer and relax in the open-air bath.

The large public bath opened at 5:00 a.m., so I was able to enjoy it comfortably on my own. The entire property was very clean. Having to tap the room key to access each floor made me feel safe.

Great value for money, and everything is kept very clean. The bed is clean as well, with no odors. There were no noticeable smells in the unit bath or towels either. The bathtub and toilet aren’t especially spacious, so I’d rate it 4 stars, but there were absolutely no issues. If I had to mention one thing, I would have liked a 32-inch TV in the Room. The front desk staff are very kind. They also offer a welcome drink, which is available until midnight—excellent. I stayed here for the Fuefuki City fireworks festival; it’s about a 20-minute walk, so I plan to stay again next year.

Once again, I stayed at Dormy Inn. A Hotel with reliable Onsen and meals. I would love to stay here again if I have the chance. Thank you very much.

I always stay here when I’m in town for work. The large public bath is closed for cleaning from 1:00 to 5:00, but at other times you can use it as much as you like, which is perfect for relaxing after work or on days off. The staff are always friendly and helpful, so I can stay comfortably every time. I also personally like that you don’t need to wear shoes inside the building.
