Last time, we stayed during the winter season, so this time we came to visit in a different season. It was an amazing Hotel as always!! This time, we also tried “Mokumoku-yu,” which we didn’t have enough time to visit last time. The water temperature was just right, and while the Facility itself feels a bit old, it was very clean, so we were able to relax and enjoy our time comfortably. Since the activities vary by season, this time we joined the firefly viewing tour. The guide explained everything carefully, and we even had the very rare experience of having a firefly land on our hand. It seems to have become a wonderful memory for our children—they still bring it up sometimes even now. We’re really glad we joined! The pool also has waves at times, and there are always several lifeguards on duty, so you can feel safe bringing children. As for dining, Waiwai Grill was delicious as expected, and the shops along Piman Street had been newly updated—those were also very tasty. Our family especially loved the cheese workshop shop. The bakery that’s been there for years is consistently great as well. Thank you very much!

This was our second stay with our rescued dog. This time, there was a pool set up in the dog park, and our dog tried swimming for the first time. Surprisingly, they swam well and looked like they were having a great time. Playing in the spacious dog park always makes them look so happy, and we’re really glad we came.\nWe chose the reasonably priced Standard Cottage this time, so we expected some age, but there was a very strong dusty (moldy?) smell, which was a bit of a downside. The place was cleaned properly, but there’s only so much you can do about an older building.\nStill, our dog looked so happy that we’ll probably stay again!

We stayed here to celebrate a birthday trip. They delivered an externally ordered cake from their partner Kazeka to our Room exactly as requested, and everything—the Room, the open-air bath, the meals, and the hospitality of the staff—was truly wonderful. It was a very satisfying stay, and we would love to visit again if we have the chance. Thank you very much.

We stayed with our 5-year-old daughter to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were originally looking for an auberge around the Yatsugatake area, but there are only a limited number of Accommodations that welcome small children. This Accommodation not only allows children (they truly make them feel welcome!), and I had long been interested in aqua tourism, so we decided right away. It turned out to be the perfect choice! We were moved by the open, expansive view from the living room and impressed by the tasteful touches throughout. Soon after arriving, we walked to a nearby field for the vegetable harvesting experience our daughter had been looking forward to. Surrounded by clear air at the foot of Yatsugatake’s magnificent nature, she touched the soil and picked colorful seasonal vegetables—an incredibly fresh and valuable experience that’s hard to have in the city. Our daughter is usually very shy with strangers, but she quickly warmed up to the owners’ kind personalities. We were amazed to see her happily harvesting vegetables with the husband on her own, away from us. The meals honored the natural flavors of each ingredient, and our whole family was genuinely impressed. The husband mentioned his cooking isn’t flashy, but it was truly exceptional—food that conveyed his love for ingredients and his desire to share deliciousness with others, nourishing both body and soul. They also pay great attention to tableware, so it was a pleasure enjoying not only the food but also admiring each piece. They prepared a children’s meal plate for our daughter, but it was so delicious that she also ate from our dishes—and even had seconds at breakfast and finished everything. Before checkout on day two, we joined a herbal tea blending experience. The wife taught us gently and carefully, and our daughter enjoyed it as well. It was educational, and her calm presence made it a soothing time. At checkout, while we were busy getting ready to leave, they kindly kept our daughter company. Seeing how attached she had become truly touched us. The couple’s warm personalities and thoughtful care, wonderful food, rich surrounding nature setting,, beautiful interior details—everything was outstandingand left us feeling warm inside.. I think this is an ideal Accommodation for relaxing slowly at your own pace. Onon thhe way home,, myy daughteer murmured,, “I won’t getto see big brotherand big sister anymore? I wantto see them again.” We would lovee tto return in another season. Thank you very much for everything.

I stayed for one night with my daughter. Unfortunately, the weather was not great the next day, so things didn’t go exactly as planned, but we were able to relax and enjoy a quiet stay. The meals were also very delicious. It would have been even better if there had been handrails in the bathroom and spa baths.

We had an incredibly fulfilling stay. From the interior and exterior design to the furniture, decor, fixtures, amenities, lawn, and open grounds, this was a wonderfully comfortable Facility where you can feel the attention to detail everywhere. The interior is unified in a calm design, with very high ceilings that create an airy sense of openness, allowing us to fully enjoy a special time away from everyday life. The vanity area and bathroom were especially spacious and impressive—made with high-quality materials and kept impeccably clean down to every corner. The amenities also felt thoughtfully chosen; for example, Aesop hand soap was provided at the sink. All essential cookware and appliances were available, so we could stay comfortably without any inconvenience. We even enjoyed handheld fireworks in the garden. The views of Mt. Fuji and the Southern Alps were also stunning—scenery you could gaze at for hours without noticing time pass. Most memorable of all were the wood-fired sauna and cold plunge bath. The wood-fired sauna was exceptional—enjoying it while feeling the flicker of flames, hearing the crackle of burning logs, and breathing in the scent of wood was truly special. Unlike an electric heater, it had a gentle heat that warmed us slowly from deep within and helped us relax completely. A large amount of sauna stones were thoroughly heated, so we could also enjoy pleasant steam from löyly. It’s an ideal setup that I would highly recommend even to dedicated sauna lovers. They added ice to the cold plunge bath multiple times for us, so we could cool down properly. Paired with the wood-fired sauna, it was perfect—we fully enjoyed every session. In the evening we enjoyed a BBQ, and we really appreciated that the owner prepared everything—from lighting the fire to setting everything up. On top of that, we received a generous gift of fresh vegetables grown by his wife. They were all rare varieties you don’t often see day-to-day, and you could feel careful attention not only in each vegetable but also in their labels and packaging. We tried them right away at our BBQ—especially the eggplant, which was unbelievably tender and delicious. Beyond how wonderful both the Facility itself and its location are, we were truly moved by the owners’ thoughtful hospitality as well. In this extraordinary setting—with beautiful views, a wood-fired sauna experience like no other،and BBQ—we spent a luxurious yet deeply comfortable time here. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much for such a wonderful experience.

I had made a Reservation under the Standard Plan, but they upgraded my Room, so I was able to stay at a great value. The breakfast buffet had plenty of options and was delicious—I was very satisfied. There are lots of play areas for small children, but adults can enjoy it too. It was my first time trying pickleball, and I really enjoyed it. It’s a Hotel I’d like to stay at again.

For vacations of two days or more, I choose a vacation rental rather than a Hotel or an Onsen Ryokan. From my experience with several rentals, prices and the quality of Facility management vary widely depending on the operator. This property is well maintained with no musty smell inside, towels can be replaced if you go to the management office yourself, the price is reasonable, and the area is quiet—I'd happily stay here again.

Thanks to the courteous service and the staff’s warm hospitality and flexible support, we had a memorable stay. The Onsen was also wonderful, and the atmospheric open-air bath was especially relaxing. If we have a chance to visit the area again, we would love to stay here again.

It was almost ¥20,000 even with No Meals Included during Silver Week, but we were grateful because it’s hard to find a place that can accommodate 7 people plus a pet. The location is very convenient near the station: the roadside station (Michi-no-Eki), RISONARE, and a convenience store are just a few minutes’ walk away; a local supermarket is about 10 minutes by car; and there’s also a burger shop right in front. The Facility was very clean, but the equipment had some issues. When we tried to use two hot plates for dinner, neither of them heated up. After contacting staff, we waited about 30 minutes before they were replaced. Also, we couldn’t use the oven function on the microwave oven to bake pizza, and since there was no toaster for bread the next morning either, we could only warm it using the fish grill. The appliances look stylish, but they weren’t very user-friendly. The washer-dryer was extremely helpful. There are four double beds, but if you have older children, three single beds plus two futon sets might be better. If I had to say one thing, for large groups it would be more helpful to have two sinks rather than an extra shower room. Our dog seemed to enjoy it as there is also a dog run overall we were satisfied. We’d like to stay again during a cheaper season.

We had a wonderful time. When we contacted you to say we would be about an hour late due to road conditions, you responded kindly and pleasantly. The meals were delicious as well—the Japanese-Chinese cuisine was great. Perhaps because the Room and the toilet were close, we noticed the sound of flushing water and the air conditioner airflow at night. The bath was also excellent.

We were soothed by the greenery visible through the large windows and enjoyed a relaxing, luxurious stay. The weather was great, and it was wonderful to have tea and breakfast outside while listening to birdsong. We were also deeply moved by an unexpected surprise—a herd of deer came to graze nearby. We would love to visit again.

This accommodation is highly recommended for a multiple night stay. One night is simply not enough. There are plenty of experiences to enjoy, such as cooking in a fully equipped kitchen, gathering herbs on the property, watching movies with a projector, reading books available in the room, grinding and brewing your own coffee beans, and sitting by the campfire. During this visit, I stayed for one night and felt reluctant to leave. I promised my friends that we would definitely come back again. The open space with high ceilings and large windows was incredibly pleasant. Next time, I plan to stay longer to enjoy drawing, knitting, reading books, relaxing in the sauna, or taking walks. This is the perfect place to escape from the busyness of city life and take time to reconnect with yourself—highly recommended!

Just as everyone wrote in their Reviews, everything—from the surroundings and the building to the furniture and amenities—was high quality and comfortable, and we were able to fully enjoy a Scandinavian-style getaway. Coffee on the terrace while listening to the birds singing was amazing! The only disappointment was that there were no wine glasses!! They’re an essential item for our meals, so we would really appreciate it if you could provide them. Thank you in advance.

We stayed here as a family of four—my husband, my mother, my son, and me. There is a supermarket called Himawari Market nearby, as well as a bakery called TRIFFLE, so we had no trouble at all even without meals included at the Accommodation. The bed sheets were soft and comfortable, and we really enjoyed staying in this log cabin with its clean wooden scent! Thank you very much. We would love to stay again!

I’ve always loved Shichiken sake, and over the past 10 years I’ve visited the brewery several times. Since it opened, I’d been curious about esoto, so I finally stayed here! It was a wonderfully comfortable stay where I could relax and truly feel the character of Hokuto. What left the strongest impression was the dining, as well as the sweets and drinks prepared in the guest room. The ingredients and beverages—carefully selected mainly from Daigahara and Hokuto—let me enjoy a refined time while appreciating the blessings of the land. ●Guest Room & Amenities The calm space allowed me to unwind at my own pace. Inspired by a historic residence on the brewery grounds, everything—from the three-room layout to the garden—was beautifully arranged. Although it was rainy, there was a lovely atmosphere looking out onto the garden through the window. ●Hospitality & Service They kept a comfortable distance without being intrusive, which made it easy to relax at my own pace. They also handled everything with great care—from Shuttle Service and guidance around nearby spots (including that historic residence) to perfect timing for meals. ●Onsen / Bath The bath inside an earthen storehouse had an exceptionally refined design. There were even ice pops and sparkling sake “Yama no Kasumi,” but after dinner I was too full (and had enjoyed plenty of sake), so I didn’t get to try them. ●Dining The most memorable part of this stay was definitely the food. Local ingredients were used with great care, and every dish was delicious. The venison in particular had almost no gamey flavor—easily among the best venison I’ve ever had—yet still delivered deep umami. Not only that, but each Shichiken sake pairing we enjoyed was outstanding…! Being able to properly savor cuisine unique to this area while tasting local ingredients and sake felt like something special to this Accommodation. I would highly recommend it even for those who choose an Accommodation with dining as one of their main purposes. In the morning, I woke up to local voices chatting outside—it felt like experiencing everyday life within Daigahara-shuku. When I want to immerse myself in nature along with regional food and sake for a true refresh, I’d love to return again.

I stayed for two nights in a cabin with a sauna in mid-April. Although it was closer to town than I expected, the location truly let me experience the “Live with nature” concept. Since I usually live near the sea, being surrounded by mountains felt refreshing. The air was so clear, and I had a wonderfully comfortable stay. The Room—its floors and furniture—was mostly made of wood, creating a soothing space that felt great on bare skin and made me want to spend the whole day there without even going outside. I also enjoyed both the sauna and the campfire at a relaxed pace. At the same time, if you drive out, there are plenty of charming cafes and restaurants nearby, making it perfect for a food-focused trip as well. The email sent before check-in included detailed information about the base’s Facility and amenities, as well as tips about the surrounding area, which helped me plan my trip. Even without staff on-site, I felt warm hospitality. One delightful surprise was being greeted by monkeys when I stepped outside in the morning—it made nature feel even closer. If you want to enjoy both slow time here and sightseeing around the area, I strongly recommend staying at least two nights! Next time, I’d love to stay at another SANU location too.

On my way back from a Utsukushigahara touring trip, the extreme heat made me lose confidence about riding all the way back to Tokyo, so I asked to stay overnight. Even though it was a last-minute Reservation, the owner welcomed me with a smile and kindly told me about nearby shops and other helpful information. The Facility isn’t new, but the Room was quiet and relaxing, and I was able to rest well and fully recover from the ride. I also appreciated having a shared microwave. If I have the chance, I’d love to stay here again.

December is a busy season. Also, being sensitive to the cold, I tend to hesitate to go outside. However, I decided to thoroughly search travel sites. Words like wood stove, sauna, and bonfire caught my eye, and I chose 2gether foret! I was surprised when I arrived! There was a style that exceeded my imagination and suited my taste. Luxurious time spent in the Room. It was my first experience with a wood stove, but it warmed me from the core, and even someone like me who is sensitive to the cold was very satisfied. In the sauna, I enjoyed the experience of relaxing on the deck while gazing at the trees outside... it was pleasant. I was impressed by how wonderful winter activities could feel. Next, I want to experience how to spend time in extreme cold... (laughs) Thank you very much. I will visit again.

Four local friends and I stayed here for a trip, and it was an amazing stay. The Facilities are exceptionally well equipped—there’s a private sauna, a pool, and an evening fire pit—so you can enjoy a truly luxurious time without even leaving the property. I’m actually not usually a sauna person, but this sauna somehow didn’t feel stifling at all and was very comfortable. Because it’s completely private, I could relax and chat freely with my friends, and before I knew it I’d gone back in again and again—it was that cozy. For dinner, we borrowed the BBQ grill and enjoyed cooking together. There are also great spots nearby such as a whisky museum and places where you can try fishing ponds, so we were able to fully enjoy the entire stay including sightseeing. It was a big hit with my friends as well. Thank you for such a wonderful time!
