This was my second visit this year, and it’s soothing no matter when I come. The service strikes just the right balance of attentiveness and privacy, the rooms are spacious, and the meals keep evolving—overall, it’s a place with an exceptionally high level of satisfaction. 　This time in particular, the breakfast—renewed since this spring—was outstanding. In contrast to the gorgeous French dinner, it’s a simple Japanese-style meal, but each dish is truly delicious. They’ve also changed how they cook the rice, and the finishing bowl topped with dashi was superb. 　I’m already looking forward to being impressed again on my next visit.

Thank you again for taking such good care of us. The meals are delicious, but above all, from the warm welcome to the send-off, every member of staff is truly wonderful, and no matter when we visit, we always feel at ease. We would love to come again during the autumn foliage season later this year—this is an essential place to stay for anyone traveling with a dog.

We had seen a Review saying the pool temperature was low, and since it was a chilly day we were worried, but it was comfortably warm. The first-floor flooring is also not slippery, so I think it’s dog-friendly. If possible, it would have been even better if the second-floor flooring were made of similarly non-slip materials. The quality of the free-flowing Onsen water was great as well, and it was a wonderful Accommodation that makes not only dogs but also people want to come back.

We stayed here during my 7th month of pregnancy for a maternity trip. It was our first time staying in Gora, and while choosing among the many Accommodations, we decided based on the availability of an in-room open-air bath, Reviews of the food, and the high level of service—and it was absolutely the right choice. Every dish was delicious, and from check-in to check-out we had a truly comfortable experience. It was our last trip as a couple before welcoming our baby, and it became a very memorable journey. My husband also said that although he has stayed at many Accommodations before, this one left a particularly strong impression and he was very satisfied. We would definitely like to stay again.

This Accommodation has become more upscale in recent years and is now a bit of a splurge for me, so I visited this time to take advantage of a great deal. As always, the Onsen was wonderful, the meals were delicious, and the Room was spacious and very comfortable. I was also happy that you remembered my various requests from previous stays. Thank you to all the staff for your hospitality again—I’d love to visit again when I find another opportunity.

I stayed with my elderly mother, my niece who had returned from abroad, and my daughter. They were very kind and attentive to foreign guests, and they accommodated our food requests exactly as asked. We are truly grateful. Unfortunately, it rained heavily both days so we couldn’t do much sightseeing, but Hakone Shrine was within walking distance for a stroll. The next day the roads were closed and it was quite difficult, but the staff informed us early in the morning, which helped a lot and became a good memory for my nieces as well. I would definitely like to visit again.

The room was clean, spacious, and very relaxing. The food was delicious, and the buffet offered a wide variety of dishes. The Japanese breakfast was just the right portion and perfect. The staff were all wonderful, and their smiles made a great impression. The property was also spacious, and we could play table tennis, which made my daughter very happy. I would love to stay here again.

[Room] The staff member in charge of our room was the same person who looked after us so well last time, and we truly appreciated the thoughtful, attentive hospitality. Because I have trouble with my legs and found the floor chair in the room inconvenient, I asked whether a regular chair could be provided next time, and they listened carefully and sincerely to my request. [Meals] Once again, the explanations of each dish were very easy to understand. As each course arrived, everything was a delight for both the eyes and the palate—enjoyable and impressive throughout. Both breakfast and dinner conveyed how wholeheartedly the chefs strive to create their best dishes in harmony with the seasons. With details such as information about ingredients’ origins and small hands-on touches like grilling or grating at the table, every meal had variety and a wonderful sense of rhythm that never became monotonous. [A moment in the lobby] While waiting for our meal, we enjoyed tea in the lobby and had a pleasant conversation with a staff member from France who spoke fluent Japanese. We could also feel how brightly motivated—and seriously dedicated—the younger staff members were as they worked. There were many things we learned from everyone on staff. [Hot spring] We were extremely satisfied with both the view and tranquility of the private bath in our room. Soaking at leisure while watching scenery change over time truly feels luxurious. While bathing, I was able to rediscover not only nature’s beauty but also how precious time is—and even learn something new about myself. [Byakudan] Byakudan is a place where its people, cuisine, hot springs, and atmosphere gently welcome every guest. Next time, we hope to visit again in spring. I’d also like to try an esthetic treatment for the first time—so until then, I’ll do my best at work!

Being welcomed back with “Welcome home” always puts me at ease from the moment I arrive at the front desk. It was very crowded during the Silver Week holidays, but even so, the staff’s warm hospitality—such as wiping my rain-soaked suitcase with a spotless white towel—meant so much to me. The bath was just right, and as always, the meals were delicious and beautifully presented. Whether it was the food or the wine, I truly enjoyed a deeply satisfying time. I have an intense workload ahead through next year, but when I’m worn out again, I’d love to come back for some relaxation.

I gifted my mother a stay here for her 75th birthday. She’s a real foodie who’s always trying restaurants, and she came home excited, saying, “The restaurant was simply amazing!” and “Dinner was especially outstanding!” They even celebrated with a dessert plate, and I’m truly grateful to all the staff. She also thoroughly enjoyed the snacks placed around the property and the great variety of books—making it the perfect celebration. This isn’t the kind of place that serves flashy dishes or relies on lavish luxury ingredients, so I hesitated a bit about giving it to my elderly mother—but it turned out to be exactly right for her! She said, “I was tired of the typical meals you find everywhere, so this was really wonderful,” “I hope more people learn how special it is,” and “It makes total sense that there are many international guests. It’s a truly rare restaurant where you can genuinely experience Japanese culture.” Looks like my choice as her daughter was spot on (lol). *On the other hand, if it’s not your style, it really won’t be—so please keep that in mind if you’re giving this as a gift!!!

We stayed for one night to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The room atmosphere and the private hot spring in the room were wonderful, making it a truly memorable stay. The meals were delicious, and we could feel the attention to detail in the presentation and tableware as well. Thank you for your thoughtful consideration for my wife’s birthday. The female attendant assigned to our room was very pleasant, and her explanations of the dishes, timing, and service were perfect. My wife was very happy and it became a wonderful birthday memory. We would love to visit again.

From the warm welcome on arrival to the heartfelt send-off at departure, it felt like a dream. The service was exceptionally attentive, and the food was truly delicious—we were completely satisfied. The hot spring was wonderful; we enjoyed a relaxing soak at night under the stars and in the morning while basking in the sunrise. We will definitely stay again. Thank you very much.

I had a wonderfully comfortable and relaxing stay. Every staff member had a lovely smile, and their service felt truly professional and well trained. There were many international staff as well, but everyone was excellent and spoke Japanese very well. The meals were all delicious and beautifully presented, with perfect tableware and plating. This is an inn that makes you want to return, and I would gladly recommend it to my friends. Since there are Fufu properties across Japan, it might be fun to visit different locations for comparison. We chose the Anniversary Plan as it coincided with my husband’s five-year service refresh leave and the month of our wedding anniversary. On this Hakone trip, we used the free pass and hadn’t realized the hotel was on higher ground, so we quickly arranged a taxi to get there. After the hassle of getting there, I briefly wondered if we’d chosen the wrong place—but that concern disappeared as soon as we arrived. From the large lobby windows, we had a clear view of Lake Ashi, and it was immediately obvious this is a hotel with an outstanding view—scenery you can only get from an elevated location. Our room’s balcony also faced Lake Ashi and had a comfortable table set and an open-air bath. There was a Nespresso machine in the room, so we made coffee right away and enjoyed it on the balcony with the complimentary fruit while relaxing together and taking in the lake view. There were two types of coffee. I appreciated that one was decaf—perfect for evening so caffeine wouldn’t affect sleep—while in the morning there was a richer option to help you wake up. It felt very thoughtful. The bathing setup was also excellent: there was an indoor shower room, so we didn’t have to worry about getting cold while washing up, and then we could simply enjoy soaking in the open-air bath out on the scenic balcony. The hot spring water felt wonderful; I soaked many times and my skin felt silky smooth. Every dish was carefully prepared and delicious, but especially memorable was the meat: thick yet incredibly tender, with enough fat to be flavorful while still tasting light. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever had meat that good before. The tableware was also beautifully chosen throughout, making each course visually enjoyable as well. The staff were all polite and attentive. One newer staff member seemed possibly mixed heritage; her explanations were sometimes a little hard to catch, but her sincere effort came through clearly and left a great impression. Although we only told them about our anniversary on check-in day, they not only prepared a celebratory message plate but also took photos for us at short notice and presented them to us at breakfast the next morning—it became a wonderful keepsake. The next morning, lake fog covered all of Lake Ashi’s surface, creating an incredibly beautiful, dreamlike scene. We made coffee again in our room and enjoyed it together on the balcony—it truly felt like a luxurious time.

The Okinawa Fair and the tuna carving show were amazing! This was our second visit during summer vacation, and it was so delicious that we’d love for you to hold it again next year. The open-air bath in the Room was also very comfortable, and no matter how many times we visit in a year, we never get tired of it. The warm smiles and attentive hospitality from the proprietress and all the staff are so comforting and relaxing that every time we come, we find ourselves wanting to return again soon. We’ll be back before the end of the year—thank you very much.

It was a calm, quiet hotel less than 10 minutes by shuttle bus from Gora Station. The meals were excellent. The free-flow drinks from 3:00 pm can also be enjoyed on the terrace. The view in the rain was lovely as well. The staff were very kind. The hot springs were great, but the step down into the indoor bath was deeper than expected, so I thought it would be helpful to have a notice posted somewhere. The milky-white hot spring water was wonderful, and the outdoor open-air bath was also very nice.

I had always thought that if I were to stay in Hakone, it would be at Suishoen, and my wish finally came true—I was able to visit at last! It was exactly the Accommodation I had imagined, and I could truly feel the high quality in every aspect, making for a very fulfilling stay. I was especially looking forward to the meals—not only were they delicious, but they were also a feast for the eyes. Both dinner and breakfast were wonderful. That said, the corn rice at dinner felt a bit overdone; I think simple corn would have been enough. The Room was more spacious than I expected and very relaxing, and I thoroughly enjoyed the bath with a footbath feature. Above all, the staff’s thoughtful hospitality was outstanding—this was an Accommodation where I felt truly comfortable.

This was my first trip to Hakone, and I stayed at this Hotel. The phone support and the front desk service were both very pleasant. For dinner, we chose the French cuisine; the portions were just right, and everything—from the dishes to the dessert—was delicious. For breakfast, we had a Japanese meal, and the dishes made with plenty of local ingredients made for a wonderful start to the day. On our way back, it was raining and I was traveling with my elderly mother, so I waited in the lobby until the last minute for our mountain bus—and ended up missing it. The staff noticed we were in trouble right away and suggested several alternative options, which allowed us to catch our flight home safely. Thanks to your outstanding hospitality in every respect, we had a truly enjoyable trip. The only disappointment this time was the weather, but I would love to come back and try again. I will also recommend this Hotel to my friends. Thank you very much.

This time, we visited Lake Kawaguchi and Hakone for the first time, looking forward to seeing Mt. Fuji as part of my wife’s birthday trip. Although it was too cloudy to see the Mt. Fuji we had hoped for, we stayed at Setsugetsuka Bettei Suiun in Hakone and were able to fully enjoy the area. Our Room was a Standard Fourth, and it was very practical and well maintained with thorough cleaning, so we had a comfortable stay. The Onsen was at just the right temperature for me and left me feeling refreshed from the core, and it was also great to be able to use L’OCCITANE shampoo. For dinner, being able to choose the main dish and rice during the meal felt like a thoughtful service that let us decide based on our appetite. Breakfast offered such an abundant variety that we were so full we couldn’t even eat lunch afterward. The after-bath lounge area, along with complimentary drinks and snacks on each floor, was also a welcome service whenever we felt a little hungry. The staff’s hospitality was polite and easy to understand, which left a strong impression on us as well. After checkout we went to Gora Park, and at that time a parking staff member kindly advised us that taking the mountain railway one stop would allow us to walk downhill from top to bottom more easily—very helpful advice for an older couple like us. We hope to come back soon for our “I want to see Mt. Fuji with my own eyes!” revenge trip, and when we do, we would love to stay with you again.

We visited with our 3-month-old baby. As it was our first trip with a child, we were anxious at first, but thanks to the warm hospitality and flexible support, we were able to relax and enjoy our stay. We had made a Reservation for a dinner course at the restaurant, and I was worried that if our baby cried it might disturb other guests. The staff continued to reassure me with thoughtful words, and I was especially impressed by how quickly they arranged to change the latter part of the meal to room service. I’m truly grateful to the kind female staff member who took care of us at dinner! Because of this heartfelt service, we decided to make our next Reservation with a Hyatt property as well.
