I was very happy to be able to reserve the teppanyaki I’d been wanting to try for so long. However, I ended up completely full… a luxurious problem of not being able to enjoy every last bite. That’s part of the charm of a high-end hot spring stay. Breakfast was also plentiful, and I was stuffed!! Thanks to how much we ate here, we couldn’t even eat lunch (lol). We also received cheesecake and ice cream as an Ikkyu Diamond benefit, but we couldn’t finish those either (lol). Eat and soak in the hot springs, soak in the hot springs and eat… The weather was great, and it was a truly satisfying trip. I’d love to visit again for my birthday next year.

I stayed here at the end of my trip to Hokkaido. The places I stayed before were wonderful as well, but this Tokachigawa Onsen Daiichi Hotel was outstanding. Every dish at the buffet was delicious. I wanted to try more, but I got full and couldn’t eat everything, which I still regret a little. The kamameshi rice was especially good, and the meat was excellent too—in fact, everything I tried tasted great. When I went to the Onsen early in the morning (just after 5 a.m.), I saw staff baking bread. I had some at breakfast, and it was also very tasty. The moor Onsen had a gentle natural scent and a wonderfully silky feel on the skin; one night wasn’t enough. This time I couldn’t take my time sightseeing around Tokachi, so I would love to come back again next year. More than anything, what left me with such a great impression of the Hotel was an employee at the souvenir shop “Tamatebako.” The trainee wearing a training name badge had an amazing smile and provided excellent service. When I told them how pleasant they were, they responded with another lovely smile. Of course it comes down to personal qualities as well, but it also made me feel that the Hotel’s management philosophy must be excellent for staff like this to grow here. All of the other staff were wonderful too, and it reminded me that not only the Onsen and food but also people’s hospitality is what truly shapes a trip. Thank you for helping me make such great memories—I would like to stay again next year as well.

This was my first stay, and having the parking garage underground was reassuring even in the rain. The front desk staff were kind and courteous, and their explanations were clear and pleasant. I also ordered a meal via room service, and it was very delicious. I would like to stay here again when I visit Obihiro.

All the staff were kind and helpful. The Room was a stylish and very clean Japanese-Western room. The meals, especially dinner, were delicious. The bath was a pleasant Moor Onsen that left my skin smooth and relieved my fatigue. It was excellent. I’d love to visit again.

Tokachi Gardens Hotel’s biggest appeal was that, despite its extremely convenient location right in front of Obihiro Station, it offers a large public bath with moor hot spring water. The rooms are not as sleek and modern as the newest hotels; instead, they have a slightly nostalgic city-hotel feel. However, they are well equipped with everything you need, and I was able to relax comfortably. Bath towels and face towels are provided in the public bath area, so it’s convenient to use it with almost nothing to carry from your room. Hair liquid, hair tonic, and aftershave lotion were available, but I did not see basic skincare items such as toner or emulsion/lotion, so if you need them it’s best to bring your own. There is also a coin laundry: in addition to drum-type washer-dryers, there were two sets of separate washers and dryers on the men’s bath side. The PIN-code system made me feel secure since it helps prevent others from opening the machines mid-cycle. Breakfast was also delicious—pork rice bowls (butadon), Totteppo yogurt, Hokkaido-grown rice, local eggs, and more—offering a taste of Tokachi even though it’s an in-front-of-the-station hotel. Those looking for Hokkaido’s great outdoors or the Tokachi Plain atmosphere as part of the hotel stay itself may find it a bit lacking; however, for JR travelers, business trips, or anyone with early-morning plans the next day, this is an extremely practical choice. Being able to enjoy moor hot springs right by Obihiro Station is a major advantage. Overall, rather than a resort-style sightseeing hotel, it felt like a highly practical station-front hotel where you can still get a small taste of Tokachi. Considering the price and location, I was very satisfied with my stay.

The Room is new, spacious, and clean. I had a very comfortable stay. The welcome drink included beer, which was delicious. I would like to stay here again next time.

This place came highly recommended by locals, so we chose it for the final stop of our trip. The room was amazing—one night wasn’t enough, and I’d love to stay again in the season when they light the fireplace-style stove. The wonderful service was truly soothing as well. I also caused some trouble at the front desk due to my own misunderstanding, but they handled it with great sincerity, and I’m deeply grateful. As for dining, after a long journey my stomach was a bit tired, and since we had lunch around 3:00 p.m. on the day of check-in, I was disappointed that we couldn’t fully enjoy the restaurant as I’d hoped. However, I learned that we could also use it as a bar, so we were able to relax with wine and snacks at our own pace. Needless to say, breakfast was delicious. I don’t like carrying lots of luggage, so I usually choose hotels with coin laundry—and this one has it too—so next time I’ll stay for multiple nights.

The Room is clean, and the bath, sink, and toilet are all new and sparkling. The complimentary breakfast is good. If you prefer bread rather than rice, you may wish there were more bread options. The water tastes great.\nHowever, it’s a bit small.\nAlso, when you flush the toilet, the water pressure is so strong that it splashes.

Since there were no vacancies at other facilities, I made a Reservation. I wasn’t expecting much because it wasn’t a high-priced property, but the meals and the view from the restaurant were wonderful. However, the coffee machine used powdered milk and it tasted terrible. I’d like to visit again if I have the chance.

All the staff I interacted with (front desk, restaurant, and gift shop) had a great atmosphere—and their service was excellent as well. The food was delicious, and the all-you-can-drink plan included Sapporo beer. The Onsen was a comfortable size, and thanks to renovations a few years ago, the Room didn’t feel outdated at all. If I have the chance, I’d love to come again and stay here again.

The large public bath and complimentary late-night soba are always a highlight. We were very satisfied! We’ve made another reservation, and we look forward to staying with you again.

The hotel is in a very convenient location, close to the station as well as major shopping and dining areas. On-site parking is limited, but there is an affiliated parking lot nearby at a reasonable rate. The staff are very kind and attentive. The natural hot spring was excellent—truly worthy of Obihiro’s reputation for beautiful baths—and I felt completely refreshed afterward. Some of the facilities feel a bit dated, but they appear to have been renovated. The room was spacious enough, and overall comfort was outstanding.

Return Visit Stayed for two nights a few years ago and was amazed by how incredible the Moor Onsen was. They even had our past stay history on record, which really showed their professionalism. At the time, we were a bit bothered by some odors in the Room and Onsen, so we “cheated” for a while with a newer Accommodation nearby (laugh). This time, we made a Reservation for a newly renovated Room. Bottom line: it was excellent! I’m not really into saunas, but I enjoyed it because you can adjust the temperature in various ways and even listen to music. There were plenty of towels, and bathrobes were provided as well. The only downside was that the open-air bath was slightly too hot. The food was delicious, and the service was flawless. If they renovate more guest rooms, we will definitely stay again.

The necessary amenities were prepared in the room, which was reassuring. The location, twin room, service, Onsen, and breakfast were all comfortable at this Hotel. During our 4-night trip to Eastern Hokkaido, this was the most comfortable stay.

This was our last night’s stay on our trip to eastern Hokkaido, and even though it’s a Business Hotel, it has an Onsen, which we were able to enjoy at a relaxed pace despite its small size. It’s right in front of the station, with many restaurants nearby, and we found a great izakaya while taking a walk. Breakfast was also delicious, and I think we stayed at a reasonable price. Thank you very much.

Although the hotel seemed fully booked during Golden Week, the service was attentive and well organized. There were numbered tickets for breakfast, but people appeared to come in regardless, so they didn’t seem to serve any purpose, which was a bit disappointing.

I rented a car and tried to park, but the nearby parking lots were full. They helped me find another nearby lot, and I was able to park.

Located just a short walk from Obihiro Station Bus Terminal, the access is excellent. The front staff were kind and welcoming, always greeting guests with phrases like "Have a nice day" as they passed by. Complimentary onsen bath salts were provided, allowing for a relaxing soak. The room was thoroughly cleaned and very tidy. Thanks to booking several months in advance, I was able to stay at a very reasonable price. One downside was that my room was right next to the elevator, so I could constantly hear the sound of it moving up and down through the walls (it sounded like a dryer). However, I still managed to sleep well due to being tired—the bed and pillows were comfortable. Requesting a room farther from the elevator in advance might have avoided this issue. On the other hand, breakfast options were plentiful and delicious, including meat dishes, steamed vegetables, and omelets. Adding more variety in bread (such as sweet Danish pastries) or desserts (like sweet potato treats unique to Obihiro) would enhance satisfaction even further. Overall, this is an excellent Hotel with high satisfaction levels—I would definitely choose it again for my next stay in Obihiro!

Ever since I found this Hotel, I haven’t stayed at any other Hotel in Obihiro. It’s a little away from downtown, so it’s quiet, but you can still walk into town, so there’s nothing to complain about. The Room feels a bit dated, but I have no complaints at all. The bathroom is spacious, and you can relax in a roomy bathtub. I’ll definitely stay here again.
