This was my third stay, and every time I’m amazed by the thoughtful attention shown to guests. Even though I was traveling solo and only had breakfast included, I was treated so warmly, which I truly appreciate. As soon as I parked, a staff member came right out and carried my luggage for me. I even had a laptop with me, so it was quite heavy, but they carried it cheerfully and with great care. A staff member I’d spoken with before remembered my name and kindly took the time to greet me even while busy cleaning—it made me very happy. Last time, when Kanaru suddenly wandered off, they gently reassured me by saying, “It’s because a staff member who gives him treats just walked by,” which really warmed my heart. This time I got to pet him a lot, and I was also glad to hear more stories about Kanaru. Even late at night when heading toward the parking lot, there were staff members at the front desk and near the entrance/exit area, which made me feel safe. At breakfast as well, the pleasant greetings and guidance put me in a great mood, and having someone serve rice and miso soup made me feel at ease—I didn’t have to worry about spilling anything. I also overheard them telling another guest, “A window seat has opened up—would you like to move over?” and it really showed how much they want guests to be happy. (I understand this depends on timing and available seating.) At checkout too, they carried my heavy luggage all the way to my car—I was impressed until the very end. There were countless other thoughtful touches and support that I can’t possibly list them all. The more I visit, the more comfortable it feels here. Among Accommodations with high Reviews online there are some where you wonder why—but this place is the opposite. I honestly think 5.00 would be fair; in reality it exceeds its Reviews! As soon as I got home, I already wanted to come back again.

Although this Accommodation is located along a major road, once you step onto the grounds you won’t notice it at all, and there is a lovely garden. A stroll is highly recommended. Various services, including the lounge, are thoughtfully arranged, and we really enjoyed our time inside the Accommodation. All staff were kind and pleasant; the meals were delicious; and not only the in-room open-air bath but also the large public bath was excellent. There were quite a few guests from Europe/Western countries and Asia as well, but everyone spent their time quietly. This Accommodation far exceeded our expectations.

This is a highly recommended glamping Accommodation. Many of the staff are young, and everyone provides outstanding hospitality. They also replied quickly to questions we sent by message before our stay, which made us feel reassured from the start. We visited in mid-July, and since the weather wasn’t great, the temperature didn’t get too high and we stayed comfortable. (On sunny, hot days, it may get a bit warm inside the tent. There is air conditioning, but it’s not very powerful.) Basically, everything you need is provided. (Coleman BBQ grill, charcoal, fire starters, tongs, fan, etc.) This time we stayed on a Plan that included dinner with late check-in. The meal came with beef, chicken, pork, and even game meat—honestly more than enough for a family of four with a teenage boy who eats a lot. Since we had a Multiple Night Stay (2 nights), they were flexible in helping us store what we couldn’t finish and even switching the next day’s meat to seafood as needed, which was wonderful. Both my spouse and I enjoy alcohol, so we really enjoyed the all-you-can-drink option. The selection was so good it almost felt unfair for an unlimited plan—and we were able to fully savor drinks unique to Hokkaido as well. They also had soft drinks like Hokkaido apple juice and milk (and it was delicious), which our teenage son definitely appreciated. There’s also a toaster so you can warm up bread you buy yourself, and coffee is available both hot and iced—truly attentive service throughout. You do need to leave the tent to use the bath and toilets, but neither felt crowded at all; everyone seemed considerate and kept things clean. It can feel slightly scary if you need to go to the toilet in the middle of the night (haha), but there are lights everywhere so it still feels safe. There is also a private sauna available for an additional fee; being able to relax there as a family of four may have been our best memory from this trip. Spending quiet time together while listening to the river was truly blissful. This is an Accommodation I’d love to stay at again if I have another chance—thank you very much!

The Room was much more spacious than I expected, and the amenities were well stocked. The morning coffee service and easy microwave snacks were also great. The only thing I noticed—just a minor detail—was that when you enter and open the door, the entry step area extends to the right, which made it hard to take off shoes and close the door (my shoes could get caught in the door). If that space extended a bit more to the left instead of the right, it might be easier to come and go, so I rated the Facility 4. That said, everything was very comfortable, starting with the front desk staff’s service. The Room was truly spacious with a sofa and very clean. Going out into Otaru and returning to the Accommodation also felt easier and more casual than at a typical large Hotel. If I have another chance, I would definitely like to stay again.

There are convenience stores and restaurants nearby, and it’s close to the station—an excellent location.\nWe used it as our Accommodation for a summer sports tournament, so we were disappointed that the Room didn’t have a freezer compartment, which is why we rated it 4 stars.\nOther than that, everything was more than satisfactory.\nWe will definitely stay again.

Everything—the views, the Room, the baths, the meals, and the hospitality—was outstanding. My whole family kept saying again and again that we had never stayed at such a wonderful Ryokan. First of all, the baths! The view of Otaru spread out below from the open-air bath was breathtaking. (We also really appreciated that the amenities were from a well-known cosmetics brand and that towels were always available.) Inside the Ryokan, there were furnishings that evoked the former prosperity of the Herring Mansion, making it an irresistible place for history lovers. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and I especially can’t forget the potato with butter sauce—a long-loved specialty of this Ryokan. It was such an incredible time that I almost didn’t want to recommend it to others. I definitely want to come back again next time.

It was convenient to take the JR train from New Chitose Airport to Otaru, and from the station you can walk there through the covered arcade. The canal is also within easy walking distance, and the former Bank of Japan Otaru Branch is nearby as well—great location. The Room was simple, and amenities such as hair ties were provided in the Room. However, the vanity area in the Room had a slight musty smell. The soup curry at breakfast was excellent. You can make your own Eggs Benedict, which our child really enjoyed. The vegetable salad was fresh, and the fruit—especially blueberries and plums—was very tasty. Since it was during summer vacation, there was a line for breakfast, so it’s best to go as early as possible. The night parfait on the 11th floor had a great atmosphere and looked adorable—we loved it—but it wasn’t clear whether certain time slots or a Reservation were required. It seems to be only for one hour starting at 8:00 PM, and making a Reservation is recommended.

This Hotel was recommended to me by ChatGPT, which understands my preferences and personality, and I was extremely satisfied with the result. Not only were the building and interior design wonderful and stylish, but the staff were also very kind and pleasant. Breakfast was served in such a beautiful space that it took my breath away, and everything was delicious—especially the scones, which were outstanding. As this trip was for my husband’s birthday, we used the anniversary Plan. They prepared non-alcoholic champagne and a very tasty cake, making it a lovely surprise. Neither of us drinks alcohol, but if we had more time, we would have liked to visit the bar as well. Perhaps because it was a weekday in May, there were many foreign visitors both in town and among the guests. Since it rained, being able to borrow the coin laundry facilities and a shoe dryer was incredibly helpful. If I had to mention one thing, it would be helpful if there were guidance on how many minutes are needed for roughly how much laundry. (At 100 yen for 25 minutes, I suspect even one T-shirt might not fully dry...) I initially thought the price was per person but then realized it covered two people as well—which surprised me even more. There’s nowhere else where you can get this level of quality and satisfaction at this price! Thank you for such a wonderful day.

Only the representative needed to register in advance, but signatures from all guests were required at check-in, and the tablet interface was a bit hard to understand. The Hotel was very clean, and we had a comfortable stay.

A Hotel perched on a sheer cliff. I was a little anxious until I arrived. Considering the rain, wind, and snow in that setting, maintaining the building’s exterior must be very costly, yet the rates are reasonable. The Room furnishings may be old, but they are high quality and well maintained, making it very comfortable. Because of the cliffside location, the view from the Room is outstanding. The in-room bath is spacious and also offers an amazing view. Best of all, you can fully open the sliding window for a wonderful sense of openness—even watching seagulls dive right in front of you. In addition, both dinner and breakfast were excellent French cuisine, and the staff service was attentive; everything left me completely satisfied. Dining while watching the sunset was a special, unforgettable experience. I also think it’s a great system that you can choose souvenirs via the TV’s online service—it lets you take your time deciding during your stay. I could really feel what this Hotel values in its hospitality, and it made for an extremely satisfying trip. In an age when “good” often simply comes with paying more, I was truly delighted with this level of hospitality at this price!

I had reserved a triple room, but one of my companions wasn’t feeling well, and you kindly changed it to a twin and a single. I truly appreciated your support. What’s more, the rate stayed the same—I couldn’t believe it. Thank you very much. I also enjoyed the bath both at night and in the morning. Breakfast was delicious and therefore crowded, but we could check our place in line online, so it wasn’t any hassle. In Otaru, Dormy Inn is the best choice.

Although I was told it was a bit far from Otaru Station with some elevation changes, it was an easy walk. I enjoyed strolling around the town of Otaru along the way. Breakfast was excellent and very delicious. The Room was also spacious, and I could truly relax. All the staff were very kind, and I had a wonderful stay. Thank you very much. I would love to stay here again when I visit Otaru.

I stayed in a Superior Twin on the 9th floor. From the window, you can see the sea of Otaru, and the sunrise rising from there is truly breathtaking. From the large public bath, you can also enjoy Otaru’s night view, and the scenery helps melt away your fatigue. Since this is Hokkaido, I chose No Meals Included. In hindsight, I think adding breakfast might have been a good idea.

The room was clean and very nice. There were restaurants and eateries nearby, all within walking distance. The breakfast was also delicious. I would like to use it again if I have the chance.

Right in front of the canal cruise boarding point. Right in front of the LeTAO shop. Located in the very heart of Otaru sightseeing, we also enjoyed seeing the Asuka III docked at the port—an excellent stay.

Stayed at Asarigawa Onsen for the first time in 30 years. Since the reservation was made the day before, room options were limited, but it was a spacious room. However, there was some noise from the pipes. Dinner was very delicious, though I wished for a few more dishes. The breakfast buffet had more variety than expected, and the curry was tasty. Next time, I’d like to try using the izakaya. The Christmas decorations inside were beautiful, and the live piano performance was amazing—I listened for an hour. The open-air onsen was nice, but I felt there could be more baths available. The staff's service was excellent; I’d love to visit again in a different season!

This was my first time sightseeing in Otaru. We stayed at this Hotel right in front of the Otaru Canal. It was a one-night stay for our family of three, and we ate out, so we only needed a place to sleep. The Room felt a bit small, but since we were just sleeping there, it was more than enough and we were satisfied. Next time, I’d like to try the Hotel breakfast. There are many coin-operated parking lots very close to the Hotel, and the rates were much cheaper than in Tokyo. We parked overnight and left the car until checkout while sightseeing around Otaru Station, and it cost 800 yen for 24 hours. There were coin parking lots around 800–1,200 yen. The Hotel Facility was clean, with a calm lobby atmosphere as well—we were very satisfied. Amenities such as face wash, cleansing products, and skincare items were available on the first floor. I’d like to stay here again when traveling to the Otaru area. Thank you very much to all the staff members.

We stayed here during the Obon holidays as a family of three. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. Breakfast was delicious, and it made our trip truly wonderful.

A long-awaited stay at the warehouse complex. I stayed here on a trip with a wine-loving friend. All of the staff were very warm and welcoming, and we felt comfortable throughout our stay. At the bar we visited in the evening, they shared some fun facts about Hokkaido wines. What stood out most was how much we enjoyed chatting with the staff. I would love to stay again.

After sightseeing in Sapporo and Otaru during the peak Obon holiday period, our family of four stayed here. We had a connecting room with a great view, and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast venue the next morning was not crowded, so we could enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace. As guests receive a 5% discount, we bought lots of souvenirs at the shop, and we were able to arrange shipping at the front desk, which made things much easier both physically and mentally.
