The service was outstanding. It was the best hospitality I have ever experienced at any Accommodation. The sashimi of Seki horse mackerel, Bungo beef, and local chicken were all delicious. I was able to relax in the open-air bath while gazing at the beautiful starry sky. I would definitely like to stay here again.

Thank you very much for taking care of us during our 4-night Multiple Night Stay. This time, we stayed in the “Oryu” Room. First of all, every staff member was incredibly kind and clearly loves animals. Everyone greeted us with a smile, was gentle and attentive, brought anything we needed right away, and did their best to accommodate our requests. I’m truly grateful—your staff deserves more than five stars. Next, the meals. We were told they were prepared in a special-suite style, and both the taste and quality were excellent—high standard, delicious, and thoughtfully varied. Even over several days, we never got tired of them and enjoyed every meal. With longer stays, menus can sometimes become difficult for the kitchen side as well, but you handled everything so carefully. Since I’m also a small eater, you kindly let me choose from the menu and adjusted portion sizes accordingly. This also deserves more than five stars. As mentioned earlier, your care for animals was also very thoughtful and helpful. I visited with both a dog and a cat, and it seemed comfortable for both of them. The hot spring water quality was also wonderful. As for the guest room layout: there is a long corridor between the Room area and the bath area, which felt slightly inconvenient, so I deducted one star there. On the other hand, having an additional Room separate from the main living space made it easy to stay comfortably even when traveling with friends—an excellent design. Regarding amenities: there are no pet amenities provided (so bringing your own is necessary), but having at least a litter box available would be very helpful. The surroundings were also fantastic—like a hidden mountain hamlet. By chance we were able to see “Children’s Kagura,” which has deep history and is clearly cherished by the community. The performers practice extensively (twice a week), and while they are indeed children (apparently ranging from 3rd grade elementary school to 3rd year high school), their performance was outstanding and truly impressive. If your dates happen to coincide with it during your stay nearby, it’s absolutely worth seeing. (It seems Kagura is held several times a year; I’d love to see other performances as well.) I also felt that preserving traditional Japanese festivals like this is part of what makes this area so special—and I think it may become even more well-known in the future. It’s about 30 minutes by car to Yufuin Station, so even on an extended stay you can easily go shopping for necessities. Sightseeing around Yufuin should be convenient as well—and Beppu is also about 30 minutes away via expressway—so overall it feels like an excellent location for travelers who want to explore.

This was my second stay. Last time, I stayed during a snowy season, so this time I was able to relax until dinner and fully enjoy the sight of green trees swaying and the gentle calls of evening cicadas from my clean, refined Room. The meals here are delicious both in the morning and in the evening, with plenty of vegetables. Of course, the fish and meat were also excellent—everything was flawless. Above all, the staff’s smiles were wonderful, and their service was attentive and professional, which made me feel truly happy. I will definitely come back to stay again when I have time. The meals were delicious, and having a private family bath allowed us to relax and enjoy our stay. I was happy that yukata-style loungewear was provided. I did feel the waistband elastic could have been a bit tighter, but it was still comfortable to wear. We could sense thoughtful attention in many little details, which made us feel warmly welcomed. I stayed here with my mother. The Accommodation was spotless, and the meals were thoughtfully prepared and truly delicious! Above all, the hospitality from everyone at the Accommodation was outstanding. When I come to Yufuin again, it’s not just that I want to stay in Yufuin—I want to visit Yufuin so I can stay at this Accommodation.

We truly enjoyed both dinner and breakfast, savoring delicious dishes made with local ingredients. The in-room bath was a luxurious free-flowing Onsen, available anytime for a relaxing soak. The Room was spacious and comfortable, and our whole family was very satisfied with choosing this Accommodation.

My wife and I stayed here as a reward after work. Everything was wonderful—the butler service, the food, and the atmosphere. The early evening with a hint of autumn and the refreshing mornings were both amazing. Staying for about two nights would be perfect. Next time, I’d like to try another Room as well. Thank you—my wife was very satisfied too. The meat miso we received was so good we couldn’t stop eating rice.

I had stayed at Kinmonko several times before, and after it became Regina Resort, I visited again—also because it coincided with my younger child’s birthday. It was an even better stay than I imagined, and the time spent with my dog felt truly special. Just as rumored, the thorough dog-first hospitality warmed my heart throughout the trip. From the moment we arrived, all the staff welcomed us with smiles and greeted us by name, which helped my dog relax right away. The Room and shared spaces were stocked with an impressive range of amenities for dogs, and their thoughtful attention to detail really stood out. A surprise that made me especially happy During our stay, I casually mentioned in conversation that my dog’s birthday was coming up soon—and to my surprise, they quickly prepared a birthday cake as a special treat. I was amazed by such a wonderful gesture, and having the staff celebrate together with us filled me with gratitude. Seeing my dog happily enjoying the cake became an unforgettable memory. Surrounded by Yufuin’s beautiful nature, this is truly a dream-like place where both dogs and owners can relax without any hesitation. It was the best Accommodation I can confidently recommend for important anniversaries or creating special memories with your dog. I definitely want to visit again! I have stayed at many pet-friendly Accommodations before, but Regina Resort Yufuin was by far the most satisfying in every way. Next time, I would like to stay at “Kakoi” in the new building.

I visited with my daughter, and from start to finish we were able to relax and enjoy a comfortable, unhurried stay. The Room was clean and simple yet well equipped with everything we needed, and the private open-air bath in the Room—available as many times as we liked at any hour—was truly soothing. The meals were excellent, especially the rice, and we enjoyed hearty dinners and breakfasts. We were also allowed to bring our own alcohol, so we brought a local wine; glasses were kindly provided, and it seemed other guests also brought their own drinks and enjoyed them in their own way. The proprietress’s hospitality was thoughtful without being overbearing—she checked in at just the right moments with a gentle word—and the pleasant atmosphere throughout made this a wonderful Accommodation that I’d love to visit again next time with my husband.

I stayed for one night as an Accommodation stop during a drive because it caught my interest. Although this Ryokan has many international staff members, everyone was very kind and attentive, and I felt they were well trained. The food was delicious, and I was able to relax without worrying much about other guests. Thank you very much, Kazenomori.

I visited Yufuin for the first time in a while. The newly renovated room was very clean, well-maintained, and extremely comfortable. The bath in the room was Onsen, and I enjoyed it multiple times. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious and highly satisfying. I would love to stay here again.

This time, we stayed in two Rooms, Momiji and Yuzu. We were very satisfied with everything, including the service. However, it was disappointing that the bath in Yuzu was far from the Room and inconvenient to use. Thank you for your prompt help with our forgotten item.

A room with extraordinary spaciousness, high ceilings, and a private atmosphere as it is detached. The staff's hospitality was excellent, making it a facility I would recommend even to my most critical friends.

I made a Reservation for a meal course that included a boat-style sashimi platter. When I mentioned at check-in that I planned to try every bath, the front desk staff advised me not to overdo it because I might feel unwell from soaking too much. They were right—I’m glad I didn’t try them all. There were that many baths. For this price, the combination of the meal and the baths was excellent.

This was our family’s first trip to Yufuin. Dinner was delicious, including Bungo beef, and the children’s meals were also luxurious and very generous in portion size. The Ryokan was even more impressive than we expected from the entrance—the interior was surprisingly spacious. We also loved the calm, hidden-retreat atmosphere and charming ambiance. One night wasn’t enough, so we would love to return if we have the chance again. Thank you very much.

You can enjoy a view of Mount Yufu from the semi-open-air bath in the room. Although it was partially covered by clouds, it was still beautiful. The wooden parts of the room's floor showed some signs of aging, but everything seemed clean. We chose the most basic meal course and honestly didn’t expect much, but it was very delicious. The only disappointment was that only bottled beer was available; draft beer would have been a nice option.

The meals were a full-course Japanese cuisine and extremely satisfying. Breakfast was also delicious to the point of overeating. However, while there are five baths available and they were nice, access is on a first-come, first-served basis, making it difficult to use them at your preferred time. The private outdoor bath for two is enjoyable but gives the impression of being underutilized since it’s not always accessible.

As the stay approached, I checked the reviews and found many negative ones, making me feel nervous and uneasy until arriving at the accommodation. I stayed during the year-end holidays, but other review sites mentioned that by late November, a pump failure had caused the large public bath to be unavailable, and guests were shuttled to another accommodation. This made me anxious, so I contacted the accommodation a day before my stay. They assured me that it was no longer broken, but I still felt uneasy... In the end, I was pleasantly surprised in a good way! I chose a room with an open-air bath. While it's true that the room itself is old, the open-air bath was spacious and absolutely fantastic! The private baths also offered beautiful views of Mount Yufu, and contrary to some negative reviews about water temperature issues in both private baths and public baths, everything was at just the right temperature. The staff seemed genuinely dedicated to improving their services; their efforts were evident. During meals, there were plenty of staff members available who promptly responded to requests like refills—making dining very pleasant. Thank you for allowing us to have such a comfortable stay!
