The view from the in-room open-air bath was truly breathtaking. It seemed to be the night of a full moon, and the moonlight reflecting on the water was wonderfully dreamlike. Soaking in the tub and gazing at it for a while, I almost lost track of time. The meals were creative and delicious, and the staff were cheerful, always smiling, and thoughtfully attentive throughout our stay—we had a truly wonderful time. A lovely Accommodation I would love to visit again.

This auberge is well known as an Accommodation serving outstanding fish-focused cuisine. The owner couple are genuinely kind, and you may find it hard to leave. As an auberge, it’s not the place to expect luxurious Room amenities, but they provide a clean and comfortable space. I reduced the bath rating by one star because the private bath is no longer an Onsen, but considering how satisfying the meals are, it more than makes up for it. Dinner is excellent, making full use of high-quality ingredients, but breakfast is equally impressive—be sure to take your time and enjoy it.

Thank you for taking care of our family. We visit Izu, which we love, several times a year, but in recent years it has been difficult for all of us to travel together. This time, our two children brought us to Gyokusui, a place I had been saying for a long time that I wanted to visit. Since we live in a landlocked prefecture, we tend to choose an Accommodation near the sea, but choosing Gyokusui this time was absolutely the right decision. It rained lightly on and off over the two days, but it was truly a fulfilling stay at the Accommodation. The greenery outside the window was so vivid, and everything—the private baths, large public bath, and open-air bath—was at just the right temperature and spotlessly clean and beautiful throughout. As there were five adults this time, instead of a Room with an open-air bath, we chose a Room with a footbath and a spacious terrace with great views. We relaxed while looking out at the garden and chatting. The meals were beautiful to look at and delicious as well—we all ate too much at both breakfast and dinner. No matter where you are in the Accommodation, it’s soothing. Thank you very much for such a wonderful time.

This was my first stay, and I was completely satisfied with everything—the Room, spa treatments, baths, and meals! Since it’s all-inclusive, there were complimentary drink services in various areas, and it was wonderful to enjoy the café while soaking in the footbath. The amenities were well stocked, and perhaps because it was a weekday, the baths were almost private so I could relax at my own pace. There’s also a gym, making it an ideal Hotel stay. I’d love to stay again.

This was our second stay following our visit in March. Every time, both the meals and the hospitality leave us fully satisfied in both heart and stomach. The open view of Sagami Bay stretching across the entire window was also outstanding. From the spacious open-air 전망露天風呂 in our Room, we could even see the horizon, which was truly soothing. It was such a fulfilling stay that it hardly felt like just one night and two days. We would definitely like to visit again.

We were able to stay at a great price with a last-minute deal during heavy rain. The Room was disappointing in that there was no valuables box, and the toilet exhaust fan didn’t work. For valuables, we had to go all the way to the bath area on the 5th floor to use the valuables box there, then head to the far open-air bath on the 6th floor. The open-air bath was amazing. We went in during heavy rain wearing a woven hat, but there were only two, so other guests seemed inconvenienced. We enjoyed it enough and handed our umbrella over before leaving. It would be better if a few more were provided. Amenities in the Room were minimal, and anything else you need is placed on the 1st floor, so you go pick it up yourself. The pillow was very thin, so we borrowed one from three types of pillows available on the 1st floor. When I visited it was pouring rain and there weren’t many other guests, so pillows were still available—but I wonder if they restock them when it’s busy? As for meals, for this price they were acceptable. The steak was processed meat. It’s all-you-can-eat crab, but it’s better not to expect too much. There was also eel; warming it up on the hot plate after cooking steak made it tasty. For breakfast, the DIY rice bowl (toppings over rice) was delicious. Above all, drinks were all-you-can-drink from check-in until 11:00 p.m.—dinner started just 30 minutes after welcome drinks ended—and after that we went to the bar. Since you can take drinks back to your Room as well, we relaxed and drank plenty. The welcome oden and steamed meat buns were also delicious. We also enjoyed midnight udon as a late-night snack—overall we fully made use of everything. The staff members were foreigners as well, but everyone worked very hard and they were wonderful. We would definitely like to return again. Thank you very much.

All the staff were incredibly kind, attentive, friendly, and wonderful!! Even though it was very reasonably priced, the Room was clean, there was a private bath, a relaxing area with manga and games, free drinks, a microwave, and access to the rooftop—our kids were delighted! Overall it was compact and easy to get around, making it very comfortable to stay! This time we booked No Meals Included, but next time we’d like to come back and relax with meals included as well! We stayed with a group of 8, including my parents and my sister's family. It was our first time staying at a Vacation Rental for just one night, with check-in at 4 PM and check-out at 10 AM, so we were initially concerned about the short stay. However, since there were no guests before or after us this time, we were able to enjoy a free early check-in at 3 PM and a paid late check-out at 12 PM. This allowed us to relax more than expected, resulting in high satisfaction. Additionally, we appreciated being allowed to store food items (fresh ingredients and beverages) brought from home in the Facility's refrigerator after noon. This made dinner preparation smoother and more convenient. For dinner for my parents, I wanted to prepare sashimi and ordered it from Yamatsune Fresh Fish Shop near Ito Station based on online research. In hindsight, local sashimi or spiny lobster available at Maxvalue near Izukogen Station would have sufficed as well. During a walk near the Facility, I discovered Kanemitsu Suisan nearby; according to online reviews, it seems excellent for sashimi reservations when staying here. Regarding the Facility itself: unfortunately due to heavy rain during our stay, having the bath and sauna located downstairs was slightly challenging for my elderly parents. However, for most people this detached setup could be seen as an advantage—it was very nice overall! One suggestion would be adding waterproof speakers in the bath area for music playback. The dishes, glasses, living room furniture (table/chairs), lighting fixtures, plants—all items within the Facility—were stylishly curated without anything disappointing us; we had an enjoyable time throughout our stay. For those considering similar concerns: please note that this Accommodation operates as private lodging (minpaku). You may not expect much direct communication with staff post-Reservation completion—phone calls typically connect you only via automated voicemail where messages can be left but may not receive callbacks promptly; email correspondence became possible only days prior instead of earlier engagement like other IKYU.com Vacation Rentals we've experienced before which caused some initial unease despite FAQs covering most queries adequately on their website already. Ultimately though—the quality offered by this Accommodation is exceptional! Approaching your stay understanding these aspects should ensure an enjoyable experience overall!

I was concerned about the view since the property is a distance from the sea, but the view was amazing. Despite the unfortunate cloudy sky and occasional rain during our stay, we were able to see a sky full of stars at night and a stunning sunrise in the morning. There were some differences from the guidebook-like booklet, but the staff kindly explained them when I contacted them on their mobile. Thank you. We stayed on the lower floor, so next time, I would like to stay on the upper floor.

I’m not comfortable with noisy, bustling places, so I chose to stay here. The meals were delicious, and the hostess’s warm smile was truly soothing. Breakfast was also very satisfying, and I would love to stay again. I was able to relax and spend a wonderful time. Thank you very much.
