Thank you for taking care of us on our family trip. Check-in while enjoying a welcome drink was a nice touch, and the Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. There were two bathing options: a free open-air bath and a large public bath, and we could even see Mt. Fuji from the large public bath. Dinner was delicious across the board; although we were full by the end of the meal, the house specialty “Izu Mabushi” was light and refreshing, so we enjoyed it easily. Breakfast featured a variety of side dishes served in small portions on multiple small plates—beautifully presented, and every dish was tasty. The staff were also very pleasant and welcoming, which made our stay even better. We would love to come again. Thank you very much.

We stayed for two nights during the Obon holiday period in August. From our email exchanges before arrival, we already felt this was a very attentive Accommodation, and our stay fully lived up to that impression. The Accommodation has the charm of a traditional Japanese Ryokan, yet it never feels outdated—rather, it offers an elegant and calming atmosphere. What impressed us most was how impeccably clean everything was wherever we went. Even in shared areas such as the lobby, the large public bath, and the massage area, we didn’t notice any dust or litter at all. Needless to say, the Room was also cleaned with great care, including the private open-air bath attached to it. The Onsen water temperature in our Room was just right, allowing us to soak and relax comfortably; even after bathing we stayed pleasantly warm, and we felt it was truly high-quality Onsen water. We only used the large public bath once or twice because it felt a bit shallow for us, but both the washing area and changing room were spacious and very comfortable to use. The private bath was also excellent; however, the only issue was that the tub surface inside was extremely slippery—I nearly slipped and fell. I later noticed there was a warning sign, but it might have been helpful if someone had mentioned this in advance. What made us happiest about both the large public bath and private baths was that towels (both sizes) and amenities were all provided there. These days many places ask guests to bring towels from their Room to shared baths (or private baths), which is always inconvenient and frustrating. Here, towels were available at every bathing area—and there were plenty of towels in the Room as well—so we could enjoy bathing very comfortably. The only Facility/amenity improvement I would hope for is regarding the indoor slippers provided in the building: they were quite tight around my toes and didn’t fit me well, so my toes rubbed painfully enough to peel skin. If possible, I would have appreciated having an alternative option such as sandals alongside them. The meals were delicious with no particular complaints; however, I’m giving four stars simply because I hope they will become even better going forward. Overall: a comfortable and spotless Accommodation; every staff member (including housekeeping) was genuinely polite yet friendly, with wonderful thoughtfulness throughout. It’s an Accommodation we would definitely like to visit again.

Because it’s a small Accommodation, you rarely run into other guests, which makes it excellent for privacy. The exterior is very old. The lobby and hallways have a charming, classic feel—like a traditional Ryokan. But the Room has been properly renovated and is clean. The twin Room even had Simmons reclining beds. The only downside was the token shower booth in the Room and the small toilet, but otherwise it felt perfect. The private open-air bath was also fantastic. Even as the summer heat started to ease, the breeze was wonderfully pleasant. Dinner was an abundant spread of seafood and mountain delicacies, and breakfast with dried horse mackerel was especially good. At the end, the proprietress took a couple’s photo for us. A truly wonderful Accommodation—perfect for a short trip to Izu from around Kanto.

I recently stayed at Yoshiharu, which I had been looking forward to for a long time. After reading Reviews on various sites, I decided to stay here for my trip to Izu—and it was absolutely the right choice. While waiting to check in after arriving at the Ryokan, we were offered complimentary drinks and sweets, and then we were given a thorough tour of the property. With five private hot-spring baths, a large public bath with a sauna, massage chairs, and a lounge space available morning and night (soft drinks, coffee, café au lait, tea, etc.), there are so many Facilities that the guided tour helped us enjoy everything to the fullest. The food was of course delicious—the Koshihikari rice was excellent, and the abalone was outstanding!! As others have said as well, this is truly an Accommodation you’ll want to visit again in another season. I will definitely be back.

The meals were delicious, and it was great that the baths were private. The uphill walk to the main building was a bit tough; it would be even better if there were welcome drinks available at the main building.

This was my first stay at Ishinoya. The Room was in a detached-style layout, and when moving to the large public bath and other areas, I could forget everyday life while watching the koi—truly a wonderful time. Thank you very much. Thank you as well to all the staff for your kindness. Breakfast and dinner were both delicious, and I was very satisfied. Each dish was carefully prepared, with perfect presentation and flavor—five stars. Thank you, Chef. I would love to visit again.

Even before our visit, you kindly and attentively accommodated our requests, such as providing a floor chair and securing parking. Not only were the Room and each Facility wonderful, but the hospitality of the staff was also outstanding. Despite it being during the summer vacation season, we were able to spend a calm and relaxing time far from the crowds, and even my usually picky wife kept saying, “I want to come back here again.” Thank you very much.

The mist felt like a shower of beauty serum, and my skin became truly soft and deeply moisturized. After enjoying the hot stone sauna, the open-air bath, and the radon Onsen, even my knee pain had eased by the time I left. I was amazed—my knee could bend again! The staff were all very warm and welcoming, and breakfast was beautifully presented and delicious. I prefer this style over a buffet. I would love to visit again.

This was my first time using IKYU. We decided on short notice to take an Onsen trip three days later (on a weekday), and an AI recommended IKYU, so I installed the app and searched. The last-minute deal that came up was an accommodation in Izu (Koyu-ro Ikawa). Let me say this upfront: I will definitely return. It was that wonderful. I believe it’s an older Ryokan that has been renovated, and I was truly impressed by the concept. It’s a triumph of spatial design. The entire building is kept softly dim, with skillful lighting creating a luxurious atmosphere, and carefully selected sofas placed in the lobby. Together, these elements gently conceal the age of the building and create a gorgeous space where you can completely relax. It was also clear that every service and facility—such as welcome drinks and the after-meal dessert buffet—has been thoughtfully planned and provided. What I especially want to highlight is the private open-air bath in a separate annex on the first floor. You can soak in an indescribably wonderful space, and that time left a powerful impression on me. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent. There is only one thing I regret: while almost all staff were perfect (100/100), when we arrived about an hour before check-in at 3:00 p.m., the young female staff member who came out from the back to assist us at reception was extremely disappointing. Her language wasn’t polite, and it made me feel as if we were being pushed out of the property. We pulled ourselves together and returned before 3:00 p.m., but everyone else was outstanding.

Fuji was amazing! The in-room bath was also very comfortable. • Facility The relaxation room on the first floor was dark and a bit scary. Otherwise, no issues. • Meals Truly delicious. Even my partner, who is picky about food, was very satisfied. The portions were just right. I’d happily return just for the meals.

It was unfortunately raining that day, so we stopped by the newly opened Izu no Kuni History Museum “Izushiru” before checking in. The welcome drink system, where you can choose your preferred drink from a vending machine, felt efficient and practical. I absolutely loved the gift zori sandals in our Room and will take good care of them. We used the private open-air bath again this time. There are now two washing stations, so even as a couple we didn’t have to wait and it was very comfortable. The slightly thick, silky hot spring water is wonderful. The floor chair in the Room had been replaced with a higher chair, making it even more comfortable than before. Since it was raining, we enjoyed soaking in the open-air bath attached to our guest room and watching baseball on one of the two TVs that can receive satellite channels. All of the meals were delicious and the portions were just right. After dinner, being able to use the coffee machine in the lobby also added to our satisfaction. All of the staff were very pleasant and welcoming. There’s no excessive service—just a great Accommodation you can enjoy even on rainy days—and my wife likes it too, so it’s becoming our regular place in Izu Nagaoka. We look forward to staying again.

This is my third stay. Every year during the Obon holidays, I visit my family home, and the day before returning home I always stop by this Hotel to unwind. I relax in the Onsen and enjoy the buffet, and I always leave satisfied. The staff’s courteous service and prompt assistance are truly appreciated. I look forward to staying again next year.

I wanted to enjoy the Onsen anytime in my Room, so this time I made a Reservation for a Room with a hinoki bath Onsen. Since I prefer hotter water, they kindly raised the temperature of the in-room bath for me. The water is an alkaline simple Onsen, and its gentle feel blended smoothly with my skin—after bathing, my skin felt silky and smooth. Truly worthy of being called “beauty-enhancing waters.” The meals were excellent for both dinner and breakfast. Each dish was carefully prepared with extra attention and clearly well thought out. The portions were just right, and I was very satisfied. There were several international staff members as well, but their hospitality was outstanding, and it was clear they are well trained. It had been quite a long time since I last stayed in Izunagaoka Onsen, but this is an Accommodation I’d like to visit again soon. Thank you very much.

We stayed with three children. After reading Reviews recommending the top floor, we chose a Room that cost a little extra. I can’t compare it with other Rooms, but it had plenty of space, and the in-room bath and toilet were nice—our kids were very happy. We could use the public baths in both the main building and the annex: the main building was more spacious, while the annex had a sauna, so we enjoyed both at night and again in the morning. The Onsen warmed us up really well. The roads from Numazu to the Hotel were quite congested and we arrived later than planned, but they handled everything politely. We sometimes stay at Itoen Hotels for family trips because their Accommodation Fee with two meals included is reasonably priced. The building itself is old and you can tell it’s been kept running with repairs here and there, but everything necessary was well maintained and I had no complaints at all. The meals were in Itoen Hotel’s usual buffet style, but what we ate at Kinjokan was tastier than at other locations we’ve visited before. Most of the menu items were familiar, yet my wife said the same (not dramatically different, but noticeably better). The staff were also polite and kind. None of the older staff seemed careless, and a young woman working in the buffet area did an excellent job. Even in times when it’s hard to find younger workers, they seemed fortunate to have such good staff members.

We stayed here during the Obon holidays with our family and our dog. The Room felt a little small for four adults plus a dog, but the amenities were well stocked, everything was thoroughly cleaned, and we had a very comfortable stay. The grass in the dog run was also beautifully maintained, and our dog seemed to have a great time. Some Reviews mentioned concerns about the food, but they kindly accommodated our request as we are not fond of river fish, and the meals were actually delicious. There was a wide variety of dishes—so much so that we wished we had started dinner a bit earlier to enjoy even more. It seems the dining hall offers many other menu items besides what we had this time, so next time we would like to choose a Plan without meals and try various dishes there. All of the staff were very kind and handled everything with care even during the busy Obon period, which impressed us. It was a wonderful Accommodation that made us want to return for another family trip. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us.

The bath was amazing! My skin felt so smooth afterward. I didn’t use it this time, but I heard the bath in the Room is also an Onsen. Being able to choose a yukata pattern was a lovely touch for women. All of the staff were kind and thoughtful in so many ways. They recommended Genbei River as a place to explore on the second day, and I ended up playing in the river for the first time in decades (lol). The nature there was incredibly refreshing. The meals were delicious, with more than enough food to finish. We made wonderful summer vacation memories. Thank you very much.

I had the pleasure of enjoying a traditional Japanese-style Ryokan after a long time! Although it was a traditional Japanese-style Ryokan, the cuisine served was Italian, and every dish was absolutely delicious! As it is an exclusive-use accommodation, you can enjoy the bath at your leisure anytime, and the quality of the hot spring water was exceptional. The hostess was charming, and the chef accommodated our needs flexibly, making our stay incredibly pleasant. I will definitely visit again!

I stayed for one night. The kettle was broken and I couldn’t use it, so although instant coffee was provided, I wasn’t able to drink it. The Room was very clean and had two separate areas—one by the bed and one by the sofa. There is no TV, but I was able to relax and enjoy a quiet stay. I also enjoyed the Onsen and was satisfied.

During Golden Week, from May 3 to May 5, we stayed for three days on a one-night stay with two meals Plan for two adults and one dog. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The Hotel owner was very young, and it was wonderful to see how dedicated they were to their work. We truly appreciated the warm hospitality and would love to visit again if we have the chance.
