This was our second stay. Since our third son (our beloved dog) joined our family five years ago, we only choose Accommodations where we can stay together, so we’ve stayed at many pet-friendly places around the Kanto area. With new Accommodations opening all the time, there are only a few we’ve ever revisited—but this one is exceptionally satisfying, so we returned during the Obon holiday period. With pet-friendly Accommodations, there’s often something you have to compromise on, but this place is almost perfect. The balcony of our guest Room had an open-air Onsen bath, a sauna, a cold plunge bath, and a relaxation area with a shower—plus an open-air bath for dogs. Inside the Room, there was a theater room with two massage chairs and a dining room where you can enjoy meals in your Room. The French cuisine served there is truly delicious. Recently, more and more Accommodations have excellent Facilities, but I don’t know any other place where you can enjoy food of this quality in your Room with your dog. Once again, everything was absolutely delicious. If you’re looking for the best Accommodation to stay with your dog, I highly recommend giving this place a try.

From the moment we arrived at the entrance, we felt warmly welcomed. Every staff member was very pleasant, yet never intrusive, and we had a truly wonderful time. A wild squirrel even appeared on our Room terrace, and the birdsong was so soothing. We were also able to enjoy our meals at a relaxed pace. At checkout, we received kind words that made us feel glad we came—an Accommodation we would be happy to return to. We also enjoyed both Mt. Omuro and Mt. Komuro. Thank you very much.

Each Room comes with a private open-air bath, and meals can be served in the Room as well, so we were able to relax without worrying about others. What made us happiest was how well the Accommodation is set up for dogs! In addition to a private dog run just for our Room, there is an indoor dog run on-site, and outside the Accommodation there are two more dog runs—one with wood chips and one with grass—making four in total. We could choose where to play depending on our mood and the weather. The meals were also delicious, making great use of Izu’s fish, meat, and vegetables. There was an excellent selection of menu items for our dog as well, and they finished everything in no time. All of the staff were very dog-friendly, and it really showed how much they care about dogs. It became a wonderful memory where we could truly relax together with our dog. Thank you very much.

In-room dining and a private open-air bath in the Room made it a completely private space. The meals were delicious. This Accommodation was great for families with small children, as you can relax and enjoy your stay without worrying about others. It was a bit difficult to do makeup, so having a handheld mirror would be helpful.

Above all, the cuisine was outstanding. I also enjoyed the private open-air bath in my room many times. I’d love to visit again!

I had such a wonderful impression when I stayed here before that this is my second visit. From the welcome sweets to the Japanese-Western fusion dinner and the hearty breakfast, everything was delicious. All meals were brought to our Room, so there was no need to change clothes, and we could relax completely. I also appreciated that when I informed them in advance about ingredients I can’t eat, they accommodated me properly. During our 3-day/2-night stay, all of the staff took great care of us. I had the chance to speak with five staff members, and every one of them provided excellent service! They were polite and warm, and I truly felt well looked after. The only thing I noticed was that the shower drainage was a little slow. Even so, overall it was a lovely Accommodation where we felt very comfortable. Taking an open-air bath early in the morning while listening to bush warblers singing was an unforgettable experience. I’d love to visit again in a different season.

A relaxing, tranquil Accommodation for adults. Watch the ever-changing sky, sea, and forest, and the sparkling stars; soak in the Onsen whenever you like; and enjoy high-quality meals... Above all, the staff’s hospitality is outstanding. During my stay, they never once asked for my name or Room number, and they even adjusted the end time of dinner to fit my spa Reservation. Thanks to their seamless communication and thoughtful care, I felt completely at ease throughout my stay. I will be back again. Thank you very much.

I have stayed here several times, and it remains a wonderful Hotel. The staff are excellent, and the meals are outstanding and delicious. This time, I also enjoyed seasonal ingredients that felt like summer and was very satisfied. The Room is also lovely, with beautiful fittings and flooring. It is quiet and relaxing. Whenever I come here, I can spend my time slowly and peacefully, which I really appreciate. I would definitely like to stay again.

We stayed at another Accommodation for one night to get our “cat fix,” then chose this place for the second night after seeing reviews saying the food is delicious and you can meet adorable cats. The exterior is an extremely charming building. We were able to use the “Now’s the time to visit Ito!” campaign, so we enjoyed a great deal. We chose a Room with an ocean view, but unfortunately the weather wasn’t great, so we’d love to come back and try again. The bath is private and requires a Reservation after check-in. In addition to an indoor bath, there is a semi-open-air bath with a small garden; it has a roof and walls so you can’t see the outside scenery. It’s genuine Onsen water, and since it was mosquito season, they even had an adorable cat-shaped mosquito coil burning. Because we had an early departure the next morning, we chose a Plan with dinner only—but it was so surprisingly delicious that it felt like dining at a starred restaurant, and we regretted not adding breakfast. The sashimi was fresh, and each dish was carefully handmade—many unlike anything we’d had before. Everything was excellent: spring rolls, small side dishes, simmered kinmedai (splendid alfonsino), white rice, and more. The hamburger steak served toward the end wasn’t greasy or heavy, and the portion size was just right. Dessert also offered variety: fruit, cake, and ice cream. The cookies in our Room—and even the cookies we received as souvenirs—were delicious as well. This is an Accommodation worth visiting just for the food alone. We’ve stayed at many Hotels and Ryokan around Japan, but my wife and I still talk about how amazed we were by how good the meals were here. After dinner there was time to interact with the cats. It’s not really hands-on petting time, but the owner kindly let us hold one of them and take photos (the cat looked slightly unimpressed!). The owner and his wife were incredibly kind, and their hospitality truly came through. At checkout it was raining quite heavily; they lent us an umbrella for walking to our car—and even came out again to collect it after we got in. We would love to return.

We chose this Accommodation after seeing photos and Reviews saying the food is incredibly delicious. We travel twice a week, and among the many Accommodations we’ve stayed at, the meals here were truly top-class. It really felt like we came to stay at an Accommodation run by a chef. We’re a bit shy, but they spoke with us in a way that wasn’t too close or too distant, so we had a wonderful time. This time it was just the two of us, but next time we’d like to bring our parents as well.

Our First Visit to Ubud no Mori All of the staff were incredibly kind and spoke to our dog so warmly. Thanks to them, we felt welcomed and comfortable from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious—we were more than satisfied!! We even got to enjoy the late-night soba, which made the evening even happier. Being able to relax and have such a wonderful time with our dog became a truly special memory for us. We would love to visit again! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

This visit back to the Accommodation was a firm promise we made with M-chan and N-chan’s family, whom we met here two years ago in August. That day, we played together at the dog run, shared dinner, and spent bar time talking about many things—it was a once-in-a-lifetime encounter during our stay. I still remember how incredibly fun it was. At the time, our M was still an only dog, but meeting M-chan and N-chan—who became friends with us—created an irreplaceable and wonderful bond. We were also truly happy to become friends with their dad and mom as well. At checkout, we made a strong promise: “Let’s all meet again here at this Accommodation someday, healthy and well!” But soon after that, we were shocked to receive the sudden news of M-chan’s passing. Her mom told us that she crossed the Rainbow Bridge in March. We were heartbroken that we could no longer reunite with everyone in good health as we had promised. Still, because this Accommodation was a place M-chan loved so very much, we wanted to honor her here—and so all of us were able to meet again. Together—with their dad and mom; M-chan and N-chan; our MM sisters; and us—we came back to the Accommodation saying “We’re home!” The staff welcomed us warmly with gentle smiles saying “Welcome back,” and M-chan and N-chan—and our MM sisters—were absolutely delighted. For dinner, they seated us next to each other, and it became a joyful dinner time as we talked together while remembering M-chan. At bar time as well, we shared many memories with their dad and mom and talked about what lies ahead; it was a warm, gentle time that passed slowly. We also had breakfast together afterward, then played at the dog run right up until the last minute—sharing truly priceless moments. We believe none of this would have been possible without the kindness and support of all the staff. We are filled with gratitude for watching over our stay until the very end with such warmth. This Accommodation truly brings people together! And it is a one-of-a-kind place—wonderful, beautiful, something you can be proud of—that helps fulfill promises made between beloved dogs! This was our second stay in four months, and my husband and I stayed for one night. Just like the first time, we were able to relax completely. During our first visit, I wasn’t feeling well due to overwork, so I only managed to use the bath in our Room once and didn’t get many chances to talk with Madame. This time, I was in perfect condition, and I was truly happy to be able to visit again. As before, the cuisine was beautifully presented and of course tasted wonderful—we enjoyed everything all the way through dessert. We were genuinely moved by the chef’s uncompromising dedication. Also, on this second visit, we really realized just how high Madame’s level of hospitality is. She remembered exactly what drinks we had ordered last time, and we were impressed by her unwavering commitment to exceptional service. Next time, I’d love to visit with my sister as well—she loves traveling and good food. Thank you very much!

I had a very comfortable stay. Once again, I was delighted by the warmth of all the staff. Everyone is attentive and hardworking, and your hospitality truly comes through—creating a relaxing atmosphere. Last time I was too full to try the late-night tantanmen, so this time I moved dinner earlier and adjusted my timing by singing karaoke right up until then. The tantanmen was the perfect portion and delicious. I will definitely visit again. Thank you very much for your kind care.

Stayed with my Yorkshire Terrier and mother. The interior has a European feel down to the details, creating a wonderful atmosphere. The room is spacious enough, and there was no unpleasant smell. The onsen in the room allows for easy access to a relaxing bath, which was very enjoyable. We only had breakfast during our stay, but the meal on the second day was very delicious. For dinner, please note that you need to choose such a plan or make a reservation in advance; ordering after arriving at the hotel seems difficult. Dinner costs 10,000 yen per person, which felt a bit expensive. However, there are no nearby places within walking distance for dining out easily, so please keep this in mind.

We stayed with our 3-year-old and our 2-month-old baby. We chose this Accommodation because the Room has a private open-air bath, and in-room dining—now quite rare—meant we could relax even with small children. About two days before our stay, we received a confirmation call and were grateful for the details about the Shuttle Service pickup location. When we told them our children’s ages, they kindly said, “We’ll make sure your Room is thoroughly cleaned.” The Facility felt a bit dated, but the Room was very clean. Everyone at the Ryokan wore hakama, which looked wonderful. Since we arrived with children, they guided us to our Room first, and being able to complete check-in in the Room was also a big plus. We were welcomed with matcha tea and warabi mochi, which helped us unwind after traveling. With only eight guest Rooms, it was very quiet throughout our stay—comfortable like having a private villa. They had already laid out futons so our child could lie down anytime, and they spoke warmly to our older child by name—thoughtful service that really stood out. Every in-room dining dish was delicious, especially the fish dishes. The private open-air bath attached to the guest Room had a lovely hinoki aroma. It rained on arrival day, but the next morning we enjoyed a bath while looking out at the sea. There is also a reservable open-air bath on the rooftop; after putting the kids to sleep, my spouse and I took turns using it. We even enjoyed stargazing at night—such a special memory. Thanks to all of their thoughtful care, this became an unforgettable family trip. We would love to stay again when we visit Izu. Thank you very much!

This was our first overnight stay since our baby was born. To show my appreciation to my wife, who works so hard every day caring for our child, I was looking for an Accommodation where we could relax with a baby without worry—and that’s how we found KURO. Upon arrival, we were impressed by how spacious and spotless the Room was. On top of that, you had prepared a play mat for the baby, a nap futon, and even toys in advance—we were truly touched by your thoughtful attention to detail. Every dish was absolutely delicious and very filling, yet well balanced throughout the meal. We even finished all the rice balls served as a late-night snack between the two of us. We were also able to enjoy the in-room open-air bath at our own pace without worrying about anyone around us. It was wonderful to see my usually busy wife fully relax and feel refreshed. This time we stayed in the Star Room, but once our child turns one and is more active, we’d love to try the Garden Room next time as well. Thank you very much for such a wonderful stay!

First, thank you for accommodating my food allergies despite the last-minute Reservation the day before. The Accommodation is tucked away in the mountains, quiet and surrounded by nature—yet surprisingly well located with views out over the sea. There is no Shuttle Service to the Accommodation, so I took a taxi from Izu-Kogen Station. There aren’t many taxis waiting, but you should be able to get one without too long a wait. As it’s truly a detached-style Accommodation, each Room is set apart, so you don’t have to worry about noise from other guests. I believe all Rooms are detached and the number of guests is limited. The villa has high ceilings and a charming design, with an indoor bath featuring large windows as well as a private open-air bath in the Room. There’s also a small garden and an open-air bath without a roof. Of course, being outdoors means it’s affected by the weather. The views are lovely, but once you sink into the tub you can’t really see the ocean—just so you know. On clear nights, you can enjoy a sky full of stars. In-room dining was attentive and comfortable throughout, and I truly appreciated how carefully they adjusted the dishes for my allergies. They can also add or modify menus using local ingredients to suit your preferences. The refrigerator was stocked with drinks, and amenities were more than sufficient. I was able to relax without needing to leave my Room at all. A recommended Japanese-style Accommodation where you can unwind in privacy without worrying about others’ eyes.

The staff’s hospitality was truly outstanding. One delightful surprise after another made both our hearts and stomachs more than satisfied. There were plenty of activities for both adults and children, and we fully enjoyed the breathtaking views of the sea and islands. One night wasn’t nearly enough to experience it all. We would love to return.

We stayed on May 2, right in the middle of Golden Week. The traffic and bustle on the way to the Accommodation disappeared the moment we arrived—it felt like another world. We relaxed in the in-room bath to soothe our fatigue, and my wife even took a peaceful nap until dinner. Dinner, which we had been looking forward to, exceeded our expectations and left us completely satisfied. The portions and variety were excellent, and no matter how much there was, it still didn’t feel like enough with the kamado-cooked rice. (Breakfast was also outstanding.) We were able to spend our time without coming into contact with other guests. Finally, from arrival to departure, we were greeted with warm smiles throughout. Both body and mind were refreshed, making it a truly wonderful trip. We would definitely like to visit again.
