We stay here every summer. We come for the nature of Jogasaki and the meals at this Accommodation. Every time, we enjoy outstanding kaiseki cuisine that is wonderful in both presentation and taste. This time, during dinner, a Japanese staff member kindly explained each dish in detail, which made an even better impression. We will visit again next year.

We stayed again because we loved the meals and the baths at Powell. The food was even better than before, both in quality and quantity, so we wanted to stay again and checked the rates during our stay. It felt like it went from a very satisfying place you could stay for just over ¥10,000 to a good place in the high ¥10,000 range. If possible, we’d appreciate plans to fill last-minute vacancies so we can stay at a slightly more affordable rate.

Ito Kowakien is a place I was taken to as a child. I visited again for the first time in 30 years, this time with my wife, and every staff member we encountered was wonderful—their smiles, their words, and their service. After returning home, it made me want to be kinder to others. Thank you for continuing to be here just as you always have. I hope to visit again on another special occasion.

This was my second stay. I booked the night before, and it was great value for money—I was able to relax and take my time. If you book normally, the splendid alfonsino is served as Italian-style herb-baked fish, so I added a note in the comments saying I’d be happy if it could be simmered instead. They called to confirm on the morning of our stay and kindly changed it to simmered fish. It was very delicious. I’ll definitely be back again. Thank you very much.

It was my first time using this Facility, so my expectations were mixed, but the view from the hilltop was amazing. My Room was on the 2nd floor of the main building, and unfortunately a large tree blocked the view from the balcony. However, I later learned that the 2nd floor has smoking-allowed Rooms, and they said they would consider it if I requested an upper floor. Both dinner and breakfast were extremely satisfying. The female staff member was also very pleasant; her name tag said “Densuke,” so I asked if she was from Densuke Chaya in Atami—and she said yes. That explained why the food was so wonderful. There were so many dishes that I had to give up on the kamameshi. I used to stay at other Hotels in Ito, but from now on I’d like to stay here.

The Room, the bath, and the private bath were all great. The food was also excellent. There was a fireworks festival, and it was close to the venue so we could see it well. We will stay again.

All the staff were incredibly kind, attentive, friendly, and wonderful!! Even though it was very reasonably priced, the Room was clean, there was a private bath, a relaxing area with manga and games, free drinks, a microwave, and access to the rooftop—our kids were delighted! Overall it was compact and easy to get around, making it very comfortable to stay! This time we booked No Meals Included, but next time we’d like to come back and relax with meals included as well! Thank you very much!

The Onsen was simply wonderful! Since we were traveling as a couple, we used the private family bath, and we slept soundly afterward. It was also lovely to soak in the footbath while watching the koi. Depending on the day of the week, there’s almost nothing around nearby, so you may want to have dinner at the Hotel or eat elsewhere in advance so you can relax. Also, I understand the eco-friendly approach with fewer amenities, but it would be very helpful if at least facial lotion were provided. Still, breakfast was delicious, and overall I’m truly glad we stayed!

To satisfy my hungry junior-high grandson, I looked for a place with a delicious buffet. My husband had stayed here twice before and said the Room was spacious, so we chose it. In reality, the roomy interior let each of us relax at our own pace, and the services—like the drink bar and after-bath ice cream—were excellent. My grandson was thrilled. We enjoyed playing in the pool and the Onsen pool, and we also had fun at the evening festival stalls. All of the staff were very kind, which left a great impression. This is a Hotel that makes you want to come back. Just one thing: it was disappointing that it felt hot inside the elevator.

I usually stay at Itoen Group properties, but this time I tried staying here with a breakfast-included Plan! There are various shops nearby, so not having dinner included was no problem at all. I came by motorcycle, and it was raining quite heavily on the day of checkout, so when I told them I wanted to extend my stay, they looked into options and arranged it for me. The staff were very helpful, and I had a very satisfying stay. Next time, I’d like to try the Plan with dinner included.

The warm, welcoming atmosphere from everyone at the Ryokan was wonderful. The Room was clean and very relaxing. From the flavors to the presentation, the meals were truly enjoyable, delicious, and outstanding. The portions seemed a bit small at first, so if you let your guard down you might not make it to the end—happy problem to have. (Laughs) The beer in the Room wasn’t ice-cold, so next time I’ll grab one from the back!! I’ll visit again in a different season—thank you in advance.

This is an ideal Hotel for families with children. We stayed as a parent and child, and it was a trip of nonstop play and plenty of drinks. It rained heavily that day, so we only played indoors. Even so, there was more than enough to do, and our child was completely satisfied. Parents can also relax with a drink in hand while watching their kids play, making it a special getaway for adults as well. Above all, the dedication of the Hotel staff was truly moving. Their care for children felt so professional that it could have been a daycare center. It’s common to see a cake brought out at dinner for a child’s birthday, but this Hotel goes beyond that. I won’t share details to avoid spoilers, but the performance despite the rain became an unforgettable experience. The event starting at 9:00 PM also surprised us with its creative, child-participation format. Parents were exhausted by then, but seeing our child’s happy smile—and the staff’s thoughtful production—made us feel happy too. One challenge was that there is no large public bath. There are only two private baths indoors and two outdoors, so it becomes very competitive. Since you can’t make a Reservation and can only enter if one is available, we managed to use one once by luck but couldn’t find any availability after that. The outdoor open-air baths were difficult in the rain because you have to walk there with an umbrella, so we gave up. Also disappointing was that the Shuttle Service pick-up point at Ito Station has no roof. We waited in the rain, and when a bus finally arrived it turned out to be for another affiliated property—overall it was hard to understand. The price range felt on the higher side, but considering how happy our child was and how devoted the staff service is, overall satisfaction felt high. Thank you very much for taking care of us during our stay.

We stayed here as a family. The pool and the Facility were clean, and the pool temperature was just right, so we had a great time. If I had to mention one thing, the convenience store is a bit far by car, and there are few streetlights at night, which makes driving difficult—so it would be perfect if drinks and alcohol were prepared in advance. We would love to stay again with our family if we have the chance.

This was my first stay here. Although it was listed as “limited availability due to exterior construction,” it didn’t bother me at all. (The view from the large public bath was more than enough!) The Japanese-style room was spacious, and I felt truly pampered. The 15 m pool was small but still very satisfying, and the hot-spring public bath and sauna were excellent. I love walking around town, so I explored the covered shopping street from Ito Station on the way—and it felt like, “Wait, I’m already at the hotel?” I’d like to make this my regular place to stay whenever I visit Ito.

As dinner is not included by default, you can relax and enjoy your stay at your own pace with no time constraints. Check-in is from 2:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the baths. With private reservable baths and a large public bath, this is highly recommended for hot spring lovers.

The Accommodation itself is compact, but the detached annex is impressive and offers plenty of space. The meals were distinctive yet delicious. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared.

We used the Parent-and-Child Trip Plan and the 50+ & Weekday Plan. Our Room was a Japanese-modern suite with a Shigaraki-ware open-air bath (smoking allowed). Spacious and comfortable! The bed was great too! And with breakfast and dinner included, it was just over JPY 11,000 per person—such a good deal! I use e-cigarettes, but even though an ashtray was provided, the Room didn’t smell of smoke at all, so I felt bad and ended up smoking outside. There are ashtrays in several places within the Facility, which was helpful. There isn’t much around within walking distance, so we decided to enjoy our time at the Accommodation. The karaoke was busy, but we managed to get a one-hour slot (additional charge). The karaoke room is quite spacious. The baths do not allow tattoos. My daughter used the public bath while I used the tub in our Room. She said the public bath felt wonderful. The in-room bath was also very comfortable with a nice view. One thing to note: I couldn’t find a faucet for washing up by the bath—maybe there was one? Since there is a separate shower room, I washed there and then moved to the bath. The bathroom door has good soundproofing, so noise hardly reached the bedroom. I relaxed while playing music on my phone. One more thing... The bathroom is fully visible from the bedroom, so when my daughter wanted to use it, I went for a walk outside. A small screen or partition would be helpful. There were bathrobes, but only two small towels and no bath towels. I had brought my own and used that; if you hang it on a hanger it dries quickly. The tub is fairly large and deep—very comfortable. We often stay at Livemax when exploring around Izu, and this place also has great food. I like lively buffet atmospheres, so we enjoyed it here as well. All-you-can-eat salmon roe at both dinner and breakfast—this was amazing! Dinner items like meat and shrimp sashimi were great too, and breakfast breads and egg dishes were delicious. The shower head, hair dryer, and iron were all ReFa—my daughter was thrilled. They really are nice. From check-in to check-out, all staff provided excellent service. Service in the restaurant was also attentive, making our time very comfortable overall. Thanks to you all, my daughter and I had a wonderful trip. Thank you! *One small concern: When we entered the Room there were empty cans and some trash left in the bin. It seemed like something had been missed during cleaning—and I also wondered why someone would throw cans into that bin.

I have stayed here many times. At a typical Ryokan, I’m a light eater, so the meals served are often more than I can finish. For that reason, wherever I go, I stay without meals included. I eat at nearby restaurants and order only what I want and can finish. It’s cheaper and makes for a more relaxed trip. From that perspective, Kameya Rakkan is the best Hotel. Of course, the staff are kind as well, and I appreciate their attentive service. I will stay again.

The Room did not have a private bath, but it was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Both the dinner and breakfast buffets had a wide variety of dishes, and everything tasted great. There were chairs in the smoking area as well, so I was able to relax comfortably. It was a Hotel I would like to visit again. Thank you very much.

As a middle-aged guest who loves Itoen Hotels, I had always wanted to stay at the main building in Ito. It turned out to be a wonderful experience. The biggest highlight was the Onsen. The free-flowing hot spring water felt like a luxury. Even in Ito Onsen, where the volume of hot spring water is abundant, I believe there are only a limited number of Accommodations that offer true free-flowing baths. The clear, gentle water was easy to soak in and warmed me through. Regarding the Room, mine was on the third floor up a staircase. As this is an older Hotel with many stairs, it may be challenging for guests with limited mobility, but it also gave me a chance to reflect on an era when things were likely less convenient than they are today. The riverside view from the Room I worked hard to reach was charming and atmospheric. As for meals and drinks, there may have been fewer options than at other Itoen group Hotels, but it was more than enough for me. The sashimi and local dishes were especially good. I also appreciated that they offered several types of sake. Another great feature of this Hotel is that guests can play the grand piano. Many Hotels have pianos but do not allow guests to touch them, so I was impressed by this service. Unfortunately, the available playing time was short and overlapped completely with dinner hours, so there was practically no time to play. To make matters worse, one male guest monopolized the piano all evening without leaving it once. It felt unfair to see many other guests lingering around the lobby who likely wanted to try it or take photos as well. Still, that issue lies with the guest rather than the Hotel—I hope they continue offering this service. I would love to stay again. Thank you very much.
