Everything was excellent. The hostess’s hospitality was especially wonderful. The staff also kindly introduced us to local spots and were very helpful, so we were able to fully enjoy Nagano. The Onsen was very relaxing, and the meals were truly delicate, beautifully presented, and delicious throughout. There was no excessive service like at a luxury Ryokan, which made it very comfortable. We would love to stay again when we visit Matsumoto.

Both the entrance and our Room were spotless, the meals (and sweets) were delicious, the Onsen was wonderfully relaxing, and all of the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming—we were truly impressed. At the dining venue, there was plenty of space between each group, so our child was able to focus quietly on eating. Also, we really appreciated that you provided activities inside the Hotel such as a puzzle-solving game (the adults got seriously into it too!) and a cardboard maze. When we checked our answers for the puzzle game, the front desk staff assisted us so kindly and thoroughly, which made our child very happy. I don’t usually post a Review, but I was so moved that I wanted to share this one. We travel to Matsumoto every summer, so we’d love to stay with you again next year. Thank you very much.

I visited hoping to experience a European atmosphere, drawn by Tateshina’s location and the Hotel’s attention to detail that I had read about in advance. On my first trip to Tateshina, I was greeted by a deer as soon as I arrived, and I was thrilled by the rich nature and the refined resort-town feel. The Hotel interior felt so French it was almost surreal, and with so many beautiful paintings like an art museum, I could have spent hours finding a favorite. The Room hand soap was Diptyque, and even the amenities, magazines, and books featured colorful design that kept catching my eye. Local craft beer and soft drinks were included, and I was able to relax in the spacious Room and on the balcony. Dinner and breakfast were delicious, and throughout my stay the staff welcomed me warmly with just the right sense of distance—our conversations were enjoyable, making for a very comfortable time. As others have mentioned, since it’s not easy to visit often, it might be nice if you offered souvenirs for sale that would serve as a keepsake of staying at such a wonderful Hotel. Thank you very much for this wonderful experience.

The in-room Facilities are excellent. It’s quiet, so you can sleep peacefully and relax. The sofa bed is also much more comfortable than those at other Hotels.

True to its name as an Accommodation with Onsen, the hot springs left our skin silky smooth and helped us feel refreshed. The hospitality was also attentive, and thank you for making our stay so comfortable.

We stayed as two adults. We were able to enjoy a variety of alcoholic drinks in the lounge, and it felt like a quiet, sophisticated space. You can have a truly wonderful time here. The Room was very clean and comfortable. The meals were also delicious, and we could dine at a relaxed pace; there was a great variety of ingredients that felt nourishing for the body, which we really appreciated. If we have the chance to visit Tateshina again, this is a Hotel we would definitely like to stay at.

When visiting Utsukushigahara and Matsumoto Castle for the first time, we chose Miyamaso mainly because it had the best room rate. Since it was so reasonably priced, we were a little worried at first... But after staying there, it was great!! The meals were especially good. There was more than enough food, and everything was delicious!! Next year we’d like to visit Kamikochi, and we’re hoping to stay here again.

This was my second stay, and it was incredibly relaxing. The views were amazing. The air was so fresh. I was able to truly unwind. It was great to buy ingredients at the farm stand at the foot of the mountain, cook them, and enjoy fruit for dessert. Also, I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the simple pizza from the food truck that opens in the evening was—highly recommended. I think lowering the hot spring temperature a little in summer would make it easier to soak and relax.

A traditional ryokan renovated with a modern touch. The facility may not match the price perfectly, but the meals are absolutely delicious. Excellent value for money!

We stayed as a family of four, and the kids were thrilled—they’re already saying they want to come again in winter. The meals were delicious and more than we could finish, so we almost felt bad leaving any. Drinks were all-you-can-drink, and the ice-cold draft beer was fantastic. The kids also enjoyed making their own original drinks. We also loved being able to enjoy the free-flowing Onsen anytime, and went in many times. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t great so we couldn’t see the stars, but next time we’d like to come back specifically to enjoy the starry sky.

They allowed us to check in early, which meant we could enjoy multiple baths and relax at our own pace.

We stayed here with a large group in January. First of all, the traditional kura-style building is truly one of a kind. It has been beautifully renovated to suit modern needs while preserving the charm of classic Japanese architecture. It’s even more impressive in person than in photos, and you can really enjoy the building itself—perfect for anyone who loves architecture. The living room feels incredibly open, and even with a big group it never felt cramped. The kitchen was surprisingly spacious, and it was stocked with more than enough cookware and appliances. There was also a great variety of tableware, all stylish, which made cooking even more enjoyable. The dishwasher in particular was large and high-performance, making cleanup easy even for a big group. There are multiple bedrooms as well, so everyone can rest comfortably. This Accommodation is ideal for the purpose of “staying together as a large group and relaxing.” Overall it’s very spacious, so we could spend time there without feeling self-conscious. We only ordered breakfast, but it was simple Japanese food and very delicious. For lunch and dinner we arranged our own meals—buying ingredients at nearby supermarkets (Tsuruya and AEON are conveniently close) and cooking ourselves—and that became part of the fun of the stay. With such well-equipped facilities, this place is especially recommended for those who enjoy cooking. Even though it was cold around New Year’s, the inside was warm and comfortable. The separate hinoki bathhouse was amazing; you heat the indoor bath yourself, but the scent of hinoki wood and the atmosphere were truly relaxing. There is also another bath in the main house (with a modern tub), which you can use as well—and we appreciated the thoughtful touch of underfloor heating in the changing area there. We were highly satisfied with everything—the space, facilities, and overall atmosphere—and would love to visit again in a different season.

It was a Japanese-style Room. It was larger than expected, which made us happy. We had a lot of luggage for the kids, so the spacious Room was very helpful. Everyone was very kind, and the service was polite and excellent. Breakfast was delicious as well. The staff spoke kindly to the kids there too, and they were delighted. Thank you very much.

The Room was spacious, and I could use the Onsen anytime, so I was able to relax.
