This Accommodation has become more upscale in recent years and is now a bit of a splurge for me, so I visited this time to take advantage of a great deal. As always, the Onsen was wonderful, the meals were delicious, and the Room was spacious and very comfortable. I was also happy that you remembered my various requests from previous stays. Thank you to all the staff for your hospitality again—I’d love to visit again when I find another opportunity.

I stayed with my elderly mother, my niece who had returned from abroad, and my daughter. They were very kind and attentive to foreign guests, and they accommodated our food requests exactly as asked. We are truly grateful. Unfortunately, it rained heavily both days so we couldn’t do much sightseeing, but Hakone Shrine was within walking distance for a stroll. The next day the roads were closed and it was quite difficult, but the staff informed us early in the morning, which helped a lot and became a good memory for my nieces as well. I would definitely like to visit again.

It was a wonderful Accommodation. The Room size and the open-air bath were both just right for relaxing. The staff were also lovely, with the perfect sense of distance, and it was very soothing. I’m quite strict about cleanliness, but it was flawless. I’d love to stay again. For this price, the quality makes me want to come back.

This was our second stay, following last year. We stayed for two nights with four adults and our dog (a Yorkshire Terrier). The Room is spacious, so even a family of four can relax comfortably. The bedroom is also roomy—when we pushed the two beds together, there was still plenty of space for three people. The pet amenities were well stocked, and we had a very comfortable stay even with our dog. The kitchen is easy to use, and it’s convenient that almost everything you need is provided except seasonings. The refrigerator was pre-stocked with drinks such as wine, cup sake, craft beer, cider, and juice, as well as snacks and sweets—these thoughtful touches were much appreciated. One small disappointment was the coffee. Although there were four of us, there were only three coffee capsules; having one per person would be better. Also, we realized too late that coffee for the second day required advance request by the previous day, so we couldn’t receive it and ended up buying some from a vending machine. For a Multiple Night Stay, clearer guidance would be appreciated. The terrace feels private, and although it’s on the first floor, you can see Lake Ashi and the torii gate of Hakone Shrine through the trees—the location is excellent. Last year we noticed quite a lot of weeds in the garden area, but this time it was neatly maintained; we were happy to see that improvement. The terrace footbath was a bit too hot for us. Even at the lowest temperature setting it was still hot; we added water to adjust it but found it difficult to get just right. This may depend on the season and personal preference, but finer temperature control would be welcome. Once at a comfortable temperature, enjoying the footbath while feeling the evening breeze would be wonderful—and likely become one of our favorite moments unique to this Accommodation. The BBQ grill kept on the terrace is also easy to use, making casual BBQs another great feature. Overall, being able to spend time with family and our dog without worrying about others is what makes this place especially appealing. With well-equipped Facility features and amenities—and a relaxing atmosphere with Lake Ashi nearby—this is an Accommodation we’d love to return to again.

It had been a very long time since my last visit. The warm, homey atmosphere was just the same, and the Onsen water was as wonderful as ever. Lately I’ve mostly stayed at Accommodations with an Onsen in the Room, but I was reminded again how great Yunohana is—unchanged and truly special. I’ll be back again. The meals were delicious too.

The French cuisine here is delicious. The meat is especially tender and melts in your mouth. According to the sommelier, they put a great deal of effort into their meat dishes. The sommelier’s sense of humor made the experience even more enjoyable. I was able to buy butter from Oratche Farm! I’d be happy to see you again.

I’ve been staying here for over 20 years. Since retiring, I think I’ve been visiting a bit more often. I also enjoyed the renewed half-buffet breakfast. I’m planning to stay about two more times before the end of the year. As always, the staff were pleasant and welcoming, and I had a relaxing stay. Thank you very much. One request: while the croissants at the current half-buffet were delicious, I would be happy if you could also offer the larger ones you used to have.

The facilities, bath area, and Room were all clean and tidy, making for a very comfortable stay. There was a great variety of food we enjoyed, along with many kinds of alcohol and drinks—it felt like a luxurious Business Hotel. The staff were very kind, and check-in and payment were smooth. The weather wasn’t great, but it was still a fun golf trip. The misty garden had an almost magical atmosphere and was lovely too.

This was my first stay, and I was able to spend such a fulfilling time that it hardly felt like just one night and two days. From the warm welcome upon arrival, everything was handled with great care, and the staff’s heartfelt hospitality left a strong impression. Throughout my stay, they paid attention to even the smallest details, and their service remained wonderful all the way through to the farewell at departure. Rather than feeling formal or routine, it truly felt like they valued each guest as an individual. The Room had a calm atmosphere, and best of all was the open-air bath attached to it. The luxury of being able to soak in the Onsen slowly whenever I wanted was exceptional—it felt so good that I wanted to go in again and again. Enjoying the open-air bath while taking in the surrounding garden and nature helped me forget everyday fatigue. Each dish was prepared with great care, and I could enjoy not only the flavors but also the presentation and sense of seasonality. The meal itself became one of the highlights of my trip—it was that satisfying. The overall atmosphere of this Ryokan is also wonderful. It is quiet and relaxing, and simply being inside made me feel naturally at ease. Everything is well maintained down to the smallest details, making it a perfect space for enjoying an escape from everyday life. Although it was a short stay of one night and two days, by checkout I felt surprisingly refreshed both physically and mentally—I was able to truly recover from my fatigue. This is a Ryokan where you can honestly think, “I want to stay here again.” If you are looking for Accommodation in Hakone, I highly recommend staying here at least once.

We have four dogs, including a Golden Retriever and a Mameshiba, so we always stay in a villa with a private dog run. However, every time we’ve felt that something was always just slightly inconvenient—but RETONA was perfect. Since there’s a splash pond in the dog run, we thought we should bring towels, but there were towels right at the entrance, along with a water tank for dogs and bowls. We also received one complimentary drink per person from the vending machine at the dog-run entrance!! Thanks to that, our dogs were able to run around the spacious dog run to their hearts’ content and slept soundly at night. For dinner, since our dogs are always with us as usual, we assumed the food would end up getting cold—but each dish was served at just the right time: hot items while still hot and cold items while still cold. Everything was delicious—the soup and even the mango vegetable juice—and the appetizers were presented like an afternoon tea set: not only tasty but also beautifully arranged. Whenever we met any staff member, they greeted us with wonderful smiles, and they even helped carry our luggage upon arrival—which was truly helpful for our multi-dog household. The bath in our Room was very spacious as well, everything was spotless throughout, and above all we didn’t feel any drawbacks or inconvenience at all. We travel at least five or six times a year, and during long holidays we often stay about four nights. We would absolutely love to visit again. Thank you very much.

I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay. I was very happy to be upgraded to an available Room. Although the weather wasn’t great, I think the view from the balcony is the best at this Hotel. The staff were cheerful, and I had a wonderful stay. I would like to stay again next time.

We stayed with our 3-year-old child. Since we were in the LOCA THE CLASS Room, there was a sauna in the basement and a large bath that could fit about 4–5 people. Including the post-bath relaxation area, it was very spacious and thoughtfully designed. It was great that even with a child, we could bathe comfortably. There was also a refrigerator in the changing room, stocked with plenty of bottled water. It was very helpful to be able to drink cold water immediately after bathing or using the sauna without having to go up to the living room on the first floor. We didn’t use them, but there were also powdered drinks provided for before and after the sauna. The living room was spacious as well, and there were two bedrooms. The Japanese-style Room had a tatami area that became almost full once two futons were laid out, which made it feel safe and comfortable for our child at bedtime. On the other hand, there was one disappointing incident during our stay. Early in the morning, the fire alarm suddenly went off with a loud siren throughout the Accommodation. We were later told it was due to an accidental operation in another Room, but it took about an hour for security staff to check and reset everything. During that time, the alarm kept sounding continuously, so we evacuated with our child to a relatively quiet terrace. Afterward, an operator contacted us to confirm what had happened and asked whether we would still be able to make checkout on time. Since it overlapped with breakfast and getting ready in the morning, we explained it would be difficult and they extended our checkout by about 30 minutes. We appreciate their consideration; however, we had hoped to spend a relaxing morning (including enjoying another bath), so that part was unfortunate. I also saw other Reviews on different sites mentioning issues related to fire alarms. As it seems many guests come from overseas as well, I would appreciate it if you could consider measures to prevent recurrence—such as providing clearer instructions at check-in on how to handle fire alarms. Overall, both the Facility and Room itself were extremely comfortable—this is a wonderful Accommodation that is easy for families to enjoy.

The view from the Room was wonderful. We had a clear view of Lake Ashi and Mt. Fuji. The view from the main building’s Onsen was also great. All the staff welcomed us with warm smiles and provided pleasant service. We would love to stay again.

I’d been wanting to visit for a long time, and I was finally able to stay this time. Unfortunately, because of the rain there was no goat welcome, but I enjoyed a champagne welcome drink in the lobby and headed to my Room feeling excited. The Room was very spacious and impeccably clean, so I felt comfortable throughout my stay. The fog was quite heavy so the view wasn’t very clear, but I was told you can see Mt. Fuji on a clear day. I also really appreciated the complimentary free-flow drinks in the refrigerator. I requested refills of various items such as half bottles of champagne and water. The bath is an Onsen, with a faint sulfur scent and just the right temperature. It wasn’t an open-air bath, but opening the window made it feel wonderfully airy. It was also my first time staying in a Room with a sauna (with cold plunge), and it was a great experience—I worked up a good sweat and truly enjoyed it. Dinner was thoughtfully prepared across every dish and absolutely delicious! The wine pairing was excellent as well, and I had a wonderful time until the very end. For a late-night snack, we were served conger eel sushi—far beyond what you’d expect for “late-night,” truly authentic. I enjoyed it with another refill of champagne. For breakfast we chose in-Room dining; the pork miso soup was especially delicious, and being able to have seconds left me completely satisfied. Above all, the staff were courteous with just the right sense of distance while still being incredibly attentive—checking on drink replenishments in our Room and more—which made for an excellent stay. I would love to return for another stay. Thank you very much.

I had always thought that if I were to stay in Hakone, it would be at Suishoen, and my wish finally came true—I was able to visit at last! It was exactly the Accommodation I had imagined, and I could truly feel the high quality in every aspect, making for a very fulfilling stay. I was especially looking forward to the meals—not only were they delicious, but they were also a feast for the eyes. Both dinner and breakfast were wonderful. That said, the corn rice at dinner felt a bit overdone; I think simple corn would have been enough. The Room was more spacious than I expected and very relaxing, and I thoroughly enjoyed the bath with a footbath feature. Above all, the staff’s thoughtful hospitality was outstanding—this was an Accommodation where I felt truly comfortable.

From the moment we boarded the elevator to the Ryokan from in front of Sounzan Station, it was an exciting experience. The Accommodation and all the staff welcomed us with a warm atmosphere, and everything—the Room, the carefully prepared meals, the Onsen, and the views—was wonderfully soothing. We were able to spend a slow, quiet, luxurious time. Thank you very much.

From the front desk with a panoramic view of Hakone’s great natural scenery to the Room with a private open-air bath, everything was excellent! The food was also very satisfying. The incense service and drink service were plentiful and much appreciated. The staff were very kind as well. We’ll be back!

We stayed here for our silver wedding anniversary trip. Every meal was delicious!! The in-room open-air bath was wonderful, and we were able to relax in the Japanese-Western style Room, which we were very satisfied with! They even prepared a celebratory plate during dinner—it truly made for a happy one-night stay! Thank you very much. We were also happy that the drinks in the refrigerator were complimentary! We would love to stay here again when we visit Hakone!

We stayed here during my 7th month of pregnancy for a maternity trip. It was our first time staying in Gora, and while choosing among the many Accommodations, we decided based on the availability of an in-room open-air bath, Reviews of the food, and the high level of service—and it was absolutely the right choice. Every dish was delicious, and from check-in to check-out we had a truly comfortable experience. It was our last trip as a couple before welcoming our baby, and it became a very memorable journey. My husband also said that although he has stayed at many Accommodations before, this one left a particularly strong impression and he was very satisfied. We would definitely like to stay again.
