Thank you for your hospitality the other day. When I told you I can’t eat raw fish, thank you for preparing alternative dishes. The food looked great and tasted wonderful, and we also enjoyed the complimentary extra dish. The bath warmed me up so well that I stayed warm for a long time afterward. The detox water after the bath was also delicious. It was great to be offered a draft beer as a welcome drink at check-in—it was the perfect refreshing drink after a long drive. I would love to stay with you again.

The top-floor scenic bath was wonderful; the Onsen was very relaxing. It was great how the view changed between evening and morning. For dinner, since I’m not a fan of buffets, I chose the special kaiseki course. There were many dishes, and everything was delicious—from fresh fish to a tender filet steak. The Room was a modern twin, and the beds were spacious and comfortable. In the lobby there was a coffee machine, and it was nice that you could have as many cups as you liked during the available hours. If I visit Shodoshima again, I’d definitely like to stay here again.

I stayed for two nights as a solo traveler. The Hotel and my Room were very clean, and I was able to enjoy the Onsen and large public bath comfortably. Although it was all-inclusive, I chose to add a luxurious dinner and breakfast on both nights, and I was truly impressed that the menus were changed each day. The locally sourced ingredients were delicious, and in particular the olive-fed beef was tender and easy to eat even when well done. Even as a solo guest, the staff treated me warmly. The restaurant staff especially spoke with me with genuine smiles, creating a relaxed atmosphere that left me with wonderful memories of my trip. Thank you very much. The lounge I used after dinner was also very spacious with a great ambiance, and I was surprised by the wide variety of drinks available. They even served udon as a late-night snack, which really gave me a taste of Kagawa. I sincerely appreciate everyone’s warm hospitality. This is a Hotel I would love to stay at again when I visit Kagawa.

Because it was a three-day weekend right at the start of summer vacation, it ended up a little over our original budget—but we wanted to stay here so badly that we made the Reservation anyway. And once we actually stayed… it was worth every yen—no, even more than that. We had an absolutely wonderful time. The location was even better than expected: right in front of us were white sand and a blue sea. There were quite a few families and international guests, but at night it was very quiet. You can head straight to the beach from the Hotel, and everything was thoughtfully prepared—dedicated beach sandals, a washing machine, towels, and more. I also really appreciated that when you take off your slippers there, you can place them neatly into a shoe box labeled with your Room name—something I found especially reassuring as someone who’s a bit particular about cleanliness. The Room was truly spacious, spotless, and very functional. Everything felt refined from corner to corner—the washbasin, furnishings, wall colors, decorations—all beautifully coordinated and calming. A small detail, but the loungewear fabric was very soft and had buttons so it stayed in place comfortably. The semi-open-air bath in the guest room had excellent water quality and temperature. Being able to soak slowly while looking out at the ocean—with no insects flying around—was pure bliss. We enjoyed our in-room meals while chatting pleasantly with our attendant; everything was delicious. The simmered whole kinmedai (splendid alfonsino) was especially impressive—large and full of flavor—truly “this is Izu!” That said, personally I would have preferred beef as steak (even a small portion) rather than chilled shabu-shabu wrapped with vegetables. If many guests are older adults, it would be great if there were an option available even with an additional charge. Breakfast included many dishes as well—I ended up eating quite a lot first thing in the morning! Overall this Accommodation deserves high marks across the board; if I had to be strictly critical, dinner alone could have felt slightly more luxurious or surprising—something that makes you think “This is exceptional—I’ve never tasted anything like it.” Even so, it was such a wonderful Accommodation that I absolutely want to return again next year. We were happy to see the energetic Hokkaido dogs again—Miyon, Dan, and Dolly! This Accommodation was satisfying in every way, from the Onsen to the meals, and they even moved our “repeat guest” plaque to our 8th car. Thank you to all the staff for your consistently warm and attentive hospitality.

True to its name, the baths were excellent. The large public bath was spacious, and the open-air bath in the Room was a comfortable size, so we were able to fully enjoy the baths. The meals also offered a wide variety; we had rice with simmered golden eye snapper and left completely satisfied. The rice was especially delicious, and we ate more than we should have. We would love to stay again.

I stayed here for a Mt. Tsukuba hike. I really appreciated being able to pick up the ropeway discount tickets even before check-in. The Onsen after the hike was incredibly soothing. The bath area has been beautifully renovated, and the amenities (POLA) were excellent. The view of the Kanto Plain from the Room is stunning, and the night scenery is beautiful as well. When I woke up in the morning, everything was pure white—I enjoyed a morning bath surrounded by clouds and a delicious Japanese breakfast. It wasn’t clearly stated, but free drinks like coffee and apple juice were available, which was a pleasant surprise. Both the restaurant staff and front desk staff were very courteous and left a great impression. I’ll definitely stay again.

Thank you for taking such great care of us the other day. The Room and meals were excellent in every way. We were especially impressed by the all-crab feast. We were very satisfied with the many delicious dishes, including medium-fatty tuna (chutoro). We look forward to visiting again with our family to enjoy another Premium tour.

Stayed on March 6. The Room was spotless and very clean. Having a private open-air Onsen bath in the guest room was the best part. We were satisfied with both the quality and quantity of the meals, and it left a strong impression that the owner visited every table and explained everything so carefully, which showed how much passion they have for this Hotel. There was a power outage that night due to lightning, but the staff responded quickly and flawlessly. After power was restored, we were also glad to be able to see the laser message display. Finally, we even got to experience a seaside drive in a Rolls-Royce convertible, making it an extremely satisfying trip. We will definitely return.

This was our family’s first trip to Kushimoto. We made a Reservation for an ocean-view Room on a high floor, and we were lucky to have great weather—we even got to see a beautiful sunrise! The Room was very spacious, the bed was comfortable, and everything felt clean. The yukata fabric was sturdy and not see-through, and it had no odor at all (the highest compliment). I’m sensitive to smells—both unpleasant odors and strong detergent fragrances—so regardless of the Hotel’s grade I usually assume I won’t be able to use them, but this time I used the yukata a lot! Even though we chose an affordable Plan, dinner on the second night and breakfast on the third day were included as well, and we were surprised by the wide variety of dishes. Instead of bottled water in the Room, there was a water dispenser in the elevator hall (with hot water too), which we really appreciated. The bath area and changing room were also spacious, so we could truly relax. Bathing hours started early in the morning and ran late into the night, which gave us plenty of flexibility. We could adjust the air conditioning exactly as we liked—another reason it was such a comfortable stay. The staff members we passed in the hallways greeted us naturally, creating a refreshing atmosphere throughout. If I had to mention one thing: when using the Room slippers, I hesitated slightly wondering if they had been sanitized. At other Mercure properties I’ve stayed at before, this never crossed my mind. Because I made the Reservation at the last minute, only a larger Room was available, so I booked that one. It was a bit expensive, but I was satisfied with the Room. The Hotel itself is a little old, but it has been renovated and improved in various ways. The meals were well thought out and I was pleased. I would like to visit again when I have the chance.

I was able to relax in a clean, comfortable, and pleasantly spacious Room that was easy to use. Because it was a bit foggy, we couldn’t see much of the Kanto Plain, but we still enjoyed the in-room open-air Onsen bath. We usually eat dinner early, and we weren’t kept waiting—one delicious dish after another was served at just the right pace, with plenty of variety, and we were completely satisfied. It was my first time in Tsukuba, but it’s close to Tokyo, and we were able to see beautiful flowers at the perfect time—azaleas and mountain wisteria in bloom, and nemophila at full peak.
