The open-air bath was absolutely wonderful!! Breakfast—both Japanese and Western—offered a great variety of Gunma ingredients, and everything was delicious. I was especially impressed by the omelet made in the open kitchen; they customized the seasoning and sauce to my liking. Of course, it tasted great! Unfortunately, we weren’t blessed with good weather. The fog was so thick that we couldn’t enjoy the view from the Room or from the open-air bath, and I wasn’t able to see Mt. Asama or the surrounding mountain range I had been looking forward to—which was very disappointing. Perhaps because of the bad weather, there was a cute little teru-teru bozu placed in our Room, which really warmed my heart. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality. Here are a few things I noticed: It would have been nice if shower caps and hairbrushes were provided in the bathroom. I had breakfast by the window overlooking the golf course, but I noticed a spider web near the top of the window area. (There were quite a few on the outside as well.)

The Room was spacious, with three distinct areas—a bed area, a large couch sofa area, and a low sofa area—so I could relax in different spots and truly enjoy a leisurely stay in the Room. Every meal was delicious. The portions were very generous—more than I would usually be able

Thank you for taking such great care of us the other day. The Room and meals were excellent in every way. We were especially impressed by the all-crab feast. We were very satisfied with the many delicious dishes, including medium-fatty tuna (chutoro). We look forward to visiting again with our family to enjoy another Premium tour.

The open-air bath was relaxing. The room was chosen by the hotel, and I was grateful to be given a Japanese-style room with a view of Tsunoshima Bridge. The large windows and good weather allowed us to enjoy the beautiful sea and Tsunoshima Bridge. Although it was futon bedding o

What impressed us most was that during dinner they kindly guided us down to the shore to watch the vivid red sunset and took photos for us, creating unforgettable memories. Dinner was delicious and easy for us to enjoy. For breakfast, we were able to relax and take our time with

The Room was well stocked with amenities. The view was great. For dinner and breakfast, you can choose from a wide variety of options.

I thought the temaki sushi dinner was a really great idea. It looks like the kids would enjoy it too. The bath is also an Onsen, and my skin felt so smooth afterward. The view is outstanding!! It’s right in front of Sunset Beach. I hope I can come again...

I love this Hotel—being soothed by the familiar Japanese-style Room and the usual view of Lake Biwa. It was my first stay in two years, and various things had been simplified. Breakfast is very delicious, but there were so many guests that day that we were seated far away from the food. I think we waited over 20 minutes for the made-to-order omelet. Some foreign guests ended up leaving without waiting for their omelets. The smoothie, as always, was excellent. It was my first time seeing the planetarium, but I wondered if there were mites in the seats. After sitting for a while, both my spouse and I started itching on our arms and kept scratching. As with old movie theaters, I think pest control and insect prevention would be a good idea. As for the Room amenities, various items were provided in the washroom, but they were hard to see at a glance. This is one of my favorite Hotels, so I hope to see improvements in service going forward.

From check-in through meals, one attendant took care of us throughout, and we were able to spend our time comfortably. The food was delicious, and we were very satisfied with the in-Room bath and the sauna as well. The sake tasting in the storehouse was also a lot of fun. We also

During dinner, we were treated to a stunning sunset view that felt like an appetizer before the meal. The highlight of the cuisine was indulging in both grilled sea bream with salt and deep-fried whole sea bream—a truly luxurious experience. The friendly staff made our stay even

A separate vanity area would be a helpful addition. This stay allowed us to enjoy views of the sea and experience summer as we had hoped. Thank you very much for providing such a wonderful accommodation experience. Wishing your ryokan continued success and prosperity. We look fo

We called in advance to ask about the best spots to view the sunset and sunrise. Both were stunning. Watching the sparkling Shinkansen pass by from the first floor was enjoyable, and the lobby chairs overlooking the sea were very relaxing. The room was spacious, and we were hap

They kindly provided Shuttle Service for us as we were traveling by bus, and we also saw them speaking thoughtfully to other guests in many situations. We had a hard time choosing a Hotel on Sado Island, but we are truly glad we chose this one. Thanks to all of you, our trip to S

We were able to spend a relaxing time surrounded by nature. We are truly grateful and very satisfied with both the Onsen and the meals.

We stayed on the day of the summer fireworks festival. What we liked All of the staff were kind. They greeted us with warm smiles and calm, friendly service. Above all, the food was delicious! The “Koyoi Zen” dinner featured ingredients that make the most of this coastal area, along with local fruit—everything was very satisfying. You can order not only drinks but also additional dishes. The kids’ dinner was generous in portion size and packed with child-friendly favorites. Some Reviews mentioned that sweet shrimp wasn’t always available at the breakfast buffet, but it was there this time—unlimited fresh sweet shrimp was truly appreciated. Also, during the fireworks festival, they opened up the 7th floor for 500 yen including a drink, plus potato chips as a snack. We could watch the fireworks from great seats at a relaxed pace—it was fantastic! What could be improved The faucet in our Room had a crack, and water sprayed out from an unexpected place every time we turned it on, leaving everything around it soaked. In the large public bath, the partitions between washing stations were low, so you end up making eye contact with people next to you and water splashes over. Overall, there were so many positives that we could overlook these issues. Still, we would have been even more satisfied if the Facility had been a bit cleaner and better maintained. Highly recommended for visiting roadside stations in northern Hokkaido and for attending the Haboro fireworks festival!

We stayed here during a trip around the Izu Peninsula. This Accommodation has a nostalgic, retro Showa-era atmosphere, and we recommend booking a Room with an open-air bath. We were able to relax and enjoy the Onsen as many times as we liked.\n\nThe meals were excellent. Since the sea is nearby, we enjoyed delicious fish, spiny lobster, and steamed abalone. The drinks went down easily too, making it a memorable dinner. As someone over 60, I find buffet-style dining—having to go pick up dishes myself—a bit of a hassle, so I really appreciated being served at the table.\n\nIn addition to the bath in the Room, there are three private Onsen baths available for reservation, and we used them all. The spacious open-air bath is especially recommended.\n\nThe staff were kind and courteous as well—highly rated. If we have another chance to visit Nishi-Izu, we would like to stay here again.

I made a Reservation for my daughter’s birthday. We were warmly welcomed on arrival by car, and the experience began with a matcha tea service. The semi-private dining area for dinner was decorated for her birthday, and we truly appreciated the thoughtful touch. The meal was also delicious. We chose a Room with an open-air bath, but there were quite a few stink bugs, which was the only slight disappointment. Of course, insects are part of nature and can’t be helped, and overall we had a wonderful stay.

The Hotel is located due east of Lake Suwa. The main building has windows facing north and south, while the annex (Palace Wing) has windows facing east and west. Summer fireworks go up due north of the Hotel. If you are coming for the fireworks, it seems best to book a Room on the north side of the main building; if you want lake views and sunsets, a west-facing Room in the annex is recommended. (The “Floor Plan” on the Hotel’s official website is easy to understand.) Enter from the south side of the Hotel and head east into the large parking lot in front of the Hotel (south side). Leave your luggage with a bell person and park in an available space. Check in at reception. Your luggage will be taken to your Room on a cart. The Room is clean, stylish, bright, comfortable, and recently renovated. Along the large north-facing window there is a long counter and chairs. To the left you can see Lake Suwa; to the right, beyond the Japanese Red Cross hospital building, you can view Suwa town and the northern mountains. The night view is also beautiful. There is no view from the unit bath. At showtime, lights in buildings around town dim, and fireworks rise due north for about 10 minutes. There seems to be music as well, but it cannot be heard from inside the Room. The private bath “Anzu” is a scenic bath with a large window opening to the north. The private open-air bath “Karin” faces west but is screened by fencing for privacy. Both are spacious enough, have two washing stations each, and are clean. The Chinese cuisine is refined yet easy to enjoy. Most tables are families so it stays quiet, though there may occasionally be groups drinking loudly. The breakfast buffet is also excellent. There is a long counter on the west side where you can dine facing the lake as well (first come, first served). Breakfast hours are set generously long, and estimated busy times are posted as guidance. This Review rating reflects my personal impression assuming “3” means fair value for money at this price point.

But that’s only if I had to point something out—overall we were extremely satisfied!! We would definitely like to stay again. To the gentlemen and ladies in the dining area: thank you so much for arranging things so that we could take our meal back to our Room for our fussy c

We truly enjoyed time passing slowly and peacefully. Last time we had breakfast only, but this time we also had dinner; we were surprised by how much there was, but everything was delicious. Thank you very much. I don’t know when it will be next time, but when our family can all
