The three of us—my spouse, my sister, and I—had a relaxing stay. The Room was clean, and the Onsen was at a comfortable temperature, so we enjoyed soaking many times while looking out at the sea. The meals were all delicious, and even the grilled fish at breakfast was prepared in an easy-to-eat way. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent, and all three of us finished everything. Thank you very much.

We stayed here as a couple to celebrate a birthday. From the meals and baths to the Room amenities and Shuttle Service, everything was filled with hospitality, and they were flexible in accommodating our requests, making our stay truly enjoyable and happy. Some Accommodations offer inclusive bar drinks or well-equipped Rooms, but this place is on another level—we were able to enjoy an extraordinary sense of luxury. We would definitely love to visit again. Thank you very much!

Everything was always clean, and I had a very comfortable stay! All of the staff provided wonderful hospitality. This time, I chose the “Tajima Beef Colorful Kaiseki” course! They carefully explained each dish, which made it even more enjoyable. I was able to fully enjoy Kinosaki at night.

I stayed for a two-night Multiple Night Stay as a solo traveler at Asanoya in Yumura Onsen. From start to finish, everything was comfortable, and it truly became a wonderful stay. Onsen & Room: The Room was spacious, clean, and very relaxing—I was able to spend the two days as comfortably as if I were at home. The quality of the Onsen water was exceptional; each time I soaked in it, the silky water felt wonderful on my skin and soothed my fatigue from the core. Meals: Above all, I was most impressed by dinner each evening. The dishes made generous use of seasonal local ingredients, and every item reflected careful craftsmanship and attention to detail. The presentation was beautiful and enjoyable to look at as well. Not only were the flavors excellent, but everything—from the choice of tableware to the perfect timing of serving hot dishes while still hot—was outstanding, making each meal a truly blissful experience. They prepared different menus for both nights, so I looked forward to dinner every day. Hospitality: The staff’s thoughtful care and the warm service from the attendant who served my meals were wonderful. Even though I stayed alone, I never once felt lonely—instead, I enjoyed a luxurious yet heartwarming time. This is an Accommodation I would love to visit again in another season. I knew from the Reviews that this was a wonderful Ryokan, but it exceeded my expectations. The Onsen was charming both indoors and outdoors, and even the changing area was stylish. The meals were delicious—I ate too much. The Room had high ceilings and was spacious and spotless, with an amazing view from the window. Everywhere I looked—the Room, the Onsen, and throughout the Facility—everything was impeccably clean, and I felt it offered outstanding value for money. Thank you for taking care of us for two days. I will make another Reservation.

The Room, meals, Sea of Japan view, atmosphere, and the staff’s thoughtful hospitality—everything about this Accommodation was perfect. Warm, comforting touches were sprinkled throughout, making our stay truly happy. This is an Accommodation we would love to visit again when we have the chance.

From arrival to departure, the staff treated us with great care, and we had a very pleasant stay. The service was impeccable. The Room retains the charm of a traditional Japanese house while offering a calm, spacious layout for relaxing. In addition to the deck, there is also an area with a sofa where you can sit and take in the outdoor scenery at your leisure, which made it easy to unwind. Unfortunately, it rained quite heavily during our stay, so we couldn’t enjoy the deck as much as we had hoped. The Onsen was also wonderful—you can soak in free-flowing natural hot spring water whenever you like. The bathtub was spacious enough to relax and fully enjoy the Onsen. There is a separate shower room in front of the bathing area as well, which made it convenient to wash before getting into the tub. What left the strongest impression on us in particular was the cuisine. Fresh seafood was used generously, and every dish was absolutely delicious. Although we weren’t blessed with good weather this time and couldn’t see the sunset we had been looking forward to, we still thoroughly enjoyed simply spending time at this Accommodation. Being able to relax so comfortably even on a rainy day may be something unique to Ujo Soan. We were highly satisfied with everything—service, Room, Onsen, and meals—and it’s an Accommodation we would love to visit again.

This was my first stay here. The staff’s hospitality and attentiveness, the well-kept garden, the delicious meals, the atmosphere of the open-air bath, and even the adorable cats made it truly special. Everything was outstanding. I would love to visit again.

I visited Izushi to pay my respects at a family grave, and stayed at Nishimuraya Shogetsutei in Kinosaki Onsen for the first time in a while. The Room was spacious. At Kinosaki Onsen Station, there is a tourist center that can store your luggage and deliver it directly to the Hotel, so I was able to travel light—going to Toyooka and then on to Izushi. The Hotel’s bath was also spacious, and I could relax. I also enjoyed visiting the public baths; although it’s a bit far from the station, I appreciated that there is Shuttle Service available. Dinner was delicious as well. Breakfast was a buffet; I kept it light this time, but there was a great variety of options. Next time, I’d like to come back for crab. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

The Onsen water was silky and very pleasant. The meals were plentiful, well-seasoned, and delicious. I would definitely like to stay at this Accommodation again.

On August 7, with concerns about the impact of a strong typhoon, we headed to Kyotango—a trip we had been looking forward to for a long time. Due to my misunderstanding, I entered the entrance at 2:00 PM and found no one at the front desk. Of course—check-in starts at 3:00 PM. Even so, they assisted us right away and guided us to our Room in about 10 minutes. That was where I started causing trouble. I couldn’t wait for the dinner and breakfast that receive rave Reviews. Since we arrived early, I was also the first to use the large public bath. The view of the sea from the open-air bath was incredible. The right edge of the tub had a slope, so I assumed it was thoughtful design for children and elderly guests—but there was an identical slope on the left as well. Looking closer, I noticed the rim of the tub was curved: it was actually designed as a reclining bath. The slopes were made so you could lie back and still see the ocean. I enjoyed it alone, deeply impressed. Afterward, I had a canned beer and some complimentary sake (excellent) in the relaxation area and returned to our Room—then an accident happened: we received news of a death in our close family. After discussing with my wife, we decided to give up on breakfast we had been looking forward to. Since it took about 3 hours and 45 minutes on our way there, we asked at reception if we could leave early in the morning—and they kindly accommodated this as well. Dinner began while my mind was unsettled, but everything from the first appetizer onward was delicious, and my wife and I found ourselves exchanging smiles again and again. Partway through, we were guided outside to watch the sunset from the terrace—body, mind, and palate all completely satisfied. Despite our very early departure time, they even saw us off when we left. I was truly moved. We caused you so much inconvenience—thank you for giving us such an outstanding Accommodation experience.

The meals featured a variety of Japanese dishes centered on local seafood. Every dish was carefully prepared, and we enjoyed them very much. We stayed in a guest Room with an open-air bath. It was thoroughly cleaned and there was no smell of tobacco. The bathroom has a hinoki (cypress) bath with a pleasant aroma. There is also a door leading directly outside to the open-air bath. Outside the Room is a private garden with views of both the sea and the mountains. Although it was summer, there were no mosquitoes or other insects even at night. Because there are only a small number of guest Rooms, we were able to relax in a very calm atmosphere throughout the property. Notes: 1) Even some first-floor guest Rooms have about five steps. There are also about ten steps to reach the large public bath. Please keep this in mind if you have difficulty walking. 2) Regarding guest Rooms with an open-air bath: This will be explained by staff on the day, but the water temperature is very hot. Please check and adjust the temperature before undressing. 3) The private garden for each guest Room has a fence on the sea side, but part of it is not continuous. Beyond that point there is an approximately 3-meter slope down toward the sea. Please take extra care not to take your eyes off small children.

We stayed here as a couple during the Obon holidays. Even though it was the hottest time of midsummer, Tenkawa Village was wonderfully cool—a top summer retreat in Kansai where we could stay comfortable without using the Room air conditioner and without breaking a sweat. We had long admired the charm of Dorogawa Onsen and had wanted to stay there at least once, and choosing Hanaya Tokubei was absolutely the right decision. The whole town has a lovely atmosphere, but Tokubei stands out for its especially distinctive and tasteful building. Because there are few guest Rooms with private indoor baths in the area, we stayed in “Higashi no Tenku” with an indoor bath. The view is mostly of the courtyard, so if you are used to resort-style Onsen facilities it may not exceed expectations. Still, considering this is traditionally an Accommodation used by ascetics, we felt it was a true luxury and enjoyed it. The meals were delicious Japanese cuisine featuring plenty of local ingredients, with thoughtful touches throughout that kept our Multiple Night Stay from ever feeling repetitive. We were completely full but couldn’t bear to leave anything behind—and finished every last bite. Spending time on the veranda at dusk with a beer in hand while watching people pass by was simply wonderful. After sunset, strolling around the area in yukata is also great fun. Wherever you walk, the lantern lights feel magical, and Tokubei lends out portable lanterns as well. It was like stepping back into a period drama. There were also foreign staff members, and they were genuinely kind and attentive—we truly appreciated it. This is an Accommodation we would love to visit again. Highly recommended if you are sightseeing in Dorogawa Onsen.

The hospitality was outstanding. From check-in to check-out, the staff were consistently attentive. Especially at checkout, they even wiped the car windows. It had rained the night before, so the windows may have been dirty, but this was the first time anyone has ever done that for me—I was truly impressed. Both the quality and quantity of the meals were very satisfying. Dinner featured a duck hot pot as the main dish, along with plenty of extras such as sashimi and Kasumi crab (benizuwai crab). Everything was delicious. If I had to mention anything, it would be that the Ryokan’s bath is small and it’s a bit away from the center of town. Personally, I enjoyed walking around while exploring and visiting different public baths, and they also said they could drive guests there upon request. As for the small bath at the Ryokan, I think it works well if you make use of the public baths too while still enjoying what’s available on-site. I would definitely like to stay again. I found Sugatani Onsen while looking for an Accommodation where I could stay with my pet, without knowing the name beforehand. It was very comfortable. I brought pet pads, but if possible, I would like you to provide some spares. There is no need to lay out the futon during meals; I worry my dog might bark, so it makes me more concerned. The air conditioner noise felt a little loud. The meals were very delicious. It is a quiet location away from the crowds.

I finally made it to Kinosaki Onsen, a place I had been wanting to visit for a long time. The public bath hopping, the crab kaiseki dinner, and the charming streets were all wonderful. Above all, the warm hospitality from the staff made this a truly relaxing and comforting trip. Thank you very much. I would love to visit again when it’s snowing.

I chose this property based on a Review saying it was convenient for visiting the public baths. At the end of August, after the summer holidays when things were a bit quieter, they upgraded us from a standard Room to a Room with an open-air bath. I used the open-air bath twice, morning and night. It was quiet, and the breeze felt wonderful. The food was very delicious, but the main dish—seared Tajima beef—was a little tough and I couldn’t bite through it in one go, which was slightly disappointing. When I said I was full and couldn’t finish dessert, a staff member wrapped it and put it in the refrigerator for me. I enjoyed it later after my bath before bed. They also kindly explained things like tips for visiting the public baths and even sprayed deodorizer since in-room dining can leave lingering smells—everyone was very pleasant and attentive. The entire building is covered with tatami mats (even inside the elevator), and walking around barefoot felt great. The bath is small, but it was very clean, and there is also an open-air bath, so we enjoyed it 충분に. I would like to stay again if I have the chance. Thank you to all the staff we met for such a comfortable time.

The views from the window—an unmanned station and the sea—were beautiful, and we were able to relax at a leisurely pace. Every dish was delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed the crab and shrimp. The Accommodation was quiet throughout, with a soothing atmosphere that made time feel as if it were gently passing by, allowing us to forget everyday life and truly unwind. It’s an Accommodation I’d love to visit again in a different season.

Three of us (all women) stayed here. The staff’s hospitality was wonderful, and we felt very comfortable throughout our stay. The bath was also clean and lovely. The sound of the waves was soothing and relaxing. Both dinner and breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes, and we enjoyed chatting with the person who served our meals—everything impressed us from start to finish. If we come back to Yuhigaura again, we will definitely stay here again!

The building itself felt a bit old, and I noticed a slight odor inside, but the Onsen and seafood were truly outstanding. Since the large public bath alternates between men and women, I only used one side, but it was spacious and comfortable. The water left my skin smooth and moisturized—it felt amazing. There wasn’t a place inside the tub to sit (with about half your body out), so I couldn’t soak for too long, but the open-air bath had a great atmosphere and I could relax without worrying about others. Our Room came with a private open-air bath, and the tub was even larger than it looked in the photos—there was plenty of space for two people to stretch out comfortably. It might even fit around three people with ease. Best of all, it was free-flowing natural hot spring water, so fresh water kept pouring in continuously—it felt wonderfully luxurious and incredibly relaxing. The crab I’d been looking forward to was also delicious—I think it was my first time ever getting completely full from crab. I was very satisfied with the sashimi and the salmon at breakfast as well. Of course, the steak was also very juicy and tender... That said, it seems rice and miso soup at dinner were brought after we asked for them (I’m sorry—I must not have listened carefully because I was captivated by the beautiful crab right in front of me). By the time they arrived I was already quite full, so I wished I had requested them earlier. There were thoughtful touches throughout as well—like a footbath inside the property and self-serve coffee in the morning. Everyone at both the dining area and front desk greeted us with smiles and were very kind, so we felt comfortable throughout our stay; it ended up being a truly refreshing trip that helped us unwind. I would definitely like to stay again.
