A calm Accommodation in a quiet, secluded area with hardly any traffic noise, where you can truly feel time pass peacefully. The meals weren’t overly large and the number of dishes was modest, but each one was carefully prepared and delicious. It was an adult-oriented Accommodation where you can genuinely relax and unwind.

As a couple in our 40s, we visited to unwind and enjoy some quiet time away from everyday fatigue. We chose a Room with a balcony so we could relax and watch the sky… but across from us, the torn shoji screens of what seemed to be a Hotel that is no longer operating were visible… at night it felt a bit like a test of courage, so we couldn’t go out… lol. Other than that, the food and baths were wonderful, and there was absolutely no sense of crowds—choosing this small Accommodation was exactly the right decision. After dinner, we went to the riverside about a 5-minute walk away, and it happened to be firefly season. We were both thrilled to see real fireflies for the first time…! The whole village was quiet, and compared with Tokyo it was cool in the mornings and evenings. In the morning we enjoyed a gentle-on-the-body, delicious breakfast. We truly felt refreshed from the bottom of our hearts. This is an Accommodation we definitely want to visit again. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

We stayed as a couple with our 0-year-old baby. From check-in, they took a photo of the three of us and provided toys for our child. At dinner, our child got sleepy, and when we asked for a floor cushion, they kindly brought one right away. During the koto performance, they even played children’s songs, and our daughter seemed to really enjoy it. Traveling with a child can be challenging from the very start when choosing an Accommodation, but everyone was truly kind to us. Thanks to them, we had a wonderful time. Thank you very much.

The cuisine, Room, Onsen, and service were all excellent. It truly made us want to come back! At the end of our summer vacation, we made wonderful memories here and felt motivated to work hard again. We have stayed at other Accommodations in Ikaho several times, but Kogure is the best. Please continue your warm hospitality and bring comfort to many more guests.

This was our first stay with my husband, a friend, and two dogs. The Room was spacious, and although it rained both nights, we were able to relax and take it easy. The dog run was covered with wood chips, so our dogs’ paws didn’t get muddy. Having a free-flowing hot spring bath in each villa was very appealing, and my Onsen-loving husband took many baths and was very satisfied. This time we chose the No Meals Included plan, but we bought cheese and bread from the shops introduced in the in-room guide for this Accommodation, and everything was delicious. We’ve been talking about staying for three nights next time. We’re looking forward to staying again. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

We stayed to celebrate a birthday. The Shuttle Service between the nearest station and the Hotel for both arrival and departure was extremely helpful, and we truly appreciated the driver’s hospitality. We were very satisfied with the Room and the private bath, the meals were delicious, and all of the staff were warm and welcoming, allowing us to relax at ease. We would love to visit again in a different season. Thank you very much.

Despite the long spell of autumn rain, we were blessed with sunshine and were able to relax while taking in the view from our room—blue skies with white clouds, the sea and horizon—and being soothed by the sound of the waves. The hot springs left my skin smooth and moisturized and warmed me through to the core, and the rooftop open-air bath was amazing with beautiful stars overhead. The food was delicious as well. With a focus on local vegetables, fish, and carefully selected ingredients, every homemade dish was wonderful. It even made me ask if you serve lunch too… but you don’t (which is understandable), so that’s a shame. All the more reason to come back! While parts of the building do show their age, it has been renovated beautifully; using single-slab wood pieces and driftwood throughout gave it a retro, calming atmosphere with great attention to detail. In every way, this was an outstanding place to stay. I will definitely return. Thank you very much.

We stay here every August with my three sisters’ families. This year we were lucky with the weather and had a great time in the pool, enjoyed table tennis, and both my daughter and grandchildren were very satisfied. They also prepared a private dining room for dinner, so we could eat without worrying even when our 2-year-old grandchild was running around. Of course, the food was delicious. All of the staff were very kind, and we are especially grateful for the service at dinner. We plan to stay again next year.

Above all, the milky-white free-flowing Onsen from the source was outstanding, and soaking at a leisurely pace felt truly luxurious. This was our first stay as a couple. The Hotel is attached to a golf course and is a little away from central Nasu, but both my wife and I were completely satisfied. We enjoyed the warm hospitality from everyone at the Hotel, wonderful cuisine, a private hot spring source that warmed us through to the core, and spacious, clean Rooms—everything we could have asked for. At departure, clean wipes were prepared for us, and our car windows ended up sparkling. We sincerely thank all of the staff. It has been a while since we experienced such truly professional hospitality—we were genuinely moved. Thank you very much.

I stayed solo and booked the “Tochigi Beef Sirloin Steak Course.” [Entrance & Lobby] It seems to have been renovated, with a bright and stylish atmosphere. [Front Desk] The staff provided clear, courteous explanations, and check-in was smooth. [Room] Spacious and comfortable. The futon was already laid out, which was great because I could lie down right after arriving. Since my Room was on the 5th floor, the view from the window felt open and refreshing. However, there was no bath in the Room, so I couldn’t wash and hang my rainwear after hiking, which was a bit disappointing. [Baths] The service allowing 30 minutes free use of a private open-air bath was excellent. The large public bath feels a bit dated but has a pleasant atmosphere. Note that there is no outdoor bath. [Meals] Dinner service was timely, and the staff were attentive. The menu said “ochazuke or soba,” but plain rice was also available. The Tochigi beef sirloin was tender and very delicious. Salt, wasabi, ponzu sauce, and other condiments were provided so I could enjoy different flavors. I was also happy they had my favorite sake, “Houou Biden.” For breakfast, I appreciated that it wasn’t a typical buffet but served in a kaiseki style. After checkout I realized I had left a shirt in my Room; when I contacted them, they shipped it to me cash on delivery the next day. Their quick response really helped—thank you very much. Overall, this is a highly satisfying Hotel that I can confidently recommend.

Located about an hour from Shinjuku and easy to reach, yet once you step inside, a beautiful, nature-filled garden unfolds and makes you forget everyday life in an instant. The Room was also wonderful—said to be a favorite of Hayao Miyazaki—with thoughtful details throughout, from the view from the round in-room bath to the uniquely textured corridors, creating a truly charming atmosphere. From arrival to departure, the staff’s warm hospitality and attentive care made our family feel completely at ease, allowing us to spend a very comfortable and happy time.

We were very satisfied. The in-room hot spring bath was so spacious it felt almost too luxurious for one person. After dinner, we used the large public bath and were able to relax and enjoy a comfortable time. Dinner was teppanyaki, and not only was the food delicious, but the chef’s conversation and performance made it truly enjoyable—we were completely satisfied. Breakfast was also delicious. All of the staff were very kind, and we had a wonderful two-day stay. Thank you very much.

The staff were very kind and attentive. Both the room and the entire property were clean, making for a very comfortable stay. I also enjoyed spending quiet, relaxing time at both the baths and the restaurant. I slept very well! I’m looking forward to enjoying fresh seafood that you can’t experience in Tokyo. With a variety of dining plans available, I’m excited to try different options.

The riverside open-air bath was closed, but we used the outdoor Onsen reached by going down 300 steps. The staircase is so narrow that only one person can pass at a time. We were told it’s open until 11:00 p.m., but we were worried about our footing at night, so we went in the evening and again in the morning. While soaking, we enjoyed the river’s flow and the mountains, listening to the sound of the water. The stairs were tough, but I truly felt glad we came. The semi-open-air bath down about 20 steps was also wonderful, with a clear view of the mountains right in front of you. The temperature was perfect for me. I didn’t expect much from the indoor bath, but it had large windows and felt very pleasant; there was a jacuzzi, a reclining bath, and a hotter pool where we could relax comfortably. Everyone at the Accommodation was very kind and welcoming. Dinner came in many small dishes. The beef and the meatballs in the hot pot were delicious. Even simple items like the beef sauce, hot-pot broth, and pickles were all excellent. The portions were just right for us as a couple. I think you need to be fairly fit to visit an outdoor Onsen that requires going down 300 steps—but I’m really glad we did. This isn’t about the Accommodation itself, but both the bus driver from Nasushiobara Station and the person at Shiobara Onsen Terminal who explained a map of Shiobara Onsen were incredibly friendly, which made our memories of this trip even better. Because we were visiting DisneySea in midsummer with two young grandchildren, we entered the park at a relaxed pace with an After 5 ticket. I had hoped to have lunch at “La La Italiana” inside the Hotel, but it was fully booked even on a weekday, which showed how popular it is. Since I really wanted to try it, I made a Reservation for lunch the next day. We checked in at 3:00 PM and took a short break before heading to DisneySea. There were frequent shuttle buses from the Hotel to the park, which was very convenient. Being able to borrow a stroller also greatly reduced the burden of getting around with our suitcases, and it helped us a lot. The 56 m² Room felt spacious, and the view from the 19th floor was great. The bathroom had an outside view and there was also a separate shower room. Because we reserved a Room with ReFa products, one shower head was ReFa and the other could switch to a tornado-style water flow—both were comfortable to use. After returning from the park, it was also helpful that we could use the Onsen “Hohoemi-no-Yu,” where our family could bathe one after another without hassle. For breakfast, they prepared seating for us on the 22nd floor so we could enjoy the view while having delicious food. The menu ranged from classics to gentle options for early mornings such as seafood rice porridge, as well as dashi chazuke where you can top rice with items like mentaiko or shiokara and pour broth over it—everything was excellent. The other dishes were mildly seasoned too, and I was happy they also offered a limited-time acai smoothie. I visited La La Italiana—which I had wanted to try after reading Reviews—after breakfast hours when it still wasn’t very quiet inside, but every dish was delicious. The prosciutto in particular had a mild saltiness that suited my taste perfectly. It was also great to drizzle honey over their cream (made by combining fresh cream and butter) and spread it on moist focaccia. The homemade salad dressing was tasty as well, making this an overall highly satisfying meal. Overall, this is a great-value Hotel where everything—from Facilities and dining to service—felt comfortable, and our family truly enjoyed our stay.

I was surprised to find someone waiting to welcome us at the entrance when we arrived by car. We were greeted by the scent of lilies, and while waiting our turn for check-in, my husband quickly started enjoying a beer. Our Room was on the 3rd floor and felt more spacious than expected. The tatami flooring made it very comfortable. The view from the window was wonderful, and we kept it open for a while just to enjoy it. The amenities were well stocked, and we didn’t feel any inconvenience. One thing I noticed was that there was quite a large step up into the in-room toilet, which made me a little worried about tripping if I got up during the night. What stood out most was the wide variety of dishes at dinner. The boat platter we reserved was extremely fresh, and the sushi prepared right in front of us was delicious as well. I love grilled seafood, and I went back for it twice. The steak was also excellent. We couldn’t possibly try everything—of course there wasn’t any room left for late-night ramen, so I’d like to have that next time (laugh). We made our Reservation to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and they surprised us by bringing dessert and taking photos for us—it became a truly happy memory. Breakfast was also buffet-style. In the morning, I made my own seafood rice bowl and enjoyed it very much. The freshly cooked French toast was delicious too. There were so many dishes that we couldn’t finish them all—it was a one-night stay filled with food that delighted both our eyes and taste buds. Lastly, thank you from the bottom of my heart to all the staff who always greeted us with smiles—we had a very pleasant stay at your Accommodation. We will visit again.

Our family of three stayed here. The guest room with an open-air bath had an amazing view of the trees through the window. The meals were delicious, and we loved the post-bath ice pops, late-night inari sushi, morning coffee service, board games, and the excellent loan services such as a rotating hair dryer and a NanoCare hair dryer. It was relaxing and quiet, and we were able to unwind from everyday fatigue. The Onsen water was also wonderful. Highly recommended Accommodation.

The building was simply wonderful. We stayed in the detached Room “Gion” with an open-air bath, and it was very spacious with high ceilings; the dark brown beams and pillars gave it a charming atmosphere. There were two semi-double beds, and they were fluffy and very comfortable. The in-room open-air bath was spacious and amazing (the view would likely be especially beautiful in late autumn or when it’s snowy—though getting there might be a bit challenging). Dinner was also very delicious.

This was an Accommodation I had been interested in for some time. The hot water was pleasantly warm, so I could soak and relax at length. The meals were excellent, and I also ordered grilled sesame tofu as an extra. It was exquisite. Overall, the service was very good, and I would like to visit again.
