It was the best stay. The hospitality was better than any Hotel I have stayed at, and the staff were truly wonderful. We enjoyed hearing various stories during the Shuttle Service ride. We were completely satisfied with everything—the Room, amenities, and minibar. The view from the Room was absolutely breathtaking, and we were able to spend a truly happy day. Of course, the food was also very satisfying. The main dishes—venison and sweetfish—were incredibly delicious and made us want to come back again.

I had a wonderfully relaxing stay at a comfortable pace. It was quiet and spotless throughout, and the Onsen was incredibly open and wonderful. Every meal was deeply delicious. The staff were also very pleasant and welcoming. I feel as if both my body and mind have been refreshed. I can hardly believe how reasonably priced it is. Thank you very much. I will definitely return.

It had been a while since my last stay at Ochiairo, and I was truly moved by how wonderful the dinner was. From fresh sweetfish tempura and eel sushi to game fowl soup, thick shiitake mushrooms, crispy cutlassfish, and seasoned somen served in an ice bowl with nori—each dish was exceptional. The Onsen was also very enjoyable, with gentle mildly alkaline water. I especially appreciated the wide selection of drinks available not only in the lounge but also in the Room refrigerator and even by the bath area—such thoughtful care to prevent dehydration. Finally, at checkout we received a coupon booklet for the Shuzenji Toll Road. This has been a long-standing service, but I was impressed again by such attentive hospitality. It is an inconvenient road where ETC cannot be used for some reason, so this was very helpful. I would love to stay at Ochiairo again to relax—everything from the Onsen and meals to the service is outstanding.

I was finally able to stay at Akazawa Guest House, a place I had long wanted to visit, this time together with my son and his wife. The Accommodation is beautiful from the outside, but once you step inside, you’re amazed to see platinum used throughout the walls and other details. It’s a stunning space with meticulous attention paid to every element. The pampas grass in the courtyard was especially memorable, and we were able to relax and enjoy a peaceful time away from everyday life while feeling the charm of the season. Everything—the Room, the meals, and the atmosphere throughout the property—was wonderful, of course. But what stayed with me most was the warm hospitality of all the staff. My daughter-in-law is pregnant, and they kindly accommodated our requests in advance with great care. They prepared extra pillows in our Room and thoughtfully adjusted aspects of our meals as well, which we truly appreciated. In particular, the staff member who served our meals had such a lovely smile. Their service was both attentive and genuinely warm, which made us feel very at ease. The staff member who took photos for us also went beyond what we asked for and discreetly looked out for us so we could enjoy ourselves—an act of consideration that made us very happy. It’s certainly an exceptional space filled with luxury, but even more than that, I felt that the thoughtful and heartfelt hospitality of everyone working there makes this Accommodation even more special. I’m truly glad we were able to spend such precious family time at Akazawa Guest House. On our way home, my son and his wife said together, “Let’s come back again.” Thank you very much for giving us such a wonderful time that will stay in our hearts. We would love to visit again.

Simply the best. The staff’s professionalism, service, Room, meals, and architecture—everything was outstanding, and it made for a truly satisfying stay. The fittings were beautifully maintained, and it was fun just walking around and taking in the Facility. The amenities were well stocked, and the minibar was exceptionally well supplied, making for a wonderful time. And above all, the food was incredible—both dinner and breakfast were a perfect 10/10. Great care is also put into the desserts, which were delicious. A place I definitely want to return to.

We stayed here for an anniversary trip. The Room was bright and pleasant, making it a very comfortable space. From the warm welcome to our departure, all the staff provided consistently thoughtful and attentive service throughout our stay, and we were impressed from start to finish. The Onsen was wonderful as well, and we enjoyed it many times. It left both our skin and hair feeling cared for and silky smooth. The meals—and the way they were served—were outstanding, and everything tasted exceptional. The tableware was beautiful too; we couldn’t help but feel the chef’s dedication in every detail. Thanks to you, we had a truly enjoyable dining experience. We’re also deeply grateful for the lovely photos you took—they mean so much to us and will be treasured keepsakes. It was a relaxing experience surrounded by magnificent nature, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. At reception, healing music plays as background music, and together with the scenery it creates a wonderfully out-of-the-ordinary atmosphere. The open-air bath attached to the Room, the meals (for dinner we enjoyed sashimi, meat, salt-grilled ayu, and more; for breakfast we had a Japanese-style meal), and the service were all flawless—5 stars. We will definitely visit again!

We had the pleasure of enjoying the private dinner Plan at Soro Residence. The cuisine was not only delicious, but each dish was beautifully presented like a work of art. The flowers arranged to match the dishes and the floral decorations throughout the Room were truly wonderful, creating a special space that felt extraordinary. The wine pairing was also exceptional—each time we paired a sip of wine after a bite, both were elevated, and we were repeatedly moved by how much the flavors opened up. In addition, all staff provided warm and attentive hospitality from start to finish, allowing us to spend a comfortable and luxurious time. Thank you very much for an unforgettable experience.

Thank you very much for your thoughtful hospitality. You even prepared matcha for us, and we enjoyed it very much. The Room and bathroom were clean, and we had a very comfortable stay. The view from the Room was wonderful—we were moved to be able to take in the sea, mountains, and sunrise all at once, accompanied by birdsong. This is a historic Accommodation, yet the staff are full of energy, and operations from check-in to check-out are efficient with no wasted time. The seasonal cuisine is truly delicious, and getting to the various baths is an adventure—through maze-like corridors and, in some areas, even across a suspension bridge. It’s packed with excitement! You can have a wonderful stay just at Kikuya alone, making it an Accommodation you’ll want to visit again and again. Both check-in and check-out are well designed and smooth, so there’s no waiting—excellent! Thank you very much for taking such great care of us again.

Thank you very much for taking such great care of us. The open-air bath and toilet in the Room were very clean, and we had a comfortable stay. We were also surprised that even the indoor bath was an Onsen. As we traveled with our grandchild, the pool was wonderful and our grandchild was delighted. Since this time was only a one-night stay, everyone was very disappointed, and we are thinking of staying longer next year. Although one of us became unwell, thank you sincerely for your attentive support. The Facility is new, yet it is a wonderful Accommodation that preserves traditional Japanese hospitality and service.

Even before our visit, you kindly and attentively accommodated our requests, such as providing a floor chair and securing parking. Not only were the Room and each Facility wonderful, but the hospitality of the staff was also outstanding. Despite it being during the summer vacation season, we were able to spend a calm and relaxing time far from the crowds, and even my usually picky wife kept saying, “I want to come back here again.” Thank you very much.

I would like to stay again. This is an accommodation I would recommend to my friends. It was very relaxing.

[Room] The Room was very spacious and clean. There were five of us (two adults and three children), and we stayed very comfortably. There were two beds, and we laid out three futons in the open space, but there was still plenty of room. Amenities were available in the lobby for guests to take what they needed, and it was nice that we could also take tea, coffee, and even snacks—not just toiletries. [Service] All staff members were friendly and helpful with a smile. We also appreciated them carrying our luggage from the car at the entrance. The dining staff were energetic and efficient, quickly clearing empty plates. [Baths] The large public bath and open-air bath were very spacious and relaxing. You could also choose from different shampoos. There were seven types of private family baths, and my wife and kids tried several of them. Best of all, all seven types can be used for free when available—amazing! It didn’t seem overly crowded either. The water in the cold-water dispenser in the public bath area didn’t feel very cold. I wanted to use the massage chairs, but they were often busy so it was hard to get a turn. Also, the foot area on the massage chairs was dirty and felt a bit unhygienic. It would be great if this could be checked regularly. [Meals] The buffet had a wide variety of options and everything was delicious. You could make your own seafood rice bowl with sashimi, which was especially tasty. Thoughtful touches like buffet carts and elastic bands to keep yukata sleeves out of the way were wonderful. [Facility & Equipment] The entire Facility was extremely clean. All floors are shoes-off areas, but walking barefoot never felt uncomfortable at all. We also appreciated that socks for indoor use were included in the Room towel set—a nice touch. You can choose between yukata or samue loungewear; many guests wore samue, including our family. Free welcome drinks and complimentary ice cream after bathing made everything feel wonderfully generous. There are plenty of kid-friendly areas such as a play space, a family game corner, table tennis, etc., so our children had an absolute blast.

Both the building and the garden are beautifully maintained—truly an Accommodation worthy of its status as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property. At Tenpyo-no-Yu, we were able to relax and enjoy the Onsen while watching the carp. The cuisine may be creative, but in a way it felt fairly ordinary; despite the excellent wasabi served alongside, I didn’t feel the menu was designed to pair well with it. Perhaps because it had to be carried a long distance, some hot dishes arrived cooled, and there were so many items that we ended up leaving some, which was a bit disappointing. I thought it might be nice to have an upgraded course with smaller portions. There are many stairs, so it may be challenging for guests with limited mobility.

The front desk staff were very pleasant, and their explanation of the Room was clear and helpful. The Room and the open-air bath had a wonderful atmosphere, making it a relaxing and calming day. This has become my favorite Accommodation, and I’d love to come back for another leisurely stay!

This was our first time visiting on a family trip. Thanks to the staff’s heartfelt hospitality, we felt comfortable throughout our stay and are truly grateful. I planned this trip as a surprise getaway for my friends and chose this Ryokan. We selected the entire-floor Room on the 5th floor, and it was absolutely the right choice. There were three open-air baths in the Room, and it was very spacious—my friends were truly amazed. So much food was served that we couldn’t finish it, and we almost felt bad about it. It was a truly luxurious trip, and we were very satisfied.
