Thank you very much for taking such wonderful care of us the other day. The tea and sweets you gave us as we were leaving were absolutely delicious, and my husband and I went home extremely satisfied. This trip was to celebrate our wedding anniversary a little early. It became a truly special memory. Now that our children are independent, we’ve stayed at several places where we could comfortably travel with just the two of us and our dog, but the meals at Belle Equipe were in a class of their own! They were the best French dishes we have ever had—regardless of travel! We also truly appreciated how comfortable our stay was, and we are very grateful for the lovely gifts as well. Thank you so much! We can’t visit often, but we would love to stay with you again. When we do, we look forward to seeing you again.

This is my favorite regular inn—my go-to place to reset both mind and body. This time again, the dinner I had been looking forward to was far beyond my expectations. The upgraded local fish sashimi was unbelievably fresh! I was especially happy that it included two rare types of local white fish: “Hoki-hata” and “Hige-dara.” The pleasant springy texture and rich umami of the Hoki-hata, and the refined, deep sweetness of the Hige-dara—I took my time savoring these special flavors that you can only encounter at this inn. The handwritten note listing the fish varieties also conveyed such warm hospitality. The napa cabbage macaroni gratin was outstanding—the homemade-from-scratch white sauce was perfectly balanced. Rich yet light with a gentle finish, it brought out the natural sweetness of the vegetables, and I couldn’t stop eating. The Izu seaweed soup also felt like it gently soaked into every part of my body. I feel fulfilled from within by the delicious food, then healed from without by the free-flowing natural hot spring water and suina massage therapy. Once you experience this luxurious private space, you truly become hooked. I left fully recharged once again—and I’ll be back for another boost!

The food and hospitality were outstanding. Adding Izu sweetfish to dinner was absolutely the right choice. All of the other dishes were also delicious. The butler’s hospitality was exceptional—they even put together a helpful list of recommended nearby lunch spots by category, complete with QR codes. Overall, it was a highly satisfying stay. Thank you very much!

This is my favorite Accommodation: the well-maintained interior always helps me feel refreshed both body and mind in the Room’s open-air bath, and I can enjoy a French course dinner in casual attire. I will definitely stay again.

I visited to experience an auberge.\nThe food was wonderful, and the service was kind and welcoming, making my stay warm and comfortable.\nI would definitely like to come again.

This was our second stay, and even though we arrived nearly two hours later than planned, thank you very much for welcoming us so kindly. Both the Room and the bath were very clean. We were a bit concerned about mosquitoes given the season, but effective measures with a wonderful fragrance were in place, so we felt completely at ease throughout our stay. The sound system in the loft theater room was excellent—it truly felt like being in a movie theater. We were also shown to a private dining room, which allowed us to relax and enjoy the delicious food at our own pace, almost like in-Room dining. All of the staff were courteous from start to finish, and we had a truly wonderful time. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much for everything.

The antique-style room, the open-air bath, and the in-room dining were all truly wonderful! The service was very pleasant, and I’d love to come back for a discreet getaway with my partner. I ended up using the open-air bath about five times in one day (haha). Absolutely amazing!

In-room dining and a private open-air bath in the Room made it a completely private space. The meals were delicious. This Accommodation was great for families with small children, as you can relax and enjoy your stay without worrying about others. It was a bit difficult to do makeup, so having a handheld mirror would be helpful.

From the warm welcome to the heartfelt send-off, we truly enjoyed a wonderfully pleasant stay. The staff’s thoughtful hospitality was outstanding. The room, the in-room bath, and the private open-air bath were all excellent. The chef’s homemade sweets were delicious. Both dinner and breakfast exceeded our expectations, leaving us feeling truly happy—we’ll be savoring the memories for a while. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

A sisters’ trip from Kanagawa to Izu. We stayed at Homare no Hikari, a Hotel with a calm atmosphere. Both the Room and the cuisine were wonderful, and we were very satisfied. We heard that the menu changes by season, so we would definitely like to stay again. Highly recommended Hotel. Thank you very much.

I stayed here during a temporary return to Japan from overseas. It’s a wonderful property surrounded by nature. The staff’s hospitality, the room, the bath, and the meals were all excellent, and I was able to truly relax for the first time in a while—it was a very comfortable stay. We even had a surprise visit from squirrels on the terrace. Highly recommended, and I’d love to visit again.

The location was excellent, and the views of Sanshiro Island and Suruga Bay from the Room, the bath, and the lobby were amazing. There were complimentary drinks and tokoroten available in the free lobby, and the private family bath was open—everything could be used without a Reservation. The night view from the rooftop was also wonderful, and we enjoyed it like a vacation home. The staff service was outstanding as well. We would love to stay again.

We were blessed with great weather this time, and the view from the in-room semi-open-air bath was wonderful. The Onsen may feel a little lukewarm, but it keeps you warm for a long time. We heard the meals had just been updated with new offerings, and everything was delicious. With all amenities provided, this Accommodation is truly appreciated for allowing us to visit lightly and casually. We would love to return again in different seasons. Thank you very much again for this stay.

We’re repeat guests for the cats, delicious food, and the cozy comfort of having everything you need right in the Room. This time my husband came with us too. The kids were thrilled with the maisonette and the open-air bath. We also love the skincare amenities such as lotion—they’re from a brand we like. We were so happy to finally spend time with the cats again. Since this was our first summer stay, we were told, “You might find stag beetles on the balcony,” and there were so many (surprisingly)! We took some home and are taking good care of them. Thank you for all your thoughtful consideration. Dinner was served at perfect timing—hot dishes hot and cold dishes cold—and my husband really enjoyed how delicious everything was. For breakfast we chose Japanese this time; the clay-pot rice selected by a rice meister was outstanding. Our child asked for seconds again and again. Everything was perfect except that the children’s pajamas we borrowed felt smaller than expected for their size. Thank you as always for your warm welcome—it made for an amazing start to our summer vacation. We’d love to come back again.

Once again, I was very satisfied with the cuisine, the Room, and the service, and had a wonderfully relaxing stay. Dinner in particular was excellent and truly outstanding, including the salt-grilled ayu we ordered separately. One request: drinks in the lobby lounge end at 7:00 PM, but it would be appreciated if guests could have a drink after dinner, so I would be grateful if you could consider staying open until around 9:00 PM. In any case, I would like to visit again in a different season and look forward to enjoying your delicious food and sake. Thank you for your hospitality.

I visited with my 16-year-old Shiba Inu. With a private open-air hot spring bath with free-flowing water, a private dog run, and delicious meals, it had everything we could ask for and we were able to relax completely. The outdoor dog run and the path leading to it are neatly maintained with wood chips, and everyone at the inn was very kind to our dog—it was a wonderful, truly dog-friendly place to stay.

I made a Reservation the day before my stay after reading the reviews. It was No Meals Included, but the service and atmosphere were great—this was a wonderful Hotel just as described. There is parking, and it’s fairly close to the station, so I recommend it. If I have the chance to visit again, I will definitely stay here. To all the staff, thank you for providing such a comfortable space.

This was my second stay, following my visit in July. Perhaps because of that, the owner seemed more relaxed than last time, and I felt we were able to connect a little more. In my previous Review, I wrote things like how it didn’t feel like the cats were the type you could constantly pet, and that one of them seemed unhappy when we took photos. I got the impression the owner may have been a bit concerned about those comments. However, what I really meant was that this Accommodation is worth visiting not for the cats, but for the food—so if it came across as a negative Review, I truly apologize. This time, Candy looked very pleased when I petted her around her neck and chin, and Mew repeatedly showed off catching food in her mouth. I felt we became friendlier than last time. Cats are naturally moody—and just like people, there are times when they’re not in the mood. Since taste is subjective, it might be clearer for first-time guests if you highlight “cute cats” rather than focusing too much on the cuisine. Personally though, I think of this place as: amazing food first, plus the bonus of meeting adorable cats—so honestly, I would come even if there were no cats. This time I added breakfast as well. The homemade dressing was delicious; the miso soup had a rich dashi flavor; and overall—including dinner—you can really feel how much care goes into every dish. Dinner included some items from last time as well as some changes, so even repeat guests can enjoy it. I travel almost every month throughout The whole country and overseas (40 countries), so I can’t visit very often—but whenever I’m heading to the Izu area again, I’d love to return. Please keep running this Accommodation for as long as your energy and motivation allow.

I’ve stayed here several times, but this is my first review. The open-air bath was amazing—you can soak while enjoying the beautiful scenery, which was truly moving. The room was clean, and the amenities were excellent. Starting this time, the refrigerator drinks were also free, which made me very happy. Dinner was delicious as well, with some new menu items that impressed me. Breakfast was great as always with a wide variety of dishes, but it was completely different from what was listed on the menu. Also, I couldn’t get a refill of rice this time because there wasn’t much left in the rice container. (Sorry—I eat a lot.) That was the only disappointing point this time. The staff’s thoughtful hospitality is very soothing, so I’ll definitely come back to stay again.

We stay here every summer. We come for the nature of Jogasaki and the meals at this Accommodation. Every time, we enjoy outstanding kaiseki cuisine that is wonderful in both presentation and taste. This time, during dinner, a Japanese staff member kindly explained each dish in detail, which made an even better impression. We will visit again next year.
