We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. The Facilities, the staff’s atmosphere, and the meals were all excellent. It was clear that each staff member truly loves dogs and enjoys working here. We would definitely like to stay again.

The location was excellent, and the views of Sanshiro Island and Suruga Bay from the Room, the bath, and the lobby were amazing. There were complimentary drinks and tokoroten available in the free lobby, and the private family bath was open—everything could be used without a Reservation. The night view from the rooftop was also wonderful, and we enjoyed it like a vacation home. The staff service was outstanding as well. We would love to stay again.

This was a return visit, and I was delighted that you remembered me and greeted me. Once again, it was a stay that made me want to come back. The free-flowing hot spring water was wonderful, and I stayed warm long after my bath. I also truly appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as the proprietress kindly offering extra yukata and towels. Every dish was genuinely delicious—not only the sashimi and simmered dishes, but even the rice left a strong impression. I was told it was “Milky Queen glacier rice,” and it was sweet and pleasantly chewy; the rice itself felt like a feast. The dried fish at breakfast was also grilled to crispy perfection all the way to the head, and I ended up eating it neatly to the last bite. I’m grateful for such a delicious meal. Being able to have dinner served in the room is one of this inn’s charms. This time, since I wanted to get some work done in my room as well, I chose to dine in the dining area instead. In that spacious room with large windows—without turning on the TV—I found it incredibly relaxing to take my time and focus on each dish. The chair and table placed in the sunroom area of my room were also perfect for light work and very comfortable. It’s also nice that plenty of coffee and tea are provided. The flowers in the alcove were beautiful and lifted my spirits. The futon bedding was fluffy, too—I slept very well. If I could make just one request, having a power strip in the room would be even more helpful. Other than that, everything was excellent. I’d love to return again for the hot springs, wonderful food, and warm hospitality.

I had a wonderfully relaxing stay at a comfortable pace. It was quiet and spotless throughout, and the Onsen was incredibly open and wonderful. Every meal was deeply delicious. The staff were also very pleasant and welcoming. I feel as if both my body and mind have been refreshed. I can hardly believe how reasonably priced it is. Thank you very much. This is an inn I’d had my eye on for a while because of its high reviews. From the warm welcome onward, the service was very attentive, and the atmosphere is quiet and relaxing. The hot spring is free-flowing, with a slightly lukewarm temperature, so I was able to soak at a leisurely pace. We visited with our dog, and they even remembered our dog’s name and called out to him by name. This time, perhaps because all the other guests were also traveling with dogs, dogs were allowed in the dining area as well, so we were able to enjoy a pleasant mealtime. All of the dishes were delicious. There was plenty of variety, but since I have a big appetite… I felt a bit hesitant to ask for seconds each time, so I thought it would be nice if guests could refill rice themselves.

I am an Onsen enthusiast who stays over 80 nights a year, mainly in Izu. I have stayed at Kameya Keian more than 30 nights in the past, and this year I stayed for 4 nights. The cuisine was artistic in presentation, and the flavor—especially the richness of the dashi—was something no other Hotel or Ryokan can match; it was absolutely outstanding. The Onsen water quality is excellent, as expected of the historic Izunagaoka Onsen, making this a top-rated Onsen Ryokan. I will visit again.

We were completely satisfied with both the Room and the meals. The meal for our dog was also a feast, making this a truly happy trip. We would definitely love to stay again.

The in-room bath is available anytime, spacious, and perfect for relaxing. Lately I may have been using only this private bath... The room itself is also large—absolutely wonderful! Above all, the cuisine at this ryokan is beautifully presented and tastes amazing. I was lucky to even get to try ayu sashimi. Meals are served in a private dining room, so you can enjoy your time without worrying about others. Once again, I left completely full. Breakfast also offers so many side dishes that it’s hard to decide what to start with. This is truly my favorite ryokan—no doubt about it. I’d love to come back again.

We traveled with our dog. We’ve traveled to many places with our dog, and the meals here were by far the best. The portions were generous, and it’s a real shame we couldn’t finish everything. Having the meals served in our room was also a great choice. The building feels a bit old, but it was very clean and well maintained, and we really enjoyed using the large public bath. Our dog seemed to love the tatami mats and was more relaxed than ever before. All of the staff were cheerful, energetic, and very kind. We would definitely like to stay here again.

We stayed here during my 7th month of pregnancy for a maternity trip. It was our first time staying in Gora, and while choosing among the many Accommodations, we decided based on the availability of an in-room open-air bath, Reviews of the food, and the high level of service—and it was absolutely the right choice. Every dish was delicious, and from check-in to check-out we had a truly comfortable experience. It was our last trip as a couple before welcoming our baby, and it became a very memorable journey. My husband also said that although he has stayed at many Accommodations before, this one left a particularly strong impression and he was very satisfied. We would definitely like to stay again.

We traveled with our 3-month-old baby. With breakfast and dinner served in the Room and a private bath, we were able to relax and take our time. The staff kindly laid out the futons early and spoke to us gently, and their warm hospitality was truly comforting. The meals at the restaurant were excellent—we even had seconds of rice. Both the Room and the garden were beautifully maintained, making our stay very pleasant. We had wondered if it would be an issue without an open-air bath, but the in-Room bath was more than enough for us to enjoy.

This was our second stay at Sekiyo. We were upgraded from Taikan and were able to stay in Kangetsuan. It was our first time in a detached guest room, and it was very quiet. From time to time, small birds came to the tree by the window, and my spouse and I were able to relax at a leisurely pace. We also fully enjoyed both the indoor bath and the open-air bath. The meals were wonderful—there were so many dishes that we couldn’t finish them all, and everything was delicious. The attentive service from the room attendant was excellent as well, and we would love to visit Sekiyo again.

The Onsen, the food, the service, and the Room were all beyond our expectations, and we were able to truly relax. It had been a while since we stayed in a Japanese-style room; lying on the tatami and gazing at the garden, we enjoyed the luxury of doing absolutely nothing. The only disappointment was that while the private bath has a wonderful ocean view, there is an apartment building directly in front of it, and I was quite concerned that the washing area might be visible from there.

The bath, the room, the sauna, the food, and all of the staff were outstanding. The goats were incredibly cute and so relaxing! My daughter was totally absorbed in feeding them and said on the way home that she definitely wants to stay again! We plan to visit again if we have the chance!

My spouse and I stayed here, and it was an even more wonderful experience than we expected. What impressed us most was the food. Luxurious ingredients like spiny lobster and abalone were, of course, delicious, but even more than that, we were captivated by the care put into each dish—from the appetizers to the assorted small plates. The gentle flavors that respected each ingredient’s natural taste and the beautiful seasonal presentation conveyed true thoughtfulness. We enjoyed both Japanese and Western elements, and even breakfast left us completely satisfied. From our welcome through to mealtimes, the service was consistently warm and attentive. The facilities and our room were spotless, with thoughtful touches throughout, making our stay very comfortable. We also enjoyed the private free-flowing hot spring bath at our leisure without having to wait. With the sea nearby, it’s a lovely setting where you can enjoy the sound of waves—and occasionally a passing train—adding to the sense of travel. Between the delicious cuisine, hot springs, and comforting hospitality, we felt truly refreshed. We were both very satisfied and would love to return again.

We were blessed with great weather this time, and the view from the in-room semi-open-air bath was wonderful. The Onsen may feel a little lukewarm, but it keeps you warm for a long time. We heard the meals had just been updated with new offerings, and everything was delicious. With all amenities provided, this Accommodation is truly appreciated for allowing us to visit lightly and casually. We would love to return again in different seasons. We’re repeat guests for the cats, delicious food, and the cozy comfort of having everything you need right in the Room. This time my husband came with us too. The kids were thrilled with the maisonette and the open-air bath. We also love the skincare amenities such as lotion—they’re from a brand we like. We were so happy to finally spend time with the cats again. Since this was our first summer stay, we were told, “You might find stag beetles on the balcony,” and there were so many (surprisingly)! We took some home and are taking good care of them. Thank you for all your thoughtful consideration. Dinner was served at perfect timing—hot dishes hot and cold dishes cold—and my husband really enjoyed how delicious everything was. For breakfast we chose Japanese this time; the clay-pot rice selected by a rice meister was outstanding. Our child asked for seconds again and again. Everything was perfect except that the children’s pajamas we borrowed felt smaller than expected for their size. Thank you as always for your warm welcome—it made for an amazing start to our summer vacation. We’d love to come back again.

Although the weather was poor throughout due to the typhoon, it actually made for an almost private stay. My daughter had seen it in a magazine and was looking forward to it, and it was just as relaxing as we had hoped. The hot stone spa, baths, and meals were all exactly as described in the magazine and brochures—nothing to complain about—but above all, the staff’s thoughtfulness was outstanding, and even with just one night we were able to relax both physically and mentally. I was coming down with a slight cold, so I truly appreciated the front desk lady’s subtle kindness and concern. The next day brought clear skies for the first time in a while, and breakfast while enjoying the wonderful ocean view was amazing. Thank you also for accommodating our request during the ride back to the station by stopping at a nearby popular bakery.
