We had another comfortable stay. We’re the two who cause a stir every year. The live show was amazing, too. Maybe it’s due to the location, but the Wi‑Fi was hard to connect to, which was a bit of a downside. Still, we’ll be back again next year.

Our three-generation family of six stayed for two nights. The property was still new and spotless, with an ocean view and plenty of space—great for the kids to spread out, and relaxing for the adults as well. We had a very comfortable stay. It wasn’t too far from the airport, and there were lovely cafes nearby as well as American Village, which made it very convenient.

I chose to stay here because the exterior and interior photos were so striking, and I was also drawn to the fact that it is operated by a public interest incorporated association that supports children with intractable illnesses and their families. The welcome drink and sweets, as well as the complimentary drinks, all had a distinctly Okinawan touch and were truly enjoyable. The staff’s service was polite yet friendly and warm, which left a strong impression. The private bath is used on a time-slot rotation, but since there aren’t many guest groups staying at once, it didn’t feel inconvenient at all. The spacious bath allowed me to relax comfortably. It drizzled lightly at night, and watching raindrops fall onto the water feature in the center of the building and ripple outward felt wonderfully magical. The next morning was sunny, so we had breakfast in the lush garden while surrounded by pleasant morning light. I was able to enjoy Okinawan dishes and fruits that are not easy to come across in everyday life—it was deeply satisfying. In particular, the island banana smoothie served before breakfast was so delicious that I honestly wanted seconds (haha). It was only one night, but it was a truly lovely Accommodation where I could step away from daily life and spend quiet, peaceful time.

We stayed for four days. From before check-in, throughout our stay, and at check-out, the staff were extremely courteous and attentive. The Room was clean, and above all, we were very happy that the gas dryer dried our laundry quickly. It’s also close to American Village, and we walked there. We would love to stay again. We stayed for 4 nights. The Room was spacious, and although the building is old, it was well cleaned and felt very tidy, so we were able to stay comfortably throughout our trip. We were also happy to have a massage chair. Having a parking lot was another great plus. Above all, all the staff were polite and kind, and we’re glad we chose Sharara. We would love to stay here again when we visit Okinawa!

PATARIRO On my previous stay, it was very quiet and I wasn’t bothered by any noise from other guests, so this is my second time staying here. The Room was clean, and I had a comfortable stay. Thank you very much. There is a shop nearby run by someone I know, and I would like to stay here again when I visit there.

Once again, I had a relaxing and comforting stay. The view from the large window, the warm personality of the host, and the thoughtful details in the room make this accommodation flawless. I travel to Okinawa just to spend time here. Thank you very much.

I stay here every time I visit Okinawa. It’s so comfortable that it even feels like my own home. Even after all these years since opening, it remains beautiful and spotless—I’m truly grateful. I look forward to staying again next time.

We had a wonderful auberge experience exactly as we’d imagined, and we were very satisfied. Thoughts on the triple Room (not mentioned in other Review): - The tabletop mirror prepared on the desk—also useful as an accessory tray—was extremely convenient for the three of us traveling together to get ready. - The toilet floor was tiled with a drain, and it felt exceptionally clean. - The loungewear wasn’t overly softened with fabric softener and felt smooth and comfortable. I think even those who dislike fragrances could wear it. - We stayed in February, and the sheets were pleasantly soft and slightly moist to the touch. Perhaps thanks to the mattress pad, nothing shifted at all, so we didn’t need to readjust the bedding until morning. Among Resort Hotels on Okinawa’s main island, Business Hotels, and long-established sightseeing hotels back home (in another prefecture) that we’ve used in recent years, this was our favorite. Ryukyu Ganebu wine and the cuisine, a charming Room, and warm hospitality—it was a truly lovely experience that felt like being shown one by one the treasures gained through all the challenges and adventures the owner couple have accomplished so far. I’m glad we chose “Tears” as our first wine toast with our daughters who have only recently become adults. It has become a precious wine tied to special memories, and we’re really looking forward to returning someday to toast here again. Photo: We couldn’t finish all of our wine at dinner, so Mrs. Owner kindly brought it up to our Room. We enjoyed it carefully during our trip, and brought the bottle home along with our memories. We stayed in one Room for four people, and it was clean and comfortable. The two-door refrigerator meant that even if we bought ice at the convenience store next door, it didn’t melt. There’s also a washing machine (on the balcony, so slightly inconvenient) and a gas dryer inside the Room, so it wasn’t an issue at all. It dried quickly and was a huge help during our six-day stay! The bathroom is shower-only, which is common in Okinawa, but the shampoo and conditioner were excellent—after swimming in the sea, my hair went from rough to smooth and shiny! Above all, the value for money is unbeatable, so we’d love to stay here again next time. Thank you very much.

We stayed in a Japanese-Western style Room. The toilet and bath were separate, there was a steak restaurant next door, and a convenience store across the street. Behind the Accommodation, there was a fishing port and a small park, and we were pleasantly surprised to find earplugs among the amenities. The elevator “Open” button didn’t work well, so we had to stop it with our foot. There was a step between the Room and the (spacious) bath area, but they kindly stacked mats as a temporary fix, which really helped. The faucet at the sink in the bath area was stiff. There was no washing machine. There were some drawbacks, but everyone was very kind to us.

Ernesto Zanpa is a spacious former foreign residence, so we were able to relax and enjoy our stay. The place was thoroughly cleaned, and although we received an explanation at check-in, the staff member was very pleasant. They also provided towels for going to the beach, which we gratefully used. We stayed for two nights and were very comfortable. We would like to stay again.

The compact Room was filled with tasteful touches. Even in this humid season, the bedding stayed smooth and dry, and the gauze pajamas were soft and fluffy with an excellent feel against the skin. It was a quiet, soothing Accommodation during the holiday period.

The parking was easy to use, which was very helpful. I had registered my companion in advance and expected everything to go smoothly, but the way to enter the building was a bit hard to understand. You can live just like at home without any issues, so I think it’s perfect for families with children. Overall it was clean, but I did wish the washing machine had been maintained a little better. Still, there were plenty of hangers, and even when drying laundry outside there is proper screening around the area, so it felt safe. At night, it was quieter outside than I expected. There’s a convenience store right nearby, and American Village is within walking distance as well, which was very convenient.

Recommended for travelers who want to enjoy sightseeing in Okinawa and just need a place to stay. It seems to have been converted from a love hotel, but the Room is spacious and there are no issues if you only need it for an overnight stay. Having your own transportation, such as a rental car, is essential. Located about 5–10 minutes from AEON Mall Rycom. When I visited this year, a washlet toilet seat had been added, which I don’t think was there last year.

In 2025, I visited Okinawa four times and stayed at different condo vacation rentals each time. However, my stay at Doka Doka was the best, so I decided to return here for my year-end visit. During this second stay, I noticed various thoughtful touches from the perspective of guests that I hadn't realized during my first visit. It made me feel that this place is the perfect choice for future stays. While many "Instagrammable Rooms" are introduced all over Okinawa, I've often felt they lack consideration for actual guest needs when staying there. This includes kitchen facilities, cooking utensils, bathrooms, or even how doors open and close—small details but noticeable nonetheless. It seems like those managing such facilities may not have actually stayed in their own rooms themselves. On the other hand, it feels like whoever designed this place considered everything from a personal user’s perspective because nothing is lacking here. (The bathroom doesn't have a reheating function for baths; hence my rating of 4 stars in that regard—but it's not something I'd ask to be changed as it’s perfectly fine as is.) It may not be highly "Instagrammable," but it offers more than enough comfort if your goal is to live like a local during your stay. The beautiful Yachimun pottery provided adds an extra touch of joy when preparing meals in the kitchen. The café breakfast experience was also wonderful—staff were very kind and accommodating with generous portions served. The scenery was stunning while the gentle music and atmosphere inside uplifted our morning mood beautifully. I’m already looking forward to visiting again next time! Thank you very much!

The view, Facilities, location, and cleanliness were all excellent. We really appreciated the thoughtful items prepared in the Room—it felt very considerate. Since we did a workcation, it was also great that housekeeping didn’t come in and there was a vacuum; we could clean ourselves whenever we wanted without worrying about timing. Things we were glad to have: - Vacuum cleaner - Rice cooker - Electric kettle - Washing machine, dryer, detergent - Plastic wrap - Dish soap and sponge - Separate trash bins for sorting and extra plastic bags - A sufficiently large refrigerator - Microwave - Dishes, cutlery, pots, frying pan, scissors, knife, cutting board, dish rack/drainer basket, spatula/turner, ladle, whisker/frother tool?, bottle opener (etc.) - Shampoo, conditioner, body soap - Power outlet by the bed - Plenty of outlets overall - Plenty of hangers Location It’s easy to get here by route bus from Haneda Airport or Kokusai-dori—get off at Ihe Bus Stop and it’s right there. You can also take the shuttle bus from the nearby Radiant Hotel. It’s a perfect walking distance to American Village; the route is along the seaside with clean paved paths so it feels great. There’s a large drugstore nearby as well as FamilyMart and a bakery; if you walk a bit farther you’ll find AEON and San-Ae supermarkets and cafés open from around 7 a.m. There’s also a car rental shop within walking distance—so we took the bus from Naha Airport and only rented a car when going on longer trips. View Because we spent a lot of time in the Room for our workcation, we insisted on an ocean-view Room on a high floor. That was absolutely the right choice. The main view is of the port area. You can see Chatan fireworks when they go off. Cleanliness Everything was very clean—including the kitchen and all water areas—so we could use them comfortably throughout our stay. Next time I’d love to visit with my whole family. I’d be happy if there were a repeat guest discount—and it would be even better if there were an option for one flat rate per room as well.

I stayed in a room with a double bed. It was very spacious! The TV was large, and I enjoyed watching Netflix. The room had a washer with a dryer, which was very convenient. For Multiple Night Stays, it seems cleaning is not provided, so guests need to take care of trash disposal and bath towels themselves.

I stayed here with my elderly mother, and she was very satisfied because it was so comfortable. We were lucky with the weather, so relaxing in the Room while looking out at the blue ocean with a panoramic view was the best. There were no amenities like cleansing oil or face wash, but I felt that items such as toothbrushes were good quality and well provided. The bed in particular was very comfortable, and my back felt better when I woke up. We could also use separate bedrooms, which made it very relaxing. This time we stayed for two nights, but my mother and I are saying that next time we’d like to stay for about a week! Because my mother has trouble walking, it would have been 120 points if there had been a chair in the bathroom. As for the “cemetery view” mentioned in other Reviews, we were on the 4th floor so it didn’t bother me at all. Self check-in and check-out were easy and convenient. It has become one of the villas I’d like to visit again. Thank you.

The Room was kept clean, and we were able to stay comfortably. We stayed during a typhoon, but the building was sturdy, so we could rest without any worries. With a convenience store on the first floor, we didn’t find it inconvenient that there was no restaurant.
