After watching a TV program featuring purple sea urchin, we visited looking forward to the dining experience. The cuisine, making the most of Amakusa’s abundant natural bounty, was far beyond our expectations—truly outstanding. We also appreciated the thoughtful explanations about the ingredients and stories about the producers, and enjoyed a wonderful time with the paired drinks. Dinner enjoyed while watching the beautiful sunset is a special memory we will never forget. A stylish and comfortable Room, an Onsen with ocean views, and breathtaking scenery right before our eyes—everything was exceptional and deeply relaxing. Most memorable of all was the warm hospitality of your staff, who clearly love Amakusa. Their desire to share Amakusa’s charm and ensure every guest truly enjoys their stay came through in every detail, and thanks to their attentive care we felt comfortable throughout. It became an unforgettable stay for us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Despite the difficult circumstances following the earthquake, all of the staff continued to provide high-quality service with warm smiles. Thank you very much. I also thoroughly enjoyed the bath while being moved by the beauty of the sunset and the sea. We truly appreciated the anniversary surprise as well. We would love to stay again.

The Room and Facility were exactly as shown in the photos, and the full-course Italian meal was delicate, outstanding in both taste and presentation. The woman who served us on the floor was exceptionally attentive and responsive, providing truly excellent hospitality. My mother, who traveled with me, also praised it highly and said she would love to come again.

The hospitality was excellent. At the front desk, the dining venue, and the reception for the private bath, everyone greeted us with a smile. It was our first stay, and we had a very comfortable time. An ocean view and direct access to a beautiful beach made it easy and fun to enjoy the sea even with our young grandchildren. We truly appreciate that you kindly accommodated changes to ingredients we don’t like. Enjoying a beer on the terrace while looking out at the ocean— this Accommodation was exactly what we chose to soothe our tiredness. We’re so glad we went! Done—we will definitely return. We’ll be back again. The private bath was wonderful! With a slide, our grandchildren were thrilled.

I stayed in the new wing, and the Room was clean and comfortable with a spacious desk. The staff were also very kind. The bath facilities are new as well, and the water is silky—truly feels like an Onsen. The sauna wasn’t too hot, and the cold bath wasn’t too cold, so it felt gentle on the body. It was very relaxing. Sauna mats were also provided. However, there is no trash bin inside the bathing area for disposing of used amenity items such as body towels or facial wash packets, so everyone had to return to the changing room trash bin while still wet. I would appreciate it if a small trash bin could be placed next to the shampoo area or near where sauna mats are returned. There were also manga and massage chairs in a space near the lobby, which helped me relax even more after bathing.

We stayed in Angel’s Ladder Type A. Just as the Reviews said, the Room, open-air bath, and indoor bath were all extremely satisfying. The meals were excellent—abalone, spiny lobster, and steak. The staff were also very attentive, and we had a very pleasant stay.

The building itself looks a bit old, but the interior has been renovated and is very clean. There is a great selection of amenities you can choose and take with you, and the in-room items are also very useful (a makeup mirror, charging cables, etc.). The Room key is a physical key, not a card. The breakfast you can choose the day before is delicious, and even the side salad uses colorful vegetables—better than what you’d expect from a Business Hotel breakfast. I stay here a few times a year, but Rooms are sometimes unavailable, so I make my Reservation early. I’ll be back again.

Every dish in the meal was outstanding—the best of any Ryokan I have stayed at. I was also surprised at how delicious the seasoning was even on the fried item we were given to take home, made from the remaining fish. The Room was clean and well kept. The staff’s service was just right, and it felt very comfortable.

It was a lovely Hotel with simple, clean Rooms and a soothing hinoki cypress scent. Breakfast was delicious, and I really appreciated being able to stay at this price. It was so comfortable that it became a Hotel I’d love to stay at again. There are many shops nearby, and we enjoyed finding places for dinner in Amakusa. We woke up early and watched the sunrise over the sea right in front of us. We truly enjoyed our trip to Amakusa. Thank you very much.

We stayed with a family of four and three dogs. It was our first trip traveling with dogs, so we had some concerns, but the Hotel was very dog-friendly and we were extremely satisfied. The Room was more spacious and cleaner than we expected. The bath on the second floor felt a little cool. Since it wasn’t a cold season, it only bothered us slightly. We would love to stay here again when we visit Amakusa.

This was my first stay here. The staff were very courteous, and the meals offered a wide variety of dishes. Being served in the Room allowed us to relax and take our time. I did notice some dark staining on the shower hose and floor in the bathing area, but there were many types of facial cleansers and serums available, as well as horse oil shampoo, which left both my skin and hair feeling great. Early in the morning by the sea, I went fishing at a spot I was shown and caught plenty of good-sized whiting. Because of the heat, it was a short trip, but I was very satisfied with the catch. Next time, I’ll visit during a cooler season. Overall, I was extremely satisfied—especially with the meals! Thank you again, and I look forward to staying with you again.

This was an excellent Onsen where you can truly appreciate what “free-flowing from the source” means, and we were very satisfied with both dinner and breakfast. The somen noodles in sea bream broth were delicious. We stayed in a Japanese-style room with an open-air bath, and it was soothing to see crabs in the garden and by the open-air bath. Time passed slowly, making this a relaxing Accommodation where we could unwind.

I arrived a little early, and I truly appreciate how kindly all the staff treated me. Every dish was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. I would definitely like to stay here again when I visit the Amakusa area.

Thank you very much for your hospitality. The meals were excellent and far better than I expected for the Accommodation Fee. The Onsen was also outstanding, with free-flowing natural hot spring water, so I highly recommend this place to anyone considering staying nearby. I made my Reservation from Shizuoka Prefecture through Yahoo Travel, and I highly recommend Yahoo Travel as well. I will continue using Yahoo services.

After returning from the beach, we had the opportunity to dine at a restaurant near the Hotel and made a Reservation. Honestly, since it was just for sleeping, I thought it would be fine even if it wasn't very clean, but the Room was very clean and pleasant. When we entered the Room, the air conditioner was set to 25 degrees. I was worried it might be too cold, so I changed it to 27 degrees before sleeping but woke up feeling hot in the middle of the night. 25 degrees was perfect. I would like to use this Hotel again.

It was a trip for two with my 93-year-old mother. Because there were a few steps to the private bath, they kindly drove us back and forth by car over the distance of several dozen meters. The Room’s large glass windows were beautifully polished, and thoughtful care was evident in every detail. The hostess’s hospitality was wonderful, and we were also impressed by how delicious the food was. It was an Accommodation we would love to visit again.

The service and Facility were excellent! The BBQ area was spacious and could be used even in the rain, and it was large enough for small children to play. There was also a park next door, which was great. However, I’m giving one point less because I’d like to see improvements in the water areas—there was red mold on the dish drainer, so I hope cleanliness can be improved.

The Room was clean, and the owner was very kind. I would like to stay again when I want to relax. If you do your shopping in advance, you can sometimes enjoy a peaceful, relaxing time. Thank you very much.

My business trip was decided at short notice, so I made a Reservation. There is an Accommodation building on the property, along with a parking lot and Kappo Shiro. Maybe because it was a weekday, the parking lot was spacious, and Kappo Shiro seems to be used by locals for dinner and memorial gatherings as well. The Accommodation building is up to the 2nd floor by stairs—no issues for me. On the 1st floor there were complimentary drinks for guests, which was really helpful in this hot season. There was also a vending machine. The double Room was comfortable. The air conditioning worked well, it was quiet, and I slept soundly. There were plenty of TV channels, and the Wi-Fi worked without any problems! You can get a coupon for “Harajo Onsen Masago,” about a 5-minute walk away. It’s great that you can use it on your check-in day or even in the morning until 9:00 AM the next day! I didn’t expect to enjoy an Onsen stay, so I was very happy. It’s small but has a sauna too, and if you go later at night it’s not very crowded. Earlier in the evening it can be busier because locals also use it. Both dinner and breakfast are served at “Kappo Shiro.” (Even if your Plan doesn’t include dinner, you can pay separately; if you arrive by around 6:00 PM and there are seats available, it seemed like you could order various set meals.) I had Reserved the Business Plan. It probably varies by day, but that night we had simmered fish; gu-zoni soup; tempura and sashimi; chawanmushi; their local specialty Hyottsuru; plus white rice and miso soup! I usually eat as much as most men do, but I was completely satisfied with both quality and quantity. The food tasted exactly as you’d expect from a kappo restaurant—truly impressive!! I’d come back just for the meals alone. Breakfast was classic Japanese style—and of course excellent. If I have another chance, I’d love to stay here again next time on a trip with my mother!!
