I could never forget how moved I was during my first stay, so I came back again this time. The beautiful ocean views, the warm hospitality of the staff, the modern and spotless Room, and the delicious meals prepared with genuine care—everything is wonderful. This is a truly beloved Accommodation where nothing feels lacking. Once again, I felt deeply refreshed and was able to spend a wonderful time. Thank you for your exceptional hospitality. I would definitely love to visit again.

I stayed overnight in Shimonoseki and was looking for an Accommodation where I could truly look forward to the meals. Since there was a Plan that included both fugu and beef, I made a Reservation right away. The building is a long-established culinary Ryokan with a sense of history, and I heard that locals use it for weddings and funerals as well as to enjoy seasonal fish dishes. The fugu was served as tessa (a Kansai term), with thick slices and an exceptional sweetness. The Miyazaki beef was also tender, and the combination was easy to enjoy. The dishes may look simple at first glance, but each one is carefully crafted—far beyond anything an amateur can judge. The staff were polite yet relaxed, offering thoughtful, unobtrusive service that made my stay very comfortable. That said, I wouldn’t recommend it to travelers whose main priority is the Facility. As a long-established Ryokan, the building clearly shows its age in a good way, and you can tell it has been carefully maintained. This was my first stay here, but I would definitely like to return the next time I visit Shimonoseki. Thank you very much.

For our Kyushu girls’ trip, we chose Mojiko—an area we discovered through “Convenience Store Brothers”—as our final-day destination and stayed in the Premium Suite at Premium Hotel. From the moment we stepped into the Room, we were thrilled by the sweeping view of Mojiko right in front of us and the spacious, comfortable Room! After enjoying carefully selected drinks, cheese, and finger foods at Tempo, the exclusive lounge, we finally fulfilled our wish to walk across the Kanmon Straits. On the way back, we took a ferry that brought us right back to in front of the Hotel. This Hotel is worth staying at for that alone! Next time, we’d love to enjoy a meal at one of the Hotel’s restaurants as well.

The Facility is old, but the rates are affordable, and since the meals are kaiseki cuisine, we enjoyed them at a relaxed pace. Above all, the Kanmon Bridge and the Kanmon Strait can be seen from the Room, bath, and dining hall—absolutely wonderful. We were able to take our time enjoying the view of various ships coming and going. We will stay again.

Facing the Kanmon Straits, it was soothing to watch the ships passing through all the time. The meals were carefully selected and delicious. It was also great to be able to see the straits from the bath; however, the bath was quite crowded with many local residents, which surprised me a little. As a request, I think it would be relaxing if you could use some aroma fragrance or incense in the corridor where the Room is located.

I stayed here again this year following last year. The lack of an auto-lock was not an issue for me. It was sufficient and satisfactory. There was plenty of parking space, and I could also park my motorcycle.

The Room was spacious, and the bath and toilet were separate. The amenities were well stocked. There were also bath salts, so I was happy to be able to relax in the bath. The Hotel is conveniently located near Karato Market and shopping facilities, so we enjoyed exploring on foot. Thank you very much.

The Reviews were good, so I wasn’t particularly worried, but above all, what helped me the most was the late checkout! I’m not the type to spend every minute of my sightseeing time rushing around, so I was truly grateful to be able to relax until 11:00. By the way, check-in was also early at 14:00, so I left my luggage right away and went sightseeing. Very convenient! I was able to use both the washing machine and dryer for free (detergent: 50 yen). I get cold easily and couldn’t fall asleep at first, but there were blankets in the hallway with a “Please feel free to take one” sign, so I was able to sleep. Breakfast was a reasonable portion size, which really helped since I don’t eat much. Other good points have been mentioned by others, so that’s all from me. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

This was my first time staying at a Hotel in Shimonoseki. The Room was clean and I had a comfortable stay. I will definitely stay here again.

There was a payment issue, but the front desk staff handled it very well! I got a little lost on the way from the station, but I managed to get there. If you consider it a typical Business Hotel, I think the Facilities are reasonable. The breakfast rice porridge was delicious! If I go to Shimonoseki again, I’d like to stay here again.

This Hotel is conveniently located near the station, making it easy to get anywhere without worrying about exact schedules. The property was clean, and I felt comfortable and at ease during my stay.

This was my first stay. It was a few minutes from the bus stop (Buzen-da), which made getting around by bus very convenient. I stayed while helping with a move, and soaking in the bath helped me recover from the fatigue. I really appreciated being able to relax in a spacious bath instead of just the Room’s unit bathroom, even though it was dimly lit. Since I only needed the Room for sleeping, the small size didn’t bother me much. I also looked forward to the delicious breakfast each morning. They let me know when my meal was ready, which felt very welcoming. The staff were very kind—thank you so much. I would like to stay again.

This time, I stayed two nights on the Mojiko side, then took the ferry across to the Shimonoseki side for one night. It was a very sunny and hot day, but Karato Market, the Karato Ferry Terminal, Kaikyokan (Shimonoseki Aquarium), Hai! Karatto Yokocho (a small amusement park), and RISONARE are all lined up in the same area, so it’s great that you can enjoy everything within walking distance. On top of that, the Hotel offers plenty of kid-friendly activities such as the pufferfish pool and pufferfish beach, and the little ones looked like they were having a wonderful time. I also saw families staying with three generations together—this seems like an excellent choice for family trips. As for me, it was a solo trip for one night, so I treated myself to a full pufferfish Italian course at Otto Sette in the dining room (the aperitif was served on the terrace at sunset before moving into the dining room!). I also enjoyed a relaxing resort stay in a new and comfortable Room while taking in views of the Kanmon Straits. In the morning, I started my walk before dawn along Arukaport Promenade by the sea in front of the Hotel. With cool sea breezes and gradually brightening skies over the Kanmon Straits, I walked past Karato Market to Sister City Plaza at the end of the promenade to watch sunrise. Then I returned along the same path back to the Hotel and joined “Sea Breeze Stretch” on Namunami Terrace with its beautifully kept lawn. After that came an incredible breakfast buffet with so many options it was hard to choose—I enjoyed it right up to my limit. At PUKU PUKU’s breakfast buffet, kawara soba, seafood marinated rice bowls, and French toast are must-haves—go hungry. Even though it was only one night, it felt incredibly fulfilling. I’d love to come back—and now I want to visit other RISONARE properties too. Also, even if you make a Reservation here, it’s convenient that you can log in on their official website using your Reservation Number and arrange meals and activities online in advance.

Although it shows a bit of age, the Room is clean and easy to use. Above all, the breakfast buffet has a great selection, and everything is delicious. Shimonoseki is famous for fugu. They even offer fugu skin in vinegar—just what you’d expect from a Hotel in Shimonoseki. Highly recommended.

I have used this Hotel before, and it is a good one. The breakfast is delicious, especially the wide variety of tasty bread options.

I stayed in a twin Room. The Facility is old, but rather than feeling worn out and outdated, the Room was thoroughly cleaned and felt very fresh and comfortable. The grout between the bathroom tiles was spotless and bright white, and I could tell they put a lot of effort into cleaning. This may have been for a limited time, but the air conditioner was already on before check-in, so the Room was cool! After walking around Karato Market in midsummer and feeling lightheaded from the heat, this was really appreciated. It would be easier to leave it off considering electricity costs for each Room, so having the air conditioner on made me feel their hospitality.

It’s a standard Room, but it felt spacious! Most amenities are provided, which was very helpful. The parking garage goes up to the 7th floor. There’s no elevator, but it’s roomy (the ocean view from the 7th floor is beautiful, so if you don’t have much luggage, I recommend parking on the 7th floor). It’s within walking distance from Shimonoseki Station and Sea Mall Shimonoseki—perfect for a casual stroll. If you follow Google Maps, the route to the Hotel might be a bit hard to understand. It’s behind a main road and on a one-way street. Right outside the back exit of the Hotel there are some adult-oriented shops lined up, but there were no touts, so I think it’s fine to walk (the parking area is closer from the back exit). The breakfast toast was really delicious!

As the hotel has only just opened, the staff still seemed to be getting used to things, but everyone was hardworking and pleasant. The Room offered a panoramic view of the Kanmon Straits, and the view from the large public bath on the top floor was also wonderful. The bath water is on the lukewarm side, so you can soak and relax for a long time. However, at breakfast we were assigned seats according to our party size, but we (in our 70s) were placed in an upper-level section. Going up and down while carrying a tray felt unsafe. There was also a guest nearby using a cane, while younger couples were seated at tables on the lower level. I would appreciate it if this could be considered more carefully.

Last month, my daughter stayed here and said it was wonderful, so I decided to visit as well. I love books, so instead of sightseeing much, I spent most of my time in the Room just reading. It was my first time having an experience like this. I was so happy surrounded by books. The meals were also excellent—everything from the appetizers to the dessert was delicious. The dishes were truly elaborate and carefully prepared. The staff’s hospitality was pleasant, and I had a very comfortable stay. I’m grateful to my daughter for telling me about this place!

We stayed in a family-type Room. The Room was spacious and clean, making it very comfortable. Having a washer and dryer was especially convenient. When our child forgot something, we contacted the property and they responded immediately, which we really appreciated. If we visit Mojiko again, we would like to stay here again.
