From July 20, we stayed for two nights again. We traveled by train with two dogs. We’ve gotten completely used to it now, and that’s all thanks to the warmth and kindness of everyone at the Ryokan. I couldn’t make it without the Shuttle Service from the station. Thank you, as always, for your wonderful Shuttle Service. The meals reflected the season, and each dish was thoughtfully prepared and delicious. I rated the bath 4 stars because the stairs to and from the bath, and the airflow around that area, felt a bit uncomfortable for this time of year. The bath temperature was perfect for me. Thank you so much to all the staff for your kindness. We’ll be back again.

This was my third stay—an Accommodation I always want to return to. Since it’s at the gateway to Izu, it took just two hours from Tokyo, and with great hot springs and great food, we thoroughly enjoyed our two days. It’s well known as an Accommodation for hot-spring hopping, and this time too I soaked several times in the semi-open-air bath in our Room, enjoying the silky water that feels wonderful on the skin. One of the highlights here is also being able to enjoy grilled abalone and spiny lobster. What I notice every time is how friendly all the staff are, while still being properly professional—I can tell their training is excellent. I’d love to visit again.

We stayed for two nights with our two Pomeranians and my father, and had a very comfortable time at this dog-first Accommodation. The staff, the Room, the meals, and the bath were all excellent. Since it was hot, we really appreciated being able to borrow a free cooling neck wrap for our dogs. The portions were generous, and I’m sorry we couldn’t finish everything. We would love to stay again.

Thank you for taking care of us on our family trip. Check-in while enjoying a welcome drink was a nice touch, and the Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. There were two bathing options: a free open-air bath and a large public bath, and we could even see Mt. Fuji from the large public bath. Dinner was delicious across the board; although we were full by the end of the meal, the house specialty “Izu Mabushi” was light and refreshing, so we enjoyed it easily. Breakfast featured a variety of side dishes served in small portions on multiple small plates—beautifully presented, and every dish was tasty. The staff were also very pleasant and welcoming, which made our stay even better. We would love to come again. Thank you very much.

I am an Onsen enthusiast who stays over 80 nights a year, mainly in Izu. I have stayed at Kameya Keian more than 30 nights in the past, and this year I stayed for 4 nights. The cuisine was artistic in presentation, and the flavor—especially the richness of the dashi—was something no other Hotel or Ryokan can match; it was absolutely outstanding. The Onsen water quality is excellent, as expected of the historic Izunagaoka Onsen, making this a top-rated Onsen Ryokan. I will visit again.

The Onsen had both hot and lukewarm baths, and I alternated between them. The meals were plentiful and left me completely full; there was a great variety, with nothing to complain about. The front desk staff were kind and helped me with many things. The dining staff were attentive and efficient. This is a Hotel I would like to stay at again.

The food was delicious, and I ended up drinking a bit too much for the first time in a while. The bath was just the right size, and I could relax comfortably and warm up thoroughly. The Room was cleaned carefully, and the toilet was kept very clean, making for a very pleasant stay. I would like to stay again. *The weather was quite cloudy and not ideal for seeing Mt. Fuji, but the clouds cleared briefly and we were able to see it.*

We stayed here as a couple in August. It was very reasonably priced, yet everything was excellent overall. The meal included wagyu beef grilled on a ceramic plate, and even if it was cooked a bit too long, it was still very tender. The other dishes were also delicious. The portions were generous, and we were completely satisfied with both dinner and breakfast. The staff were friendly, and the building was clean. We’d love to use the bath again. If we have the chance, we would definitely stay again, and we would recommend it to others as well.

This was my first stay at Ishinoya. The Room was in a detached-style layout, and when moving to the large public bath and other areas, I could forget everyday life while watching the koi—truly a wonderful time. Thank you very much. Thank you as well to all the staff for your kindness. Breakfast and dinner were both delicious, and I was very satisfied. Each dish was carefully prepared, with perfect presentation and flavor—five stars. Thank you, Chef. I would love to visit again.

Even before our visit, you kindly and attentively accommodated our requests, such as providing a floor chair and securing parking. Not only were the Room and each Facility wonderful, but the hospitality of the staff was also outstanding. Despite it being during the summer vacation season, we were able to spend a calm and relaxing time far from the crowds, and even my usually picky wife kept saying, “I want to come back here again.” Thank you very much.

The private open-air bath with free-flowing natural hot spring water was wonderful! The Room was spotless and very comfortable. The meals were delicious, and we enjoyed plenty of them. It was also great to be able to brew tea in a teapot. We would definitely like to stay again. Thank you very much.

It was unfortunately raining that day, so we stopped by the newly opened Izu no Kuni History Museum “Izushiru” before checking in. The welcome drink system, where you can choose your preferred drink from a vending machine, felt efficient and practical. I absolutely loved the gift zori sandals in our Room and will take good care of them. We used the private open-air bath again this time. There are now two washing stations, so even as a couple we didn’t have to wait and it was very comfortable. The slightly thick, silky hot spring water is wonderful. The floor chair in the Room had been replaced with a higher chair, making it even more comfortable than before. Since it was raining, we enjoyed soaking in the open-air bath attached to our guest room and watching baseball on one of the two TVs that can receive satellite channels. All of the meals were delicious and the portions were just right. After dinner, being able to use the coffee machine in the lobby also added to our satisfaction. All of the staff were very pleasant and welcoming. There’s no excessive service—just a great Accommodation you can enjoy even on rainy days—and my wife likes it too, so it’s becoming our regular place in Izu Nagaoka. We look forward to staying again.

When I arrived at the nearest station in the afternoon and called, they kindly arranged a pick-up and also provided guidance about Panorama Park and suggested discounted tickets. The baths included a rotating open-air bath and a large public bath; I used them four times during my 1-night, 2-day stay and felt truly refreshed. The next morning, I left the Accommodation before 7:00 a.m., and the owner provided Shuttle Service to the station. I was very satisfied with the furnishings throughout the building and the Simmons bed. This time I traveled solo, but next time I’d like to visit with someone and choose a Plan that includes meals.

The bath was amazing! My skin felt so smooth afterward. I didn’t use it this time, but I heard the bath in the Room is also an Onsen. Being able to choose a yukata pattern was a lovely touch for women. All of the staff were kind and thoughtful in so many ways. They recommended Genbei River as a place to explore on the second day, and I ended up playing in the river for the first time in decades (lol). The nature there was incredibly refreshing. The meals were delicious, with more than enough food to finish. We made wonderful summer vacation memories. Thank you very much.

When making the Reservation, I couldn’t operate my smartphone and contacted them directly. They explained that booking from a smartphone is a better deal, and although I’m not used to it, I was able to make the Reservation. On the day, I stayed with my elderly father who has a disability. Our Room was on the first floor, and the Onsen was on the same floor and nearby. My father loves Onsen and used it three times during our one-night stay. We were very satisfied with the Onsen. There is also an AEON nearby, which was very convenient. I would like to stay again.

This was my first time using IKYU. We decided on short notice to take an Onsen trip three days later (on a weekday), and an AI recommended IKYU, so I installed the app and searched. The Accommodation that came up with a last-minute discount was Koyu-ro Ikawa in Izu. I’ll say this upfront: I will definitely return. It was that wonderful. I believe it’s an older Ryokan that has been renovated, and I was truly impressed by the concept. It’s a triumph of spatial design. The entire building is kept softly dim, with skillful lighting creating a luxurious atmosphere, and carefully selected sofas are placed in the lobby. Together, these elements gently conceal the building’s age and create a gorgeous space where you can completely relax. It was also clear that every service and Facility—such as welcome drinks and the dessert buffet after dinner—had been thoughtfully planned and provided. What I especially want to highlight is the private open-air bath in a separate annex on the first floor. You can soak in an indescribably wonderful space, and that time left a powerful impression on me. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent. There is only one regret: while almost all staff were perfect (100 out of 100), when we arrived about an hour before the 3:00 p.m. check-in time, the young female staff member who came out from the back to assist us at reception was extremely disappointing. Her language wasn’t polite, and it made me feel as if we were being pushed out of the property. We pulled ourselves together and returned before 3:00 p.m., but everyone else was outstanding.

Fuji was amazing! The in-room bath was also very comfortable. • Facility The relaxation room on the first floor was dark and a bit scary. Otherwise, no issues. • Meals Truly delicious. Even my partner, who is picky about food, was very satisfied. The portions were just right. I’d happily return just for the meals.

We stayed here during the Obon holidays with our family and our dog. The Room felt a little small for four adults plus a dog, but the amenities were well stocked, everything was thoroughly cleaned, and we had a very comfortable stay. The grass in the dog run was also beautifully maintained, and our dog seemed to have a great time. Some Reviews mentioned concerns about the food, but they kindly accommodated our request as we are not fond of river fish, and the meals were actually delicious. There was a wide variety of dishes—so much so that we wished we had started dinner a bit earlier to enjoy even more. It seems the dining hall offers many other menu items besides what we had this time, so next time we would like to choose a Plan without meals and try various dishes there. All of the staff were very kind and handled everything with care even during the busy Obon period, which impressed us. It was a wonderful Accommodation that made us want to return for another family trip. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us.

Quiet, with delicious meals and a beautiful garden. This Accommodation offers a relaxing environment. In spring, the greenery was lush and beautiful. Next time, I’d like to see the garden in autumn.

Although I arrived after 11:00 PM, I was able to check in without any issues. Despite the late hour, the staff assisted me. The Hotel itself felt old, but it was thoroughly cleaned. I stayed in a large Room, but there were many peeling sliding doors and stains, which gave it an eerie impression. I felt that the breakfast selection was limited.
