The staff were incredibly friendly and kind! The Onsen was amazing, but what impressed me most was the hospitality. And the kimbap was unbelievably delicious. On the second day they kindly served inari sushi, but I liked it so much I wanted to eat kimbap two days in a row!! The building is old, but it felt like visiting the countryside, and everything was thoroughly cleaned and spotless.

I stayed with my daughter at this accommodation. I chose it after reading reviews about its delicious cuisine, and it exceeded my expectations. The steamed abalone and simmered golden eye snapper recommended by the hostess, as well as the sashimi and other dishes, were truly delicious and visually stunning. There are three baths available for private use, allowing us to relax at our own pace. I would definitely love to visit again!

Once again, from the Reservation stage onward, your courteous and kind service was outstanding. The Room, Onsen, and meals were all excellent, but above all, the staff’s hospitality is wonderful and makes me glad I come every time. In particular, the staff member who assists us in the private dining room is always exceptional. The male staff members on our previous visits were also excellent, and this time the female staff member was just as wonderful—her explanations were easy to understand, and her attentive service made it a pleasure to enjoy a delicious meal. We will definitely visit again, and we appreciate your continued support. Thank you very much again for this stay.

We stayed with three families (nine people) during the season when the rapeseed flowers were in full bloom. Everyone—from kids to adults—had a wonderful time, and it became a great memory for us. The ocean stretches out right in front of the Accommodation. We took a walk in the morning before check-out, and it felt amazing. The sea was beautiful, and we thought, “In summer, we could really enjoy swimming here.” Having Yumigahama right in front is a major highlight of this Accommodation. Our Room also had an ocean view and was spacious, so we could relax comfortably. Meals were buffet-style, and everything was delicious—we were very satisfied. There was a wide variety of dishes, so much that we ended up eating too much. There was also all-you-can-drink beer and wine, which made mealtimes even more enjoyable (just be careful not to overdo it). There was an izakaya-style place in front of the Accommodation as well, so we said we might go later if needed—but in the end, we were satisfied enough that there was no need. After dinner, we went up to the rooftop. Spending time looking at the stars while enjoying coffee or tea was wonderful. Being able to enjoy stargazing on the Shiosai Terrace feels unique to this Accommodation. The open-air bath was also very pleasant and relaxing. That said, since it was quite busy when we stayed, it would have been even more comfortable if it were a bit larger. Breakfast was hearty too—delicious enough that we finished everything. Overall, it turned into a very satisfying trip. It’s a bit far from Tokyo, but Izu has many sightseeing spots, and even the journey there added to the travel experience. We’d love to visit again in another season.

The staff were kind and made our stay very comfortable. In particular, one of the international staff members in the dining area was incredibly warm and helpful. We traveled with children, and they seated guests with kids in a separate Room, so we could enjoy our meal without worrying about disturbing others. We made a Reservation for our toddler without meals, but they kindly prepared rice and furikake for us, which we really appreciated. Both dinner and breakfast were luxurious, delicious, and more than enough—we were completely satisfied. The view from the Room was wonderful, and soaking in the bath while listening to the sound of the sea was truly relaxing. The beach is right outside, which made our child very happy. We would love to stay again.

Although the open-air bath was soaked by rain due to the typhoon, it was a great Onsen. The meals were also delicious, with no corners cut in the cooking.

The staff’s thoughtful hospitality made this a truly memorable stay. Everyone was incredibly kind and attentive. The next day happened to be when a typhoon hit directly, yet even then, someone kindly said, “We have umbrellas if you need one, even for a short walk,” and after checkout they offered to escort us to the nearby parking lot. We genuinely felt well cared for. The hot spring was exactly as hoped—wonderful water that left our skin silky smooth. The open-air bath also had a great atmosphere, and we’d love to enjoy it even more on a clear day. Dinner was delicious, and the selection of sake was excellent. As for breakfast, although we’ve stayed at many Accommodations, this was the most surprising so far: in addition to a beautifully packed tiered box filled with small dishes, piping-hot simmered golden eye snapper was served in a lovely clay pot. Overall, it felt like this Accommodation aims to deliver “surprise” through everything—the stay itself, the baths, and the meals. It left a lasting impression. Although Minami-Izu and Shimoda feel a bit far away, we would definitely like to return to an Accommodation like this. Since your renewal reopening in June has coincided with less-than-ideal weather conditions, I imagine it hasn’t been easy. Your service is already more than wonderful—please don’t overdo it, and take good care of yourselves. Thank you very much. We will visit again.

From start to finish, including our departure, the service was heartfelt and attentive. Dinner and breakfast were not only delicious with fresh seafood, but also so plentiful we thought we couldn’t possibly finish everything. The Room had a calm atmosphere that helped melt away everyday stress, and in the morning the song of bush warblers served as a natural alarm for a pleasant wake-up. The amenities were well stocked, and since they were available in the lobby, it was helpful to be able to pick up more at any time. We would love to visit again if we have the chance.

Every summer vacation, our three-generation family stays here. This year marked our third visit, and we had another wonderful stay. Thank you very much!

I stay about once a month, and I’m satisfied every time. It’s a shame that the jacuzzi light is currently broken and won’t turn on, so it would be perfect if this could be fixed.

We stayed here last March. This time, we visited during summer vacation so our dogs (Welsh Corgis, ages 5 and 3) could try the pool, and they had a great time playing. As with our previous stay, we were very satisfied with the meals. It takes about six hours to get here from Takarazuka City, Hyogo Prefecture, but we would love to stay again.

My first time in Minami-Izu—summer vacation at Yumigahama I stayed for two nights at this long-established Accommodation with over 50 years of history, and it turned into the best summer vacation ever. I’m truly grateful. This Accommodation is genuinely wonderful. The quality of the Japanese cuisine, finished by a head chef with an outstanding background, is simply breathtaking—in the best way. Honestly, it’s better than many high-end restaurants! The bath can also be reserved for private use free of charge, which is fantastic. Spacious and spotless, and you can use it anytime 24 hours a day. Above all, what makes this Accommodation truly exceptional is the care, presence, and almost unbelievable hospitality of the staff—led by the proprietress. Everyone is so kind, and it’s incredibly comfortable to be here. It brought back childhood memories of staying at my grandmother’s house during summer vacation… something I naturally remembered again as an adult. There’s something here that no great Hotel or Ryokan can replicate. It’s rare to find an experience where you can relax from the bottom of your heart like this. Next time I’ll visit during the Kawazu cherry blossoms and nanohana season!!

As there was a fireworks festival on my birthday (8/8), we stayed here. Both when I contacted them in advance and when they assisted us in person, the service was incredibly attentive, and above all, the female staff’s smiles were wonderful—the best. We chose a twin Room, so it was spacious and comfortable, but unfortunately the air conditioner didn’t cool well until sunset due to the western sun, and it was cooler out in the hallway. However, since only three groups were staying, we were able to use the private bath both that day and the next morning, which I had been worried about after reading other Reviews. Also, there was a shared freezer and ice machine in the lobby, which we really appreciated as drinkers. Every dish was delicious, and hot items were served hot—excellent. For light eaters like us, it was more than enough to leave us completely full. They even made dessert birthday-themed for us, which truly moved me. I’ve already recommended it to my friends!

A guesthouse run by a kind couple, Guesthouse Rin. Their explanations are easy to understand, and the Room is kept very clean. Having a private Room is also a big plus. I stayed here to visit the Minami Cherry Blossom and Nanohana Festival. It’s about a 3-minute drive to the nanohana fields, and about 7 minutes to the main venue at Roadside Station Shimogamo Onsen Yunohana, so the location is great. I got around on my own bike, but rental bicycles are also available. It gets dark at night, so I traveled by car.

This is a wonderful Accommodation where the proprietress’s thoughtful hospitality truly shines. As others have mentioned, the entire property is impeccably clean—there isn’t a speck of dust anywhere. They frequently checked in to make sure we weren’t inconvenienced, and we were able to relax in complete comfort at our own pace. The meals were also generous both morning and evening, and we enjoyed the refined, lightly seasoned flavors. It really showed that with careful cooking, even reduced salt can be more than delicious—I’m inspired to rethink my own seasoning. Also, since there were no other guests during our stay, we could enjoy the Onsen whenever we liked, which felt wonderfully luxurious. With such an amazing location right in front of a beautiful sandy beach, I’d love to visit again for swimming next time.

Stayed during a busy holiday period. It was likely fully booked and very busy, yet the staff provided excellent and attentive service. They kindly assisted with sightseeing advice and guidance. For dinner, we chose Izu beef and abalone as the main dishes. Although I usually prefer meat, the abalone with liver vinegar sauce was incredibly delicious! I’d love to have it again!! The staff also graciously accommodated our request to add an extra Izu beef steak—thank you for that. Of course, we also enjoyed the kinmedai (golden eye snapper) and spiny lobster; everything was delightful. Both dinner and breakfast were highly satisfying, with so many side dishes that it felt overwhelming in a good way! The private-use baths allowed us to relax at our own pace without any rush. This has become one of the ryokans I'd love to visit again!

We stayed for one night to enjoy a luxurious trip with friends! The villa is right by the sea, and the view from the window was absolutely stunning...!!! We opted for no meals and cooked with ingredients we bought at a supermarket. The kitchen was well-equipped with plenty of cooking utensils, making it fun to prepare our meals! Although the villa is located in an area that’s a bit difficult to access by car, the owner kindly picked us up from the meeting point, so it wasn’t an issue at all! The owner was incredibly kind, and both the villa and our stay were wonderful. Thank you so much!

Due to the typhoon approaching the Izu Islands, I thought the weather might not be favorable, but there was hardly any rain or wind, making for a pleasant stay. The warm hospitality of the owner couple was comforting, and I was able to enjoy a wonderful autumn day. The open-air bath, full of handmade charm, made me forget the hustle and bustle of city life—it was truly impressive. The meals had an original touch unique to this accommodation; the sashimi made from local fish was excellent. The Shirodai (possibly Emperor Snapper?) was delicious. The simmered Kinmedai (Golden Eye Snapper) had just the right amount of sweetness and tasted amazing. Thank you for providing such a wonderful day! The guest's crab was adorable!
