Everything was excellent! The service was courteous and kind, the Room was clean, and the in-room bath was always filled with hot water and ready to use at any time. The meals were delicious, and all the drinks and light snacks in the lounge were wonderful as well! This is an Accommodation I would definitely love to visit again.

Everything was outstanding—the maisonette-style Room, the in-room open-air bath, the shabu-shabu course, the service, and even the Takayama ramen! Next year during Golden Week, we plan to stay in the main building. Next time, we’ll go for an all-beef feast. During Obon, we’ll stay at the annex again and play golf at Shokawa Kogen Country Club.

This is a relaxing Accommodation. The staff always welcome us warmly. There are also several international staff members, and I’m impressed by how well they speak Japanese. I hope they keep up the great work. The food is delicious, and no matter how many times I have it, I never get tired of it. This time, I tried the Western-style breakfast for the first time, and it was quite good. I will visit again. Thank you very much.

The staff’s hospitality, the pleasant and spotless atmosphere of the Facility, and the silky Onsen water that left my skin feeling moisturized were all wonderful. The Hida beef steak and every dish were delicious. I would love to stay at Hanaogi again when I have a chance to visit the area. I was completely satisfied in every way.

I stayed here for one night during the May holiday period. The room was very clean, which was great. From the 15th floor, I could only catch a brief view of the Northern Alps in the evening and early morning, but if I’m lucky enough to get clear weather next time, it would be an outstanding stay. Breakfast was delicious as well—these days many Hotels seem to be putting more effort into their food, and I really enjoyed it. Overall, this is a highly rated Hotel. I hear it will relaunch this autumn as an international luxury Hotel brand, and I’m very much looking forward to it.

Thank you for hosting us for the first time. We stayed in a Deluxe Twin Room on the top floor. It was spacious and clean—nothing to complain about. The open-air bath was also great. Since we left early, we did not have meals. We were very satisfied to stay at such an affordable rate. We would love to stay again next time.

The Room, breakfast, and bath were all clean, and we were satisfied. It’s a little distance from the sightseeing spots, but it’s within walking distance, so I think the location is good. I felt we chose a good Hotel at a reasonable price.

The location near Takayama Station was excellent and very convenient. Takayama sightseeing was close by, and as a couple in our 70s, we were able to enjoy about a two-hour walk. The Hotel staff were kind, so we felt comfortable staying there. We had both breakfast and dinner, and the meals were delicious. We would like to stay again and would recommend this Hotel to friends.

We stayed in a Junior Suite for two people for one night. The Room was very spacious, yet comfortably sized. We didn’t use them this time, but the Room also had a bathtub and shower, which seemed convenient if you prefer to bathe in your Room. There was no explanation about using the slippers and loungewear, so we weren’t sure whether they were only for use inside the Room or also allowed throughout the Hotel. Not only the Room but the entire Hotel felt very clean, making our stay pleasant. The large public bath was reasonably spacious and at a comfortable temperature. The outdoor bath had a gap beneath the fence, allowing us to enjoy the view. We could also enjoy the scenery from the relaxation area and unwind comfortably. Dinner was served as a kaiseki course featuring local ingredients, and everything tasted excellent. Breakfast was a buffet and was just as enjoyable. The location was also convenient, close to both the station and bus terminal.

After working in another prefecture, I checked in late at night and stayed here. The large public bath had a charming atmosphere, and the breakfast was high quality—I was very satisfied. Thank you for helping me with a forgotten item at checkout. I will stay here again.

I stayed here during a festival I’ve attended for the past four years. I truly love Alpina’s Onsen, and the pot bath is sometimes my favorite. This time, they prepared an excellent Room for me, and I was able to enjoy a comfortable and luxurious stay. I will definitely stay again.

I stayed at this Hotel to participate in the Hida Takayama Ultramarathon. It is conveniently located near the station, the Room was clean, and there is a large public bath, so I had a comfortable stay. The parking lot is also spacious and very convenient, and I would like to stay here again.

We stayed here for a family trip. We love Hida furniture, and we were delighted with the table and sofa in our Room. As for amenities, we wished there had been a towel for washing the body. We only had breakfast, but some dishes were served in small bowls, which made them easy to pick up. Everything was delicious. It’s a Hotel we would like to stay at again.

I have stayed at this Hotel many times since it opened. It’s a favorite of mine, packed with charm. The interior features abundant Hida-sourced wood, creating a calm atmosphere where warmth and luxury are beautifully balanced. Whether in the lobby or the guest Rooms, it’s comfortable everywhere. The Onsen is also outstanding, with blue mosaic tiles in the baths. They are not only visually beautiful but also pleasant to the touch, making it easy to truly unwind. There is an additional fee, but I especially recommend the private bath with a spacious deck—an indulgent experience in a fully private setting. Above all, my greatest pleasure here is dinner. This time, Perla caviar was served as an amuse-bouche—presented in the tin—which genuinely surprised me with its extravagance. From there, the course continued with spear squid, lobster, and Hida beef; every dish showcased superb ingredients along with the chef’s skill and sense of style. Each plate was moving in its own way—it was simply a wonderful time. The breakfast buffet is equally impressive. From local Takayama specialties to salmon marinade and their signature Hida beef curry, everything is so well executed that it hardly feels like typical Hotel breakfast—I was completely satisfied from the morning. Most memorable of all is the hospitality of the staff. Not only do they respond kindly and attentively whenever you need help, they also greet even casual travel conversations with warm smiles that make you feel truly welcome. If you stay here, I encourage you to chat with them—you’ll appreciate this Hotel even more. Room quality, Onsen, dining, and service—few Hotels deliver such a high level across every aspect. And despite that excellence, the Accommodation Fee is surprisingly reasonable; considering what you receive, the value for money is exceptional. For me, it’s one of my absolute favorite Hotels in Japan—one I will happily return to again and again.

This Hotel is located in a historic streetscape and is very conveniently situated. We were able to use a nearby restaurant for dinner, and the parking lot was also conveniently located in the adjacent building. In the evening, we enjoyed complimentary sake tasting, beer, and soft drinks in the lobby. We also had the breakfast we had reserved in the lobby. It was a bento made with local Takayama ingredients, but it would have been even better if it had been served warm. There were many international guests, mainly from Europe and North America, and breakfast seemed to accommodate halal and vegetarian options. It was clean, the service was excellent, and overall it was a great Hotel.

It’s very easy to use, and the thoughtful updates clearly reflect guest feedback, making it truly comfortable. I’d love to stay again.

I’ve stayed here several times. There are so many great points: it’s close to downtown, parking is free, there’s an Onsen, breakfast is inexpensive and delicious, and the staff are kind. If you’re going to Takayama, this is the place to stay.

It is in a very convenient location near Takayama Jinya, and free parking is also available. As it was right in the middle of the Hina Matsuri season, both the Hotel and the main building were decorated with many hina dolls, from old ones such as Goten-bina and Kyoho-bina to newly made dolls, which we really enjoyed. The seasonal kaiseki dinner was delicious, and even the tableware was thoroughly themed around hina dolls, making it an amazing experience. The Room had a river view that let us feel the atmosphere of the old townscape, and the Onsen bath was very relaxing. The staff were kind as well—this is a Ryokan I would recommend.

Although the building is old, the location is great, the Room was clean, and best of all, it was a good value for money.

Stayed in a Twin Room alone two weeks after the opening. Most guests are foreigners, and the city of Takayama is also filled with international visitors! The staff seemed inexperienced but within an acceptable range. Everything being brand new made the stay very pleasant. The TV is a smart TV comparable to those in a Business Hotel—excellent! The beddings were extremely comfortable for sleeping. The mixed open-air bath requires swimwear, so be sure to bring your own. While the Hotel was great, dining in Takayama city felt tourist-priced; location needs consideration. Famous Hida beef restaurants were fully packed. A hotel I would love to revisit!
