It was my first visit. I was completely satisfied with everything, but there are three highlights worth mentioning. I have stayed at many Hotels, and the dining here was exceptionally satisfying. It’s rare to find Western cuisine of this quality. I was amazed by the consommé made from chicken and vegetables—it concentrated the natural flavors of the ingredients beautifully. None of the dishes felt heavy, and I enjoyed everything right to the end. The ayu paired wonderfully with eggplant as well, and I was impressed by how it all came together. My husband and I even said we would like to stay again just for the meals. The wonderful location was also a major plus. I could truly relax while taking in such a luxurious view. I believe that’s thanks to how meticulously everything is kept clean—from the rooms to the large public bath and even the garden. We enjoyed coffee in the library, and used cups were promptly cleared away; there wasn’t a single unpleasant detail. Above all, what stood out most was how wonderful your staff are. Everyone—the person who provided Shuttle Service by bus, the front desk team, each member of restaurant service staff, and housekeeping—was warm and professional. There were also staff members with charming Fukushima dialects, which sounded lovely to me. In particular, one restaurant staff member remained poised while still engaging in pleasant conversation; unfortunately I didn’t get their name. I hope to see them again on my next visit. This time, we invited our eldest son and his partner. It’s a small Onsen, yet never crowded, so you can relax and truly enjoy it. Above all, the food was delicious—they were completely satisfied with their one-night stay. Perhaps it’s because Fukushima’s ingredients are excellent, but the dishes made the most of them. They said every dish was wonderful. And breakfast: they may have had a bit too much to drink, but they were very pleased with a breakfast that gently soothed them. The day before, they stayed at a Japanese-style Accommodation around Zao, but they preferred Aalto’s cuisine. Even as I write this review, I want to go again. Every time we stay, there is always at least one memorable dish—and when we return next time, an even more impressive plate appears. Our eldest son drinks quite a lot, and he said the wine and other drink selections were extensive and delicious—so he ended up drinking too much without meaning to. We look forward to visiting again soon.

This was my third stay, following last year, with visits in June and July this year. With the cool highland climate, I have also made a Reservation for next month. The room was thoroughly cleaned and very tidy, so I had a comfortable stay. The staff’s service was generally excellent, though a few seemed to have some difficulty understanding Japanese. The Onsen private bath was clean and relaxing, and I was very satisfied. The food quality was high, with great ingredients prepared deliciously. It seems they had my previous stay on record from last month, and they thoughtfully ensured the menu did not overlap—an attentive touch that made me very happy. The portion sizes were just right, though younger guests might find them a bit small. One suggestion: the dress code at meals is smart casual, but as this is a Resort Hotel, it may be nice to allow dining in loungewear so guests can relax. Some airlines provide pajamas in first or business class on long-haul flights to help passengers enjoy meals comfortably. I would appreciate it if you could consider this. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay.

We stayed for one night during summer vacation as a family of three. The food was delicious, and the bath was great. The Onsen kept us warm for a long time and helped relieve the fatigue from a long drive. Although dinner was buffet-style, we ate in a separate room from where we picked up the food, so we could enjoy our meal in a relaxed setting. The toasted marshmallows were also delicious. It’s close to the ropeway, and we received a discount, which felt like a great deal. The Accommodation Fee also felt very reasonable compared with other areas. We would definitely like to stay again!

The meals were delicious again, both breakfast and dinner. Our whole family was very satisfied, so we were truly pleased. If we have the chance to stay again next year, we would love to return. There’s something very relaxing about this place. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

It was busy because it was during the summer vacation season, but the bath was spacious, so it didn’t feel too crowded. The food was delicious, but I felt our table was a little far away. Overall, it was good!

This was our first time staying here on a summer vacation trip to Fukushima. Thanks to the clear, concise explanations and easy-to-follow guidance inside the Facility, we were able to move around smoothly throughout our stay. The afternoon lounge offers light bites for adults and snacks for children, making it perfect for a short break. The Onsen lounge had peach leaf tea that seemed great for hydration, Aizu rice tea, and warm amazake as well. While the kids relaxed in the hammock, adults could truly unwind too. We were surprised by the wide selection of alcohol in the evening lounge. And every snack was delicious! Many of our favorites were also available at the shop on the first floor, which was another nice touch. Not only the front desk staff, but also those handling cleaning and restocking in the Onsen lounge were very kind and pleasant. We would love to stay here again when we travel to Fukushima.

We stayed as a family with our dog, and it was a wonderful place, including the scenery along the way. At the cottage, we could enjoy our meals without worrying about time, and the bath was thoroughly cleaned so we could relax comfortably. We truly felt the hosts’ sincere hospitality in every detail. The sukiyaki dinner and breakfast bread were both delicious, and we were able to spend a relaxing, unhurried, luxurious time.

Two private hot spring baths, available 24 hours when open, are exceptional. One is an outdoor bath and the other is indoor. The outdoor bath is a bit small, so it might feel slightly cramped for two people, but the atmosphere is fantastic. The water flow is abundant. It's also convenient that you can check the availability of the baths from your room. The room had a private bathroom and toilet, but with only seven rooms in this accommodation and two private baths available, having a bathroom in the room might not be necessary. It would be nicer if that space were used to make the room larger instead. The room features a large TV with BS channels and thoughtfully placed USB outlets throughout—likely added later—which are very convenient. Meals have standard portions and variety but stand out for their excellent seasoning and creative presentation. Ingredients seem carefully selected as well. The wine selection appears to be sourced internationally by the owner; even as amateurs, we found both red and white wines delightful. The owner enjoys chatting with guests, making it enjoyable for those who like conversation. For those less comfortable with interaction, there's no overly intrusive approach typical of some accommodations like pensions. Pricing is reasonable, offering high overall satisfaction—a wonderful accommodation worth revisiting. One question: Is ordering at least one drink mandatory during meals? If so, it might be better to clarify this policy upfront since some non-drinkers may feel uncomfortable finding out on-site—even though soft drinks are available.

I visited again to enjoy the sauna. As always, this pension is very comfortable. The dog-friendly Room is spacious and cozy. The sukiyaki with horse meat for dinner was delicious, with tender meat. I had a delightful conversation with a couple from Niigata during the meal. Hearing about their efforts until the smelt fishing season opens made me appreciate being able to enjoy safe and fun smelt fishing. I plan to visit again at the end of the year and next year for smelt fishing!

The autumn leaves every year are unfortunately accompanied by bad weather, but this is my first time at the holiday village. The bath, room, and meals were excellent with no complaints. The buffet selection was great, and the delicious food, post-bath coffee, and ice cream were also enjoyable. It would have been even better with good weather to enjoy Mount Bandai together, but I was still satisfied.

Thank you very much for your hospitality. We enjoyed plenty of delicious, fresh seasonal vegetables. Everything tasted wonderful. It made us want to visit again in a different season. The food was so good that we forgot to take photos—so we only have the first and last ones. The Room was also very clean. Having a kitchen was great. The amenities were tasteful as well. Thank you again.

After many years, I stayed at a pension again. Compared to a Hotel, it may be less convenient as there is no toilet or bath in the Room, but the facilities were clean and I had a very comfortable stay. The close interaction with the owner is something unique to pensions. The balance of being close yet not overly intrusive was also very pleasant. Small conversations with the owner became wonderful memories as well. The natural beauty of Urabandai remains unchanged and is truly amazing. I appreciated that it hasn’t been overly commercialized as a tourist spot. I would love to visit again!

You can really tell the meals are prepared with heartfelt care.

This Accommodation is thoughtfully designed with attention to detail throughout. However, it was a bit disappointing that the air conditioner wasn’t turned on before check-in even though one is provided, the Room lighting was dim, and there was no TV.
