The front desk staff welcomed us with exceptional kindness. The Room was spacious and spotless, with a breathtaking panoramic view of Lake Toya. In the private open-air bath, we could soak in the Onsen while fully enjoying the spectacular scenery of Lake Toya. The open-air bath in the large public bath on the top floor was at the perfect temperature—never too hot—so we could relax without having to step out repeatedly. Looking down over Lake Toya from the infinity bath, we felt completely refreshed in both body and mind; it was truly outstanding. The dining was also excellent. The dinner buffet featured an abundant selection of fresh sashimi and nigiri sushi, including scallops, sea urchin, and shrimp. There were also hot dishes such as grilled crab legs and steak—all you can eat. Breakfast offered a wide variety of seafood as well, including raw surf clams and sweet shrimp, and our whole family was thoroughly satisfied with the meals at “Kohan no Sumika.” I have stayed at more than 70 Japanese Onsen Ryokan so far, but “Kohan no Sumika” is one of the few Hotels that I can say I absolutely want to return to. Thanks to the warm hospitality of all the staff, our family enjoyed an unforgettable and perfect stay. Thank you very much. 2. Business Courtesy Version (more formal and polite tone) This is a flawless Onsen Resort Hotel. I stayed at “Kohan no Sumika” on August 30. The front desk service was extremely courteous, and the Room was spacious, impeccably clean, and well maintained. From the guest Room we could enjoy sweeping views of Lake Toya, and in the private open-air bath we were able to savor both the Onsen experience and the beautiful scenery of Lake Toya to our heart’s content. The top-floor open-air bath had a wonderfully comfortable temperature that allowed for a long soak without overheating. Relaxing while looking down over Lake Toya from the infinity Onsen made for an exceptionally luxurious moment of calm. Dinner was highly satisfying: along with plentiful fresh sashimi and nigiri sushi—such as scallops, sea urchin, and shrimp—there were also all-you-can-eat options like grilled crab and steak. Breakfast likewise included seafood such as raw surf clams and sweet shrimp, leaving our entire family very pleased with its quality. Although I have stayed at more than 70 Japanese Onsen Hotels to date, “Kohan no Sumika” is one of those rare outstanding Accommodations that I would very much like to visit again. I would like to express my sincere gratitude for everyone’s warm hospitality; thanks to you all, our family enjoyed a truly perfect time together.

I’d been wanting to visit the Zushi–Hayama area for some time, and this was a hotel I’d had my eye on. We stayed to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and they thoughtfully arranged champagne in our ocean-view room along with a beautiful flower arrangement and other special touches—he was absolutely delighted. They also informed us about the spa in advance, so we quickly prepared swimsuits and were able to use it. The water temperature was very comfortable, and they even offered complimentary drinks, which made it feel like a wonderful escape from everyday life. We requested dinner from 5:00 p.m., and while watching the sunset we were able to relax and truly savor the meal, feeling the chef’s passion in every dish. The service staff were also gentle and gracious, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. We slept soundly at night, woke up refreshed in the morning, and enjoyed a lovely walk by the sea. We ordered breakfast via room service as well, which allowed us to take our time and unwind. My husband praised everything as beyond his expectations and would love to stay again. Thank you very much for your attentive hospitality. If I had to mention one small point: I felt the TV might be positioned a bit low.

We stayed as a couple in our early senior years. We thoroughly enjoyed both dinner and breakfast. At dinner, the eel (especially the skin), the ayu wrapped and baked in brick pastry, and the low-temperature cooked fillet were particularly memorable. At breakfast, the galette was especially delicious. The portions were just right, and even my wife—who usually cannot finish everything—managed to eat all the way through to the final warabi mochi this time. Our Room was a semi-suite with plenty of space, and we spent a very comfortable stay. My wife especially loved the refined beauty of the bath walls and the tatami flooring in the toilet area. However, we did notice some noise from the air conditioning (it seemed to be central heating rather than an in-room unit) during the night. A river with quite a strong flow ran beneath the window of one of your smoking rooms. Next time, we would love to stay in a riverside Room. The day after our stay, we headed to Senjojiki Cirque, and it was very helpful that you allowed us to leave our car parked in your Accommodation’s parking lot. Thank you very much.

We had a wonderful time again. I was truly happy and pleasantly surprised when you brought out a birthday cake for me. The food, the baths, and the staff’s service were all excellent, and even after six years, I’m glad we chose to stay here. We would love to visit again!

The trip was originally planned because we were determined to see Nagano’s first National Treasure—the octagonal three-story pagoda at Anraku-ji Temple. We enjoyed the journey, visiting the footbath, Kitamuki Kannon Hall, and Anraku-ji, but when we returned home, the memories of Ryokan Hanaya came to mind first. From the hospitality and cuisine to the marble bath, the wood-rich architecture and signage, and even the staff attire at breakfast and dinner—every detail reflected a sincere commitment to putting guests first. It reminded us what true “omotenashi” really is. Fresh flowers were arranged throughout the property as well, which was wonderfully calming. Thanks to you, we had a truly memorable trip. We usually travel as a couple a few times a year, mainly to Hakone, but this time we stayed one night at “Rinpo Kiryū” for our first family trip, including several celebrations. We have had the chance to visit many Accommodations, but we have never encountered one as wonderful as this—everything from start to finish was truly moving. We arrived about an hour before check-in time, yet we were warmly welcomed without hesitation. From the lovely commemorative photos for our celebration to the heartfelt message card with a photo, we were touched by the surprise hospitality and thoughtful care. We are genuinely grateful to have made so many unforgettable memories for our family trip. Thank you very much. Above all, what deserves special mention is the exceptional hospitality of the staff. From greeting us on arrival to seeing us off at the end, every moment was outstanding, and we were able to spend a truly relaxing time. Our assigned staff member was incredibly kind and always smiling; we enjoyed chatting with them, and our whole family was impressed by their attentive care down to the smallest details. The guidance around the property—like a paradise far removed from everyday life—was also thorough and considerate, and everyone we met greeted us with warm smiles that put us at ease. The Room was very spacious and kept beautifully clean. The bed was also ideal for us—comfortable without sinking in or feeling overly soft. (My wife is quite particular about beds and rarely says this at other Accommodations; I was surprised when she said she wanted to stay another night and didn’t want to go home yet.) During our stay, there was a private open-air Onsen bath exclusively for our Room with free-flowing water from 100% natural source spring water—no added water or heating—from the rare Dogashima Onsen source said to be “legendary,” so we could enjoy an Onsen soak anytime we liked. In addition, there is an indoor hinoki Onsen bath, a private sauna, and even a pool, which allowed our family to enjoy many different experiences together. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious; each dish was beautifully presented with great care and full of creative ideas from the chef. There were also many staff members on hand—the service felt perfect. In my experience so far, it’s rare to find an Accommodation where service is this attentive in every respect. More than anything else, being able to stay at “Rinpo Kiryū” became a wonderful experience for our family. Thank you again very much. We would love to visit again.

This was our first trip to Nagasaki for two nights, and it happened to coincide with our two dogs’ 3rd birthday, so we stayed at Villa Morocco. The moment we stepped inside, a wonderful, extraordinary atmosphere opened up before us. With carefully selected furnishings and appliances throughout—plus a washer and dryer, a popular high-end facial device, well-stocked amenities, cooking tools, and even lots of dog costume items—it was the first Accommodation we’ve ever stayed at that had absolutely everything so perfectly prepared. The bed was very spacious and comfortable, and combined with the quiet location, we slept soundly. There are many large shopping complexes nearby as well, which made it very convenient. Honestly, two nights just wasn’t enough (lol)! We’d love to stay again. Highly recommended!

We stayed mainly for the food, and it exceeded our expectations! Everything was delicious, especially the fish. I stayed here four years ago and came back because I was craving soba. The Onsen water still has that silky feel, and it’s as wonderful as ever. This time I enjoyed a Multiple Night Stay and was able to truly relax. The soup curry at breakfast was also delicious, so I bought soba dipping sauce and packaged curry as souvenirs. We laughed remembering how last time we wondered, “Can we get through this way?” and then had to turn back from a dead-end road—classic Hokkaido travel. It really reminded me that eastern Hokkaido has great Onsen Accommodations. I’d love to come again.

Our family of four stayed in a room with a private open-air bath, and it was amazing—even putting it mildly. The meals, baths, and views were all excellent. The food was generous and delicious, and at night we enjoyed a sky full of stars. The bath left our skin silky smooth—especially the morning bath, which I highly recommend. For the past ten years or so, my wife and I have been traveling all over Japan by car. This time, taking advantage of Silver Week, we were planning a trip to Kyushu and realized that in the southwestern part of Kyushu we had only visited Koshikijima with our children a long time ago. When I searched on IKYU, I found Villa Hikaruze. We were contacted to confirm our arrival time, and I wondered why at first, but when we arrived at Hikaruze, the Onsen bath had been filled in time for our arrival. It was two days of wonderful hospitality—perfect for seniors like us. Recently we’ve enjoyed visiting remote islands such as Goto, Iki, Rebun, and Rishiri, but Hikaruze’s location was even better. The weather was great, and we could see as far as the Amakusa islands in the distance. As for what this old couple looks forward to most—meals—the sashimi and meat were the best we’ve ever had. Since we don’t have much time left at our age, we’re looking forward to returning soon with our children. Thank you very much.

The lakeside views of Lake Ashi were stunning, the building was lovely, and with Kuzuryu Shrine nearby and the ropeway just a short walk away, we had a wonderful time. During our trip from the main island to Miyakojima, we stayed here for the entire time on the main island. The Room was spacious and very clean! We were truly touched by the honeymoon towel art and flowers that were prepared for us. The view of the ocean and Kouri Bridge from the Room was breathtaking. My husband was thrilled with the Agu pork shabu-shabu dinner. We also dined at a restaurant in the Hotel group, and it was delicious and stylish as well. Breakfast was delivered to our Room, and even during our Multiple Night Stay, they changed the menu each day—everything was so thoughtful. We had a wonderfully relaxing Hotel stay while enjoying a resort atmosphere, and our time on Kouri Island became an unforgettable memory. Thank you very much. We would love to stay again someday.

The Room was very clean and spacious. The view from the balcony was great, and I was impressed by how spotless it was—clean enough to lie down on. The staff were cheerful and kind. I would definitely stay here again!

I travel to Ise-Shima at least once a year. Each time, I look for an Accommodation with a private open-air Onsen bath in the Room. This stay at Haifu was truly wonderful—one of the best I’ve experienced. This time, we stayed in a special suite. First of all, taking a boat to reach the Accommodation really heightened the sense of being on a trip, and I couldn’t stop feeling excited. The Accommodation was beautiful and kept very clean, and the staff were excellent. The Room had an open-air bath with an ocean view. There is also frosted sliding glass that can be used as a privacy screen from outside. Soaking in the Onsen while watching the full moon and stars and listening to the sound of the sea was incredible. We were also able to enjoy our meals slowly in a private dining room. Both the taste and presentation were top-class. Haifu is an Accommodation you’ll definitely want to return to. I hope to stay again soon, and I look forward to visiting again then.

I stayed here to relax and unwind on my own. From the exterior alone it was exactly my style, and the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by the wonderful scent of wood—perfect. Although it’s surrounded by nature, there are shops nearby, so I felt safe and comfortable even traveling solo. The room was spotless and very comfortable. This was my first time staying for three nights, and everything was great—the service struck the perfect balance of attentiveness and distance. It was a bit pricey, but it’s now on my list of Accommodations I’d like to treat myself to again. If I had to mention one thing, I’d love the meals to have a bit more originality!

We checked in after doing some shopping at a nearby AEON. The Accommodation had everything we needed for cooking, including a pot and even a small hot plate, so it was easy to prepare meals (though you’ll need to bring your own seasonings). Complimentary drinks were also stocked in the refrigerator. Since it was our child’s birthday, we projected a birthday video with the projector and celebrated—it was a huge hit. The third-floor bath was spacious, and the Onsen water made it incredibly relaxing. The first-floor sauna was low-temperature, so my husband found it a bit mild, but I enjoyed taking my time and felt very satisfied. There was also a table on the balcony where we could relax, so we had breakfast there. Overall, everything was very clean, and having a washing machine was really helpful—everything about our stay was great. It’s an Accommodation we’d love to visit again.
