Inspired by their dedication solely to culinary excellence, we are seriously considering shifting our focus entirely toward such experiences. This time around, being able to enjoy my favorite scampi prepared in two different ways across two dishes made me incredibly happy. Even

The service strikes a perfect balance between attentiveness and unobtrusiveness, creating a comfortable atmosphere. The care for dogs is outstanding as well; during meals, they provide a special chair for your dog right next to you—a thoughtful setup that truly impresses. The g

This was a wonderful Accommodation where the owners’ sense of style and hospitality were evident in every detail. The clean Room, the handmade garden, and the carefully prepared meals were all warm and comforting, and we felt truly relaxed. Rather than the standardized service of a large Facility, we could really feel how much they love this place and are devoted to nurturing it. My elderly mother also said she would definitely like to come again, so we will surely visit again. Thank you very much.

I visited during the rainy season, a time I don’t usually choose. Both dinner and breakfast featured exquisite dishes that felt refreshingly cool to the eye and captured the early-summer atmosphere, lifting the gloom of the rainy skies. What makes this Accommodation truly exceptional is being able to enjoy outstanding cuisine at any time, thoughtfully crafted to reflect the season through sight, aroma, and taste. I also deeply appreciate the warm, friendly hospitality shown by all of the staff.

The much-anticipated dinner featured carefully selected local ingredients prepared with great care and served on thoughtfully chosen tableware. Each dish conveyed a deep commitment to quality and craftsmanship. As we enjoyed our meal, we felt both warmth and awe filling our heart

Staying at an inn with only three rooms really made me realize how that allows them to serve truly exceptional cuisine. The room we stayed in, “Korin,” had the bath and washbasin located outside the main room, which was a bit inconvenient. However, it comes with a dedicated dining room, so you can focus on the meal right away without leaving your room—and each dish is served at exactly the right moment. It’s been a long time since I so strongly appreciated the happiness of eating hot food while it’s still hot. From the appetizer through the lidded dish and assorted starters to the grilled course, every item brought out the full flavor of its ingredients. The grilled steak in particular surprised me: I honestly didn’t have high expectations for Tochigi Wagyu (sorry!), but it was incredibly tender, with a perfect balance of fat and lean meat. To be frank, we went to a famous steak restaurant in Nikko for dinner the next day, and this steak easily held its own against their Maezawa beef. The finishing soba was also excellent—I regret not ordering a larger portion. They serve two dipping sauces, one warm and one cold; personally, I recommend the cold one. I’m attaching a photo of breakfast as well—breakfast was wonderful too. If I have another chance to visit, I’d love to stay in a different room next time. Thank you very much.

I chose to stay here because of its charming atmosphere, and I was sure my husband would like it too. Before booking, I called to ask about the room amenities. The head chef handed the call over to a female staff member, but her tone felt a bit harsh, and for a moment I hesitated about staying. However, once we actually arrived, that impression completely changed. Everyone who assisted us during our stay was very warm and welcoming, with genuine hospitality, and there was nothing at all that concerned me. The property was spotless throughout, and the lounge was comfortable—I was able to relax at ease. Above all, the food was outstanding. Each dish was prepared with great care while considering harmony with soy sauce, and I could truly feel the craftsmanship, attention to detail, and passion behind the cooking. Although the dishes made excellent use of soy sauce flavors, they never left an overly salty aftertaste—even after finishing everything—and I enjoyed every bite until the end. Because dinner was so exceptional, I would have been even happier if breakfast had been a bit more substantial. Including not only the cuisine but also the atmosphere and overall comfort of the inn, it became a truly memorable stay. This is a place I would definitely like to return to.

Both dinners and breakfasts were excellent. The Room was clean and well maintained, and the Facility was well equipped; although I don’t usually do a Multiple Night Stay, I was able to relax and unwind at a leisurely pace. A Multiple Night Stay is highly recommended. In ter

This was our first stay here, and among all the places we’ve visited, it was the best Accommodation for Western-style cuisine. Thank you to all the staff for your hospitality from welcome to farewell. The Room (very relaxing) and the bath (the in-room bath was more than enough) were both excellent. Above all, the meals were outstanding—both dinner and breakfast. Each dish was beautifully presented (including the tableware) and delicious, and we were amazed by how many items there were in the Japanese breakfast (we finished everything). We will definitely visit again during the autumn foliage season. One request: it would be nice to have body wash towels available in the bath area.

The staff’s professionalism truly stood out, and it was a wonderful stay in every respect. From the fluffy towels in our Room to being thoughtfully seen off with an umbrella in the rain, every detail was well cared for and made our stay very comfortable. My parents were delighted

Room, bath, amenities, meals, and hospitality—everything was extremely satisfying. My grandchild is still very young, but we would love to visit again when they are older—I’m sure they’ll be delighted. Before that, we’ll be back again as a family (lol).

We stayed here with our dog again for the first time in three months, following our visit this June. Last time, the Italian food was so delicious that we decided to come back. Also, since you can dine together with your dog, you can relax and truly enjoy your meal. If your dog behaves well, they get a jerky treat as a reward—so our pup kept watching that staff member the whole time... We’d love to stay again.

The room was sophisticated and very comfortable. With a private hot spring bath in the room, we were able to enjoy bathing more frequently and casually than usual. As expected from an auberge, the meals were exceptionally delicious, and the timing of each dish was perfect. The st

I booked a one-night stay with breakfast included. Both the room and the baths were very clean. Even though the baths are available 24 hours a day, they were impeccably maintained, which really impressed me. I used the open-air bath and the hinoki bath, and they were wonderful. Skincare items and makeup remover were also provided. Breakfast was delicious as well. Since it’s easy for meals to become unbalanced while traveling, I really appreciated having a vegetable-rich breakfast. Also, one of my companions was celebrating a birthday, so I requested a dessert plate, and they prepared a truly lovely one. The staff were very kind, and this pension had outstanding hospitality. Thanks to staying here, our trip to Nasu became even more enjoyable! I’d love to stay again. Thank you very much.

We stayed here to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and it turned into a truly wonderful stay. We don’t drink alcohol, and when we mentioned that, they kindly replaced the drinks in the Room refrigerator with non-alcoholic options. We really appreciated such thoughtful attention. At dinner, they also gave my husband a single rose as a birthday gift. We were deeply moved by this unexpected and lovely gesture, and it became a great birthday memory. From the open-air bath in our Room, we could look out over the lake—the view was absolutely stunning. Soaking in the open-air bath while enjoying the expansive scenery was incredibly relaxing, and being able to enjoy the Onsen at our own pace whenever we liked felt like a real luxury. Dinner was delicious as well—especially the pizza! It was so good that we ended up having two. If I had to mention one small concern, since it’s surrounded by nature there were quite a few insects. When we tried to use the open-air bath at night, many bugs (like stink bugs) had gathered there, so unfortunately we gave up bathing at that time. That said, I think that’s simply part of staying in such a natural setting. More than anything else, what stayed with us were the view from our Room, the Onsen, the food, and the staff’s warm hospitality. We were able to celebrate my husband’s birthday in a wonderful way and made lasting memories. Thank you very much.

A luxurious Facility where extraordinary koi swim. We were able to enjoy a sand bath, a ceramic bath experience, and a private open-air bath at no additional charge. All staff were kind and provided attentive service. The Japanese cuisine served at the Yakusugi cedar counter was exquisite, with tropical fruits used throughout that were as beautiful to look at as they were delicious. The entire property was spotless and impeccably maintained, and the star-filled sky we gazed at late at night from the free-flowing natural hot spring open-air bath in our room was beyond words.

We’d been looking forward to staying here because of its great reputation for food. Every dish was carefully prepared, and the homemade sweet bean paste in the dessert was lightly sweet and delicious. We wanted to eat it again, so we made a Reservation for November. At the large public bath “Kawa-no-Yu,” you can enjoy natural hot spring water while watching goldfish. There is also a private bath on the 3rd floor of the main building. You can also use the private baths at the annex Tamaya, making this Accommodation perfect for amazing food and Onsen!

Located in a park, it offers a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. The Room is a soothing space featuring traditional washi paper. Every dish is thoughtfully crafted creative cuisine, delicious and made with plenty of local ingredients. The restaurant welcomes guests in yukata, and

We had a truly wonderful stay. We stayed for two nights with our 1-year-old daughter. Dinner and breakfast were included, and the food was outstanding. They thoughtfully accommodated our child’s meals, taking her egg allergy and the size of the ingredients into consideration, and she was very happy. The staff also looked after her throughout, so we could enjoy our meal with peace of mind. The Room has special touches that help you forget the busyness of everyday life. Thanks to that, we were able to enjoy an extraordinary experience we don’t usually get to have. We would love to return again next time.

This time, we made the trip and our wish came true. Every dish was, of course, delicious, and the warm hospitality of the staff created a very relaxing atmosphere. We heard that there is another auberge from the same group in Kanazawa, and we would love to visit there as well.
