My 88-year-old mother, my sister and I, my daughter, and my two grandchildren (six of us across four generations) stayed at Atami Korakuen Hotel for one night and two days. Although we were a group with a wide range of ages, everyone was comfortable, and we were very satisfied with our stay. The Shuttle Service bus from Atami Station to the Hotel was extremely helpful. Our Room was an 18-tatami Japanese-style room with large windows, so we could also enjoy the beautiful nighttime view of Atami town. The breakfast and dinner buffets offered a great variety—from dishes my mother enjoys to kid-friendly options—so everyone could enjoy the meals together regardless of age. The freshly grilled dried horse mackerel was especially delicious. The large public bath was equipped with a baby bath and baby soap, so we felt at ease bathing even with our young grandchildren. We truly appreciated the thoughtful attention to detail. When we asked the front desk to arrange a taxi for getting around, they responded quickly, which helped us a lot. This is a Hotel I can wholeheartedly recommend to families traveling with babies or elderly relatives. We would love to stay again as a family. Thank you for the wonderful memories.

There is an Onsen with an open-air bath on the top floor of a high-rise building right next to Oita Station, offering a panoramic view of the city. Breakfast was delicious, and the buffet with a boxed set allowed me to choose my portion size while enjoying locally sourced ingredients and regional dishes. We made a same-day Reservation for a family of four, and were truly impressed by the warm, attentive hospitality. The Ryokan has a wonderful sense of history and is beautifully maintained, making our stay very comfortable. Located right next to Izumo Taisha Shrine, we were able to visit early in the cool morning, enjoy a delicious local breakfast at the Ryokan, and take our time shopping afterward.

Although we stayed for only one night, it was a wonderful Accommodation with thoughtful services exactly where we hoped they would be. We could feel the attention to detail everywhere—an all-inclusive in-Room minibar, three kinds of cold drinks prepared at the large public bath, an impressive umeshu collection with 100 varieties (a paradise for umeshu lovers like us), and grilled fish for the Japanese breakfast that you can choose from three options. All of the staff were very cheerful and the overall service quality was excellent. In particular, we were truly moved by the attentive hospitality of the foreign male staff member who took care of us at dinner. We were also surprised by how fluent his Japanese was. Dinner was delicious as well, and we appreciated the focus on local ingredients. The Senju hot pot made with Masuda beef was wonderfully tender and rich. From check-in to check-out, we spent a genuinely relaxing time—simply gazing at the view from our Room in the rain and enjoying forest bathing in a private setting. It was an ideal vacation that helped us forget everyday life and feel refreshed both physically and mentally. If I may mention one thing, incense, fragrant olive flower arrangements, and stick diffusers were placed throughout the building. Even though we came to enjoy such clean air in this area, the scent felt a bit too strong. While you promote sustainability as an Accommodation, it felt somewhat contradictory—and disappointing—that even items like shampoo, body soap, and towels are fragranced. Some guests may enjoy fragrance, but others are sensitive to it as well; I would appreciate it if you could take this into consideration going forward. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay.

Including the Onsen, our Room, and the attentive hospitality of all staff members, everything from check-in to check-out fully matched what my spouse and I expect from an Onsen Ryokan, making our stay truly comfortable. The small space on the second floor also had a great view of Mt. Asama right in front of us, and it was truly relaxing to enjoy a drink while playing my favorite Western music. I stayed for two nights as a solo traveler. The Hotel and my Room were very clean, and I was able to enjoy the Onsen and large public bath comfortably. Although it was all-inclusive, I chose to add a luxurious dinner and breakfast on both nights, and I was truly impressed that the menus were changed each day. We stayed with our dog. It was our first time here, and we were so satisfied that we made a Reservation for next year during our stay. There is no Onsen, but the Room was spacious and very clean. The sukiyaki dinner on the first night was outstanding, and it was a new way of eating it for us. This was my first time staying here. The Room was a comfortable size even for three people, and we could see the sea diagonally across from the window. There is a smoking area on each floor. It was a bit hot outside during the day, but while having a smoke and looking at the mountains, we saw a Taiwanese squirrel dart by, black swallowtails fluttering around, and kites flying in the blue summer sky. Since it’s a retro-style Hotel, it gave us a pleasantly nostalgic feeling. My companion tried the set menu of an enzyme bath and foot reflexology massage and said it felt amazing! The enzyme bath was spacious, and the staff were very polite and kind—it seemed to warm up and relax both body and mind. The atmosphere in the Room is calm as well. Amenities like toothbrushes and toilet paper were properly provided. At night, the corridor outside the guest rooms had an Italian-style vibe—I couldn’t help murmuring, “How lovely!” The whole Hotel isn’t flashy, but it’s clean, quiet, spacious, and relaxing. After checkout we all agreed—“That was really nice.” It became a wonderful memory for us. I’d like to stop by again. Thank you for taking care of us.
