I traveled with my partner. The Hotel felt a bit old, but all the staff we passed greeted us warmly and cheerfully, which was very pleasant. They promptly assisted with the reservation call for river rafting and handled it efficiently. The meals in the morning and evening had a wide variety of dishes, were visually colorful, and used local ingredients, which I appreciated. The chicken in the hot pot was delicious, as was the rice. I would love to visit again if I have the chance. Next time, I’d like to try river rafting too!

We stayed in a barrier-free Room for my mother, who has difficulty walking. With an ocean view, we could see palm trees and passing ships, and enjoy views of Sakurajima. The bright, clean Room was very relaxing. The entrance door was a sliding automatic door. The bathroom and toilet were very spacious, and the raised toilet seat was comfortable. The Onsen also had a sauna, and the water was excellent. Breakfast was a buffet with a good variety and everything was delicious. The staff in the front lobby were refreshing and kind, making our stay very pleasant. We would definitely like to visit again.

I chose this Hotel because it was very reasonably priced and the buffet looked great. It’s close to the highway bus stop, and it’s also close to the bus stop for buses back to Hakodate Station. This time we stayed in a Japanese-style room with a partial ocean view, and it even had a wooden-floored area—spacious enough that it felt almost too big for three people. There were no steps, and the toilet and shower room were clean. The buffet was excellent: crab, of course, plus beef tendon curry, handmade fried shrimp and shrimp mayo, and an unusual but delicious ohagi dessert. I’m more of a bread person, and the breakfast bread selection was wide-ranging, high quality, and very tasty. We stayed two nights, but the food was so good that we never got tired of it. I also appreciated having mineral water in the refrigerator. Since this is a popular Hotel that gets crowded with groups and families with children, I think you can stay comfortably by checking in early or adjusting your timing slightly for meals or the baths. The building is spacious, with various well-designed Facilities such as a lounge where you can enjoy good coffee and play areas. There are elevators for each of the four buildings as well, so we had a fun stay without any stress. Rather than cold service rigidly following chain-Hotel manuals, we felt warm hospitality throughout that was fairly flexible depending on the situation. I visit Hakodate often, and compared with staying at Hotels around Hakodate Station area, I was more satisfied staying at this Hotel—so I’d like to stay here again.

Conveniently located near the airport, I always stay here for early morning flights. The beds are spacious and very comfortable. Thanks to the flowing Onsen, I had a great night's sleep. I didn’t have time for breakfast this time, but I’d like to wake up earlier someday and try it.

Thank you for your hospitality the other day. When I told you I can’t eat raw fish, thank you for preparing alternative dishes. The food looked great and tasted wonderful, and we also enjoyed the complimentary extra dish. The bath warmed me up so well that I stayed warm for a long time afterward. The detox water after the bath was also delicious. It was great to be offered a draft beer as a welcome drink at check-in—it was the perfect refreshing drink after a long drive. I would love to stay with you again.

The top-floor scenic bath was wonderful; the Onsen was very relaxing. It was great how the view changed between evening and morning. For dinner, since I’m not a fan of buffets, I chose the special kaiseki course. There were many dishes, and everything was delicious—from fresh fish to a tender filet steak. The Room was a modern twin, and the beds were spacious and comfortable. In the lobby there was a coffee machine, and it was nice that you could have as many cups as you liked during the available hours. If I visit Shodoshima again, I’d definitely like to stay here again.

The building itself felt a bit old, and I noticed a slight odor inside, but the Onsen and seafood were truly outstanding. Since the large public bath alternates between men and women, I only used one side, but it was spacious and comfortable. The water left my skin smooth and moisturized—it felt amazing. There wasn’t a place inside the tub to sit (with about half your body out), so I couldn’t soak for too long, but the open-air bath had a great atmosphere and I could relax without worrying about others. Our Room came with a private open-air bath, and the tub was even larger than it looked in the photos—there was plenty of space for two people to stretch out comfortably. It might even fit around three people with ease. Best of all, it was free-flowing natural hot spring water, so fresh water kept pouring in continuously—it felt wonderfully luxurious and incredibly relaxing. The crab I’d been looking forward to was also delicious—I think it was my first time ever getting completely full from crab. I was very satisfied with the sashimi and the salmon at breakfast as well. Of course, the steak was also very juicy and tender... That said, it seems rice and miso soup at dinner were brought after we asked for them (I’m sorry—I must not have listened carefully because I was captivated by the beautiful crab right in front of me). By the time they arrived I was already quite full, so I wished I had requested them earlier. There were thoughtful touches throughout as well—like a footbath inside the property and self-serve coffee in the morning. Everyone at both the dining area and front desk greeted us with smiles and were very kind, so we felt comfortable throughout our stay; it ended up being a truly refreshing trip that helped us unwind. I would definitely like to stay again.

Since New Year’s, we’ve been taking a one-night Onsen trip every month, and this time we chose Hirado after watching YouTube. Our main goal was to enjoy delicious sashimi. The sashimi was fresh and tasty, but compared with our previous stay, it was a bit disappointing that the slices were thinner. The meals were delicious, with a wide variety of buffet options—so much that we were completely full. We were very satisfied with both dinner and breakfast. We stayed in the new building; the Room was clean, and the Onsen was great. The staff were also very helpful. We’d like to stay again.

In a quiet location, the Room’s Onsen is also free-flowing, and bathing while feeling close to nature is wonderfully refreshing. Because it was the Obon season, there were no vacancies in the Room we wanted, and both the large public bath and the post-bath lounge area were crowded, which was a bit tiring. However, for a popular Accommodation at this price point, that’s understandable. Overall, we were very satisfied considering the cost. The front desk staff and the service during meals were excellent. The relaxation staff at the spa provided highly skilled treatments that felt great.

Due to my mistake, I thought I had made a Reservation for a Plan with dinner and breakfast, but it turned out to be without breakfast. At check-in, you confirmed it with me and added breakfast—thank you for noticing. Everyone was cheerful and kind throughout my stay, and I had a comfortable, enjoyable time. I was also happy to buy the Hotel’s original daifuku as souvenirs, and they were well received. The Onsen was wonderful, of course, and the meals were excellent as well. It was my first stay here, but it was reasonably priced and exceeded my expectations. With fewer smoking-friendly Hotels these days, I really appreciate it. I’ll be back again.

This was my second stay. I truly feel from the bottom of my heart that I’m so glad I found Haccho-no-Yu. Thank you always for your heartfelt hospitality. The baths and the Room are wonderful, but above all, the cuisine is exceptional. I thoroughly enjoyed the many creative dishes prepared by the head chef—they were absolutely delicious. Wearing a hat in the misty drizzle, I will never forget being able to fully enjoy the beautiful mountain stream and its free-flowing Onsen straight from the source. The abundant volume of hot water, like a geyser, was truly the height of luxury and made for an exceptional holiday. However, it was disappointing that some young people got heavily drunk in the river bath late at night and were shouting loudly, but when I reported it you responded immediately, which I appreciated. I was deeply impressed by your dedication to maintaining order at this traditional Ryokan even at the expense of sleep. I understand there are limits to judging guests in advance, but I feel it would be better to provide thorough reminders beforehand. Sorry for my blunt suggestion. I know it must be difficult with so many different kinds of guests. Still, I thought that filtering out preventable trouble as much as possible would also make things easier for your staff. After all, I want to enjoy this beautiful stream-side hot spring source in peace—and that tranquility is what makes the wonderful cuisine and Room truly shine.

This Accommodation features only 10 detached villas, surrounded by rice fields and the deep green of the mountains. You’ll be welcomed by Mi-chan, our resident cat, along with the friendly Kamo team. In the open-air bath attached to your Room, you might even be greeted by a tiny Japanese tree frog—small enough to fit on your fingertip. The meals are delicious and perfectly portioned. All staff were warm and welcoming, making our stay truly comfortable. We’ll definitely be back!

This was our first stay, and it was extremely convenient as the only Accommodation located within the Gotemba Premium Outlets grounds. We arrived at the Hotel early in the morning, and the front desk staff were very kind and attentive. They also stored our luggage for us, so we could head straight to the outlets. Check-in was at 3:00 PM, and when we returned to the Hotel, we were promptly shown to our Room.\n It was also great that guests can use the adjacent bathing Facility free of charge.\n Dinner and breakfast were buffet-style at the Hotel restaurant, with a wide variety of dishes—we were very satisfied.\n In addition, the view of Mt. Fuji from both the large public bath in the bathing Facility and from the Hotel lobby was truly spectacular.\n We will definitely stay here again.\n Thank you very much.

The Facility was beautifully maintained with well-kept trees and flowers, giving it a tropical vibe, and it was fun to stroll around while music played. Both breakfast and dinner offered a good variety and were delicious. I’m glad we chose a Room that included tickets to a nearby Onsen. It had many different baths, was spacious, and was excellent.

The Onsen was incredibly relaxing, and I was able to unwind and enjoy a peaceful stay. I also appreciated that it is free-flowing from the source and available 24 hours a day. The water temperature was just right, and it left my skin feeling silky smooth. We had dinner on a riverside dining platform, and it was wonderful to enjoy the scenery and the sound of the flowing river while eating. The meal was delicious and had a great seasonal feel. The staff were courteous, which made the stay very comfortable. I would love to return if I have the chance.

Late on a Friday in mid-September, my wife and I decided to spend the weekend at a quiet, rustic Onsen, so we searched on IKYU. We couldn’t go too far, so at first we looked into Kofu and Isawa along the Chuo Expressway. Then we found an Accommodation with photos of a stunning entrance—turns out it’s in Otsuki, a place we usually just pass by (sorry!). I hesitated for a moment after reading in a Review that there’s a narrow forest road on the way to the Accommodation (laugh), but I felt drawn to it and made a Reservation. After actually visiting—absolutely the right choice! It was exactly as I had imagined, and we were very satisfied with both the Onsen and the meals. In particular, given its riverside mountain setting, the salt-grilled char was outstanding. The choice of ingredients that matched the location truly impressed me. It felt like an adults-only hideaway, and the staff’s thoughtful sense of distance—attentive without being intrusive—was wonderful. My wife and I are already talking about coming back in another season. Thank you very much for everything.

This was my first time staying here. It was about a 15-minute walk (at a relaxed pace) from JR Chuo Main Line Ryuo Station. There is a 7-Eleven along the way. There are several chain restaurants near the Accommodation. Both the Accommodation and its Facilities have a retro Showa-era feel, but the free-flowing natural hot spring water is wonderful. There are two indoor baths; in one of them, you can soak while breathing in radon and ozone. There is also a separate cold-water bath, with continuously flowing water as well. The baths are available all night, but close at 8:30 AM, so be sure to take your morning bath early. The Room toilet has a washlet bidet seat. I had a very relaxing stay. After work, I took the limited express from Tokyo Station (the 6:15 PM Kaiji bound for Ryuo) and arrived in about two hours with no transfers. I would love to stay again if I have the chance.

The meals were delicious, and the horse sashimi we had for dinner was outstanding. The staff were very welcoming, from our arrival at the Ryokan to their attentive service during meals. It became a wonderful family travel memory. Thank you very much.
