I chose this Accommodation for my boyfriend’s birthday trip. It was my first stay here, and it far exceeded my expectations. Above all, the staff’s service was truly outstanding, and I was moved by every thoughtful gesture. The property has the charming presence of a grand traditional Japanese house, and the garden is beautifully maintained. We enjoyed a luxurious time dining at a relaxed pace while looking out over the garden. The basashi (horse sashimi) in particular was the best I’ve ever had—absolutely unforgettable. The Room was spacious and spotless, very comfortable, and the view from the window was wonderful. The building also has delightful surprises and playful touches that even first-time guests can enjoy, which kept me excited throughout our stay. They also offer an excellent selection of sake, so I especially recommend this Accommodation to sake lovers. It was one of the most memorable places I’ve ever stayed—completely satisfying in every way. I will definitely return.

Whenever you visit, you can count on peace of mind, safety, and exceptional cleanliness. If it makes people feel their best, it’s sure to be just as satisfying for dogs. No matter how many times we go, we’re always completely satisfied. -

I visited Hiiragiya again. I had made a Reservation for a Room with a bath and toilet, but I was first shown to a Room without them. It was still very comfortable, but when I asked to Check Reservation, I was told there had been a mistake, and you kindly arranged for me to stay in the Room associated with author Yasunari Kawabata. Thank you for your thoughtful care. Once again, I enjoyed Kyoto’s summer flavors—chilled edamame soup topped with sea urchin, pike conger sashimi, grilled tilefish with crispy scales, jellied soft-shelled turtle broth, Kamo eggplant with sesame sauce, and more—then fully enjoyed Yoiyama and fell asleep thinking of Mr. Kawabata before continuing on to the Gion Festival. Kyoto is changing little by little, but this is the beauty of Japan—and the spirit of Japanese hospitality—that I hope will be passed on to future generations.

It was a wonderful stay. I hope to visit again someday. If I could make one request, I would have preferred the bedside water to be a Japanese brand as well.

My friend and I stayed for one night and two days. That morning, we joined a river kayaking tour, and since there were no changing facilities near the river, I asked if it would be okay to arrive still wearing our wet wetsuits. They kindly agreed, which I truly appreciated. We were dropped off by the tour staff, and the moment we arrived, the breathtaking view of a beautiful infinity pool under a clear blue sky spread out before us—I couldn’t help but shout, “Wow, amazing!” We were shown to seats by the poolside, and even before checking in my friend said, “Wow… I should’ve brought my laptop. Next time we have to bring our laptops and stay longer for a workcation.” We were then shown to our Room. When I tried to open my suitcase, it wouldn’t open—an unexpected mishap—but after speaking with the butler right away they prepared an adorable tracksuit that could be worn over swimwear and arranged a rental car for us. Thanks to that, we were able to get it opened at a local gas station we had found in advance. For dinner, they prepared a handmade welcome plate inspired by the kayaking experience and the sea turtle nesting observation tour we had done—it was moving from the moment we sat down. Every dish was something new to us and absolutely delicious; in particular, I loved the peach sorbet served by the pastry chef. We got so caught up in eating and chatting that we stayed late, yet the chef still came out with a smile to see us off all the way until we boarded the golf cart back to our Room. The next morning we joined a kokedama (moss ball) workshop and enjoyed making one while learning all kinds of things about plants. I’ve forgotten the plant’s name now, but when I mentioned that I like tea, they also wrapped large leaves that can be enjoyed as tea together with my kokedama. We were probably the noisiest guests during our stay as just two people, yet everyone treated us with kindness until the very end—I’m nothing but grateful. Next time, I plan to bring my laptop and come back for a longer workcation stay.

With its rich history and tradition, along with the pleasant hospitality of the young staff, we were able to spend a truly comfortable time. I have heard that maintaining a historic building involves many challenges, but I sincerely hope it will be preserved just as it is for years to come. A clean Room, delicious meals, and a wonderful garden We would love to visit again.

My wife and I stayed here as a reward after work. Everything was wonderful—the butler service, the food, and the atmosphere. The early evening with a hint of autumn and the refreshing mornings were both amazing. Staying for about two nights would be perfect. Next time, I’d like to try another Room as well. Thank you—my wife was very satisfied too. The meat miso we received was so good we couldn’t stop eating rice.

We were extremely satisfied with everything—the service, the meals, and the Room. Every dish was delicious, and both dinner and breakfast were outstanding. The service was excellent as well and made us want to come back. It was hot this time so we couldn’t take a walk around the garden, but we’d like to visit again in a different season and enjoy a stroll through the garden. The food looked so good that we only managed to take photos of the appetizers.

I stayed at Hotel Mukaitaki in Tsuchiyu Onsen. What I especially loved this time were the cuisine, the open-air bath in the Room, and the strong sense of privacy. Dinner was carefully prepared dish by dish, and the surf clam shabu-shabu and Fukushima beef were outstanding. The surf clam’s texture and sweetness and the rich flavor of the Fukushima beef were both excellent—these were the most memorable dishes of my stay. Above all, the open-air bath in the Room was amazing. Being able to enjoy the Onsen freely at any time without worrying about others is truly special. Perhaps because there are only a few Rooms, I hardly ran into other guests during my stay. The building was very quiet and felt extremely private. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to relax at an Onsen Accommodation without being concerned about other people. The staff’s thoughtfulness was also wonderful—they escorted me to and from the parking lot at both arrival and departure. They even gave me souvenir rice balls on my way home. It was warm hospitality from start to finish.

This was our 12th stay. It’s one of our favorite Accommodations as a couple. We love being able to relax in a quiet place with nothing around. The Room is spacious, clean, and comfortable. We would be happy if there were a small buffet, such as a salad bar, not only at breakfast but also at dinner. We had another very pleasant stay this time as well. We’d love to come again. This was my first stay here, and I was extremely satisfied! The size of the building felt just right, and I was able to relax comfortably in a calm atmosphere. The Onsen had excellent water quality, and every time I bathed it was soothing and truly refreshing. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious—I was genuinely impressed. I was finally able to stay at Shima Kanko Hotel The Bay Suite, which I had long admired. It was an even more wonderful holiday than I expected. The staff’s service, the cuisine, and the Room were all outstanding—I was truly impressed. If I have the opportunity, I would love to visit again. At IKYU, it was categorized as casual, but we enjoyed a luxurious Onsen experience that felt like staying at a private villa. The Room had a spacious washroom, and the toilet being separate was also convenient. The heater in the Room was turned on in advance, so we stayed warm without needing to use the air conditioner. Various thoughtful touches were noticeable throughout, and I heard that adjustments are made regularly. It had such a pleasant atmosphere that made us wish to stay longer. Here are some points of concern: It would be helpful if spare foot mats were provided for the private bath so they can be replaced after use. The abundance of wash towels was very convenient. A single fresh flower in the Room would add charm since there were flowers in the dining area. During meal service, providing more details about local ingredients or cooking methods would be appreciated by travelers—it may require extra effort from staff but makes for enjoyable conversations while savoring meals. Having a menu list would also enhance the dining experience further.

Every staff member was attentive, the Hotel was spotless and dust-free, the Room air felt fresh and clean, and it was a quiet, comfortable space you wouldn’t expect in the city—an outstanding Hotel. Breakfast was also excellent: eel rice bowl, chirashi sushi, miso soup, melon, and more such as tsukudani and Toraya sweet bean paste—everything was thoughtfully selected down to the smallest details, so I could relax and enjoy it little by little. I’d love to stay again.

Our three-generation family stayed for two nights, and everyone was thoroughly satisfied—not only with the magnificent views from the lobby and our Room, but also with the wonderful hospitality and delicious meals. The staff’s attentive, warm service and smiles were especially memorable, and we felt a gentle, clear, comfortable atmosphere throughout the Hotel. Shizuoka has many sightseeing spots, including history museums that children can enjoy and Shizuoka Municipal Nihondaira Zoo (this zoo has many thoughtful touches and is truly recommended), making it enjoyable for all ages. After check-out, we also went to Shimizu Port to enjoy dining and shopping. We visited several attractions including Toshogu Shrine, but there was so much to see that next time we would like to stay at this Hotel again and take more time to fully enjoy the places we visited on this trip as well. The guest room was very clean, and we were able to relax and fully enjoy the semi-open-air bath. We also made a Reservation for the sake pairing Plan, and they suggested many types of sake that matched our preferences, which made it a wonderful experience. The food was delicious as well—this is an Accommodation we would love to visit again! All of the staff were kind, making this trip truly unforgettable. Thank you very much.

It had been since last autumn, but this is an Accommodation that soothes me no matter when I visit. Of course, the Room and the Onsen are wonderful, as are the meals—modern French with witty, thought-provoking menus each time, and a Japanese breakfast made with carefully selected ingredients—but even more than that, I’m always delighted by the staff’s quiet attentiveness everywhere, including turndown service during both dinner and breakfast. I go outside the rear entrance to smoke each time, and there was a small bench that hadn’t been there before. Near the exit were several mats you can use on the bench. I was moved by these little touches and found myself even more captivated by Kokon. I’m already looking forward to deciding when to visit next.

It was a wonderful trip—100% perfect. Of course, I would 100% recommend it to friends and acquaintances. The Room had an ocean view, and it felt like looking at a painted seascape. I requested Japanese-style meals, and everything was truly satisfying. The bath was great, the meals were great, the amenities were well stocked, and the Room was excellent. Since I informed you in advance that I have a disability, I was also able to park properly in the Hotel parking lot. It really was 100%. Thank you very much. This became a memorable trip, and I’m truly happy about it. I hope to visit again someday. Thank you again very much.

I stayed in a garden-side suite with a friend to celebrate my birthday. From check-in, the staff welcomed us warmly, and they had champagne and flowers prepared in the Room, which truly moved me. We also received handwritten birthday cards from many staff members, and I am deeply grateful for their heartfelt hospitality. We relaxed in the club lounge and spa, then took an evening stroll through the illuminated gardens on our way to “Unakiku.” With the enchanting garden views and delicious meal, we were able to enjoy a truly luxurious time. The next morning, we could admire the beautiful Tokyo Sea of Clouds enveloping the gardens from our Room—it was such a wonderful view that made us forget we were in the city. Thanks to all the staff, I was able to spend an unforgettable birthday. I would love to visit again in a different season.

We stayed as a mother-and-daughter trip to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. We have stayed at many Accommodations, but our time at Fufu Nikko was truly unforgettable and the best we have ever had. The Room was extremely comfortable, and the in-room Onsen was wonderfully relaxing—we enjoyed it many times during our stay. The dining was also outstanding. Each dish was beautifully presented on lovely tableware, and you could feel the care and attention of the chefs. Everything tasted delicious. The final dish—rice with conger eel and lotus root—was especially wonderful, but we were so full that we couldn’t finish it. That is my only regret. Even now, my daughter and I still say, “We really wanted to eat all of that.” The whole cake we requested in advance for my daughter’s birthday was also set up beautifully when we returned to our Room after dinner. They even added flowers along with the cake, which deeply moved my daughter. Thanks to your thoughtful touch, it became a truly memorable birthday. Above all, what stayed with us most was the hospitality of your staff. From the warm welcome on arrival to the farewell at departure, everything felt comfortable. Wherever we went, everyone greeted us kindly, and each small gesture of consideration felt genuinely heartfelt. The explanations during meals were clear and attentive, and even our casual conversations in between were enjoyable. The service never felt formal or stiff—just perfectly attentive with a comfortable sense of distance—and both my daughter and I were completely charmed by it. Of course the Facility and cuisine were wonderful as well, but this stay reminded me that what ultimately makes you want to return is always “the people.” Even after coming home, my daughter and I haven’t stopped talking about Fufu Nikko. We’ve become big fans of “Fufu,” and are already planning which one to visit next—with an ambitious goal of visiting them all. I sincerely thank all of your staff for turning this important birthday trip with my daughter into such a beautiful memory. We will definitely return again. Thank you very much.
