I originally made a Reservation at “Nene no Michi Bettei,” but due to a change in Room allocation, I ended up staying at Hotel VMG Kyoto Kamogawa. From check-in to check-out, I was deeply impressed by the staff’s impeccable attention to detail and thoughtful hospitality. Sleeping in the bedroom while gazing up at the coffered ceiling felt like an “exceptional escape from everyday life.” At the paid lounge, alcohol and other drinks are available free-flow, with snacks as well—it truly feels like a private lounge. Because the property preserves the character of a historic building, soundproofing is not perfect; however, it more than makes up for it with an elegant, nostalgic atmosphere. The Japanese-style room next to the bedroom overlooks a small courtyard garden and offers a wonderfully atmospheric view that made time feel as if it passed more slowly. That said, perhaps because the air conditioning does not reach this room easily, I found the heat noticeable. Although it would involve additional cost, lending spot coolers or simple heaters to guests upon request during limited seasons (summer/winter) could help make better use of this room and may also become a new experiential highlight—especially for international travelers. I’m truly grateful to all of the staff for giving me such an extraordinary stay. This is a Hotel I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone seeking an “indescribably exceptional escape from everyday life.”

I fell ill and had to ask my brother’s family to go in my place. My nephew loves rice, and I have never seen him eat bread. However, dinner was bread-based, so they assumed he wouldn’t eat much. Instead, they said everything—the dishes and the bread—was delicious, and the three of them finished a meal meant for four. They also told me breakfast was truly wonderful. My brother and his wife, who are constantly worried about their son, said they had a very comfortable Hotel stay thanks to the excellent care from all the staff. Thank you very much for your kindness. Thank you as well for the get-well gift for me. June is both my birthday month and your Hotel’s celebration month, so I was disappointed that I couldn’t visit myself. I hope to visit again soon.

Compared with my memories from years ago, it had changed a lot. I stayed at Nisshokan, and it had just reopened the day after renovations, so I was very satisfied. The bath was also great. Payment was automated with plenty of machines available, so everything went smoothly. They transported us from the parking lot by a small shuttle bus (they also asked whether we preferred the boat).

I had always remembered that my late mother stayed here about 35 years ago and said it was a wonderful Hotel, so I decided to stay this time. We originally made a Reservation for two Rooms for six people across three generations, but one person couldn’t come due to work, and then two days before our stay my father and brother (in a separate household) came down with fevers from colds. In the end, our group was reduced by half, but despite the repeated changes, you handled everything very kindly and thoughtfully. Thank you. We arrived at 11:30 after checkout time and planned to park our car first and go sightseeing in Matsushima by the Hotel shuttle bus. However, your staff told us we could complete check-in procedures in advance, and when we returned they arranged it so we could simply pick up the key at a separate counter and go straight to our Room. This helped us avoid crowds and was truly appreciated. Because I have difficulty walking, I requested an ocean-side Japanese-Western style Room. The view was excellent, the Room was very comfortable, and the air conditioning was just right. We could see the sunrise directly in front of us. For dinner we chose the seafood buffet; there were many kinds of sashimi and grilled items, each dish was high quality—it was outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed it. At breakfast as well, they cooked items like cheese omelets individually on the spot for each guest. The food exceeded our expectations! As for the baths, there were no issues at all. At sunrise time, watching the sun rise over Matsushima Bay right in front of the open-air bath moved me deeply. For someone like me with limited mobility, getting around was easy—the layout made sense and walking distances were reasonable—so it wasn’t physically taxing. It helped me truly understand why my mother, who had limited use of her hands and feet due to a similar condition, said this Hotel was so good. With check-in at 14:00 and checkout at 11:00, being able to relax without rushing is another great point. The staff service; the view from the Room; amenities; meals; baths—everything made this an excellent Hotel. When I come to Matsushima again, I sincerely want to stay at Taikanso again! Since expectations are high now that I know how good it is firsthand next time I'd like a Multiple Night Stay so I can enjoy other meals as well. Thank you very much for taking care of us.

Once again, we had a wonderful time and were able to relax. We enjoyed the beautiful night view from the Aqua Lounge, and lunch at Rendez-Vous was also delicious. As always, all of the staff were very kind and friendly, and every time my mother and I say, “That’s the Imperial Hotel.” Ever since we held our wedding here 35 years ago, it has been our favorite Hotel. We will visit again.

We stayed here on a family trip with children. The staff at the morning buffet venue were exceptionally attentive, and we enjoyed delicious breakfasts every morning. Our children looked forward each morning to making and eating miso ramen. Curry and soup curry were served on alternating days, and both were very tasty. We stayed in a family room, and with the extra beds our whole family was able to rest comfortably. The bathroom also had a washing area, which was excellent. I imagine there aren’t many guests staying three nights or more (Multiple Night Stay), but with breakfast alternating by day only, it might start to feel a bit repetitive—so I felt that having even a few daily-changing items would increase satisfaction even more. Also, since the milk was low-fat, our children said they wanted regular milk. They had been looking forward to Hokkaido milk, so I felt regular milk would be more satisfying. We had an extremely comfortable stay, so when we stay overnight in Sapporo again, we will definitely choose this Accommodation.

We stayed for one night and two days in May, when the fresh greenery was beautiful. All the staff—at the front desk, in the restaurant, and housekeeping—were very pleasant, and we had a comfortable stay. The Room was spacious, and the view from the window was outstanding. The Italian course meal was also delicious. After check-out, we enjoyed a trip to Chikubu Island from Nagahama Port right in front of the Accommodation. We plan to visit Shiga again and would definitely like to stay here again.

This was a trip I had been looking forward to, imagining Hakone as a cool summer retreat. With the typhoon’s influence, the weather was unpredictable—sunny at times, then suddenly rainy… Still, during our stay at the Hotel it remained cloudy enough to go for a walk, and I was satisfied. My first impression of the Hotel was that the Rooms are arranged along the building’s curved structure, and I was truly impressed by how calming it felt no matter where you were. Since dinner coincided with a family birthday, we appreciated the congratulatory words and the thoughtful attention from the staff. Thanks to them, we had a wonderful time and were very happy. Thank you very much. As for portion sizes, they were just right for me, and each dish was carefully prepared and delicious. For breakfast we chose the buffet. There was a wide variety—too much to try everything—but it felt a little cramped when carrying plates while choosing dishes. The guest room was clean and beautifully maintained. We could catch glimpses of Mt. Fuji from our Room, and we found comfort in the quiet of Lake Ashi and birdsong—it was very relaxing.

This is my third stay here. Once a year when I visit Kobe, I stay with my grandchild. My 15-year-old grandchild really loves it and always says, “I want to stay at the same Hotel again this year!” Drinks and shampoo are available in front of the front desk, which also seems to be one of the highlights. Breakfast offers a great variety and is very delicious. My grandchild ate a lot from the morning. The staff’s service with warm smiles (especially the male staff) was wonderful. The front desk staff were also very pleasant, and I was able to check in and check out comfortably. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and there was also an air purifier, so I could sleep peacefully and feel refreshed. The Room was clean and well maintained, so we had a very comfortable stay. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

It was my first stay in several years, and the kind, attentive service was outstanding. I stayed for three nights, and the breakfast offered a wide variety with thoughtful touches to keep it from feeling repetitive—I was truly impressed. Maintaining the same level of service every time is not easy, but you do it consistently. The teamwork among the staff is also excellent. With its great location above ground at Namba Station, this Hotel is perfect for active travelers. I’ll be back again.

From my first stay, I was impressed by the wonderful attentiveness of the breakfast venue staff, and since then I have decided to stay here whenever I am in Kanazawa for work. This year, I was relieved to see the same staff members again. Even though they seem busy with many international guests, I am always impressed by the thorough cleanliness and hospitality throughout the Hotel.

My grandchild fell asleep during dinner, and the staff kindly prepared a chair that could also be used as a baby bed, which was very helpful. Thank you very much. The front desk staff were also courteous and made us feel welcome. If I had to mention anything, it might have been even better if there had been a pleasantly scented air freshener in the hallway leading to the pet rooms. Also, since we brought two Yorkshire Terriers, it would have been nice to have a few more pet amenities available.

Unusually for our family trips, we had dinner served in our Room and slept on futons laid out in a tatami-style Japanese Room, which reminded me again that Japan’s Ryokan culture is something to be proud of worldwide. Dinner was a course focused on carefully selected ingredients with modest portions, but it was more than enough for us—we were truly moved by the beautiful, delicious dishes. The deep-sea blackthroat seaperch (nodoguro) fried and topped with thickened sauce was especially outstanding. Breakfast was also a feast, charmingly arranged like a Shokado bento using local ingredients. At night, we lay down on the neatly made futons chatting, and before we knew it we had fallen asleep—when we realized it, it was morning. Does happiness get any better than this? The woman who looked after us—was she the proprietress or an attendant?—was wonderful. From explaining each dish and laying out the futons to helping us plan our itinerary and guiding us to the free Yasugi-bushi stage show (it was amazing—a must-see), explaining that the Onsen is free-flowing from the source, what the Onsen symbol means, and even soothing our baby—she felt like both a concierge and a dependable, knowledgeable mom. The bath was of course at just the right temperature and wonderfully open-air—we were completely satisfied. And despite all this, it was very reasonably priced. We would love to come again.

The food was delicious and made us feel so content, and since my husband’s birthday was coming up, you even celebrated it for us! We were deeply moved by your thoughtfulness. It became a truly wonderful memory. Thank you again! The spacious and spotless private family bath was amazing, and the Onsen water quality was excellent—simply the best! We were also really happy that the Onsen hair dryer was a ReFa. We highly recommend this comfortable, wonderful Hotel. Thank you so much for all your lovely hospitality!! After watching the Awa Odori, our family of four stayed here. We couldn’t find anywhere in Tokushima City with two Rooms available, so we chose this place by elimination—but we were very satisfied. The Rooms were connected Rooms, with two Rooms linked by an internal door when opened. The beds were bunk beds, which our kids found really fun and enjoyed a lot. The bath was available until 9:30 a.m., so even though we checked in at 11:30 p.m., we could relax and enjoy it. The water had a slightly salty quality and the temperature was just right—excellent overall. Breakfast focused on organic ingredients and was served buffet-style; everything was delicious. We hadn’t heard of this Hotel before, but it was clean and very nice. We’d definitely like to stay again if we have the chance.

I stayed here during a touring trip. I was able to park my motorcycle in a covered parking area, which gave me peace of mind throughout my stay. After the journey, I refreshed thoroughly in the large public bath and sauna. The sauna in particular was excellent and helped me relax and recover comfortably. The Room was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, all delicious, and it was a great way to recharge with plenty of energy for the day. This was a highly satisfying Hotel that I can confidently recommend to anyone traveling by motorcycle. I’d love to stay again when I’m in the area. Thank you very much.

The Room was very clean and lovely, and I had a comfortable stay. The windows open fully, so you can really enjoy the riverside atmosphere. In the morning, I could even see boats collecting clams. It’s also close to the bus stop, making it convenient for getting anywhere. Everyone at the front desk and the cleaning staff were kind and helpful. The bathroom was clean as well, and it was very pleasant to use. One downside was that there was no luggage rack. Since I have back pain, I placed my luggage on the desk with permission, but then I couldn’t use the desk, which was disappointing. Also, not having a clock by the bed was a small inconvenience. If these points are improved, I think it would be an even more comfortable stay. That said, it’s a wonderful Hotel. I’d definitely like to stay again if I have the chance.

We stayed here as a family to celebrate my mother’s 77th birthday and an early birthday party for my younger sister. They prepared a lovely birthday card and a whole cake topped with plenty of fruit, which made both my mother and sister very happy! The house was extremely clean, and every detail was thoughtfully arranged to make the stay comfortable. The private chef was also very friendly and carefully accommodated our requests in advance. We could truly feel the owners’ commitment to putting guests’ comfort first. Thank you so much.

The service was arguably the best we have ever experienced. The Facility was, of course, excellent, and the meals were top-class in both quality and portion size. What impressed us even more was how kindly and thoughtfully you advised us regarding the Shuttle Service. Getting to Kirishima Shrine can be inconvenient due to limited transportation, but thanks to everyone at the Accommodation, we were able to visit Kirishima Shrine very comfortably. We would like to express our sincere gratitude once again. Thank you very much.

This was our second stay at Umekiya. We stayed once before and it was so great that we chose it again. The owner talked with us about why we picked this place again, as well as products made on Awaji Island and shops run by local creators, and we were able to actually stop by. They also share recommended spots around Awaji Island. On our second visit, we used a nearby super sento. It was extremely crowded with locals, so while Umekiya doesn’t have a bathtub, if you want to take your time in the bath, it’s better to use Umekiya. The Wi‑Fi in the Room (which didn’t work well last time) had been improved, but the best part is spending time enjoying the atmosphere in the shared space on the first floor while having free drinks. There are two shared toilets, but my family wished they were separated for men and women. It’s also hard to tell whether someone is inside; even though one of them was vacant, I was knocked on and asked to hurry up. It would be helpful if it were easier to see whether each toilet is occupied or not. If we come back to Awaji Island again, this is a place we’d like to stay at.
