We enjoyed a “staycation,” with lounge hopping across four lounges as the main highlight. First, we walked from Shinagawa Station to the Hotel, but IKYU’s directions said “cross Daiichi Keihan…,” so we crossed the signal right after exiting the Takanawa Exit. However, the route to the right after crossing was blocked due to construction, so we had to turn back. After exiting the Takanawa Exit, it’s best to turn right and walk along Daiichi Keihan, then turn left at the first traffic light onto Sakura-zaka. Alternatively, since it’s a continuous uphill slope, I think taking the shuttle bus would be a good option. We visited all four lounges, and as expected, Hana-Kouro’s lounge was the most relaxing; the drinks were also of higher quality and excellent. The champagne during cocktail time—and Dassai—was a real treat. We also enjoyed tasting different sake. There were some light bites during cocktail time, but it would have been even better if there had been additional hors d’oeuvres. Breakfast was delicious as well. It was our first time trying a matcha grinding experience, and we really enjoyed it. At the lounge, the staff maintained just the right level of attentiveness throughout without being intrusive, which made it very comfortable. Thank you very much for taking such great care of us. We traveled to Miyazaki from Osaka as a family of three for our daughter’s birthday, because she wanted to try authentic spicy ramen. It was a very hot midsummer day, but the Room was cool, clean, and comfortable. The bathroom with a jet bath was spacious, and we were also delighted with the BVLGARI amenities. Since we hadn’t made a Reservation for the dinner course, we asked for à la carte at the restaurant at short notice. The cheerful chef kindly listened to our requests, and we enjoyed delicious Miyazaki beef and wine in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. For breakfast, the three of us ordered different dishes—Japanese-style breakfast, Western-style breakfast, and Eggs Benedict—and everything was excellent. As we didn’t need to drive anywhere afterward, we were able to enjoy plenty of drinks from the morning. In particular, the original(?) sausage in the Western-style breakfast was so flavorful that I wished I could have had more—either as seconds or even as a takeaway. During our stay, they also prepared a birthday celebration plate for our daughter, recommended a great spicy ramen shop, and gave us time to relax in the lounge with drinks while enjoying conversations with our daughter that we don’t often get to have. Thanks to this warm hospitality from all the staff who created such a welcoming environment, it became an extremely comfortable trip to Miyazaki. I truly think this is a highly recommended Hotel. To all the staff members: thank you very much for such a wonderful time.

This was our first trip traveling with our dog. The Room was clean, the amenities were well stocked, and the food was very delicious. The staff were also kind to our dog. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

This was a wonderful guest Room worthy of the “Special Suite Annex.” In particular, the Japanese-style Room facing Lake Shinji was a corner Room with a small Japanese garden, and we were able to relax while sitting on the veranda. It was unfortunate that we couldn’t go out onto the terrace due to the rain, but we were able to take our time soaking in the Onsen in the in-Room scenic-view bath while looking out over Lake Shinji. Each dish was excellent, and the sea bream rice at breakfast was outstanding.

From the attentive staff and beautifully prepared, delicious cuisine to the spotless Room and two different baths that were both wonderfully relaxing, our stay was satisfying from start to finish. The Japanese sweets provided in the Room were especially delicious—I almost wanted to buy some to take home (they may even be handmade). If I had one small wish, it would be that the lounge drinks included alcohol, which I personally think would have made it even better. The staff’s warm smiles were the best hospitality of all.

We stayed as a mother-and-daughter trip to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. We have stayed at many Accommodations, but our time at Fufu Nikko was truly unforgettable and the best experience we could have hoped for. The Room was extremely comfortable, and the in-room Onsen was wonderfully relaxing—we enjoyed it many times during our stay. The dining was also outstanding. Each dish was beautiful to look at, thoughtfully presented on lovely tableware, and you could really feel the care and attention behind every detail. Everything tasted delicious. The final dish—rice with conger eel and lotus root—was especially wonderful, but we were so full that we couldn’t finish it. That is my only regret. Even now, my daughter and I still say, “We wish we had eaten it all.” The whole cake we requested in advance for my daughter’s birthday was also set up beautifully when we returned to our Room after dinner. They even added flowers along with the cake, and my daughter was deeply touched by their thoughtfulness. Thanks to you, it became a truly memorable birthday. Above all, what stayed with us most was the hospitality of the staff. From the warm welcome on arrival to the heartfelt send-off at departure, everything felt comfortable. Wherever we met someone, they greeted us kindly, and each small gesture of consideration felt genuinely warm. The explanations of each course were clear and attentive, and the casual conversations in between were enjoyable as well. The service never felt formal or stiff—just perfectly attentive with a comfortable sense of distance—and both my daughter and I were completely charmed. Of course the Facility and cuisine were exceptional, but this stay reminded me that what ultimately makes you think “I want to come back” is always the people. Even after returning home, my daughter and I haven’t stopped talking about Fufu Nikko. We’ve become big fans of “Fufu,” and are already planning which Fufu property to visit next—with hopes of visiting them all someday. I sincerely thank all of your staff for making this important birthday trip with my daughter such a wonderful memory. We will definitely return again. Thank you very much.

We’re repeat guests for the cats, delicious food, and the cozy comfort of having everything you need right in the Room. This time my husband came with us too. The kids were thrilled with the maisonette and the open-air bath. We also love the skincare amenities such as lotion—they’re from a brand we like. We were so happy to finally spend time with the cats again. Since this was our first summer stay, we were told, “You might find stag beetles on the balcony,” and there were so many (surprisingly)! We took some home and are taking good care of them. Thank you for all your thoughtful consideration. Dinner was served at perfect timing—hot dishes hot and cold dishes cold—and my husband really enjoyed how delicious everything was. For breakfast we chose Japanese this time; the clay-pot rice selected by a rice meister was outstanding. Our child asked for seconds again and again. Everything was perfect except that the children’s pajamas we borrowed felt smaller than expected for their size. Thank you as always for your warm welcome—it made for an amazing start to our summer vacation. We’d love to come back again.

This is our second stay. We felt so comfortable last time, the meals were delicious, and we slept well, so my husband and I came back. The seasonal dishes are amazing too! Once again, we were able to relax and unwind. We also really enjoyed the simmered potatoes made by your grandfather—they were delicious. We’d love to visit again during the colder season!

The building was new and very clean, and the Room was thoroughly cleaned down to every corner. It was spacious, and we had a very comfortable stay. The meals were also delicious. Although the staff were from overseas, they were kind and helpful—thank you very much. As it was our 13th wedding anniversary, we also received a surprise dessert plate—thank you very much.

This was my long-admired Accommodation, and my first visit. I was truly able to relax in a space where all I could see from the Room was greenery, and all I could hear were the calls of cicadas. The two large public baths had slightly different temperatures between the indoor bath and the open-air bath, so even I, who am not fond of very hot water, could choose what suited me. The meals also featured seasonal ingredients beautifully and were absolutely delicious. I sincerely appreciate the staff’s thoughtful, unobtrusive hospitality. I would love to return in a different season.

The Accommodation, the staff, the meals, and the Onsen were all outstanding. The meat and eggs in particular were unforgettable. If I visit Yufuin again, I will definitely stay here!

We were satisfied with everything—the guest room, the private open-air bath, and the restaurant. The retro furnishings in the room were truly comforting, and we were impressed by the thoughtful care in the meals. We enjoyed a level of luxury that exceeded the price. This is a Hotel we would love to visit again. The Hotel staff were also wonderful. As I get older, I find peace in an Accommodation like this. I hadn’t had many chances to visit Chichibu before, but this was an excellent Hotel as a base for visiting Mitsumine Shrine, Chichibu Shrine, and Hodosan Shrine (the Chichibu Three Shrines pilgrimage), as well as sightseeing in Nagatoro. I live in Kobe and have been hiking Mt. Rokko and the surrounding mountains frequently for many years. I often passed by “Ocean Terrace Ajisai” and had been curious about it for a long time. After reading the Reviews, the food looked absolutely delicious. So I made a Reservation for our wedding anniversary. The meals more than lived up to their reputation—beautifully presented, wonderfully flavorful, and truly outstanding. Both dinner and breakfast left us happily stuffed. Everything was delicious, but I was especially impressed by how surprising and exquisite the fig dengaku and peach potage were—and it was my first time in my life to be genuinely amazed at how incredibly good Narazuke could be. The dashimaki tamago that appeared with a burst of steam when they opened the bamboo mat was also exceptional. Everyone at the Accommodation was kind and attentive, sharing enjoyable stories that made us feel at ease. The view was slightly hazy when we arrived, but when I woke up around midnight and stepped out onto the terrace, there were the night lights from Kobe to Osaka—and a full moon! I was thrilled by both our good luck and its beauty. And in the morning, seeing trees wrapped in mist—Mt. Rokko like I’d never seen before—moved me again… I would love to stay again in a different season. When making the Reservation, I saw the Room size in square meters and assumed it would be compact, but I must have misread it—it felt very spacious and relaxing, which was wonderful too.

This time, I stayed in a Heritage balcony Room. I wondered if it might be too hot this season, but the evening breeze was pleasant, and I was able to relax with drinks from room service. For dinner, I dined at Toh-Ka-Lin, and the next morning I had breakfast at Nouvelle Epoque. Everything—from delicious dining to the gym, spa, and pool—was available within the Hotel, so I could truly unwind and enjoy a genuinely luxurious stay. The entire property was clean and quiet throughout, and the staff’s hospitality struck the perfect balance: not too close or too distant, yet always attentive with thoughtful care. An unexpected issue came up during my stay, but even then the Hotel team responded with kindness and meticulous consideration. It reminded me once again of how exceptional Japanese Hotels are—especially Okura. I would love to visit again.

Because it’s close to Zao, this was my first stay at this Accommodation. To put it mildly, it’s one of the best Accommodations I’ve ever stayed at. It’s fairly large, so the interiors and lobby are well appointed, but above all it’s quiet and comfortable. The large public bath with an open-air bath is excellent as well, and the teppanyaki cuisine was outstanding. There was nothing to complain about. The service struck just the right balance of attentiveness and distance, and everything was impeccably clean—I truly enjoyed my stay.

After reading Reviews last year, I stayed here for the first time. I couldn’t forget how comfortable it was, so this year I booked a 2-night Multiple Night Stay. It’s a small Hotel with only six Rooms, but the warm hospitality from the staff and chef, along with the moor Onsen, truly soothed my heart. The private open-air bath was also spacious and open, and we could clearly see the beautiful stars. For dinner last time, I was impressed by the teppan French cuisine—especially the vegetables and Shiraoi beef—so on the first night this time we chose French again. It was just as delicious as before. On the second night, we tried Japanese cuisine for the first time—and it moved me more than I can say. Every dish was filled with unseen care and heartfelt effort; the dashi had an exquisite balance of saltiness and umami. From appetizer to dessert, it was a perfectly composed menu that felt thoroughly thought out. I don’t think you can easily find this level even in Tokyo. The sommelier selected wines and sake to match each dish, which made everything taste even better. The Room was calm and relaxing as well—it became a blissful summer holiday. Thank you to everyone there. We’ll be back again next year, and we look forward to seeing you then.

It was a wonderful stay, exactly as we had hoped. The Room was very clean, every dish at both dinner and breakfast was delicious, and the private Onsen was fantastic—we were completely satisfied. Some oil from the stone-grilled Tochigi Wagyu accidentally splashed onto my skirt, but when I asked for advice, they kindly prepared a tray with mild detergent and towels and explained how to care for it properly. It was a huge help—thank you. If I had one small request, it would be nice to have simple snacks such as nuts when enjoying drinks in the lounge (a Ryokan we stayed at in Nagano recently offered this, so that may be why I noticed), but we truly appreciate being able to enjoy complimentary drinks. A highly recommended Ryokan.

I stayed here with my mother. The Accommodation was spotless, and the meals were thoughtfully prepared and truly delicious! Above all, the hospitality from everyone at the Accommodation was outstanding. When I come to Yufuin again, it’s not just that I want to stay in Yufuin—I want to visit Yufuin so I can stay at this Accommodation.

It’s a modern-feeling Facility with well-equipped amenities. The Room is a bit small, but it was clean, and having a private toilet plus two separate sink areas was very convenient. The food was delicious, and the breakfast buffet in particular was excellent. With reasonable rates as well, it’s a Hotel I’d like to stay at again.

I stayed here to celebrate a friend’s birthday. My friend asked me to choose the Accommodation, and I booked Takitei without hesitation. We were extremely satisfied! The Room, baths, meals, and attentive service were all wonderful. Since it was a birthday, we also received such warm hospitality, and my friend was truly delighted. My friend especially loved the jibuni served at dinner. Thanks to you, I was able to spend a wonderful time with friends I hadn’t seen in a while. I’m filled with gratitude. I would love to visit again.
