This was our first stay as a family trip. The meals, the baths, and the hospitality were all extremely satisfying. Every dish was made with local ingredients, and the seasoning brought out the natural flavors—exactly to our taste. We also enjoyed relaxing in the log-cabin-style restaurant while looking out at the garden. We used only the open-air bath. Even though it was raining, the water temperature was just right and helped us unwind. *Since it’s completely outdoors, those who dislike insects may want to avoid it in summer—they do fly around. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much for everything.

We stayed here as a couple. The Room was a Japanese-style room where we could relax, and the staff were very courteous, which we truly appreciated. There was information saying the Onsen has radium-rich water that is good for the body, so we went in three times. The meals were so delicious and beautifully presented that we wanted to take photos. We would definitely love to visit again.

Because my husband is from Nagaoka, we come from Tokyo to Niigata every year during the Obon season. Our usual routine is to go swimming at Kakudahama Beach first, then stay at Hotel Asuka. The made-to-order dinner buffet is delicious, and the food comes out quickly. The dishes you can pick up anytime are also great, so I always end up eating too much. Both the long-time staff and the newer team members are truly pleasant and welcoming—it makes me feel at home. This is my favorite hotel that I look forward to visiting every year. We’ll be back again next year, so thank you in advance.

This was my first time visiting Sarugakyo Onsen, and to be honest, it didn’t feel like there was much sightseeing, but this Accommodation was so wonderful that I’d come back just to stay here again. The staff were all very hospitable, and the food was excellent. The pizza in particular was truly delicious—I ended up eating far too much. I’d love to visit again! Thank you very much.

Thank you very much for your hospitality the other day. I’m sorry my review is late. At this Accommodation, we were worried about making check-in on time due to unexpected traffic, but they handled it with incredible kindness and flexibility. We told them—though we didn’t know exactly when we would arrive—that we really wanted to have dinner, and they warmly replied, “We’ll be waiting.” In the end, we made it in time and were able to enjoy the meal without delay. It wasn’t an overly luxurious kind of service, but rather thoughtful hospitality that anticipated what guests might need—whether in the Room, the bath, or the meals. There was also live entertainment: a staff member performed a singing-and-guitar set during dinner. We had no idea there would be live music, so it was a wonderful surprise. Both dinner and breakfast were outstanding, featuring seasonal ingredients and local specialties unique to the area. From presentation to flavor, everything was beyond words and truly enjoyable. I only wish we could have checked in earlier so we could have enjoyed more of the Accommodation. We would love to visit again.

Thank you very much for your heartfelt hospitality during our three-day, two-night stay. Every dish made with local ingredients was deeply flavorful, and the free-flowing natural hot spring water was so soothing it felt as if both body and mind were gently unwinding—my spouse and I were truly refreshed. On the second day, we enjoyed a full round at a golf club near the Accommodation. Although it was extremely hot, the Onsen we had upon returning eased our fatigue, and once again we were reminded of how wonderful BeniyA’s hot spring water is. Also, whenever we encountered your warm smiles and greetings—especially from the attendant in charge of us—we felt at ease. Even a brief word when passing in the hallway showed such thoughtfulness, and we are sincerely grateful that we could spend our entire stay so comfortably. In addition, hearing from the proprietress about the kitchen knives left a strong impression on us—particularly as it came just after seeing news about a female figure skater receiving Japan’s People’s Honour Award. On our way to the large public bath, we caught a glimpse of the kitchen area and felt anew that these knives support your delicious cuisine every day. This trip became a cherished memory for us as a couple. We would love to visit again in another season—and next time, we hope to enjoy winter crab delicacies.

This was my first time staying here. At first, I wasn’t sure about a standalone house in the mountains, but once I arrived, it far exceeded my expectations. The Room was more spacious than I imagined, the Onsen was free-flowing with a gentle quality to the water, and above all, the meals were not only delicious but also very generous. This Accommodation offers something truly special that you won’t find elsewhere. As someone who loves traveling, it’s an Accommodation I genuinely want to recommend to others from the bottom of my heart.

I stayed here with my child. The building blends beautifully into a quiet, peaceful town, and its wonderful atmosphere instantly soothed both body and mind after a long day of walking. Both dinner and breakfast were cooked right in front of us, making for an enjoyable, delicious, and truly memorable time. I’m really glad we chose to stay here. Thank you very much.

We enjoyed a “staycation,” with lounge hopping across four lounges as the main highlight. First, we walked from Shinagawa Station to the Hotel, but IKYU’s directions said “cross Daiichi Keihan…,” so we crossed the signal right after exiting the Takanawa Exit. However, the route to the right after crossing was blocked due to construction, so we had to turn back. After exiting the Takanawa Exit, it’s best to turn right and walk along Daiichi Keihan, then turn left at the first traffic light onto Sakura-zaka. Alternatively, since it’s a continuous uphill slope, I think taking the shuttle bus would be a good option. We visited all four lounges, and as expected, Hana-Kouro’s lounge was the most relaxing; the drinks were also of higher quality and excellent. The champagne during cocktail time—and Dassai—was a real treat. We also enjoyed tasting different sake. There were some light bites during cocktail time, but it would have been even better if there had been additional hors d’oeuvres. Breakfast was delicious as well. It was our first time trying a matcha grinding experience, and we really enjoyed it. At the lounge, the staff maintained just the right level of attentiveness throughout without being intrusive, which made it very comfortable. Thank you very much for taking such great care of us. On August 7, when a strong typhoon was a concern, we headed to Kyotango—a trip we had been looking forward to for a long time. Due to my misunderstanding, I entered the entrance at 2:00 PM and found no one at the front desk—which was only natural, since check-in starts at 3:00 PM. Even so, they responded right away and guided us to our Room in about 10 minutes. That was the beginning of the trouble I caused. I couldn’t wait for the dinner and breakfast that receive such high praise in every Review. Since we arrived early, I was also the first to use the large public bath. The open-air bath had an amazing ocean view and felt incredible. The right edge of the tub had a slope, so I assumed it was thoughtful design for children or elderly guests—but there was an identical slope on the left as well. Looking closely, I noticed the rim of the tub was curved: it was actually designed as a reclining bath. The slope allowed you to lie back while enjoying the ocean view. I soaked in the open-air bath, deeply impressed all on my own. After enjoying a canned beer and complimentary sake (excellent) in the post-bath lounge area, we returned to our Room—and then an accident happened: news of a death in our close family arrived. After discussing it with my wife, we decided to give up on the breakfast we had been looking forward to so much. Since it took about 3 hours and 45 minutes on our way there, I asked at reception if we could leave early in the morning—and they kindly accommodated this as well. Dinner began while my mind still felt unsettled, but everything from the first appetizer onward was delicious, and my wife and I found ourselves exchanging smiles again and again. Partway through, we were guided outside to watch sunset from the terrace—body, heart, and taste buds all completely satisfied. Despite our very early departure time, they even came out to see us off when we left. I was truly moved. We caused you so much inconvenience—thank you for giving us such an outstanding Accommodation experience.

My family and I stayed here the day before our Kamikochi sightseeing trip. The young proprietress was very friendly and easy to talk to, and her unpretentious, thoughtful hospitality was truly comfortable. The open-air bath in our Room felt amazing—I could have stayed in it forever. Dinner featuring Hida beef had so many dishes that we wondered if we could finish them all, but everything was delicious and we all ate every last bite. The beef tataki we received as a gift from the Accommodation was also outstanding! They also kindly helped us plan for the next day’s Kamikochi sightseeing, making our stay completely satisfying. We would definitely like to stay here again on our next trip to Kamikochi!

From the welcoming staff to the front desk team, Room guidance, and dining staff, everyone was courteous and made us feel truly comfortable. The Room was clean, and both the indoor bath and open-air bath were very relaxing. Each dish was beautifully prepared—from seasoning to presentation—and everything was delicious. Thank you for giving us such a soothing time on this trip with friends. Next time, we would love to visit again with our family.

I stayed with friends, and the food was so delicious that it truly made me happy. It made me want to come again with my family, and I want them to enjoy the meals too. The Room was clean, and the service was very pleasant. Since the Room we stayed in didn’t have a sofa, I felt it might be a bit difficult if I brought my elderly parents without one. Still, next time I’d like to visit with my husband and daughter.

All of the staff were very pleasant. There was also a complimentary drinks area, which we enjoyed. The meals were especially delicious, and each dish was thoughtfully prepared with great attention to detail. The service staff’s explanations and hospitality were professional and excellent.

We stayed here with our family again after a long time, and we felt the service had improved even more. All the staff were very courteous, and we were truly happy that they remembered our previous stay. The meals were excellent—not only dinner, but especially breakfast, which offered an impressive variety and was delicious. We were also surprised to see the owner personally serving guests at breakfast. This is an Accommodation we would love to visit again. Highly recommended!!

The location was excellent, and the views of Sanshiro Island and Suruga Bay from the Room, the bath, and the lobby were amazing. There were complimentary drinks and tokoroten available in the free lobby, and the private family bath was open—everything could be used without a Reservation. The night view from the rooftop was also wonderful, and we enjoyed it like a vacation home. The staff service was outstanding as well. We would love to stay again.

The guest room, Onsen, cuisine, and the staff’s hospitality—everything was perfect and beyond reproach. For the past four years, my spouse and I have been visiting Onsen Accommodations in Hakone and Izu once a month, but we have never stayed at an Accommodation as exceptionally well-rounded as this one. We will definitely return again. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us.

Four women stayed in a Japanese-Western style room—ocean view!! We relaxed on the spacious sofa, and our conversation really flowed. Above all, the meals were outstanding. Every dish in the creative dinner was simply “Delicious!” Breakfast was a perfect 100, too! The front desk’s attentiveness and the restaurant’s serving timing were also flawless.

My spouse and I (both in our late 40s) stayed here. All of the staff were incredibly kind, and we truly appreciated it. We stayed in a special Room, and there was a beer server on our floor. After check-in, we took a bath and enjoyed some beer, then had kaiseki dinner delivered to our Room. We had a wonderful time—thank you very much. The bath is small, but the water was excellent, so we went in four times. We’d love to visit again when we can make time to relax. We fully enjoyed the benefits of the all-inclusive plan.

We traveled with my elderly mother-in-law, and as on our previous stay, everything—such as preparing chairs—was arranged with extra care, allowing us to spend a very comfortable time. The meals were consistently excellent as well. Since we stay around the same time every year, we would appreciate it if you could consider adding a bit more variety to items such as the hassun.
