Booked a great-value room at the last minute. There is an Onsen, free tea in the lobby, and all the staff were very helpful. They also introduced us to the stone-paved streets of Ochiai, which made our trip very fulfilling. Thank you.

The Room itself is compact, but it is ingeniously designed to be comfortable and convenient, allowing us to enjoy a pleasant 2-night stay. At the front desk, you can choose your pillow and sleepwear, and even enjoy a welcome drink at your leisure, making it a truly satisfying experience. The breakfast was also delicious, and I would like to use this service again.

This was my first stay, and I enjoyed the self-service welcome drink bar with unlimited soft drinks, awamori, and cocktails. At check-in, the manager made a balloon art candy for my 5-year-old son, which made him very happy. As a service for women, I received makeup remover and hair cream. The Room was standard business style but comfortable. Breakfast included dishes like champuru and jushi, which were satisfying. Although checkout was not required at the front desk, both the manager and staff saw us off at the entrance with warm hospitality. Their genuine care exceeded expectations for the price, so I would love to stay again. However, it was a bit warm in the breakfast area (welcome drink bar location) due to an air conditioning issue.

I had a wonderful time at this Accommodation where I could relax and fully enjoy both the Kinsen and Ginsen Onsen. Is the owner a woman who loves Onsen? It wasn’t excessive, but everything I wanted was thoughtfully provided, making my stay very comfortable. I also appreciated the complimentary free-drink service. The large public bath allows up to seven women, but since there are four private baths as well, it never felt crowded. If I may make a small request, it would be great to have tissue paper available in the private baths too, and having both M and L sizes of loungewear in the Room would be helpful so guests can choose what fits best. I would love to stay here again when I visit Arima Onsen. Thank you very much.

I was able to stay comfortably again this year. It was disappointing that, for some reason, I couldn’t watch YouTube and the amenities didn’t arrive. However, when I checked in and entered the Room, it was cool inside, and I really appreciated your thoughtful consideration. Thank you very much. I would like to stay again next year.

We stayed as three families and booked three villas. Each villa had a lovely Room, and we had a very comfortable stay. The complimentary drinks and snacks at the management building were also a nice touch. Since it was still a bit early for ocean activities, we brought our own fishing gear and relaxed. The staff kindly arranged the setup so all three families could dine together, and we had a great time sharing BBQ, bouillabaisse, and sushi. We were worried dinner might not be enough, so we bought extra meat beforehand, but it turned out to be more than enough—everything was delicious. The clam miso soup served with the sushi was especially outstanding. Breakfast was also stylish, with bagels as the main item on the plate, and it tasted great. However, for children who don’t like bagels or for my father who has dental issues, they were too hard to eat—so it would be nice to have a choice of several options such as croissants or French toast. The yogurt was plain with no sweetness, so fruit yogurt or jam served on the side would be appreciated. The Room was comfortable overall, and both the beds and futons felt wonderful. One small inconvenience was that there wasn’t a place to hang bath towels; having one behind the sink would be helpful. There were hangers and a rack, but once we hung jackets and clothes it was full. Since swimwear is required in Rooms with an outdoor bath, I think additional hangers and space to dry wet swimsuits are necessary. I’ve noted some points here, but overall this was an excellent Accommodation and we would love to visit again. All staff members were kind and responded thoughtfully to our requests. Thank you very much for everything.

It was very clean and comfortable. The Room felt a bit spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. There is a one-time coffee service, and I was satisfied because it was genuinely good coffee. I will definitely stay here again.

The Room was clean, and the staff were very helpful. Dinner arrived a little late, so I ended up feeling too full and had to leave some of the dessert.

During my stay, I mostly encountered international guests, but the Hotel was clean and comfortable. It’s a Hotel I would like to use again.

Conveniently located about a 3-minute walk from Minami-Hikone Station. I traveled by train this time and was able to plan my activities according to the train schedule. There is a convenience store next door, and a large shopping center in front of the station, making it very convenient. The welcome drink selection seemed a bit limited. Breakfast was complimentary and sufficient. It would have been even better if there were bathing facilities available. This was my first time staying at this Hotel, but I would like to try other locations as well.

For our summer trip to Shimane, we chose Matsudairakaku based on everyone’s reviews. The spacious room was spotless and opened onto the garden, and dinner was truly more than we could finish—we looked forward to it every night. They also had a great selection of local sake, so we ended up drinking a little too much. When sightseeing, they recommended routes that only locals would know. On our last day, since we had to leave early in the morning, they kindly prepared breakfast earlier for us as well—we apologize for the inconvenience. Everything was perfect, and it made for a wonderful trip to Shimane. We would love to stay again if we have the chance.

We chose the Meat Satisfaction Plan, but it was such a feast that we couldn’t finish it—what a shame! Still, everything was delicious. The Onsen was wonderful too; the open-air bath uses natural hot spring water and felt like an infinity bath overlooking the pond. We were also happy to be able to enjoy coffee in the lounge. The Room had a lovely atmosphere, and it was fun watching the koi in the pond from the window. We’ll come again if we have the chance!

We stayed here as a couple. The room was thoroughly cleaned, so we were able to spend our time comfortably. The meals were very delicious and generous in portion size. The presentation was beautiful as well. It was a bit disappointing that the hot water in the bath took quite a while to come out, but everything else was perfect. Next time, we’ll visit during ski season with our little ones.

Both the town and the Accommodation were pleasantly quiet. Rather than a place to “enjoy the Accommodation,” it felt like a place where, through your stay, you become part of Nara. If you’re looking for an Accommodation for sightseeing in Nara, the location is convenient, so I’d like to stay here again next time. There’s nothing particularly notable about the amenities, but there was neither shortage nor excess, which I think is good.

We stayed in a glamping tent with our dog and were generally satisfied. However, when we tried to use the kettle in the tent, there was about 5 cm of water left inside and water droplets on the underside of the lid, so it seemed like it hadn’t been emptied after the previous guest. I expected the kettle at an Accommodation to be dry inside before use, so that was a bit disappointing.

During Golden Week in Takeo Onsen, when many visitors come to the area, I stayed one night at this impressive property at the foot of the mountains. The facilities were very clean, and the baths were excellent. The sauna seemed to be out of order, but even with just the baths I was sweating nonstop. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and I could enjoy it at a relaxed pace. It was also reassuring that the staff made frequent rounds. I would like to stay again.

The staff’s hospitality was truly pleasant. It wasn’t too mechanical or overly familiar—just the right level of attentiveness. Late at night, I read manga in the lounge, and nearby a family of guests was enjoying board games, creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere. The Room was small but very clean, including the bathroom and toilet. The larger bed was a Sealy. It felt as if it gently conformed to my body, and I personally slept very comfortably. Breakfast was an ochazuke set meal. I added toppings like sakura shrimp (I think), tororo kombu (shredded kelp), and Nozawana pickles, then poured dashi over it. Everything—from grilled fish to simmered dishes, stir-fried items, miso soup, salad, and fruit—was well balanced and delicious. Although it was cloudy/rainy throughout my stay and we even had heavy rain on the second day, I still felt great. I’d love to visit again when the weather is clear. Thank you very much.

I chose this Hotel after reading Reviews myself. When I called to let them know I would be checking in late, the staff response was excellent and very courteous. The Room felt clean and was good. The bath had a spacious tub, and the amenities were also good. The nightwear was comfortable as well, and I thought it was a recommended Hotel. One disappointing point: the call starts with an automated message, which felt a bit bothersome.

The exterior is a charming old-style building, and inside, even the hallways are tatami-matted, making it comfortable for elderly guests. The room had been renovated, was spotless, and provided a very pleasant space—we were extremely satisfied. The parking attendant was also very considerate and arranged things so my elderly mother wouldn’t have to walk up the slope. It was a shame we arrived after 4 p.m. and about half of the shops along the approach were already closed, but we’d like to come back and try again.

About a 5-minute walk from JR Gifu Station, the location is very convenient. However, there is an area that looks like a huge abandoned district along the route between the station and the Hotel, which gave me pause for a moment (lol). It is said to be the remains of a textile wholesale district that flourished from the postwar period through Japan’s high-growth era. If you take a closer look, it has an old-time charm, and it may be an appealing spot for those who enjoy Showa-retro vibes. Once I arrived at the Hotel, the atmosphere changed completely—bright and refined. The Room was typical of a standard city Hotel, well cleaned, and I was able to stay comfortably without any particular inconvenience. There is a coffee machine in the first-floor lobby, so being able to enjoy regular coffee without going to a convenience store is a thoughtful touch. It takes a bit of practice to use it, so if you’re unsure, ask the staff. (I had seen the same type at another property before so I knew how to use it, but it might be tricky if it’s your first time.) What really stands out about this Hotel is how lavish breakfast is. They offer a wide variety of local specialties—Gifu Hatsushimo rice; Hida nameko mushroom soup; mini Takayama ramen; boiled dumplings with Meihou ham; Hida beef croquettes; Ogaki mizu-manju; gohei-mochi; and more—making for an especially enjoyable start to the day. With many Hotels of similar size and price range around the station area, I think it’s wonderful that they differentiate themselves in this way. I’d love to stay again if I have another chance.
