This was my second stay, and it reminded me again how good this place is. The Room isn’t huge, but it’s easy to move around and very relaxing. The toilet has an automatic lid and automatic flushing, which is a big help for me since I have back issues. It’s also rare (and convenient) to have a sink inside the toilet area. The bathroom has a separate washing area, and the tub is spacious enough to soak comfortably. The pajamas are a two-piece set with a soft feel. What really earns high marks is the generous service: drinks, snacks, and bread are provided, and bringing items into the Room is also allowed. At other hotels, I end up having to stop by a convenience store just to make sure I have drinks—here there’s no need for that, which makes it much more relaxing. We don’t even need to add breakfast; bread and coffee are enough for us. However, it was disappointing that there were no croissants this time. I also didn’t know how to use the toaster, so it would be helpful if instructions were posted. And when I want tea, I’d appreciate a note explaining where to find hot water. Two years ago I wrote that I wished the TV could play YouTube, and I was happy to see that it can now. The staff’s service and smiles had improved compared with before. As always, the only inconvenience is that the space next to the sink is small. It’s close to Shinbashi Station as well, so it’s convenient not having to wait for a taxi. I think the Accommodation cost is reasonable compared with nearby hotels considering how good the service is. I hope these services won’t be discontinued because of inconsiderate guests. I’d like to stay again if I have another opportunity.

We stayed with our dog! The weather was stormy on the first day, but thanks to the thoughtful care of the staff, we were able to relax and enjoy a wonderful evening. By midnight, the rain and wind had stopped and we could even see a starry sky. Thank you for such a peaceful, unhurried stay! The sheep Mee-chan and Grandma were adorable too. Collecting eggs was fun, and thank you for the egg souvenirs as well! We could dine in a relaxed atmosphere, and the sukiyaki was delicious. I felt it was slightly lacking without rice, but I was very satisfied overall. The scenery gets 100 points! Thank you very much for taking such great care of us!

Located in a residential area, it is quiet and has a cozy, home-like atmosphere. The property is very clean, and while the amenities are limited, it won’t be an issue for most travelers. It was a shame I couldn’t spend time in the Japanese-style lounge, but it’s a Hotel I’d like to book for a Multiple Night Stay.

This Accommodation was the main purpose of our trip. From the front desk, it’s a stylish space. There is a restroom and bath on the first floor, and a living room, kitchen, and bedroom on the second floor. When you enter the Room, the entryway is filled with a lovely aroma scent. The overall design—wood with gray, green, and navy tones—was very calming. The pillars, beams, and window glass make use of older materials while everything still feels beautifully designed! Thoughtful details like linen cloths, incredibly comfortable pajamas for sleeping, and delicious coffee were also outstanding. It seems difficult to cook elaborate meals in the kitchen, but you can prepare simple dishes. There is also a supermarket nearby. We went to a nearby Italian trattoria (Trattoria OB) on the first night, then made an easy meal on the second night and enjoyed wine at a relaxed pace. We had seen Reviews mentioning insects might appear, but perhaps because of the season we didn’t encounter any. You can also use the lounge at their affiliated Hotel “Toyooka 1925.” We used it three times; it wasn’t crowded and we could relax comfortably each time. “Toyooka 1925” is also a stylish space. We were able to spend slow time without using TV or internet—it was two very satisfying days for us.

We stayed with our 1 year and 10-month-old child. We chose this accommodation because it is a "Welcome Baby" certified accommodation, and it truly lived up to its name! The kids' room was filled with various toys, which made our child very happy. Diapers and wipes were also provided, so we could travel light. The meals were absolutely delicious, and we were very satisfied! The breakfast for children was also luxurious and wonderful. Additionally, the all-inclusive service allowed us to enjoy drinks, alcohol, and snacks at any time we liked, which was a great perk. Our child kept asking for refills of Calpis (laughs). As for the Onsen, the private Onsen was available 24 hours a day. We could check availability on our smartphone and use it whenever we wanted! It was great to have relaxing bath time as a family. Since we stayed on a weekday, there weren’t many people around, so we could relax without worrying even with a small child in tow. The staff members were very kind as well—it turned out to be such a wonderful family trip! Thank you so much!

For our summer trip to Shimane Prefecture, we chose Matsudairakaku based on everyone’s Reviews. The spacious, spotless Room connected to the garden was wonderful, and dinner was truly more than we could finish—we looked forward to it every night. They also had a great selection of local sake, and we ended up drinking a bit too much. When sightseeing, they shared recommended routes that only locals would know. On our last day, since we had an early departure, they kindly prepared breakfast earlier for us as well—we apologize for the inconvenience. Everything was perfect, and it made for a fantastic trip to Shimane. We would love to stay again if we have the chance.

Due to the typhoon, we had to change our plans at short notice and made a same-day Reservation. It was in a great location—within walking distance of the station, just a few minutes on foot to Kokusai-dori, and right next to a bathing Facility. We initially stayed just as a temporary option, but it was so comfortable that we extended our stay. The building was clean, and breakfast offered three kinds of bread plus a wide variety of drinks—even boiled eggs—so for this price we were very satisfied. I was surprised the hair dryer was ReFa; the amenities were well stocked, and the laundry was free (detergent is paid), which I think is a great service for women. All staff members were pleasant and helpful. This is definitely a Hotel I’d like to use again!

I booked this pension within walking distance because I had long dreamed of seeing the fresh green metasequoia-lined avenue in the morning and evening. I also used everyone’s Reviews as a reference. Luckily, we were blessed with great weather, and we fully enjoyed the vibrant new greenery along the metasequoia trees and felt refreshed by the clean air. Early in the morning there were hardly any tourists, and our walk became a truly wonderful time. Dinner was delicious from start to finish—from the main Omi beef to the apple sorbet—and we were completely satisfied. The recommended white wine was far better than its price suggested, making the meal even more enjoyable. Breakfast was also outstanding, especially the freshly baked bread and homemade strawberry sauce (jam). Above all, both our room and the large public bath were beautifully maintained and very clean, and in so many moments we felt warmed by the thoughtful hospitality of the owner and family—it became a soothing, heartwarming trip. When we left after check-out, the owner waved goodbye as we drove out of the parking lot, which deeply moved both my husband and me. We would love to visit again in a different season next time. We stayed here to visit the Yatsugatake Craft Fair. The building is an authentic log house constructed during the bubble era, using luxurious materials. The lounge, featuring an impressive fireplace, offers a cozy atmosphere with comfortable sofas, soothing music from the audio set, a variety of books, and a drink bar with coffee and various teas, making it hard to leave. It is even used for magazine photo shoots. We stayed as a family, and the Room was spacious, clean, and the bedding was exceptionally comfortable. The bath was for private use, allowing us to relax without any concerns. We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner, with dishes carefully prepared by the owner. The meals were beautifully presented, delicious, and very satisfying in portion size. The area around the building is a rare breeding ground for Daurian redstarts in Japan, and we were able to see these adorable birds from the dining area. Thank you to the owner and the owner's daughter for sharing so much with us. We look forward to staying here again.

As it’s a new Hotel, everything is spotless. I have lower back pain, but the mattress firmness was perfectly comfortable. The Room key uses a PIN code system, so I recommend taking a photo of the number you receive at check-in on your phone—it will be useful later. At the bar counter there were Black Nikka, Kurokirishima, Nanawarai, and more, so I had a glass of Kurokirishima. I think it’s a good idea to buy cup ice and soda water as well. There didn’t seem to be any restaurants within walking distance; however, there is a drugstore and a supermarket across the street. The only disappointment was that at 6:40 there was an extremely long line for breakfast! We were told we could take it back to the Room to eat, but due to my son’s event we gave up waiting and checked out. That’s why I deducted one star. I would like to stay again if I have the opportunity.

We stayed for a Multiple Night Stay, and the meals were completely different each night; both were very elaborate and delicious. Even though it was just the two of us on the second day, we were delighted by the generous dishes and desserts. If I had to mention one thing, since dinner lasts an hour, the wooden chairs—though beautiful—are a bit hard, so having seat cushions would be appreciated.

With the grand opening, both the Hotel and our Room were very clean, and we had a comfortable stay. Breakfast was delicious—especially the chilled onion and chicken shabu-shabu. It would have been even better with yogurt. All of the staff were very kind and prepared connecting Rooms next to each other, which we truly appreciated for our family trip. I highly recommend this Hotel for families. Thank you very much.

I stayed here again for the first time in a while since the renovation. The open-air bath was different from before, and I enjoyed it with the men’s and women’s baths switching. The Room was a Japanese-Western style, so it was spacious, but the bed was narrow and the pillow was high, making it hard to sleep. The meals were very delicious, served at just the right timing. The salmon sashimi was a little unique—well thought out and tasty. The ayu sweetfish also had just the right amount of salt and was very enjoyable.

This was our first stay here. My husband enjoys searching for Accommodations when we travel, and we found this place through a Review site. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with a welcome drink. After that, we enjoyed Japanese-style relaxation in the free private bath, then went from one bath to another—the historic marble bath and the panoramic-view bath. Once we were refreshed, we savored dishes made with plenty of local ingredients, and the pudding dessert was unbelievably delicious. After dinner, there was complimentary service in the first-floor lounge: homemade alcoholic drinks and juices, small desserts, and snacks. You can relax at your own pace while listening to music. Breakfast was just as lavish—freshly cooked Hitomebore rice that was glossy and wonderfully chewy with tasty side dishes. On top of that, the ochazuke made with the Accommodation’s signature dashi is outstanding, so getting a second helping of rice is a must. On departure, they even gave us freshly baked croissants as a gift—truly attentive in every way. We are grateful for the staff’s warm hospitality. This is an Accommodation we would definitely love to visit again.

I made a Reservation for a meal course that included a boat-style sashimi platter. When I mentioned at check-in that I planned to try every bath, the front desk staff advised me not to overdo it because I might feel unwell from soaking too much. They were right—I’m glad I didn’t try them all. There were that many baths. For this price, the combination of the meal and the baths was excellent.

I had a wonderful time with my grandchild. I truly appreciated the thoughtful care of the staff.

The food was very delicious, and I would like to stay at this pension again.

I stayed as a solo guest. The room was truly right in front of the ocean, and whether I was in the living room, bedroom, or bath, the view of the blue sea was incredibly refreshing. Since cooking utensils were provided, I made a reservation with No Meals Included but enjoyed dinner at Amanoyu, a restaurant within the group facility. I also found it very appealing that I could access both the sake bar and onsen at Yokaikan, another group facility! I initially planned to relax and work in the villa but was pleasantly surprised to have access to such a spacious public bath! Working surrounded by the sea in such a spacious room was very fulfilling; next time, I'd love to try having a BBQ with friends. Thank you so much!

During our mother-and-daughter trip to Kyoto to celebrate my mother’s 80th birthday, we had the pleasure of staying here. Although I have visited Kyoto many times, I wasn’t very familiar with this area and felt a bit uneasy at first. However, walking along the Shirakawa River lined with graceful willow trees was wonderfully soothing and brought me a deep sense of calm. The Accommodation blends quietly into the neighborhood, and from the lobby to the Room, everything is unified in a simple modern Japanese style—clean, uncluttered, and extremely comfortable. Perhaps each Room is decorated to match its name; in our Room called “Hotarubi,” there were firefly motifs on the wall, which felt beautifully tasteful. We stayed in a Superior Twin Room, and it was very spacious. The toilet area, bath/vanity area, and living space were all separated by partitions, creating a relaxed and luxurious layout—one of my favorite points. What my mother loved most was the generously sized hinoki cypress bath. She found the scent so calming that she enjoyed it two or three times. We were also deeply touched by your thoughtful 80th birthday message and bouquet. To everyone at Accommodation Akekure who welcomed us with warm hospitality from check-in to check-out: thank you for such a wonderful stay. Hearing my usually reserved mother say “I want to stay here again” made me truly happy as well. We would love to visit again!
