A reliably solid Route Inn.\nWith a spacious public bath, I often stay here when traveling. No complaints except that the bath was a bit hot.

Conveniently located near Saito-Miyakonojo Station and Hiroguchi Bus Stop, making it easy to find. The building is new, and the rooms and facilities are very clean. The "Tabibito no Yu" on the first floor is a natural Onsen, very clean with a large bath where you can relax and unwind. Breakfast offers both Japanese and Western options with a good variety and delicious taste. Within a 5-minute walk, there are many izakayas (Japanese pubs) and yakiniku restaurants, so there's no need to worry about dinner. I visited an izakaya where I enjoyed Miyazaki beef, pork, and chicken at an incredible value not seen in Tokyo. If I have another chance to visit Miyakonojo, I would love to stay here again!

The large public bath also had many open-air baths, which was great, but the Room also had an open-air bath, so it was wonderful to soak at night and again early in the morning. Even after checkout, we could still use the large public bath, and we were given fresh towels at the front desk, so we were very satisfied. There is a restaurant for dinner, but breakfast is bring-your-own only; there is a 7-Eleven right in front of the property, so we used that. I wish there had been a Plan with an 11:00 checkout.

My friend and I stayed for one night and two days. That morning, we joined a river kayaking tour, and since there were no changing facilities near the river, I asked if it would be okay to arrive still wearing our wet wetsuits. They kindly agreed, which I truly appreciated. We were dropped off by the tour staff, and the moment we arrived, the breathtaking view of a beautiful infinity pool under a clear blue sky spread out before us—I couldn’t help but shout, “Wow, amazing!” We were shown to seats by the poolside, and even before checking in my friend said, “Wow… I should’ve brought my laptop. Next time we have to bring our laptops and stay longer for a workcation.” We were then shown to our Room. When I tried to open my suitcase, it wouldn’t open—an unexpected mishap—but after speaking with the butler right away they prepared an adorable tracksuit that could be worn over swimwear and arranged a rental car for us. Thanks to that, we were able to get it opened at a local gas station we had found in advance. For dinner, they prepared a handmade welcome plate inspired by the kayaking experience and the sea turtle nesting observation tour we had done—it was moving from the moment we sat down. Every dish was something new to us and absolutely delicious; in particular, I loved the peach sorbet served by the pastry chef. We got so caught up in eating and chatting that we stayed late, yet the chef still came out with a smile to see us off all the way until we boarded the golf cart back to our Room. The next morning we joined a kokedama (moss ball) workshop and enjoyed making one while learning all kinds of things about plants. I’ve forgotten the plant’s name now, but when I mentioned that I like tea, they also wrapped large leaves that can be enjoyed as tea together with my kokedama. We were probably the noisiest guests during our stay as just two people, yet everyone treated us with kindness until the very end—I’m nothing but grateful. Next time, I plan to bring my laptop and come back for a longer workcation stay.

Having stayed at retreat Hotels all over the whole country, I found this Retreat Onko Chishin to be outstanding in every way. The Room, bath, meals and drinks, and hospitality all delivered a high level of satisfaction, making for a truly pleasant stay. This Hotel has been reborn through the renovation of an existing Hotel, and the quality of the renovation and overall atmosphere were excellent.

We stayed here for the first time to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The Room was clean, the view was great, and it was very comfortable. Every staff member greeted us with a smile, and we were impressed throughout. Above all, the food was outstanding. We were amazed by the live ice cream presentation, the live rolled-omelet presentation, and two surprise dishes that weren’t even on the menu. Everything was truly delicious, beautifully presented, and the decorative vegetable carvings were adorable. As someone who doesn’t eat much, I couldn’t finish it because it was so filling—so even big eaters will be satisfied with the portion size. There were also many kinds of drinks available with unlimited refills, and we really felt their warm hospitality. We would love to come again! Thank you for such wonderful memories!

A Resort Hotel where you can enjoy a private pool, private sauna, and private Onsen without leaving your Room or seeing anyone—just complete privacy. It felt like Ubud in Bali. Being able to order meals via room service exactly as you like, with no restrictions on the number of portions, was truly appreciated. I can’t believe such a wonderful place was so close! I’d love to visit again.

The entire property is spotless and feels very clean. The Room was also clean, and the toilet in particular looked brand new. Of course, the baths are spacious, with various types of baths and a sauna. Bath hours are until 11:00 PM, so I ended up going right before closing each time, but I was satisfied. Checkout was smooth since all I had to do was put the key in the box. I will definitely stay here again when I visit Ishikawa Prefecture.

Right in front of Kugenuma Beach, it was quiet and away from the bustle of Enoshima. It’s a wonderful small Hotel where you can enjoy a special getaway while truly relaxing. The in-Room meals were delicious, and we also appreciated that the Hotel partners with great nearby restaurants and provides Shuttle Service. The staff were all kind as well. We felt it would be an excellent place to stay as a vacation home alternative.

I stayed here because I wanted to visit a famous nearby izakaya, and I was impressed by the stylish, locally inspired interior displays—they were a real treat for the eyes. Breakfast was homemade, warm, and delicious. Thank you very much.

I knew from the Reviews that this was a wonderful Ryokan, but it exceeded my expectations. The Onsen was charming both indoors and outdoors, and even the changing area was stylish. The meals were delicious—I ate too much. The Room had high ceilings and was spacious and spotless, with an amazing view from the window. Everywhere I looked—the Room, the Onsen, and throughout the Facility—everything was impeccably clean, and I felt it offered outstanding value for money. Thank you for taking care of us for two days. I will make another Reservation.

The first Hotel in Japan to join Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH). The highest level of comfort! They promptly accommodated a sudden Room change and provided wonderfully courteous service. Thank you very much. The same attendant as last time assisted us again, and everyone was delighted with the consistently excellent service. The Hotel’s atmosphere and the staff are always polite and kind—truly outstanding! We will definitely stay again.

My parents and I had a very comfortable stay. They said they would like to come again, which made me happy as the one who gave them this trip as a gift. All the staff were very courteous and attentive to every detail. We relaxed with coffee in our Room, warmed up to the core in the free-flowing Onsen, and slept soundly. Every dish was delicious. The acqua pazza, in particular, was the best I have ever had.

I considered staying in the city of Gifu, but since parking was either multi-story or affiliated, I decided on a suburban accommodation. The hotel had entrances at both the front and back, which was convenient. However, it was difficult to locate using the car's navigation system. Other than that, I had a comfortable stay in a new and pleasant environment.

I look forward to staying at Pearl Star every summer. Thanks to the staff who provide Shuttle Service with a smile from check-in to check-out, I always have a very pleasant stay. Breakfast is one of the highlights for me, and I like to get seated early and enjoy it at a relaxed pace. This is a Hotel I would love to stay at again and again.

I chose a reasonably priced option, but it seems I was actually given a Room from a higher-priced plan, and I’m grateful for the staff’s thoughtfulness. I was very satisfied. However, the provided toilet paper was the thin type, which wasn’t great—I would have preferred double-ply. Still, I’d like to stay again if I have the chance.

I always stay here to enjoy an extraordinary and special time away from everyday life. The cocktail-time dishes, carefully prepared right in front of us by the dedicated Club Lounge chef, are of outstanding quality and impress me every time. Also, on the second day, the executive chef came around to greet guests, and I was honored to meet them. All of the lounge staff always provide warm, personal service with a smile. Even after checkout, they kindly saw me off until I got into my taxi. Once again, I was truly soothed by the delicious food and exceptional hospitality. I am deeply grateful to all of the staff. I look forward to seeing you again.

I chose this Accommodation because I wanted to try the Moor Onsen. Just as rumored, it left my skin feeling smooth and was very relaxing. It’s also located in the center of town, making it convenient to go out for meals. Although it seems to be a long-established Accommodation, the Room has been renovated and was comfortable to stay in.

Thank you very much for your hospitality. My spouse and I were able to enjoy the private family bath together many times, and it became a wonderful memory for us. We are truly grateful to everyone at the Accommodation for your warm and dedicated service. We were very concerned to hear about the major earthquake that occurred shortly afterward. We stayed with our 3-year-old and our 2-month-old baby. We chose this Accommodation because the Room has a private open-air bath, and in-room dining—now quite rare—meant we could relax even with small children. About two days before our stay, we received a confirmation call and were grateful for the details about the Shuttle Service pickup location. When we told them our children’s ages, they kindly said, “We’ll make sure your Room is thoroughly cleaned.” The Facility felt a bit dated, but the Room was very clean. Everyone at the Ryokan wore hakama, which looked wonderful. Since we arrived with children, they guided us to our Room first, and being able to complete check-in in the Room was also a big plus. We were welcomed with matcha tea and warabi mochi, which helped us unwind after traveling. With only eight guest Rooms, it was very quiet throughout our stay—comfortable like having a private villa. They had already laid out futons so our child could lie down anytime, and they spoke warmly to our older child by name—thoughtful service that really stood out. Every in-room dining dish was delicious, especially the fish dishes. The private open-air bath attached to the guest Room had a lovely hinoki aroma. It rained on arrival day, but the next morning we enjoyed a bath while looking out at the sea. There is also a reservable open-air bath on the rooftop; after putting the kids to sleep, my spouse and I took turns using it. We even enjoyed stargazing at night—such a special memory. Thanks to all of their thoughtful care, this became an unforgettable family trip. We would love to stay again when we visit Izu. Thank you very much!
