This was my second stay. Once again, I felt the staff’s warm hospitality in so many moments, and it made for a truly wonderful visit. Both dinner and breakfast for solo diners were delicious. Since this trip also celebrated my mother’s birthday, I was especially looking forward to the cake I had requested. It looked beautiful, the figs were wonderfully fresh and juicy, and it was genuinely delicious. It was light and easy to eat, so even though we were full after dinner, we finished it in no time. I also loved the welcome amenity sweets so much that I bought some to enjoy after my stay. I had planned to take the herbal cordial home as well, but after trying a sample I couldn’t stop—I ended up drinking it all during my stay because it was that good! At breakfast, the carrot smoothie left a particularly strong impression. It was sweet and delicious—I even looked up the same one afterward. Everything—from the food to the amenities—showed such care and attention to detail that they were things I wanted to keep enjoying even after leaving. I also used the bath salts included as a Well-being Room benefit right away; they warmed me from deep within and felt wonderful. The bed was very comfortable too. I usually have trouble falling asleep when traveling, but this time I drifted off quickly. One small point: I found the lighting controls a bit hard to understand. At night, I wanted to turn on only the toilet light, but couldn’t get it to work as intended and felt a little confused. If it were more intuitive, it would be even more comfortable. Once again, we had such a relaxing time together and made lovely memories with my mother. We would love to return.

I’ve been coming here since I lived about 30 minutes away by train. Even after moving to a place about two hours away, I still visit from time to time specifically to stay at this Hotel and explore Takasaki. From the moment you step into the entrance with flowing water, you’re drawn into an extraordinary world. More than anything, I love the atmosphere of the large public bath. If you bathe before sunset, sunlight pours in and it’s bright and truly wonderful. Soaking in the open-air bath while listening to Shinkansen announcements as background music is pure bliss—I can forget everything. Both the guest rooms and the entire property are clean and comfortable. Since I’ve stayed many times, every visit feels like “I’m back.” The breakfast venue is very open and airy, and just as comfortable. The honey butter was so delicious that next time I plan to enjoy it generously again. Thank you always, and I look forward to staying with you again!

This was our second stay as a couple. Just like last time, all the staff were friendly and attentive, and it reminded us what a wonderful Hotel this is. The Room and bath were of course lovely, but what truly stands out at this Hotel is the food. Since the menu lists only the ingredients, we try to imagine what will come—and it’s always even more creative than we expect, which makes it so much fun. Every time, we’re amazed by the presentation, combinations, and flavors, and my husband and I enjoyed dinner saying, “They’re geniuses.” And the paired wines are incredible! They’re so delicious that we’re surprised every time. We were happy to spend such a wonderful time here. We will definitely be back!

I stayed here twice a few years ago, and I was truly happy to be able to return after a long time. All of the staff were genuinely pleasant, and I had a very relaxing stay. In particular, thank you to Mr./Ms. H (I’m using an initial as I’m not sure if it’s okay to share the name) who assisted with my check-in. One thing only: I used FORNI for both dinner and breakfast. At dinner, my meat was upgraded, but I wasn’t asked about my preferred doneness. At breakfast, we were told it would be a choice of main dish plus a semi-buffet, but later we were informed that choosing the Japanese set would not include the semi-buffet, which was a bit disappointing. Even so, this is truly a wonderful Hotel. I look forward to visiting again.

The front desk service was courteous, and I appreciated that they promptly called a taxi for the next day. The Room was clean and comfortable. In addition, there is a convenience store attached to the Hotel, which is handy even when it’s windy and rainy. I would like to stay here again.

This was my 8th stay at the FAUCHON Hotel Kyoto—my absolute favorite in Kyoto, which I love so much. I was visiting Kyoto for a friend’s grand opening celebration, and at the perfect time I received a birthday coupon from the FAUCHON spa. So I decided, “Let’s treat myself to a special birthday FAUCHON hotel stay!” I planned it with excitement—booking the towel cake I’d seen on Instagram and in Reviews on IKYU.com for the first time, along with the spa’s pink bubble bath that had made me unbelievably happy before. It was my third time staying in an East Higashiyama-view FAUCHON Suite, but the sofa and table layout had changed. The moment I entered the room, I couldn’t help cheering at how adorable the towel cake was—I took tons of photos and enjoyed it to the fullest! The handwritten “Happy Birthday” message on my key card, and the illustrated birthday card placed with the towel cake, became precious keepsakes that I brought home as treasured memories. The cute hand-drawn illustrations on both the full-length mirror and bathroom mirror also made me feel endlessly happy every time I saw them. I’m truly glad I chose to spend my birthday hotel stay in a FAUCHON Suite! Since my Plan included lounge access, I spaced it out from my spa appointment and enjoyed an early dinner and drinks. Along with my favorite champagne and umeshu, after enjoying the Shigaraki-ware bathtub in my room once, I topped up fluids and sugar with cola and sweets before heading to the spa. Even for the pink bubble bath at the spa—which I had been looking forward to so much—they prepared another towel cake with a heart. After having my tired feet massaged, I returned straight to my bed in the room and instantly fell asleep—I was blissfully happy beyond words. The next morning, I woke naturally before 4:00 a.m., watched dawn during magic hour, wrote myself a birthday card using one of the room postcards (and mailed it at a postbox at the end of my trip), enjoyed tea and coffee, and savored that Higashiyama view from by-the-window table. The steamed breakfast served in bamboo steamers at restaurant breakfast, as well as a birthday message cake after checkout—and even iced tea brewed by Grandy Master—everything was delicious. It was simply amazing. After buying souvenirs, even tag message attached to tote bag when they stored luggage were adorable too. Until leaving The FAUCHON Hotel Kyoto at last , this is best lingering feeling remained; It was best-ever FAUCHON hotel stay of mine! Thank you so much for such an overwhelmingly happiness-filled time!

We had a very comfortable stay. The Room we stayed in was the Comfort Extra Twin. Within its compact size, it features a bathroom with a washing area, a separate toilet, and a washbasin. Shoes are not allowed on the floor inside the Room. It was perfect for those who don’t need a large, luxurious Room and want to keep costs down, but still want to relax in the bath and use the toilet without feeling self-conscious. One small note: since there is only a curtain separating the beds from the washbasin area (i.e., the changing space), some guests may find it bothersome. For us, as a family traveling with small children, it didn’t bother us at all. Other nice perks included borrowing manga to read, an on-site coin laundry, welcome drinks, and good value benefits.

During our trip to Ise, we stayed at this Ryokan in Toba and had a truly wonderful time. From the warm welcome on arrival, the bus driver’s cheerful conversation helped us relax and made us feel comfortable from the very start of our journey. At the Ryokan, the Onsen was exceptional. I was so happy that my skin felt silky smooth that I ended up soaking six times—I couldn’t have been more satisfied. The staff also kindly gave us detailed advice for sightseeing the next day. They even considered train schedules, which helped us make the most of our limited time. Of course, we were completely satisfied with everything—the view from our Room and all of the meals. In every moment, we felt the staff’s thoughtful attention to detail, and it was clear that they are consistently well trained. Finding a Ryokan that genuinely made me think, “I want to stay here again,” is one of my favorite memories from this trip. Thank you very much to all of the staff. When we visit Ise and Toba again, we would love to stay with you.

Convenient location The Room was compact yet very functional, and I had a very comfortable stay. On one day with strong winds, I could hear a bit of wind noise, but it was quiet once the wind died down. I appreciated the free parking.

As it is also a training facility, there is a large desk, making it very comfortable for those who work in the room. The shower had good pressure, drainage was excellent, and perhaps because it is still new, everything was very clean and comfortable. The bed allowed for a restful sleep. Next time, I would like to try the breakfast.

I stayed here last year and loved it, so I came back. The Room and Facility are new and very clean. It’s directly connected to Yotsubashi Station, which is super convenient, and you can also reach Shinsaibashi Station via an underground passageway. It’s a bit long, but better than walking outside. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and having an AEON on the first floor is really handy. The nightwear is very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was great again this year—there were mini rice bowls this time, which was a nice addition. Even with a Multiple Night Stay, you won’t get bored. I’d be happy if they brought back the kushikatsu that was available last year. Since many people seem to buy breakfast at the neighboring AEON, the breakfast buffet doesn’t get too crowded, so you can eat at a relaxed pace—another plus. It’s reasonably priced and tasty. The bathroom in the Room isn’t a typical unit bath; it has a separate washing area and feels spacious, which is a big plus. The only disappointment was that there were no complimentary bottled waters in the Room. Tap water in Japan is drinkable (there’s even a note by the sink), but I still prefer mineral water. You can easily buy it at AEON right away, though. I’ll definitely stay here again when I visit Osaka next year.

It was a relatively new and clean Hotel. The front desk, lounge, hallways, and other areas were well maintained and thoroughly cleaned, so you could really tell how hygienic it was. The welcome services were plentiful, and I was able to relax at ease. In particular, the late-night ochazuke service was something you don’t find elsewhere, and it was excellent! As is probably the case at many tourist destinations, this Hotel also had many international guests who seemed to be enjoying their stay. The large public bath isn’t very big, but I was able to unwind. Breakfast offered a wide variety of items and tasted great. If I visit Kanazawa again for sightseeing, this is a Hotel I’d like to stay at again.

At check-in, it was probably the same staff member as last time, and they welcomed me warmly again. There were no issues, and I stayed comfortably in a clean Room until check-out. My Room was near the elevator, but it was very quiet—perhaps because the other guests were considerate. However, due to time and energy constraints, I couldn’t use the large public bath again... Next time for sure...!

Given the price, I wasn’t expecting much, but it was cleaner and more comfortable than I thought. It was great to have a large public bath, and I felt the food quality was good as well. The only downside—though it was my fault—was that I got lost on the way there and found the location a bit hard to find. Still, I’d like to stay here again.

I often have trouble sleeping in Hotels, but I slept soundly and was very satisfied. The soundproofing must be excellent—there was no noise at all, and the air conditioning was quiet, so I felt no stress. From now on, I think I’ll stop staying at cheap Business Hotels.

The check-in staff greeted me with a pleasant, genuine smile, and their service made it clear that the company’s hospitality training is excellent. The Room key is a type where you enter using a 6-digit PIN, so once you remember it, it’s convenient when going to the bath since you don’t need to carry anything except a towel, and it also feels secure from a safety standpoint. The Room was small for one person and was mostly taken up by the bed, so doing desk work would be a bit difficult, but if you’re just there to sleep, it was spacious enough. However, I have lower back pain and needed a firmer mattress; my back hurt slightly in the morning, so unfortunately it didn’t suit me. You can choose your preferred pillow next to reception, but I don’t usually use one so I didn’t take advantage of this. I love Onsen and used it three times during my one-night stay; by the second time I could feel benefits strong enough to moisturize my dry skin, so I was satisfied. I would have liked a few more hot dishes at the breakfast buffet. There were several kinds of bread available. The tomato dressing for the salad was delicious. There weren’t many side dishes overall, but considering it as breakfast, I also felt it was sufficient. Overall, with good service, cleanliness, an Onsen on site, and breakfast buffet included at this price range, I think this is a Hotel I can confidently recommend. One thing to note is that there aren’t any restaurants within walking distance from the Hotel for dinner, so you’ll likely want to drive somewhere or buy food in advance for peace of mind. Also, alcohol isn’t sold at the Hotel; if you plan to drink in your Room, I recommend purchasing drinks beforehand.

I considered an Accommodation on the Nagara River because I wanted to show my daughter cormorant fishing. An Onsen Accommodation would have been nice, but we wanted a buffet-style meal, so we chose this Hotel. It was an extremely hot day, and the moment we stepped into the Hotel, the cool air revived us. As a Diamond member benefit, I was happy to receive a one-drink service in the first-floor lounge. The Room we were assigned was on a high floor with a great view, and it was spotless—truly impressive. The dinner buffet isn’t in a huge restaurant, but the quality of the dishes served was excellent, and we enjoyed everything. Drink prices were reasonable for a Hotel, and since it was before cormorant fishing, my daughter and I each enjoyed one drink. We used taxis for round-trip transportation to the cormorant fishing site, which made it very comfortable. Even though it was hot that day, there was a pleasant river breeze, and it helped us forget the daytime heat for a while. Because the river level was low, it seems they didn’t actually catch many ayu, but being able to see energetic cormorants up close made it a great experience. At breakfast, there were many inbound guests early on, but they cleared out quickly, so we were able to eat in peace. The well-known ayu rice porridge was delicious—I went back for seconds several times. The selection of dishes also reflected local flavors well, with various Gifu specialties, which I appreciated. For morning fruit there were oranges, pineapple, and lychees; I’d be happier if there were a few more options. I liked the selection at the shop as well. If I had one request, I would truly appreciate Shuttle Service from the station to the Hotel. As expected of an established Hotel with history behind it, my daughter and I enjoyed an elegant stay. Thank you very much.

Both breakfast and dinner were exceptionally delicious, and we were completely satisfied. The view from the lounge was wonderful. From the in-room scenic bath, we could look out over the sea, and from the living area we could see airplanes up close. In the open-air bath of the large public bath, we could look up at planes just before landing, and were truly impressed by how powerful it was. We look forward to visiting again next year after the renovations are completed.

I chose this Hotel because I thought it was the best option in Ofunato City for my friend’s stay. My friend was very satisfied, so I’m giving it a high rating. Thank you.
