All the staff were incredibly friendly, and they even saw us off at the end, which made us feel wonderful. At breakfast, we enjoyed local Shinshu flavors such as mushrooms and ended up eating a lot.

The location was excellent, and the staff were warm, attentive, and thoughtful. The taste and quality of the meals were also outstanding—everything was truly wonderful. I was impressed that the Room had a kettle of hot water, a pitcher of iced water, and bottled water at room temperature prepared in advance. It’s rare to find an Accommodation that provides three different temperature options, all ready to drink right away. There was a 10-cup kendama set in the lobby, and it became a fun memory as not only children but adults also gathered around to try it together. When the strings got tangled and we struggled to put it back properly, someone from the front desk came out to help us. It may seem like a small thing, but we really appreciated their kindness. The breakfast buffet was well stocked, tasted great, offered plenty of variety, and left us completely satisfied. It was also great that we could use the bathhouse from early morning until late at night. If there were an open-air bath as well, it would be perfect. If I have another chance to visit Miyajima, I would definitely stay here again.

Even after setting the navigation system, the destination disappeared along the way. Feeling a bit uneasy, we followed the signboards and drove deeper into the mountains on narrow roads—then suddenly, there was the Accommodation entrance. The warm light that appeared in that moment was a real relief. The staff’s welcome and service were also very courteous. We headed straight to the private indoor bath in our Room. Just as I was about to soak in the retro-style tub that felt like an old hot-spring cure retreat, a large hornet—stuck and unable to get out through the window—greeted us first. We somehow dealt with it using the free-flowing natural hot spring water (quite hot). Once adjusted to just the right temperature, it felt amazing on the skin and was incredibly relaxing. When my wife took her turn, this time a rhinoceros beetle stopped by to say hello. Just as explained in advance by the Accommodation, we had a rare experience surrounded by rich nature. From the scenic open-air bath, we enjoyed views of mountains stretching out as if they were ours alone. The meals were also carefully prepared. We were able to spend a truly unhurried time here. This was my second stay this year because I particularly enjoyed the food last time. Originally a bank's retreat, the compact front desk and building layout reflect its history. There is no greeting upon arrival, luggage assistance, or farewell service (you carry your luggage to the third-floor front desk yourself and leave on your own). However, I appreciate the stunning ocean view from the hilltop location and the cozy atmosphere with only 10 rooms. The Onsen features a 78-degree natural hot spring source, with a slightly small but pleasant open-air bath and high-quality massage chairs. This time, I stayed in a Western-style room near the elevator that was added later; it was spacious, clean, and had comfortable beds. The only downside was that the sink and toilet were adjacent without separation—though it did provide an open feel upon reflection. Dinner could only be enjoyed at the restaurant (unlike last time when in-room dining allowed for more relaxation), which was disappointing as wearing loungewear is not permitted—I would have preferred to dine in a relaxed atmosphere in loungewear. Starting February next year, dinner times will shift to two seatings; however, I hope they maintain flexibility like now where you can choose every 30 minutes. The food met expectations—delicious despite not using particularly expensive ingredients—with intricate sauces and beautiful presentation that truly felt like fine cuisine. Breakfast also offered plenty of variety and quality. Before dinner at the lounge, I ordered Royal Milk Tea which was so delicious that I ordered it again in the morning while enjoying an elegant atmosphere with ocean views through large windows. A staff member kindly offered to take my photo during this time while explaining distant scenery details—a friendly gesture that elevated my impression of this accommodation’s overall service level. Its convenient distance from Osaka makes me want to visit again!

We stayed here during the Obon holiday on a trip to the Sanin region. The Room was a comfortable space that helped us unwind from our daily fatigue, and it was wonderful. We were also very satisfied with both dinner and breakfast, fully enjoying the bounty of Sanin’s sea and mountains! We are grateful for the warm hospitality of the staff and chef. The Room with a private pool is pricey, but it was excellent. The weather is pleasantly cool, making it a great place for a summer getaway. Since there’s also a private pool and an Onsen, you could still enjoy your stay even without a pool in the Room. The meals were disappointing—despite the price, they felt very much like catered food. I understand it may be difficult to secure a chef, though…

It would be great if guests could check the availability of the private bath from their Room. Personally, I was hoping for delicious sashimi, and it was served in beautifully crafted dishes and tasted excellent. Haruna Shrine has a wonderful atmosphere and is highly recommended.

The staff greeted us with warm smiles. They informed us about the chance to see fireflies at night, and when we went to check it out after our bath, we were amazed by the numerous fireflies. We also appreciated that the lighting was dimmed for better viewing. The Room was spacious, and both the private bath and large public bath were excellent.

This time, I stayed for a one-night trip with a friend after not traveling together for a while. I had previously stayed here for my mother’s birthday, and although it was my first visit in four years, the baths were still wonderful. Above all, I love the location right in the heart of the Onsen town, and I fully enjoyed the Onsen—visiting Oyu twice as well. We booked a breakfast-only Plan, and we were very satisfied with the hearty breakfast; my friend then headed back to Osaka.

The bath and Room were clean and comfortable, and all the staff were very kind. Both dinner and breakfast had just the right seasoning and portions, and everything was delicious. It would be perfect if breakfast included a small dessert bite and after-meal coffee. This was a Ryokan I would definitely like to stay at again and recommend to friends. This was our first stay in three years, and our first summer visit with children. After enjoying the pool, our child fell asleep and we weren’t sure what to do, so we asked just in case—and you were able to let us check in almost two hours earlier than planned. It was a huge help. Our child was fully refreshed after a nap on the bed, and we were able to enjoy the pool even more afterward. The BBQ was also great for families with kids—our children played on the lawn, so we could relax and take our time. It’s a bit of a shame that we couldn’t use the container sauna or spa because we had children with us, but we were very satisfied with the extraordinary experience that felt like being abroad. We would be very happy if the wine selection could be improved a little more.

I don’t usually post Reviews, but this stay was truly wonderful, so I wanted to leave a comment. We stayed for one night to celebrate my husband’s birthday. From the pleasant service at the front desk to the Onsen amenities and the afternoon tea served in our Room, we felt warm hospitality everywhere—a genuine desire to delight guests throughout our stay. While the building itself is historic, it is impeccably cleaned and well maintained down to every detail, and you can really tell how much the staff cherish this Hotel. In addition to the breathtaking views of the Seto Inland Sea from the expansive grounds, we enjoyed strolling through the fields and lawns and searching for art objects—simply being on the property made us feel enriched. And the birthday cake prepared for our celebration was unbelievably delicious—we were truly impressed! It may have been the best birthday cake I’ve ever had. My husband was thrilled as well and said, “I want to come back here again next year.” Choosing this Hotel was absolutely the right decision. It became a wonderful memory for us. Thank you very much.

My father loved this Accommodation so much during our previous stay that we came back again. Everyone on the staff was so thoughtful, and the food in particular was delicious. We could really feel your hospitality. Even the tableware became part of our conversation, and my father’s favorite—pike conger—was especially tasty. Even after we got home, he kept saying, “It was delicious.” The portions were generous, so it may have been a bit too much for seniors. I felt bad leaving some behind. At night, I soaked in the ceramic tub and relaxed while gazing at the stars—it was truly healing time. We will definitely visit again. Thank you very much.

We stayed for two nights during the Obon holiday season. It was a good Accommodation with easy access for swimming in the sea. However, at breakfast on the first morning, the rice was undercooked with many hard parts and clumps, which was disappointing. Also, there was a dragon decoration in front of the bath area that looked eerie at night and felt scary. The meals on the second night were tastier than on the first night; our whole family felt the same. All of the staff were kind and courteous, which we appreciated.

All the staff were very kind and attentive, and we felt comfortable throughout our stay. The views from the Room and throughout the Hotel were wonderful, and we enjoyed a lovely time along with delicious meals. This is a Hotel we would definitely like to stay at again when visiting Toba.

We stayed here for sightseeing. We thought it was a Resort Hotel mainly for golf, but it was also a great Hotel to enjoy for sightseeing. The large public bath and open-air bath were at just the right temperature and very relaxing. Dinner featured excellent dishes, plus obanzai, and we were satisfied because we chose the all-you-can-drink option with sake, shochu, and beer. The breakfast buffet was also outstanding. The front desk staff were friendly and fun, and we made wonderful memories.

I finally got to visit Shirahone Onsen and soak in its milky-white waters. The meals and the hospitality/service were just right, and I had an even better time than expected.

Third visit I accidentally made a Reservation for the Japanese restaurant, but they kindly accommodated my last-minute change. When I mentioned during the Reservation that it was my daughter’s birthday, they surprised us at dinner with a beautiful bouquet and a special dessert plate. We were truly satisfied with their warm hospitality. Above all, we enjoyed what felt like a private beach far from any crowds, along with the infinity pool and sauna. Surrounded by crystal-clear sea and sky, we had an unforgettable time. The food was delicious as well! We’ll be back again.

We stayed for two nights as a base for sightseeing and were able to rest well thanks to the quiet atmosphere and comfortable beds. This time we focused on sightseeing and only had breakfast, but the morning buffet was delicious. The spacious, easy-to-use parking lot also left a great impression.

Overall, it was a very satisfying trip. First of all, everyone at the Accommodation was thoughtful and attentive, and they took great care of us. The Accommodation is built spanning a gorge, and together with the surrounding walking paths it was a very pleasant place. The open-air bath in the Room was excellent, and it also had a washing area, so one of the three of us was always in the bath. However, the large public bath felt fairly ordinary, and the hours were short as it was only open until 9:00 a.m. in the morning. Also, we received free café vouchers, but we were told we couldn’t add milk or lemon either, which left us with a slightly stingy impression. That said, as I mentioned at the beginning, our family of three had a wonderful trip overall—thank you very much.
