The larger bed made my stay very comfortable. I’d like to stay here again.

It was our first stay in a year, and we were accommodated in a spacious Room with new, clean tatami mats. We requested abalone as steak and spiny lobster grilled, and it was a very satisfying day. For breakfast, we enjoyed plenty of delicious Milky Queen rice and simmered sea bream bones before heading home. Thank you very much.

This was my fifth stay in Sakihana Onsen, but my first time staying at this Accommodation. The bath was small, but since it was a weekday and not crowded, it was more than sufficient. Everything was well cleaned and the service was excellent—worlds apart from the Accommodation I visited last month. The meals were also delicious. It was a shame that bathing hours were limited to 11:00 p.m., and only from 7:00 a.m. in the morning.

It felt like the Accommodation had been upgraded compared to my previous stay. The staff came out from the front desk to welcome us, carried our luggage, and created a bright, courteous atmosphere. We had our dog with us, and it was very reassuring. I also accidentally forgot our dog’s bowl, but you kindly lent us a replacement—thank you so much. Next time I’ll bring it. The squid sashimi and tempura we’d been looking forward to were wonderful, and the abalone shabu-shabu I tried for the first time was excellent. The other dishes were also delicious. It’s such a comfortable Accommodation, and even without traveling far, I don’t think there’s another place in Fukuoka Prefecture that offers this level of attentive service. The price is also very reasonable, so it feels like a great deal. I filmed the squid sashimi as a video, but unfortunately couldn’t upload it. Highly recommended.

It is in a very convenient location near Takayama Jinya, and free parking is also available. As it was right in the middle of the Hina Matsuri season, both the Hotel and the main building were decorated with many hina dolls, from old ones such as Goten-bina and Kyoho-bina to newly made dolls, which we really enjoyed. The seasonal kaiseki dinner was delicious, and even the tableware was thoroughly themed around hina dolls, making it an amazing experience. The Room had a river view that let us feel the atmosphere of the old townscape, and the Onsen bath was very relaxing. The staff were kind as well—this is a Ryokan I would recommend.

No words needed. We had such a truly wonderful time. A perfect summer moment. Thank you again for the lovely memories.

On October 29th, I stayed with my partner. As a Kyoto resident, I have a deep appreciation for Japanese culture, and without a doubt, Manyotei is the best accommodation. We set an average budget of 50,000 yen for two people per night with two meals included. We travel six times a year for a total of 12 nights annually and have continued this tradition into our 74th year. Looking back on our experiences, this accommodation definitely ranks in the top three. The reasons are: 1. The dinner and breakfast are exceptionally delicious. 2. The natural Onsen springs at pH 2.1 and nearly 70°C (the morning open-air bath is especially popular). 3. Breakfast starts leisurely at 7:30 AM due to its proximity to Mount Bandai's surroundings. 4. All guests were Japanese (perhaps because it’s a Ryokan or by coincidence?). 5. The staff's hospitality was impeccable. This is truly one of those rare accommodations we want to visit again! Highly recommended for retired couples traveling together. Manyotei is an ideal choice for those who enjoy Nyuto Onsen or Myounoyu Onsen. We will definitely return—thank you very much!

This Accommodation was even more comfortable than we expected for a trip with three adult female friends. What made us happiest was that each of the three of us could have our own Room. At night, we could relax in our own space, sleep well, and feel refreshed for sightseeing the next day. There were also two toilets, which made getting ready in the morning smooth. Both the Rooms and the water areas were kept very clean, and the amenities were well stocked. Since most essentials were provided, we were glad we could pack lighter as well. The bath was spacious and spotless. Soaking and unwinding after walking around Kyoto felt wonderful. There were plenty of plates, glasses, and cutlery too, so we could buy what we liked at a nearby supermarket and enjoy it leisurely in our Room—another great plus. The location was convenient for walking to sightseeing spots, and it was nice to be able to return to the Accommodation quickly when we got tired. If you want to fully enjoy sightseeing while also relaxing at your own pace at the Accommodation, this is a perfect place for an adult women’s trip to Kyoto. We would definitely like to stay here again when we visit Kyoto next time.

Our couple in our 50s stayed for one night with our child’s couple in their 20s and our dog. The Room was spacious and pleasantly nostalgic, with a well-equipped kitchen, and the bathroom and toilet were spotlessly clean. The amenities were comparable to a Hotel. The staff were courteous, and we were able to relax completely. Since this Accommodation has no TV, it’s perfect for a digital detox! We wanted to do so many things—fireworks, stargazing, calligraphy—but ran out of time and left wishing we could have done more. This is an Accommodation meant for enjoying your time on-site. The stairs are quite steep, with the bedroom on the second floor and only one toilet on the first floor, which felt a bit risky for elderly guests or those with small children—so we rated only the Facility/equipment category as 4.

We stayed here to celebrate a special anniversary, and it turned out to be an even more wonderful stay than we expected. The warm, attentive hospitality from the proprietress and all the staff made us feel truly welcomed. The Room was exceptionally clean and well maintained, so we could relax in complete comfort. Each private bath had its own charm, and we were able to fully enjoy the Onsen at our leisure. Both dinner and breakfast were extremely satisfying. Dinner offered a wide variety of dishes—everything from meat and fresh sashimi to richly flavored vegetables was outstanding. Breakfast also featured local ingredients, with gentle seasoning that suited our tastes perfectly. Since it was our anniversary, we requested a surprise cake, and they kindly accommodated us, making this an unforgettable trip. We would love to return again in a different season. Thank you so very much.

There were lots of adorable cats, and they played with us using toys! When we left the Room door slightly open, they came in, which was incredibly soothing. We also had a child with us, and they happily played with the toys, so we’re really glad we came. Even our daughter, who usually spends her time playing games, didn’t play even once—it turned into a fulfilling day and we were very satisfied! She said she wants to come again, so we’ll check our schedule and plan to visit again.

I stayed in a Room at Hakubaittei. The building is old, and the in-room toilet, sink, and bath felt dated, but everything was well cleaned and felt hygienic. The light switches were unresponsive and had a delay before turning on, which was inconvenient. The Onsen baths offer a wide variety and were very satisfying. There are also many open-air baths. The changing area was clean as well. There are several entrances to the baths, but when using the entrance near the front desk, the cold-water dispenser was only located between the changing area and the bathing area. It would have been nice to have a cold-water dispenser with cups near that entrance or in the changing area. There were dispensers near other entrances. The meals weren’t anything special, but everything tasted good. The service was also good. The breakfast buffet had plenty of variety and was delicious, with shabu-shabu, tuna sashimi, and kamameshi even in the morning. I chose this Accommodation for the baths and food, so it was absolutely the right choice! I’d like to stay again.

What I liked 1. The complimentary drinks on arrival—draft beer was excellent. The oden was also great. You don’t find this at other places. 2. The shampoo bar in the Onsen area—this was a favorite and not something other places offer. 3. It was great that the games were free of charge. 4. We enjoyed table tennis, and we really appreciated that it was free of charge. Request for improvement Since we stayed in Aoi-kan, I understand that the building is older, but I did notice an odor in the corridors and in our Room. My daughter also said the corridor smell made it feel a bit spooky, which was disappointing. These days, scent is important—for example, Lexus dealerships have a very pleasant fragrance inside—so I would appreciate it if you could install a fragrance diffuser or similar device in the corridors. That said, thank you very much for a satisfying stay.

After enjoying rafting nearby, we stayed overnight. The Room was a spacious Japanese-style room, and we were able to relax comfortably. We had a breakfast-only Plan, so we had dinner at the Hotel restaurant. Since we made a Reservation at check-in, even though it was fully booked that day, we were seated smoothly. The baths are in a separate building behind the Hotel, and we also enjoyed the open-air bath. When we go rafting again, we’d like to stay at this Hotel! Thank you very much!

The natural Onsen spring water was available and very relaxing. The washing area also had ReFa showerheads, and the fine bubbles made washing my face feel great. The cake buffet was enjoyable as well, with cakes and Japanese sweets such as arare rice crackers and mitarashi dango, plus many kinds of drinks.

This was my first stay, and I was very satisfied—not only with the fireworks, but also with the Onsen and the meals (both breakfast and dinner were served in semi-private dining rooms, and dinner was a kaiseki course).

Shizukatei True to its name, this Accommodation was wonderfully quiet and relaxing, far removed from any hustle and bustle, and surrounded by peaceful rural scenery. The road to the Accommodation was a narrow farm lane where passing other cars required care, but clear signs were placed at key points, and as we got closer, banners guided us along the route. Soba-an I had high expectations for the 80/20 soba served at dinner, but it easily surpassed them—it was exceptionally delicious. In addition, many dishes were prepared using plenty of seasonal vegetables, carefully cooked and beautifully presented. We enjoyed a wide variety of flavors and textures, as well as the visual appeal. Breakfast was also an excellent Japanese set meal with plenty of vegetables and a generous number of dishes. Oshu Hiraizumi Onsen The free-flowing natural Onsen water was a little hot, but we thoroughly enjoyed it together with the open-air bath. Finally, what impressed me most during this stay was the staff. From check-in to being shown to our Room; since dinner was served in-room, their smooth service and efficient delivery; after the meal, clearing everything away and then laying out the futons with equally outstanding efficiency; checkout was completed without any waiting time, and they even came outside to see us off afterward. This was our first visit during Golden Week as part of a family trip service day, and my family was truly happy and satisfied. We were deeply impressed by the professionalism of everyone involved.

I stayed at Zazan Minakami for two days to visit Mt. Tanigawa. I made a Reservation with the most affordable Plan and chose the mini kaiseki dinner course. At around JPY 10,000 per person per night, it was very reasonably priced, so I didn’t have especially high expectations at first. However, the staff kindly prepared a top-floor Room for us, and the view of the Tone River from the window was truly soothing. The Room was spacious and bright, and I was able to relax comfortably. Every meal had gentle flavors and was wonderful. In particular, the tempura served at dinner on the second day was crispy on the outside and tender inside—more memorable than dishes I’ve had at luxury Hotels. Breakfast also offered a wide variety of wholesome dishes that made me happy every morning. Even though it was an inexpensive Plan, we received such attentive hospitality that I’m both surprised and deeply grateful. When I visit Mt. Tanigawa again, I would definitely like to stay here. Thank you very much for everything.

We stayed for one night with five people: myself, my third-grade son, my wife, my wife’s older sister, and our preschool-age daughter. Our Room was on the 10th floor of the Annex building. Check-in is separate for the Hotel building, Condo building, and Annex building, and we mistakenly went to the Hotel building first—please be careful. However, they provide a Shuttle Service by cart, so even though the property is large, it wasn’t an issue at all. All of the buildings were clean and felt upscale. With kids, we really appreciated having a washing machine in the Room and a layout where you take off your shoes indoors—it’s very thoughtfully designed. We had dinner at a restaurant called Orange; it was stylish and absolutely delicious. For breakfast the next morning, we chose the top-floor restaurant in the Annex building. It said they served Agu pork, and I didn’t expect much—but after trying it, I was genuinely impressed. Not only was the meat itself outstanding, but I was surprised by how it was offered: essentially “help yourself,” with generous piles prepared. When it ran low they quickly replenished it again and again, so you could enjoy as much excellent Agu pork as you wanted. Even just considering this shabu-shabu breakfast alone, I can confidently say this Hotel is an incredible value. Also around 8:45 p.m., fireworks were launched from the seawall right in front of us. The view was great—nothing to complain about. A wonderful Hotel we will definitely return to.

I was able to relax and take it easy. Sitting by the fireplace, I enjoyed the nostalgic scent, sound, and flames of the burning firewood. The free-flow alcohol and drinks were wonderful—I was pleasantly surprised. It was perfect for a quick drink after a bath. The snacks were delicious as well; it felt like you really let the quality of the ingredients speak for itself. The evening buffet also had a handmade feel and was very tasty. Breakfast offered so many options that I couldn’t try everything. If I have the chance, I’d love to stay again.
