[Hospitality & Service] The Facility staff were kind, friendly, easy to talk to, and truly wonderful. When the fire wouldn’t light, they helped right away, and the next morning they even came over to check on us. From check-in to check-out, their warm and refreshing service made us feel great throughout our stay. (I could tell the moment we arrived that the staff were genuinely nice—haha.) [Room] Both inside and outside the Room were unbelievably clean. The bath was spacious and relaxing, and the air conditioning worked perfectly—“comfortable” is exactly the right word. *My friend said the floor in the Room was so clean, cool, and pleasant that he slept on it even though there was a bed—lol.* Everything we used within the Facility was spotless, so you can really tell how much care goes into every detail. [Other] I honestly have no complaints at all, but if I had to mention just three things: 1) It might be nice to have a TV or something in the Facility? → Since you can enjoy BBQ until night, I personally didn’t need one because it’s great just soaking up the atmosphere—but some guests might head back to their Room earlier. 2) The reception location (at check-in) → It’s not particularly hard to find, but since reception is on the opposite side of the main road, having a sign or clearer guidance might help. (There was information online.) 3) This is such a great Facility that I’d love for you to upload more photos!!! → It was even better than what I expected from the listing photos, so I ended up being pleasantly surprised and very satisfied. [Finally] This time I happened to see “Hikone Lakeside Resort KOMOREVILLAGO” recommended and made a Reservation—but it made me want it to become more well-known because it’s such a place worth supporting. It feels like it will keep developing further as well, so I’m really looking forward to what’s next—haha. I know it must be tough at times, but I hope you keep going strong. Thank you for providing such a comfortable space!!

This was my first visit. About a 20-minute taxi ride from Kibune, after passing through a peaceful satoyama countryside, you’ll find this culinary Ryokan by the Sanzen-in temple gate. Upon arrival, the staff welcomed us with attentive service and treated us to shiso juice. The Room faced the garden and was a calming Japanese-style space. They said they bring Onsen water from Sanzen-in, and I was able to relax and unwind in the open-air bath. The lounge area was well stocked with drinks and ice cream, which was great. Dinner starts at 6:00 PM, but since we had a late lunch, they kindly let us delay it by 30 minutes, which really helped. The dishes were beautifully presented, and everything was delicious. The appetizer featuring an Aoi Matsuri festival float decoration included Chinese lantern plant (hozuki), which made me feel the season. The pike conger (hamo) and sweetfish (ayu) were also beautifully plated and very tasty. Everyone at the Ryokan was truly kind, and their courteous service made me very happy. The Shuttle Service by bus was also extremely helpful. I’d love to visit again. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us.

After my wife was discharged from the hospital, she successfully passed two follow-up checkups, and we finally planned our first trip in a year. While searching for an exceptional stay as a surprise gift, we found this Accommodation. In a completely private setting, we were able to enjoy a blissful escape from everyday life. The Room filled with bright light through floor-to-ceiling glass windows, the vast grassland stretching out before us, the free-flowing Onsen and pool fed directly from the source, and the soothing sounds of nature—just what we could see and hear was enough to heal us. And yet, the chef’s warm personality reflected in every dish, along with stories full of love for Hokkaido, made it truly unforgettable. Using local ingredients along with freshly picked herbs and vegetables harvested right on the property, the unpretentious course allowed us to fully savor Hokkaido. From appetizers created right in front of us to a beautifully cooked main grilled over firewood rather than charcoal, every once-in-a-lifetime dish for that day alone moved us again and again—right through dessert. The wines thoughtfully recommended at just the right moments were also excellent. Small gestures—like turning our leftover corn rice into onigiri for a late-night snack—were deeply touching. The smooth, slightly thick Moor Onsen water left our skin silky soft, and I found myself soaking again and again after dinner, in the middle of the night, and at dawn (laughs). The steam rising into the night air under a sky full of stars was so calming I wished time would stop. Breakfast in the crisp morning air was also an array of homemade delights—we enjoyed every last bit of what this Accommodation has to offer. Spending time in an entirely private space where you can have endless views and the chef’s cuisine all to yourself—without anyone disturbing you—is truly one of a kind. Thanks to you all, it became the best possible surprise trip to celebrate my wife’s discharge. To the chef, manager/director (shihainin), and everyone on staff who helped make our stay so special—thank you very much.

My stay at “Fuji Seiran” in Toda Onsen was truly special and left a lasting impression. What struck me first was the location. From the guest rooms and many areas throughout the property, you can enjoy luxurious views of Mt. Fuji, a UNESCO World Heritage site, creating a wonderful sense of being one with nature. On the day I visited, the sky had cleared after a typhoon, and the air was astonishingly crisp—Mt. Fuji’s silhouette stood out sharply in the distance. At sunset, the beauty of the sky was simply beyond words. The room featured a refined modern Japanese design that balanced calm comfort with an upscale feel. Sitting by the window and taking in the scenery at leisure was a truly indulgent moment that made me forget everyday noise and stress. The Onsen was also excellent—gentle on the skin, and afterward I could feel warmth reaching deep into my body. Dinner left an especially strong impression. Using abundant local ingredients from Izu, each dish showcased what makes this area unique: fresh seafood and seasonal vegetables prepared with great care one by one. Everything was beautifully presented, delighting not only my palate but also my eyes. The cuisine brought out the best of local ingredients and made my trip even more satisfying. The staff were exceptionally courteous, with thoughtful attention to detail throughout my stay. In particular, Ms./Mr. S not only explained details about the Accommodation but also shared knowledge about local highlights and ingredients—and our conversations were genuinely enjoyable as well. Thank you very much. From check-in to check-out, I felt comfortable at every moment thanks to this high level of hospitality. With nature, views, cuisine, and relaxation all coming together perfectly, Fuji Seiran is an Accommodation I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an extraordinary getaway. It was a memorable stay that made me sincerely want to return again someday.

We stayed here for a family trip, and thanks to the great weather, we had a very comfortable stay. The views of Wakasa Fuji and Wakasa Bay were wonderful, and the Italian meals were delicious—we were very satisfied. It was also nice to be able to enjoy breakfast on the open terrace. Although there was a small issue, the staff responded quickly, which actually made it an even more memorable trip.

We visited as a family trip. Because we arrived late, we checked in, picked up the welcome sweets, took a look at our Room, and then headed to the Onsen. The outdoor bath “Shirogane-no-Yu” was wonderful—my skin felt so moisturized! We stayed in a Villa Suite. It’s a log-cabin cottage style Accommodation, and the Room was spacious, very clean, and truly relaxing. There aren’t any paintings or decorations in the Room, but the sky, mountains, and trees seen through the window feel like a framed work of art—I could watch it forever (laugh). It made me realize how long it had been since I lived without thinking about time. For dinner we went to Restaurant Aoyama Ryokusui. You can enjoy dishes that reflect Oze’s nature, such as game meat and wild mountain vegetables. Even while waiting for the next course, staff brought ingredients to show us, so we enjoyed the time between dishes as well. Before bed we went to another Onsen inside the Facility. We were told it uses the same water as Shirogane-no-Yu, and it was perfect for a slow soak at night. The next morning we drove to Shiori Pass to see Takigumo (waterfall clouds). We were lucky enough to see them! Waking up early was worth it. It’s just a short drive from the Facility, so I highly recommend it. Breakfast included seasonal vegetables and wild mountain plants as well as river fish—and above all, the rice was delicious! Many of the staff are young, but everyone was polite and greeted us with warm smiles, which helped us relax throughout our stay. If you arrive earlier there also seems to be a kitchen tour; I’d love to join next time if I have the chance. Honestly, my only thought is that I wish we could have stayed longer… We definitely want to come back!

There is an accommodation nestled in a forested hill within walking distance from Nakatsugawa Station. The expansive grounds are lush with greenery and feature scattered traditional detached buildings, exuding the charm of a mountain retreat. Surrounded by garden stones, plants, and tea flowers, the landscaping is meticulously maintained. The historic buildings showcase aged materials and fittings that reflect their history and character but are kept impeccably clean. Each unit has been updated with a spacious unit bath equipped with a washing area and modern toilet facilities for convenient use at any time. One of the detached buildings houses large communal baths for men and women, each featuring rectangular stone bathtubs that can accommodate several people along with two washing areas. Large glass windows open fully to reveal views of the bright forest outside. While not an onsen, it offers an atmosphere reminiscent of one. The accommodation is conveniently located near Magome and Tsumago, attracting many international guests seeking its unique ambiance. Meals are served in private dining rooms within separate annexes where guests can enjoy dishes at tables with chairs. The cuisine features innovative rural delicacies inspired by tea kaiseki style, showcasing creativity and meticulous preparation in every dish. Pure rice sake available in the room's refrigerator pairs perfectly with these meals. Nights here are quiet, offering warmth despite being housed in old Japanese-style architecture known for its gaps between structures. The hospitality provided by the staff adds to this warm experience as well.

From the Room’s large window, I could see small boats stored away. It was quiet and completely silent. The meals were enhanced by the aroma of olive oil, bringing out the natural flavors of the ingredients. I would like to return.

We had the pleasure of welcoming the New Year with exceptional cuisine crafted by the chef, excellent management, and warm hospitality from the staff. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy two days of creative dishes made with carefully selected ingredients from Munakata. The pumpkin potage was truly remarkable. We look forward to visiting again to experience another unforgettable moment.

The Facility was very clean with almost no odor, making it extremely pleasant. We stayed in a suite, which was so spacious for two people that it felt like too much room—probably enough to accommodate six people comfortably. The view from the living room was also fantastic. The meals were delicious, and it was wonderful that dogs could join us at the table. All the Hotel staff were dog lovers and fully committed to a dog-first approach, making our stay exceptional. We would love to stay here again many times in the future!

Wanting to show my support for Fukushima as it continues its recovery, I stayed at this Hotel as a base to visit the Nuclear Disaster Archive, Ukedo Elementary School, Futaba Super Zero Mill, and the Reconstruction Memorial Park. When I called in advance, perhaps because it is a new Hotel, I felt a bit uneasy about the phone response; however, once I arrived, aside from it being hard to tell from the main entrance that the front desk is on the second floor, all of the staff were very smooth and helpful, and my stay was extremely comfortable. The amenities are excellent—I was happy to find ReFa hair dryers and shampoo. And the bath towels were so light and comfortable! I’ve never been impressed by towels at any Hotel before. Once I realized they were Zero Mill towels, it made perfect sense. I bought some towels thinking they would be for guests, but I’m going to start using them myself right away! The restaurant meals were also delicious. Dinner was so good that my sister even said, “Breakfast should be great too,” and looked forward to it. There was an Akabeko displayed with the local ingredients—cute and easy to understand—and everything tasted great. The Futaba bookshelf had picture books organized by theme as well… My stay was too short to take my time browsing (and reading), but with features like this and the spa as well—and with pleasant breezes and the sound of waves—it seems like an Accommodation you could really enjoy staying at.

I stayed here recently, and it was a truly wonderful Ryokan! Above all, the meals were incredibly lavish, and every dish was delicious. I especially loved the miso soup with spiny lobster. I got to fully enjoy the seafood and was completely satisfied! The proprietress was also very friendly and shared lots of stories with us. Rather than feeling like we were staying at a Ryokan, it felt like visiting a warm family home—such a welcoming, homey atmosphere left a strong impression. When I went out for an evening walk, she turned out to be very knowledgeable about constellations and taught me all sorts of things about them—another lovely memory. The Room was very spacious, and since it had just been renovated, it was clean and comfortable. The ocean view from the in-room bath and the balcony was absolutely stunning—I could have stared at it forever. It felt almost “a shame to sleep,” because I enjoyed such a luxurious time. It’s also close to the beach, so after swimming you can head straight to the Ryokan bath—another great plus. Everything flowed smoothly up to dinner time as well, so even after playing in the sea we could relax at our own pace. The Ryokan bath also featured beautiful carvings that showed real attention to detail, making it wonderfully soothing. I’d recommend this Ryokan for both family trips and getaways with your partner. If you want delicious food, a beautiful sea view, and warm hospitality, you should definitely stay here!

We stayed for a one-night, two-day trip to see the autumn leaves as a group of four women. This was our second stay. The accommodation is conveniently located in the center of Kyoto, making it easy to access various destinations. On the first day, we took the Randen train to Arashiyama, and on the second day, we visited Kurama. The staff were kind and provided attentive service, which made us feel very comfortable. At check-in, they served matcha tea along with sweets, which we enjoyed very much. The accommodation offers a cozy space that feels like home where you can relax at ease. It was quiet at night, allowing us to sleep soundly. It’s such a wonderful accommodation that I would love to stay here again!

Even though dogs are allowed, the place was very clean and spacious, and we were very satisfied! It was disappointing that there were no amenities such as toothbrushes. The refrigerator was large, and we were given a Room with an oven, so we could cook what we wanted, which was great! There is no elevator, so carrying luggage up to the 3rd floor and getting our dog upstairs was tough. There was a dog run, but since there was no explanation, we didn’t know where it was; we only noticed it before leaving and couldn’t use it, which was disappointing. Since our Room had only a shower, we couldn’t go out leaving our dog behind, so we couldn’t go to the Onsen—having a bathtub would have been nice. We were bothered by the sound of laundry on the same floor late at night, but overall it was good and we’d like to stay again!

I mistakenly reserved a plan without dinner, but when I explained the situation, they kindly prepared rice for dinner on the spot. They also recommended a supermarket for shopping, which was very helpful. I truly appreciate their kindness and will definitely visit again next year.

The ocean view that greeted us the moment we entered the Room, the stylish background music, and every flower and decorative touch were wonderful. Unfortunately, we had strong winds and rain, but spending a relaxing, luxurious time in such a lovely Room was the best. Also, having the chef cook right in front of us became an unforgettable memory for our children as well, even though they were a little nervous. We would love to come back to enjoy the different views in summer, autumn, and winter from this beautiful Room. All of the staff were very kind. Thank you for taking such great care of us.

The Room was excellent, and the drink service was satisfying. However, possibly due to the rain, the bathroom sink drained slowly, and check-in was difficult and took a considerable amount of time.

It was very clean and well maintained. All of the staff were friendly and made a great impression. I’d love to stay again. Thank you very much.

Everything—from the meals, baths, and Room to the staff’s hospitality—was absolutely satisfying. Both breakfast and dinner were beautifully presented and truly delicious. In addition to what was served at the table for dinner, a separate table was set up with obanzai (Kyoto-style small dishes). Everything I tried was delicious. The broccoli salad, marinated tomatoes, and pickled quail eggs in particular were so good I wanted to try every single dish. Breakfast offered both Japanese- and Western-style options, which I really enjoyed. The baths and Room—and in fact the entire Ryokan—were spotless and very clean. Thoughtful touches were everywhere: trays for jewelry in the bathroom and at the sink in the Room, as well as a warm note about what to do if insects appear along with insect spray provided. It made me feel genuinely happy. And at this price point—I’m truly grateful. I don’t usually want to return to the same Accommodation, but this is a wonderful place that makes me want to come back.

We stayed in a sunny corner Room with a great view, and thanks to the nice weather we had a wonderfully refreshing time. The night view was perfect as well. The meals were outstanding—we enjoyed fresh duck and boar with no odor at all, delicately seasoned and elegant in flavor. Breakfast also came with many small side dishes, so satisfying that you’ll want seconds of rice; I recommend the plan with both dinner and breakfast included. It seems to be an older building, but once inside it is kept very clean, with no dustiness at all. Everything is well maintained and thoroughly cleaned. The proprietress was also very kind, and I would love to see her again. If you’re sightseeing around Nara Station it may feel a bit far, but the area around this Ryokan offers wonderful views from Mt. Ikoma and lets you enjoy a different side of Nara’s scenery, so I highly recommend it.
