I had a relaxing and leisurely time. It was enjoyable. Having a rice cooker was very helpful.

We visited as a group of six: a family of four with two brothers (an older brother in kindergarten and a younger brother who will soon turn 2), plus grandpa and grandma. Our younger child is at an age where he can’t sit still, so even eating out is usually a bit challenging. That’s why we chose this Accommodation, where we could relax without worrying about others. It turned out to be truly wonderful. At a regular park you have to constantly worry about kids running off, but here the area is enclosed, which was such a relief! Some of the play equipment was still a bit advanced for our 1-year-old, but there was also a swing and plenty of outdoor toys, so I think he had an amazing time. They also had various toys prepared indoors, so we didn’t have any “I don’t want to go inside!!” tantrums either. We were grateful they even provided bath bombs! Our kids were thrilled with Thomas toys, drawing on the windows, and the night lights too. Our plan was to arrive around noon to play outside and then start BBQ when check-in time came—but around noon it was still drizzling. After seeing the yard, the kids went straight into “we want to play anyway” mode and played while getting a little wet. When the rain got heavier partway through, we headed to a nearby supermarket for a while. By the way, bringing sneakers, sandals, and rain boots for this trip turned out to be the right choice! On our stay date it stopped raining during BBQ time so it worked out fine, but we did find ourselves wishing there were more cover extending over where the tables are set up. Of course there’s some effort involved in preparing most things ourselves, but having energetic kids and not needing to worry about other guests’ eyes made it genuinely stress-free. This was the most relaxing and enjoyable trip with children we’ve ever had!

We stayed as a family of five. The Room was spacious, clean, and had a loft. Overall, we were very satisfied. Here are a few points we noticed that weren’t mentioned in the Hotel details. Check-in is done by yourself on the tablet in the Room; you need to enter personal information for all guests and take a face photo. Check-out was completed with just one button. There was a washing machine outdoors. (We didn’t use it, so I’m not sure if it’s available for use.) There is no TV in the Room. (It’s quiet without one, but families with small children may want to bring a tablet or similar device.) The hair dryer is located near the bed rather than in the bathroom vanity area. (We searched all over before finding it.) The bathtub is quite large, but the front area is deeper than expected, so be careful when getting in. (Even adults may find it surprisingly deep; please watch children closely.) We were concerned that the light shades above the dining/kitchen area were quite dirty. The kitchen exhaust fan won’t run unless you first press the switch next to the small window. The rice cooker has a 5-cup capacity. We heard that the outdoor sauna was easy to operate and very enjoyable. In summer, it would be nice if it could be used until later hours. We would like to stay again if we have another opportunity.

I had a great stay at The Tower before, so this time I chose the Shinsaibashi area! It was very convenient, close to the downtown area. Both the bath and sauna were clean.

The indoor area was very spacious and the facilities were well-equipped, allowing for a comfortable stay. I would like to stay again if I have the opportunity.

The size of this Stays was just right for spending time with family. It wasn't too large to feel unsettling, nor too small to feel cramped. It was about 100 square meters, perhaps? Given the season in December, it was quite cold outside, but the interior was well-heated and perfectly comfortable. A pellet stove was installed, and there was a fence around it for safety, making it reassuring for children. Stepping out into the garden, we were greeted by clear air and a starry sky, allowing us to enjoy a special time that can't be experienced in the city. This Property, which combines the tranquility of an old folk house with nature, was the perfect place to forget the hustle and bustle of daily life. The slowly flowing time and the winter-like crisp air left a wonderful impression on my heart. I especially recommend it to foreign guests.

We stayed as three generations of our family. We were traveling with our twin fourth-graders who have autism and intellectual disabilities. In a typical Hotel, we would need to be constantly mindful of those around us, so we searched for an Accommodation where we could stay privately and found this place. We were truly grateful to be able to relax without worrying about others even if the children suddenly shouted or became noisy in the middle of the night. The staff were also understanding about disabilities, which made us feel safe and comfortable throughout our stay. The artwork displayed inside, created by people with disabilities, was wonderful as well and gave the space a warm atmosphere. Because we could cook for ourselves, it was easy to prepare meals that suited our children’s picky eating habits without forcing anything. We also appreciated the beautiful tableware and well-stocked amenities. The adults enjoyed cooking with Maezawa beef and local sake we purchased nearby. Sharing meals together around the counter was a very happy time for all of us. Another highlight was being able to fully enjoy the charm of this traditional house—the solid, historic feel; the morning views; the sunset; and the sounds of nature outside—at a relaxed pace in complete privacy. In summer, insects do come inside, but even that felt like part of an authentic experience of nature in this area. Our parents also said they would love to come again. We highly recommend this Accommodation to families looking for a place to travel with children with disabilities.

This was my first time staying at this type of accommodation. The house was so spacious that it felt extravagant for just the two of us, and we were excited from the moment we opened the door. The inner courtyard at the back was absolutely beautiful. Even though it was a cold day, all the rooms were kept warm, and we truly appreciated the thoughtful hospitality. Located in a very quiet area, we were able to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing time. We got our meals from a nearby supermarket within walking distance and enjoyed them at the charming counter while having delightful conversations. We talked about wanting to come back for a multiple night stay next time—one night just isn't enough! Completely satisfied, and we'd love to stay here again!

Our family of four stayed for one night. This time it was just a one-night stay, but we thought a Multiple Night Stay would be great for enjoying sightseeing. There is also an Onsen Facility fairly nearby, so it’s convenient if you’re coming by car. This is an Accommodation we were glad we chose.

The atmosphere and decor of the building were excellent! Although it is a bit away from the city center, it is in a quiet location and very comfortable to stay.

This was my second stay. During my previous visit, I thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful environment, and this time, with the addition of sauna facilities and the installation of stairs to the river, I noticed an upgrade in both the facilities and hospitality, which made me very satisfied. I brought foreign guests with me this time, and I was delighted that they enjoyed it even more than our trip to Kamikochi and Karuizawa the previous week. As a concept of a private cottage, I believe this facility is unmatched by others. Although we couldn't see the starry sky, said to be the best in Japan, due to the cloudy weather, we were able to enjoy a healing space that made up for it. I would like to visit again during the autumn foliage season.

This was a truly wonderful Accommodation, perfectly suited to Hakodate’s historic old town with its many heritage buildings. Both the bathtub and the bed were large and very comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped with all the necessary cooking utensils, so we bought local ingredients and cooked for ourselves. Just one point: Because the fireplace heat rises, the second floor was warm, but the first floor felt a bit chilly even with the heating on. We thought an electric carpet would have been nice. That said, both the exterior and interior were genuinely lovely, and it was very quiet with hardly any foot or car traffic, so we had a great stay. You kindly answered our questions by email many times before our stay, which made everything stress-free. Thank you very much.

Feel the closeness of nature and listen carefully: the rustling sound of bamboo leaves swaying in the wind, the chirping of insects and birds, and the moon floating in the vast sky. It was a time when my heart resonated quietly, deeply healing my soul. The open-air bath had water at just the right temperature, while the indoor bath was enveloped in a soothing aroma of cypress. The large sauna and cypress cold bath were also relaxing, and stepping out onto the terrace revealed an extraordinary view reminiscent of Bali or an overseas resort. This liberating accommodation where you can walk around freely feels truly unique. In the spacious living room, we enjoyed conversations at the counter, while in the large bath I shared luxurious moments talking with my daughter. Convenient for sightseeing as well—morning walks through silver grass fields, cycling visits to Hakone Shrine and Kuzuryu Shrine. We rode on Motomiya Ropeway, had a Japanese lunch at Yamano Hotel after checkout, followed by a leisurely time at a café. We fully enjoyed our trip to Hakone to its fullest extent. The accommodation was impeccably clean everywhere we went, making it comfortable throughout our stay. It’s an unforgettable experience that made us say “perfect” countless times from our hearts. We would love to visit again!

Five of us stayed together, and both the bedroom and living room were spacious, very clean, and extremely comfortable. Check-in was smooth as well! The amenities were well stocked, including loungewear, and it was very helpful to have plenty of provided tableware, cooking utensils, and seasonings. Above all, the sauna heated up to a high temperature in a relatively short time—it was fantastic! If I had to mention one thing, we would have loved one or two more relaxation chairs, but it was such a great Accommodation that it felt almost too good for the price during the Obon holiday period.

We had a wonderful stay in this luxurious villa, thoughtfully designed down to the smallest details. During the day, we were soothed by the fresh greenery visible through the double-height windows and from the bathtub, and at night we relaxed by the flames of the wood-burning stove. With an LP record player, a wood-burning stove, a second-floor bathroom, and carefully selected furniture, we enjoyed a space unlike any other vacation rental. Of course, it also supports streaming services and Bluetooth. The open and spacious kitchen is fully equipped with tableware, cooking utensils, and even basic seasonings—perfect for guests who prefer to cook without needing to bring anything. Two hair dryers, a washing machine, a clothes dryer, detergent, and laundry detergent are also provided, so there’s no need to pack extras even for longer stays. To make the most of this wonderful Facility, we recommend adding options such as the wood-burning stove or BBQ set. For dining out, Harunire Terrace and an area with many restaurants are easily accessible in just a few minutes by car or taxi. If you prefer cooking at home, Tsuruya Karuizawa store is also easy to reach. As it had just opened when we visited, Wi-Fi was still under installation; however mobile service worked fine—and honestly it felt even more relaxing without being constantly connected. We would love to stay again. *For guests with small children: please note that there are features such as the wood-burning stove (when in use), stairs and open atrium areas (double-height ceiling), and sloped sections from the wooden deck. We recommend confirming these points in advance.*
