This was our first visit with three people, including an elderly guest. Thank you for offering to lend us a wheelchair as soon as we arrived. Our Room was a top-floor Japanese-Western style room with a great view, and being close to the elevator was very helpful. The meals were thoughtfully prepared and delicious. The only disappointment was the open-air bath: the stairs leading to it were too steep, and it felt so quiet around there that it was a little unsettling to go alone even during the day. All of the staff were extremely polite, friendly, and cheerful, and we truly appreciated your hospitality. Thank you as well for your consideration regarding the wheelchair. We think this Accommodation is very easy to use for families with small children and for elderly guests. We would like to stay here again when we visit Toba.

I was able to stay one night at a discounted rate with a Reservation made one month in advance. (I stayed on the first day of the Nagano Tomyo Festival. I thought it might be hard to book, but since I applied early, I was able to make a Reservation.) It has great access from Nagano Station, the room was clean, and I was very satisfied with the wide selection of amenities. I didn’t notice any noise from the city or inside the Hotel at all. The staff were always smiling and helpful, so even as a woman staying alone, I felt safe. I really appreciated the variety of tea bags and that there were two types of bath salts. Thank you very much for your hospitality. When staying in Nagano again, I would definitely like to use this Accommodation again.

I was very satisfied with the meal selection and timing, as well as the attentive service from the staff during meals. The Room also offered a lovely view of the green mountains, and best of all, it was quiet with no hustle and bustle, so I could truly relax. The bath was a bit far and required walking across floors; since this stay was in summer it was fine, but if I have the chance to stay in winter, I think it would be nice to have a long-sleeved jacket to wear over the yukata. Both dinner and breakfast were light yet satisfying, and every dish was delicious. In the morning there was complimentary coffee, which was perfect for a relaxing moment before departure. I would like to stay again when traveling in Chiba. Thank you very much.

It was my first time visiting Shodoshima. The two-meal Plan at this price is an excellent value. Sashimi was served with five different ways to enjoy it (local soy sauce, olive oil, etc.), and every dish made with local ingredients was very satisfying. The Facility feels a bit dated, but the Room, the bath, the views from the restaurant, and the wonderful service from all the staff greatly increased our overall satisfaction. Thank you very much for taking care of us. I would like to stay again.

Beautiful scenery, a resort-like atmosphere throughout the property, and carefully prepared seasonal dishes. The service was attentive, courteous, and truly pleasant. The cool natural air and enjoyable walks made me very glad I visited. Breakfast was also brought to our table, allowing us to relax and enjoy the meal at ease. I appreciated the Shuttle Service from Yudanaka Station, and taking a short break in the lounge was a wonderful time as well. Although it was a trip during the heat, I felt refreshed and ready to get through the summer with renewed energy. I am turning 77 this year. I want to continue enjoying wonderful trips—dressing up and savoring stays at Resort Hotels and Ryokans.

The Western-style room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable. There was a wide variety of dinner options, making it easy to choose. The Shinshu salmon was delicious. The soft-serve ice cream machine was self-serve, and the ice cream was rich and tasty. I’d like to visit again during the autumn foliage season.

Free Shuttle Service is available from Kawaguchiko Station. (Pickup requires a Reservation in advance; drop-off can be reserved at check-in.) Both the exterior and interior show their age, but the Room and other areas are well cleaned and kept tidy. The sink felt a bit dated. The Room key was delightfully nostalgic (laughs). I didn’t use the outdoor bath, so I can’t comment on it, but the Room I stayed in had a shower only. It seemed newly renovated and was very clean. (The provided shampoos include both DHC and Ichikami!) Lotion, emulsion, and makeup remover were POLA amenities. I ordered both dinner and breakfast; the portions were generous and everything was delicious! I really appreciated that it wasn’t buffet-style. Hot dishes were served hot. There is a laundry area; detergent costs 100 yen, but the drum washing machines are free to use! (There are two machines.) The staff’s service was excellent! So it felt more like a Ryokan than a Hotel. Thank you very much for your hospitality during my stay!

Both the space and the hospitality were very comfortable. At the end of dinner, rice and eel were served, but the eel was tough and the seasoning wasn’t to my taste. The rice was very delicious. As a Diamond member gift, I received rice. I plan to cook it in a clay pot. The bath is on the small side, but it was very clean with a faint sulfur scent—truly the best Onsen I’ve ever experienced. I was worried because I had facial allergies, but instead the itching went away and the redness subsided. Once again, I was impressed by the power of nature. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us.

After 25 years of visiting Nozawa Onsen just for skiing without staying overnight, this was my first stay. The Onsen was incredibly relaxing, and since it’s available all night, I went in from around 5 a.m.! Every dish was delicious; being in season, we had bamboo shoot rice. The attendant’s hospitality was wonderful, and we had a great conversation about visiting Togakushi Okusha the next day. Breakfast the following morning was also very enjoyable. I’m grateful to have stayed at such a lovely Accommodation and to all the staff. I’d love to stay again!

We visited as a family of four, meeting up at Yamanashishi Station with our eldest son who lives in Tokyo and the three of us who drove from Kansai. As we got closer to the Accommodation, the country road shown by the navigation system made us think, “Could it really be this way?” and we struggled a little. If I had to mention any negatives from this trip, it would be that—and that the washbasin sink was black, so water marks were slightly noticeable after use. Upon arrival, we were surprised by how distinct and impressive it looked compared with its surroundings. We arrived about 30 minutes earlier than planned, but we were warmly welcomed and smoothly shown inside, which left a great first impression. The moment we opened the tasteful sliding entrance door set back from the gate, we were moved by the view stretching from the pine tree in the center courtyard all the way to the kura storehouse building across it. While preserving many historical elements—such as exterior walls, tiled roof, and pillars—the interior has been renovated into a clean and refined space that feels wonderful to spend time in. In both the audio room at the back where you can listen to records and the second-floor study stocked with everything from relatively recent Japanese literature to art books and foreign titles, there were chairs and ottomans in different styles arranged throughout. We were able to forget everyday life and relax at length. These spaces became favorites for my wife and daughter, who have a strong appreciation for music and art. My eldest son and I also used the sauna in the separate kura building across the courtyard before dinner. It’s available 24 hours; he enjoyed it late at night, while I went again after breakfast the next morning. In addition to a cold plunge bath there is also a regular bathtub; together with the indoor hinoki cypress bath in main building where you can fully stretch out your legs, there are two bathing options. Dinner and breakfast were served in another kura building on opposite side , featuring thoughtfully crafted dishes using plenty of local ingredients. We thoroughly enjoyed everything—especially Koshu-style sukiyaki with beef and horse meat paired with three dipping sauces—alongside wine we picked up on our way there. After dinner we projected onto a large screen with projector held family drama viewing night for all four of us. We slept in bedroom where four beds could be lined up comfortably side by side. They even provided charging cables at each bedside equipped with three types of connectors—we were impressed by such attention to detail. Speaking of details: along with alcohol , refrigerator was stocked plenty chilled mineral water which was very helpful given season . There was also an assortment of nostalgic snacks card games insect-repellent items etc., showing both thoughtfulness playfulness. A location completely removed from noise spacious layout well-maintained Facilities lacking nothing an endlessly interesting interior blending old new perfectly—and being able enjoy all without interference as family four. It exceeded our expectations imagination. We’re glad chose this place for one those precious few times each year when whole family can gather . Thank you for your attentive hospitality .

Although there is no large public bath, we were able to use five thoughtfully designed private baths for free as many times as we liked. The Room, the baths, and the post-bath lounge area were all very relaxing. It was great to have iced coffee in the post-bath lounge area—it was perfect for cooling down after a soak. The drinkable yogurt delivered to our Room in the morning was also delicious. One small downside to the meals was that the portions were large. Everything was so tasty that I wanted to eat it all, but I couldn’t finish—what a dilemma (lol). On the day we stayed, there was a town fireworks festival, and although it wasn’t huge, we enjoyed fireworks launched very close by.

We visited during the July long weekend with our two children, aged 9 and 5. As soon as we entered the Room, we were amazed by the view from the living room. That alone made the trip worthwhile. Everything in the Facility felt spotless, the view from the bath was wonderful, and there was also a washer-dryer and a fully equipped kitchen. We could truly live here. The activities were also incredibly well organized, and our children had an amazing experience. We harvested vegetables together, made pasta using what we picked, and melted beeswax to make herbal lip balm. Our younger child especially loved getting to actually pound the meat, coat it in flour, dip it in egg, and cover it with breadcrumbs. There’s no way I could give anything other than a perfect 5. We would love to visit again.

It was a truly wonderful Accommodation. The Room, meals, and Onsen were all completely satisfying. The staff were also very kind, and we were able to relax and enjoy a comfortable stay. We also enjoyed the nature of Norikura, and it is an Accommodation we would definitely like to stay at again. Thank you very much.

There were lots of adorable cats, and they played with us using toys! When we left the Room door slightly open, they came in, which was incredibly soothing. We also had a child with us, and they happily played with the toys, so we’re really glad we came. Even our daughter, who usually spends her time playing games, didn’t play even once—it turned into a fulfilling day and we were very satisfied! She said she wants to come again, so we’ll check our schedule and plan to visit again.

I came all the way from Hokkaido because I wanted to try Yobuko’s live squid. It turned out to be an excellent Hotel. Not only was the live squid cuisine outstanding, but the Room with its beautiful, expansive window overlooking the sea was also amazing. Next time, I’d love to visit again on a clear day. I woke up to rain, and in the morning open-air bath, the wet green maple leaves were glistening. Maybe I drank a little too much and ate too much yesterday? Time passed slowly, and I felt truly refreshed. What soothed me most was the smiles of the front desk team and the staff at Banri. Thank you very much.

On my first trip to Toyama, I stayed here for two nights during a 4-night, 5-day visit. I chose this Hotel for its convenient access to the trolley train, the wide variety of Toyama local cuisine, the table tennis, and above all, the incredible view from the Room. The Room was even better than I imagined—wonderful and very comfortable. We were lucky with the weather, so we could clearly see the trolley train, and I was moved every day by the beautiful scenery outside the window. The Onsen was somewhat busy at times but still within an acceptable range. The water left my skin feeling smooth. A small issue came up at dinner, but the way it was handled was truly heartfelt. They even gave my son some fireworks, which added something special to our family time together. It’s impressive that their response made me feel not only that it canceled out any inconvenience, but that it almost happened for a reason. I have great respect for the manager who assisted us. Everyone at this Hotel was wonderful—even down to each greeting from staff members. Thank you to the Shuttle Service driver for taking us back and forth to Unazuki Station so many times! And thank you as well to the woman working at the bar counter in the buffet venue for teaching me how to make a recommended delicious drink! Also, thank you for writing a letter for my son—he was deeply touched. He brought it home as a keepsake and is treasuring it. Toyama Prefecture has so much depth—I found many more places I want to visit. After entrance exams are over, I’d like to come again in autumn. This time I debated between a Deluxe Japanese-Western style Room and a Western-style Room, and chose the Western-style one. The Room was amazing, but now I’m curious about the Japanese-Western style too—choosing next time will be exciting. Beyond just the view, as a woman I was also impressed by how high-quality the hair dryer in our Room was. Such great attention to service detail. Is it the same hair dryer in every Room? My hair felt so silky afterward. If there’s one request: I’d be happy if there were women’s amenities in each Room (or at least amenity sets in deluxe Rooms). Some guests may want light makeup after using the Onsen as well; having an amenity set would make an already perfect stay even better. We used this Hotel as our base while sightseeing around various places. Next time I'd like to stay three nights. Thank you very much for everything!

This was my second stay since the renovation, and I was very satisfied with both the baths and the meals. I really appreciated having towels provided in the bath area. I hope there will be some measures to ease the crowding at the breakfast buffet.

This large 11-story resort suddenly appeared as we drove along a rural mountain road. The building was clean and didn’t feel old at all. The Japanese-Western style Room was also very practical. The Onsen is a simple hot spring, but both the indoor and outdoor baths are spacious. At the back of the large open-air bath, there were various small tubs that looked like they had bath additives in them, which was fun in its own way. Meals were served buffet-style in a large restaurant. There was an incredible variety of dishes, and there was quite a long line in front of the Western food counter. It seems great for families with children to enjoy dining, but for older guests it’s hard to eat that much and tiring to walk around, so I wished there had been a set menu option. As a Diamond member benefit, we received a full-size bottle of sparkling wine and finished it, but it was too much for just the two of us as a couple. It would have been nice if we could choose something like two cans of beer instead.

We thoroughly enjoyed both the dinner and breakfast buffets. At dinner, the Shimane Wagyu roast beef and sweet shrimp were especially delicious. For breakfast, in addition to making our own seafood bowl, we also loved the Shimane Wagyu beef stew, which was hearty with plenty of meat. The garden was beautiful, and all the staff were kind and helpful. Thank you very much.
