It was very quiet and had a relaxing atmosphere. They kindly changed our room to a bedroom, but the bed was narrow and a bit firm, which made it hard to sleep. Breakfast was delicious and we were satisfied. Thank you very much.

Thank you very much for your hospitality. At night, the typhoon brought intense wind and rain, and the river was flowing so fast that it was quite nerve-racking. Still, the food was delicious and the service was excellent, so we were very satisfied. The next day, there were landslides all around and many roads were closed! It turned into a valuable experience, including the episode of worrying about how we would get home.

I stayed during the late-snow season. I had visited once a long time ago, and this time I stayed for one night to relax and spend some quiet time in Ohara. Perhaps because of the season, I had the Onsen all to myself both morning and evening. The meals were Japanese-style, just how I like them: chicken hot pot for dinner, and simmered fish for breakfast with plenty of rice accompaniments. The chicken hot pot was delicious, and comparing different miso flavors made the rice go down even easier. The table layout was calm and comfortable, set so you can look out at the garden without feeling other guests’ eyes on you. Thanks to the kind advice from the young proprietress, I visited a temple she recommended the next day. There is quite a bit of self-service in the Room, but it didn’t bother me. The Accommodation also felt like great value, and I’d love to return every year around this time.

When we ordered extra squid, the Yobuko squid was truly delicious.

I felt unwell during dinner and couldn't eat the fresh sea urchin, but the hostess kindly prepared a sea urchin rice bowl for me the next morning. It was absolutely delicious. The staff were all very kind, which made me happy. If I have another chance to visit, I will make a reservation again. Thank you so much!

We stayed on a pet-friendly Plan for our dog’s first trip. The building with the pet Plan Rooms felt a bit old, but it was kept very clean and didn’t feel unpleasant at all. We really appreciated having pet amenities in the Room, such as a crate and a trash bin. Both dinner and breakfast were served as set meals, and everything was delicious. Our child, who usually doesn’t eat much, said it was tasty and ate heartily! The portions were more than enough—my big-eating husband was completely full and very satisfied. All of the staff were friendly, so we had a very comfortable stay. Just one thing: at check-in, we didn’t receive an information sheet with details such as facility guidance, business hours, or meal times/locations. I wish there had been one (we couldn’t find the bath hours in the in-room information file either, so we had to go all the way to the bath area to check). Still, it was a wonderful Accommodation that made us want to return—next time with our eldest child as well—and stay as a family of four plus our dog if we have another opportunity.

This was our first stay for 2 nights and 3 days—thank you for taking such great care of us. As it is limited to one group per building, the Room was spacious and comfortable. On the first day, we had sushi. A sushi kaiseki prepared just for us right in front of our eyes. Every piece was crafted with great care, and chatting with the chef made it an incredibly luxurious time. On the second day, we enjoyed kaiseki cuisine. The chef personally brought each dish to us, and talking about the depth of the料理 while enjoying drinks made it a truly special time. The owner’s wife was also very friendly and wonderful, making these 2 nights and 3 days truly meaningful. We will definitely come back again in a different season.

I have stayed here several times. At check-in, I was informed that the baths were renovated in May this year. One of the two baths has become very beautiful. Additionally, the shampoo, conditioner, and body soap are now provided by POLA. The previously slippery floor is now slip-resistant, and everything including the showers has been updated beautifully. The changing room is also spotless and lovely. I look forward to staying here again!

From the moment we arrived at the parking lot, the staff kindly guided us, and throughout our stay—from check-in at the front desk to meal times—every staff member was cheerful and welcoming, making us feel great! We stayed with our dog, and they were very kind to him as well. The facility seemed old but was very well-maintained and spotless—no issues at all! The meals were exceptional, starting with Yamagata beef for dinner and various small dishes. The breakfast buffet was of high quality with just the right variety of options. The bathwater was hot, but the spring quality was excellent! We appreciated being able to bring our dog into the dining area. If we have another opportunity, we would love to stay here again!

Although it is an old-fashioned Hotel, it was very clean, and the front desk staff provided clear explanations and excellent service. The meals were also delicious. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

It’s a bit of a walk from the station, but the scenery along the way is so beautiful that getting there is truly enjoyable. The moment I arrived at the Accommodation and stepped inside, I was genuinely moved by the wonderful atmosphere. Everywhere you look feels like a scene from a drama or novel—surrounded by beautiful architecture and furnishings, I was able to fully enjoy an extraordinary escape. The entire property was also impeccably clean, making my stay extremely comfortable. From my Room, I could gaze out at lush greenery, and the soothing sound of the river was so relaxing that I found myself listening for ages and losing track of time. The baths are private-use only (a large bath and a smaller bath), so I never had to share with other guests. Being able to soak in complete privacy and unwind without any hesitation was something I truly appreciated. And as for the meals—I chose a Plan with both dinner and breakfast included, and both were absolutely outstanding. For dinner, we went to Otowasanso for kaiseki cuisine. Not only was everything beautifully presented, but the dashi flavors were exceptional; I was continuously impressed from start to finish by these delicate dishes unique to Japan. The attendant who explained each course was warm and attentive throughout, which made it an especially happy experience. Breakfast was served on the second floor of Meitokuan. Freshly cooked rice, rolled omelet, grilled salmon, miso soup—each item was simple yet carefully prepared, leaving me feeling satisfied in both body and mind. Both dinner and breakfast were so wonderful that I honestly wished those moments would never end. If you stay at this Accommodation, I highly recommend choosing a Plan that includes both dinner and breakfast—you won’t regret it. Lastly, this was truly a lovely Accommodation filled with thoughtful attention to detail and heartfelt hospitality beyond what I can fully describe. I would love to visit again. It was a wonderful space. I’ve also uploaded photos, so I hope you’ll take a look. I was amazed at how beautifully this place has been designed—what could otherwise feel a bit small is made to feel so special. My wife, our 3-year-old child, and I stayed here and were very satisfied! The room was very clean, and our child was thrilled, saying, “The top bunk is my spot!” The sink area and bath were comfortable with everything we needed, and the TENTIAL sandals were also very comfortable to wear. I think this place will change people’s image of a “garage house hotel.” One thing I hope will improve going forward is the food. Dinner looked great—the plating and tableware were beautiful and enjoyable visually. On the other hand, the overall flavor felt like it could use one more step up. In particular, while the venison main dish was prepared in a very approachable way, those who love game meat might find it a little lacking. I was also personally disappointed that there wasn’t a glass red wine option to pair with the venison main. That said, since it was such an easy-to-eat dish, perhaps the by-the-glass selection was chosen intentionally to match that style. And breakfast— this is something I really hope you improve. The rice had dried out and become hard, which honestly made me sad. Personally, I feel breakfast can greatly change the overall impression of a Hotel stay. Because this Facility is so wonderful otherwise, I strongly felt you should put more effort into breakfast. Also, while the female staff member in charge of dinner came across as highly professional, at breakfast it felt like operations still weren’t running smoothly. In the end, after-meal drinks took quite a while to arrive and we had to wait. The families on both sides of us seemed to be in the same situation as well, so I hope this will be improved going forward. I’ve written various things about the meals but—above all—this place itself is truly lovely. I think it’s definitely worth staying at this Hotel. There was also a small issue during our stay this time; however, your response was very smooth and pleasant. Including how you handled an irregular situation like that, my personal evaluation is very high. As an aside: when my child and I woke up early for a walk in the morning—we actually found a stag beetle! My child was overjoyed as well; including that experience too, it became a wonderful memory.

This charming Ryokan is perfect for a relaxing stay, offering Onsen-equipped rooms where you can unwind all day. Ideal for a Multiple Night Stay, it allows you to fully enjoy the serene atmosphere. The meals are plentiful and satisfying, even for those with smaller appetites like my daughter and me. Complimentary beer and boiled eggs are available at the gazebo, adding to the delightful experience. What truly stands out is the warm hospitality of all staff members, from young male staff to new female staff, making every interaction soothing from check-in onwards. Located within walking distance of Yufuin's Yunotsubo Kaido Street, this Ryokan is highly recommended if you want to explore Yufuin while enjoying exceptional service and comfort.

My sister and I planned a SUP trip at Lake Aoki, and this Hotel is where we ended up. It was absolutely the right choice! We’re already talking about coming back in ski season. The Room was spacious, with a view of Lake Aoki from the window. The bathroom and other water facilities were clean and pleasant, and we had a very comfortable stay. Both dinner and breakfast, carefully prepared with local ingredients, were high quality—wonderful in both taste and atmosphere. The staff were full of hospitality and kindly helped us with our questions. In addition to the Shuttle Service from the station, they also provided Shuttle Service to the SUP meeting point, which was incredibly helpful. Family glamping trip. A sudden downpour started in the evening, and the dome began leaking. When we spoke to the staff, they immediately moved us from the dome to a villa Room. We really appreciated their quick response. The open-air bath attached to the villa also helped soothe our tired bodies. All of the staff were kind, and their smiles made this a relaxing trip. It became a wonderful memory. Thank you very much!

The property offers a stunning ocean view right in front, and the lighthouse is within walking distance. You can enjoy a peaceful time listening to the gentle sound of the waves. Please note that nearby shops close early, so it’s recommended to call ahead if you plan to dine out.

I stayed with my child who lives alone in Niigata, and our dogs. Since there was no fee for dogs, we were told to bring everything ourselves, so we prepared accordingly. As there was no extra charge, I won’t complain. The Room was spacious, and the dogs were thrilled to run around. Although it is an older Ryokan, it was kept very clean. The tea sweets were also delicious. The bath was spacious and relaxing. I was happy that it was available from 3:00 PM to 9:00 AM. The meals were delicious as well. The Uonuma rice came with free refills, so we had seconds at both dinner and breakfast. Great quality for this price—easy on the wallet and a wonderful memory.
