After five years, we finally had the chance to stay at Otogi no Yado Komeya. Over the past five years, we made several Reservations but had to Cancel the Reservation due to circumstances. This time, determined to make it happen, we went on a summer Onsen trip. The Room, hospitality, and cuisine were all outstanding. The free-flowing Onsen in particular felt like a high-quality lotion. We left feeling refreshed in both body and mind. This is our number-one Accommodation that we would love to visit again. Thank you for taking such great care of us.

The welcome service offered plum wine, black vinegar, juice, sweets, and ice cream. We arrived early and were able to relax until dinner even after taking a bath. We stayed in a Room with an open-air bath, and with free-flowing natural hot spring water, we could enjoy the Onsen anytime. The Room was excellent. The food was buffet-style, featuring local vegetables and specialties, along with many delicious dishes made with health in mind. I don’t often get the chance to visit Akita, but this is an Accommodation I would definitely like to return to. Thank you very much.

My first time at Myoban Onsen. I’m excited to be able to stay at Okamotoya, which is highly rated in guidebooks. I was very satisfied with the milky-blue water. The Room was just the right size for one person and had a great view, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The dessert pudding and the orange juice at breakfast were especially appreciated since I don’t drink alcohol. Since this is a Multiple Night Stay, it really helped that they provided extra yukata and towels. Just one thing: at dinner on the first day, the rice and soup were a bit lukewarm (it was fine on the second day). Also, perhaps due to the season, the seating was quite close to other guests during meals, which made it a little hard to eat comfortably. Still, I’m so satisfied that I’d definitely like to stay again. Thank you very much.

This was a wonderful Accommodation that made my first trip to Niigata truly special. While the building and furnishings showed their age, there were programs where we could enjoy local culture, such as shamisen performances and readings about the snow country, and thoughtful amenities like sake lees face packs, Japanese sake, and coffee, making it an Accommodation where we could fully enjoy Yuzawa. All of the staff, as well as the shamisen instructor, were outstanding. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

I stayed here while visiting home from Tokyo, also to celebrate my mother’s birthday. I consulted with the staff in advance about celebrating my 84-year-old mother, and on the day you kindly prepared a signboard at the dining area, special dishes, and even a cake—thank you very much. My mother was deeply moved and teared up, saying it would be “a keepsake for the afterlife,” and the surprise was a great success. I had already known how wonderful the Onsen water quality is, and since it’s easy to reach from my family home and has convenient access from the airport as well, I’d love to stay again. We were also lucky enough to see fireflies unexpectedly, making it a memorable stay for both of us. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

The Accommodation, the staff, the meals, and the Onsen were all outstanding. The meat and eggs in particular were unforgettable. If I visit Yufuin again, I will definitely stay here!

The service was outstanding. It was the best hospitality I have ever experienced at any Accommodation. The sashimi of Seki horse mackerel, Bungo beef, and local chicken were all delicious. I was able to relax in the open-air bath while gazing at the beautiful starry sky. I would definitely like to stay here again.

No matter how many times we visit, Osawa Onsen never disappoints. We were very satisfied again this time, including the attentive service from the staff. On the drive home, we were already planning when to come back next. Thank you very much.

The Onsen gets you wonderfully warm and feels great. The in-room bath is also very relaxing. The Room layout is lovely, and in the morning sunlight pours in—on a clear day, you can enjoy the sunrise. The food is delicious, and you can enjoy local Ureshino sake. The rice is especially outstanding. The yudofu at breakfast was the best.

For dinner, we chose the luxurious full-course Maezawa beef option. Every dish was absolutely delicious, but the portions were honestly too large for us (next time, the standard Plan will be more than enough). The open-air bath in our Room and the open-air bath at the large public bath were both excellent. From check-in to departure, the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout—this is a wonderful Onsen Ryokan that makes you want to come back.

The Onsen water has a silky, soothing quality and feels wonderful, but above all, the kids’ room was fantastic. Our 3-year-old grandchild loves it and had fun the entire time again on this visit. Seeing that happy smile is the best gift for us grandparents. This is our third stay this year, and we also have a Reservation for December 31 at year-end.

Thanks to the information you shared with us by email in advance, we were able to arrive smoothly at Yukaen by shuttle bus on the day. Check-in was also explained carefully, and we stayed comfortably throughout. We considered sightseeing on the second day, but since we had fully enjoyed Chuson-ji Temple on the first day, we decided to focus on relaxing and enjoying the Onsen. We booked a head and hand course at Nagomi-yu for day use, had lunch, and spent a very restful time. The fried shrimp and minced meat cutlet we ordered for daytime drinks were impressively generous portions, and everything was delicious. The lounge pancakes were also great—we finished them in no time. Dinner on the second night featured a different menu from the first, so we could enjoy a new atmosphere as well. The hospitality truly felt guest-focused and very comfortable; my friend and I said we'd love to come back as we left the Accommodation. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The location was absolutely amazing! The ocean was right in front of us, and the views were incredibly beautiful both in the morning and at sunset. The Room was spacious and spotless, and the pool and sauna were excellent. We relaxed in the evening while enjoying a BBQ, and everyone was very satisfied! Check-in was smooth, and the staff were polite and attentive. Highly recommended if you’re staying at a villa in Okinawa! We’d love to come back.

Although I often stay in Kirishima Onsen, this was my first time in Hitoyoshi Onsen, so I chose a relatively new Accommodation. It turned out to be the perfect choice, and on the way home my companion and I kept saying, “We’re glad we picked this place.” First of all, the Facility itself is new and very well cleaned, so check-in felt comfortable and pleasant. Next, the baths: both the indoor bath and open-air bath are stone-built with deep tubs; the water was pleasantly hot and gentle on the skin—truly a “beauty bath” quality—and I was very satisfied. Meals were served for both breakfast and dinner using local ingredients in thoughtful detail; everything was delicious in just the right portions. When visiting Kumamoto I had been hoping for basashi (horse sashimi), but it wasn’t included in this Plan; it was available to order separately, so I enjoyed it that way. What helped us most was assistance with making Reservations for lunch the next day and for activity facilities, as well as answering detailed questions. They kindly accommodated our requests—such as “I want to eat seasonal salt-grilled ayu” and “I’d like to try pottery on a wheel”—all with a smile. Thank you also for seeing us off even in light rain without opening an umbrella. The salt-grilled ayu at the restaurant you recommended was excellent, and we each made pottery pieces (a plate, a bowl, and a beer glass). After firing them in the kiln, they will be glazed in our requested colors that same day and then shipped to our home once finished—we’re looking forward to receiving them. I would love to visit again; however, there is one disappointing point: there is only one Room type available for stays of two or more people, so I would appreciate more options. I visited “PGM Okinawa Resort,” which just had its grand opening in July 2026! It has a refined, high-end atmosphere that Halekulani lovers will adore—the sophisticated design and overall vibe feel very similar. Since it has only just opened, there were still few guests and nothing felt crowded anywhere, so it was a lucky stay for me and I was truly satisfied. The Facility and service were genuinely outstanding, so I’m posting this Review to show my support! Room & Amenities The amenities are all L’OCCITANE, and the lovely scent is incredibly soothing. I also appreciated that the in-Room drinks were complimentary. Dining (Breakfast) A huge variety, including Japanese, Western, and Okinawan dishes—absolutely satisfying! As it’s newly opened, we were smoothly seated with no waiting time no matter when we went. *For a Multiple Night Stay, breakfast is held at the same venue on the second day as well, so it would be even better if guests could choose between venues. Service & Hospitality The staff’s service was truly excellent and full of hospitality. They took tons of photos for us—almost to an impressive extent—so we came home with lots of great memories (lol). Outdoor & Indoor Pools Outdoor pool: Located next to the golf course, offering lush greenery and an open feel that’s different from a seaside pool—fantastic! You can also use the covered poolside gazebo for free. Indoor pool: Spacious, with three kids’ slides—great for families. Sauna Options: Three types—a sauna with löyly (steam), an aroma sauna, and a cooling Snow sauna. Snow sauna: It was my first time experiencing snow falling from the ceiling in a sauna—I was amazed! It felt incredible on my heated body. One thing to note Because everything is such high quality overall, the only disappointment was that there isn’t a large public bath where you can soak up to your shoulders. Overall, this resort exceeded expectations in hospitality, Facility quality/specs, and comfort. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who loves refined spaces like Halekulani or wants to enjoy Okinawa in true luxury!

We stayed in a Room with an open-air bath, and it was excellent—the amenities were well stocked and the Room was clean and comfortable. Both dinner and breakfast were luxurious and delicious. The service was also very polite and attentive. This is a Ryokan we would definitely recommend.

I stayed with my 91-year-old mother, who uses a walking cart. Thank you for the Shuttle Service from Kaizuka Station. The meals had a gentle flavor and were very delicious; my mother said they were delicious and finished everything. We were able to relax in the Onsen in our Room.\nMy mother says she wants to come again, so please welcome us back.

I still couldn’t forget the wonderful impression from our previous stay, so we chose to stay again on this special occasion—our family member’s birthday. During our stay, the Hotel surprised us with a birthday cake, and we were truly touched by their thoughtful gesture. Inside the property, we enjoyed strolling through the historic Kasuien and the beautifully maintained gardens, spending a relaxing time while feeling its long history and charm. Throughout the Hotel, you can sense the dignity and elegance that comes from being loved by many notable figures and historical personalities. For dinner, at my son’s request we had teppanyaki; not only was the food excellent, but the attentive hospitality made it a memorable experience. The spacious, comfortable Room and the soothing Onsen were also wonderful, allowing us to unwind and forget about everyday life. Thanks to the warm hospitality of all the staff, it became an irreplaceable birthday. We sincerely appreciate everything. We would love to stay again when we visit Kyoto.
