We were thoroughly satisfied with the many delicious, beautifully presented dishes that captured the transition from summer to autumn. We enjoyed them in a private dining Room with a waterfall right in front of us. We stayed in a detached suite called Suirei, where a small stream runs through the Room. From the spacious open-air bath, there is another smaller open-air bath just down a few steps; each has a different temperature, so you can soak for as long as you like. The garden was also expansive, and we were able to fully enjoy summer and feel refreshed. Thank you very much for celebrating our 60th birthday with us. I hope to visit again even when I’m a grandmother.

We stayed in a river-view room with a private open-air bath. Everything was outstanding, from the hospitality, open-air bath, and meals to the view from the room, the fresh air and scents, cleanliness, and safety. We have often stayed at hotels in the past, but this ryokan helped us rediscover the unique charm of a traditional Japanese inn. It was a wonderful stay where we could truly relax. We would love to visit again.

Our first trip as siblings. We gathered from Kanagawa and Hyogo to stay at the hot spring town where our parents have fond memories. When we mentioned that it was my younger brother’s birthday, we received warm congratulations and even a commemorative gift. We were truly happy, and my brother was delighted as well—thank you very much. The hot springs were wonderful, the meals were delicious, and the staff’s kind words were so comforting. We were able to relax, share memories, and enjoy great food and drinks—an unforgettable time for which we are sincerely grateful. When I mentioned my back pain, you responded with such thoughtful care; both of us were very pleased and slept comfortably. We would love to visit again. Thank you very much for everything.

This was my second visit this year, and it’s soothing no matter when I come. The service strikes just the right balance of attentiveness and privacy, the rooms are spacious, and the meals keep evolving—overall, it’s a place with an exceptionally high level of satisfaction. 　This time in particular, the breakfast—renewed since this spring—was outstanding. In contrast to the gorgeous French dinner, it’s a simple Japanese-style meal, but each dish is truly delicious. They’ve also changed how they cook the rice, and the finishing bowl topped with dashi was superb. 　I’m already looking forward to being impressed again on my next visit.

It was two days full of surprise and inspiration. I only knew it was a museum Hotel, and to be honest, I came mainly for Briance—but it truly felt like an actual museum. Even while exploring the building, the staff kindly provided detailed explanations, which made it even more enjoyable. Every piece is one of a kind, and through the art tour program we also received in-depth commentary. I understood why so many guests return again and again, and it made me want to explore even more myself. The Room was very comfortable and easy to use, the lounge food was delicious, and even though we had dinner at Briance—the original purpose of our visit—we ended up fully enjoying the bar and lounge as well. The wonderful smiles and thoughtful hospitality from all the staff were outstanding, allowing us to spend a truly relaxing holiday. Thank you very much. Needless to say, we thoroughly enjoyed Briance as well.

I’ve stayed at many Accommodations, but this was the first one that felt absolutely flawless! I fell in love at first sight with the stunning rock bath scenery on YouTube and made a Reservation for the Yoimachi Room. The open-air bath was spacious, and the view from it was so breathtaking it nearly brought me to tears. The hot spring water was silky-smooth, and my skin felt amazing! The food was also delicious, and even the rice tasted exceptional. The nikujaga served at breakfast was so good that I’d love to ask—if you don’t mind—whether the soy sauce you use is light soy sauce or a type used mainly in Kyushu. The Room was wonderfully quiet as well, and I could truly relax. I definitely want to come back for a special occasion. Next year, I’ll visit one of your sister properties too.

We stayed in a Room with a private Onsen. We also used the large public bath, and since there are only a few Rooms, we were able to enjoy it privately. I couldn’t tell the difference between the two hot spring sources, but the water was soft and the temperature was just right. In any case, the garden is wonderful. Although Tendo Onsen is located in town, it’s in a calm setting where you can hear cicadas. And the food is outstanding—no typical “just to increase the number of dishes” meals; instead, you can enjoy local and seasonal ingredients prepared with care and served with refined flavors. They also have an excellent selection of Dewazakura sake. I stay at various Accommodations for work, and among those that fit our budget and lifestyle, this is one of the very best. We’d love to stay again.

This was my first stay. I visit Osaka every 2–3 months, and this hotel provided an outstanding experience in every way. Check-in was smooth, and the amenities were the most extensive I’ve ever seen. Since I take baths more than three times a day, the complimentary bath salts, bath towels, and hand towels were especially appreciated. The 24-hour free drink bar and complimentary alcohol meant there was no need to stop by a convenience store. The free popcorn, chocolate snacks, and candies were also a delightful touch. The room had a smart TV, delicious bottled water in the fridge, and even a microwave in each room. The bathroom and toilet are separate, making it very comfortable. There’s also a jet bath and a TV in the bathroom. There were plenty of amenities inside the room as well—ones I didn’t use myself but would be great for women. With complimentary breakfast service, late-night noodles in the evening, and afternoon tea in the afternoon, there were so many wonderful services included. With prices rising everywhere these days, I almost felt sorry paying this rate for such great value. Every staff member showed exceptional hospitality—I was completely satisfied. The location is excellent as well: Namba Station on the subway line(s), JR Namba Station, and Nankai Namba Station are all within about five minutes’ walk. This is a fantastic hotel that I can confidently recommend to others. It’s definitely a hotel I want to stay at again whenever I’m in Osaka. Thank you very much.

The female staff member at reception during check-in impressed me with her proactive, exemplary hospitality. I stay at Hotels for a change of pace, and this Hotel made me feel at ease in every way—facilities, staff, and overall comfort—with no small discomforts. It was part of the Plan, but I gladly took them up on it and stayed for 24 hours. At reception, they said, “Please let us know if there is anything you need,” showing a positive attitude. At the restaurant as well: “Please relax and enjoy your stay.” They even asked, “Did you sleep well?” You don’t often hear that elsewhere. It had been a while since I stayed at a major international chain Hotel, and their training truly showed. The Room design is also charming. I can see why it’s popular with guests from both Japan and abroad.

In-room dining and a private open-air bath in the Room made it a completely private space. The meals were delicious. This Accommodation was great for families with small children, as you can relax and enjoy your stay without worrying about others. It was a bit difficult to do makeup, so having a handheld mirror would be helpful.

The staff’s attentive hospitality and thoughtful care were truly wonderful, and I was able to spend a very comfortable stay from check-in to check-out. The interior of the property and the room features a calm Japanese-modern design in greige tones, with impeccable taste in decor. It was exactly my kind of style, so I found myself simply gazing around and feeling soothed. The rooftop lounge offered an abundant selection of juices, alcoholic drinks, coffee, Atami’s famous sweets, and light snacks. I couldn’t believe I could choose so freely—can I really have any of these?—and I got genuinely excited. Sipping drinks, enjoying sweets, soaking in the foot bath… it was such a luxurious time taking in the views of Atami. The staff also maintained the perfect level of attentiveness—providing towels to dry our feet and preparing drinks—so considerate in every way. I’m truly grateful. What especially impressed me was the full-course dinner. Each dish was beautifully presented—not only a feast for the eyes—but also had deep flavors with sauces crafted down to the finest detail. I was genuinely moved. Even now, looking back at my photos brings back that lingering feeling: how beautiful it was and how delicious everything tasted. Everything—the room, the meals, and the hospitality—was perfect. It was a place where I could truly refresh from the heart. I feel fully recharged; I’ll do my best day by day and hope to return again someday. Thank you very much.

I visited Shiobara Onsen with my 84-year-old mother from Taiwan on a family trip. The inn is quiet and cozy, with only 11 rooms. Thanks to the staff’s warm hospitality, my mother felt at ease throughout our stay. Dinner was a kaiseki meal made with seasonal ingredients, and this time we chose the rare soft-shelled turtle course. I was surprised when they even served soft-shelled turtle blood, but it became a memorable food experience unique to traveling. The hot springs are 100% free-flowing from the source. We stayed in the “Izumo” room, a spacious guest room overlooking the Hoki River, with both an open-air bath and an indoor bath. The two private reservable baths were also large and beautiful, and what impressed me most was that my mother could enjoy the hot springs without worrying about others. The scenery, cuisine, hot springs, and hospitality were all wonderful—an unforgettable set of memories with my mother.

This is the oldest hot spring in the San’in region, and it’s also a natural free-flowing Onsen—an absolute must for an Onsen enthusiast like me (laugh). The building does feel old because of its long history, but that’s part of its charm, and I hope it will continue for many years to come. The meals were a bit too much for me as an older guest; I would have preferred smaller portions with higher quality. The staff were wonderful. Thank you very much.

We stayed here on the middle day of a three-day holiday weekend. This wonderful inn exceeded every “I wish it were like this” and “It would be nice if they had this,” and within minutes of arriving I was already thinking, “I want to come back!” [Service / Facilities / Baths] Everyone who assisted us was warm and courteous, and we were able to relax in a calm, welcoming atmosphere. The room and the entire property were very clean, with tasteful ornaments and seasonal decorations throughout—such a lovely space. The amenities provided in the room and baths also reflected thoughtful attention to detail; you could really feel the staff’s care in having things that make guests think, “This is exactly what I needed.” Both the indoor bath and open-air bath could be reserved for private use, so we were able to unwind completely. The changing area was spotless, and the water temperature was perfect. When I headed to the indoor bath right after check-in, I was impressed—the mirrors gleamed, the faucets gleamed; everything was impeccably cleaned. [Meals] Both dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious. Highlights included a rich, velvety pumpkin potage; grated yam topped with soy-marinated egg yolk; whole char that was delicious down to the last bite; gently flavored vinegared dishes; chestnut rice with clear soup, and more. The yuba (tofu skin) and Japanese pepper were also excellent. We upgraded the main dish to wagyu beef—it was tender with a melt-in-your-mouth texture. For breakfast, the rice cooked in an earthenware pot was fluffy and glossy—I ended up having multiple refills. Everything—from teriyaki yellowtail to sesame tofu, miso soup, colorful vegetables with homemade dressing—was delicately seasoned with comforting flavors, and all of it was wonderful. This is a truly special inn where you can feel genuine hospitality everywhere. We’ve traveled to many places before, but this is somewhere we definitely want to return to—an inn that made me feel grateful to be Japanese. Thank you very much for taking such great care of us.

This was our second stay, and it was a wonderful Room where we could enjoy an open-air rock bath while looking out at the beautiful garden (with an indoor bath as well). Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and my elderly mother was very satisfied. The service was excellent, and we truly appreciate all your help.

My spouse and I stayed here, and we truly had a wonderful time from start to finish. From the private open-air bath with free-flowing natural hot spring water, we enjoyed breathtaking views of Dogashima, and soaking while gazing out at the sea was exceptional. Watching the sunset… then enjoying the open-air bath under a sky full of stars… it was such a luxurious experience. The room was spacious with a great view, and we were able to relax in a private, comfortable atmosphere. Dinner was an original Japanese-Western kaiseki course featuring plenty of seasonal ingredients—both beautiful to look at and delicious. We also enjoyed taking our time with the three-tiered breakfast box; this is an inn that makes you look forward to mealtimes. Above all, every staff member was warm and attentive. We were especially charmed by Mr./Ms. B’s playful personality, and we truly appreciated all the thoughtful details. With wonderful views from both the dining area and the room, this is an inn we would love to stay at again. Thank you very much.

We had another very comfortable stay. We were soothed by everyone’s smiles and warm hospitality, the delicious meals, and the Onsen. The large public bath has everything you need, so it’s great that you can go empty-handed—it’s so easy and convenient. The Niagara wine we enjoyed in the lounge was also excellent! It was my sister’s first time at Otaru Furukawa, and she was very satisfied. Thank you as well for taking a two-shot photo of us in front of the Hotel! We usually enjoy a quiet couples’ getaway, but this time we left our car with you before check-in and enjoyed sightseeing in Otaru for the first time in a while. Furukawa is in a wonderful location right by the canal, and the view from our Room was lovely. Kojohama, Jozankei, and Otaru each have their own unique charm, and they’ve made us love Furukawa even more. We would love to visit again.

We stayed as a family of three—my wife, our one-year-old daughter, and me. The room was spacious and very relaxing. Having a washing machine in the room was really convenient. Meals were served in our room, and we enjoyed French cuisine and sushi—everything was delicious. Above all, the service was outstanding. We were especially happy that two young staff members were so kind to our daughter. She was delighted. Since there were no other guests at the same time for teppanyaki, we were invited to sit at the counter. The teppanyaki was of course excellent, and chatting with the head chef was also a lot of fun. They even changed our daughter’s meal from the previous day’s menu, and their thoughtful attention to detail was wonderful. We would love to stay again. Thank you for such a happy time.

Whenever I find some free time, I visit Sunset Susami to relax. But what impresses me most is the people who work here. No matter when I come, everyone is kind, and even the newly hired staff (including international staff) explain the dishes in Japanese—you can really feel how hard they are trying. From check-in to meals, they do their very best to provide warm hospitality, and it makes me feel grateful and comforted. There may not be flashy or luxurious facilities, but the rooms, lobby, and restrooms are always kept spotless and well cleaned. Whenever I stay here, I can always head home feeling refreshed. I didn’t get to see the manager this time, but please take good care of yourself.

Just as when I stayed before COVID, I was able to enjoy a wonderful time away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Unfortunately, it was raining when I arrived, but the staff dried my wet umbrella and delivered it to my room. The free-flowing hinoki bath is surrounded by greenery, and the silky-smooth water refreshes both body and mind. At Nichols Bar, I enjoyed a cocktail made with locally grown kabosu—it was wonderfully refreshing. For breakfast, I also enjoyed plenty of ingredients unique to Yufuin.
